Yeah this chapter's title totally came from Sweeney Todd. Points to anyone who can tell me the name of the song that line is from. Oh and I absolutely love how I wrote Mystique even if she isn't really in character.

"What happened?" Mystique slurred her words together as the world around her slowly broke through the dark haze. She tried to lift her arms so her hands could cradle her aching head but quickly discovered she couldn't so much as twitch them. She glanced downward to notice large brown straps digging quite painfully into her blue skin; keeping her secured to the bed that she laid upon. Wide eyes quickly returned to her arms to confirm that they were in fact blue. Oh well this was what she wanted, although her plan didn't include being strapped to a bed.

"Where's Kitty?" A very gruff voice practically yelled and one easily pin-point it back to Logan. Seeing as he never was one to fuse over civilities.

"I don't know." She answered with a very rare truth; made even rarer by the fact that she didn't really have anything to gain from telling it.

"Don't give me that! Now where is she?"

Mystique, however, merely lifted an eyebrow before lowering her head back into the pillow, "I already told you."

"Mystique!" Logan yelled her name so that it came out in-between a bark and a growl. The side of her lips curled upward before she let out an exaggerated sigh.

"I would tell you what happened but you keep yelling at me." Mystique eyes flickered over his homicidal face and then continued, "Fine, I'll tell you. I disguised myself as one of the guys who kidnapped Kitty and they drove me to their secret lair. I got caught, poisoned and forced to help them kidnap Kitty and take her place. Happy now?"

Now Mystique knew she was ticking Logan off. Heck one look at his face would tip you off to that fact. The anger on Logan's face pretty much blew every single villain out of the water even if you had combined them all together. But hey she was dying anyway.

"So you don't know where they're keeping her?" His voice was low and seething with hate, but at least he wasn't yelling anymore.

"Not at all."

Mystique watched in silence as Logan began to pace in a way similar to a caged predator at the zoo. All too soon she noticed that it was getting harder and harder for her to breathe. Black spots once again danced before her eyes. The lack of oxygen in her blood quickly had her gasping loud enough for Logan to finally care enough to turn back around with a hint of confusion on his face.

'Guess they didn't want a big scene.' Was her last thought before her eyes closed forever.

Logan silently stepped towards the seemingly sleeping figure before he came to rest beside the bed. One of his large hands around her neck while the other engulfed her wrist; just to be sure; but a pulse still couldn't be found. With that he turned on his heel and left in search for Beast.

"You're right she's dead. But why?" Beast glanced up from the corpse to Logan who stood on the other side of the bed.

"Said she was poisoned." Logan replied and Beast quickly relayed that information to his clipboard..

"This villain is exceedingly cunning but why go through all that trouble if we were going to find out anyway?" Beast's eyes filmed over as thoughts began to pour into his mind.

"Perhaps they did not expect Mystique to live enough to tell us." Charles commented as he rolled into the room," Lance said that he saw Mystique in Kitty's form injecting herself with a shot. Maybe it was an antibiotic of sorts."

"Am I the only one who is wondering how they even knew Kitty got pregnant?" Logan asked as stepped around the table. Charles placed the fingers on his left hand under his chin as he pondered an answer.

"I believe that somebody around the mansion has told me that Pietro has gone missing too. Presumably before Kitty was taken. Beast piped in before pointing back at the female corpse, "What should I do with her?"

"I'll make preparations with the morgue just leave her there." Charles stated as he motioned for Logan to open the door for him.

Davidson sprinted down the hallway leading to his brother's office and nothing was stopping him, not even the pretty maid he had just plowed over. Although he did toss a sorry over his shoulder seeing how well-formed her anatomy was. When he finally skidded to a stop the office door was about an inch away from his nose. So he caught his breath as much as he could and marched in.

"So she finally kicked the bucket." Davidson smiled after taking a seat on the edge of Marshall's desk, "But she spilled the beans while doing it."

"Well this could turn out to be in our favor. Carry on with phase three." Marshall declared without a passing glance from the paper he was holding. With a mock salute Davidson strolled from the room. As soon as he heard the door click behind him he waved over a subordinate.

"Prepare phase three." He handed over the command and watched the younger guy disappear around a corner before he left in search of the maid he had run into only moments before.

*line break* I have a lot this chapter

"So tell me again why you called Magneto." Toad questioned from his spot on Fred's shoulder.

"Because it turned out Kitty was really Mystique who was in cahoots with the enemy. So the enemy has Kitty and probably Pietro too." Lance frowned in frustration as he awaited a phone call from either the X-men saying they had gotten ahold of Magneto or from Bucket Head himself. He eyed the phone willing it to ring but to his disappointment it didn't. So he snatched it up and proceeded to dial the number Charles had said belonged to Pietro's father.

"We're sorry this line is busy." The animated female voice had grown rather irksome to poor Lance. According to her the line had been busy for nearly an hour. He was able to squeeze in two or three voicemails before that though.

"This is going to take forever." Lance groaned while he placed the phone back into its cradle. Just as he fingertips left the hard plastic ringing pierced the air.

"Hello." Lance greeted into the receiver after placing it next to his face.

"It's Logan, Magneto said he's coming." Logan stated in his usual brusque manner before the line once again went dead.

"He's not staying here is he?" Toad asked as horror slipped on his face which only grew once he saw Lance's shrug.

"We're all going to die." Fred moaned for once taking a break from his sandwich.

Being late seems to have become a habit of mine and I hate that. But I am finding that this year of school is rather stressful and stress makes my creativity flat line. Yeah it sucks because in my house it's rather difficult to un-stress yourself.
