Violet had been standing in front of the mirror in her closet for an hour, meticulously making sure she looked absolutely perfect. Making sure there was nothing there for her mother to critique.
"You look absolutely ridiculous, Violet Marie. You not a thing like yourself."
"This is how my mother likes me to dress," Violet turned to see Loki wearing 'Logan's' face but with his own black hair, green eyes, and smirk as he leaned against the closets doorframe.
Violet felt her face heat up as Loki eyed her from head to toe. She felt completely inadequate and underdressed, especially compared to the elegant tuxedo he was wearing. Vi was wearing an outfit bought entirely by her mother. Sensible flats, an extremely unflattering mid-calf length skirt, and a sweater with a hideous argle print.
"I know you have better taste in clothing than this."
"Mom bought it for me. She expects me to wear it." Violet smiled sadly as she said it.
"Close your eyes for me, please."
"Why?"
"Just trust me, Violet."
Violet closed her eyes obediently and waited. She felt the air around her swirl, she felt her clothes change from what they were, she felt her hair come down from the tight bun on top of her head.
"Well, you are certainly dressed better…" Loki trailed off. "Now for your hair."
"What about my-"
"Quiet woman, I am trying to save your appearance."
Violet huffed in annoyance but stood still as Loki's long fingers worked in her hair. Vi lost herself in the sensation until Loki announced he was finished.
Violet tried and failed to keep her mouth from flopping open when she looked to see what Loki had done to her. Her skirt and sweater had into a floaty black dress with a square neckline that showed enough skin to show off her curves but still be modest enough to please her parents. It swished around the tops of her knees as she turned to look at her hair. Loki had braided the top layer of her hair across both sides of her head and joined where the two met with a jade green butterfly.
"Now, a few more touches…" Loki said quietly. He made quick work of tying a sash around her waist and putting a necklace around her neck. The butterfly at the end of the gold chain was the same as the one in her hair and the sash matched the color.
"You look ravishing, Violet Marie Hill." Loki whispered into her ear, causing her to shiver.
"All because of you…" She turned to look at him. He was so close…
"In a way, I suppose…" Loki mused.
Violet forced herself to step back instead of leaning in like her brain was saying she wanted to do. She grabbed her clutch from a shelf and turned to leave the closet.
"Your shoes, Violet,"
"Thanks Lo." Violet grabbed the strappy green heels from Loki's hands. "Shall we go so you can charm the socks off my parents?'
"Sounds like a wonderful idea."
