"What the hell are you doing here?" Gibbs asked, staring at the last person he ever expected to see on his front porch.
"Agent Gibbs," came the slick reply of Anthony DiNozzo Senior. "Junior said he was going to be over here tonight, so I was hoping to be able to talk to him."
Looking at him rather perplexed and wondering what his ulterior motive was, the gruff special agent allowed his senior agent's father to enter. "Go ahead and have a seat," he said, pointing into the living room. "I'll be back."
"Thank you," he said, taking off his coat before going to sit on the couch.
Keeping a careful eye on DiNozzo Senior, Gibbs went back upstairs to the nursery where Jenny was.
"Who was at the door, Jethro?" she asked, rocking Sophia lightly in the chair Gibbs had made once they found out she was having a girl.
"Tony's father," he replied, looking at his sleeping daughter.
Grateful that she was already sitting down in the rocker, Jenny tried to not let her shock show when she heard of their unexpected guest. "Um Jethro, you might want to call Tony so he can stop Caterina from coming over here," she said, looking up at him. "She doesn't want to see her dad."
"Yeah," he sighed, running a hand over Sophia's head gently. "I know."

"Abby, do you think you got enough presents for Sophia?" Ziva asked, as she was picking Abby up to go over to Gibbs and Jenny's house for the party.
"Well," she replied, looking at the massive pile of gifts a little hesitantly. "I guess I may have gotten a little carried away with shopping."
"I think she will be very lucky to have you as a sister," she said, following the bubbly Goth scientist out to her car. "Gibbs and Jenny definitely won't have to buy anything for her anytime soon."
Nodding her head, her pigtails flipping back and forth, they got into Ziva's Mini Cooper. "Okay, so it's time for you to spill David, what's going on with you and Tony?"
Starting the car up, Ziva put on her Mossad mask, hoping that Abby wouldn't be able to see through her response and know that she wasn't entirely truthful. "We are partners Abby that is all."
"Yeah, and I'm the lead singer of Plastic Death," she scoffed, rolling her eyes lightly.
Keeping her attention on the road, Ziva continued to let Abby think whatever she wanted, knowing it would be a futile effort in trying to convince her otherwise.

By the time Gibbs finally got a hold of Tony, he was frustrated to find out that Caterina had left before Tony and was all ready on her way to the house. Going downstairs with Jenny and Sophia, he waited outside for Cat to pull up to the house, hoping to sneak her into the house until Tony got there and found out what their father wanted and he could get him to leave.
"Hey Gibbs," Cat said, after she had pulled up into the driveway and started getting her portfolio bag and Cooper out of the backseat. "I hope you and Jenny like the prints I chose for you."
Taking Cooper from her all ready full arms, Gibbs led her up to the house. "I'm sure we'll love them," he said, grabbing her arm lightly before they could go inside. "Cat, your father is here. I called Tony hoping to keep you from getting here before he left, but he said you were all ready on your way. He should be on his way now, so he'll talk to him and get him out of here so you don't have to deal with him."
"Um, wow," she muttered, an overwhelming sense of shock and near dread filling her. "What is he doing here?"
"He said that he talked to Tony earlier, and he had said that he was coming over here," he replied, keeping a hold of her arm to steady her. "Then your dad decided to come here and talk to him about whatever it was he wanted."
Thinking over the options that she had; she could only hope that Tony arrived pretty quickly. She knew that their father was a special kind of con artist. The stories that her mother had told her, as well as Tony, she was almost afraid to face him and have him find out about her son, her budding photography career, or anything from her past. "Um, could you possibly sneak me and Coop into the house, without my dad seeing us?" She asked softly. "I don't want him to know I have a son."
"Yeah, let me go talk to Jen," he replied, handing Coop back to her. "I'll have her come out and help you inside, she can take you and Coop up to the nursery."
"Thanks Gibbs," she said, letting out a grateful sigh.
Going inside the house, Gibbs pulled Jenny off to the side and told her the situation and asked her to go help Cat bring in Coop and her things, while he occupied Senior. Once she was outside doing that, Gibbs asked Senior to follow him into the kitchen and he would fix him a drink. He could sense there was an ulterior motive for the unplanned visit from him, and he could only hope that Tony was able to find out what brought him here, and get rid of him before he found out that Caterina and Coop were there.

"Thanks for helping me sneak in here Jenny," Cat said, as they had managed to get into the nursery without anyone being any the wiser. "I just don't want my father to know about Coop. I mean, I could care less what he thinks about me, but I'm just afraid that he would see some sort of money opportunity in Coop. The stories my mom has told me about him. He's just a money hungry, son of a bitch."
"There's no need to thank me," she replied, knowing that the young girl was terrified of what would happen. "Tony will be here shortly, he'll get rid of your father and we'll be able to enjoy this evening."
"Great," she said, as she started pulling a binder out of her bag. "I thought I could go ahead and show you some of the pictures I printed out. I put them together in this binder; you can do what you want with it."
Taking the binder from her, Jenny sat down in the rocker and opened up to the first page. "Oh my," she said softly, tears springing to her eyes as she saw the family picture of Gibbs holding Sophia, and both he and Jenny looking down at her. The picture was in black and white, but you could still see the love and adoration shining from both of them to their little miracle.
"Is that a good, 'oh my'?" She asked, biting her lip nervously. For some reason, unbeknownst to her, she was extremely nervous to be responsible for capturing the first newborn pictures of her brother's bosses and daughter.
"These are fantastic," she replied, looking at the other pictures. "I think this is probably one of my favorites."
"Which one?"
Turning the binder around, Jenny showed her the picture that had Sophia swaddled up and asleep, with the poem 'I Will Love You Forever' written in a beautiful script to the left of her. "How did you get the writing on there?"
"Well I had the poem all ready, so when I went in and was touching up the pictures and all, I can impose things like that onto the photographs," she explained, handing Coop a couple of his toys to keep him entertained while they were looking over the pictures.
Before Jenny could ask any more questions, Gibbs came into the nursery. "Tony just got here," he said, looking over at Caterina. "He's taken him outside to talk to him, and tell him he has to leave."
"Hopefully he listens to him," she replied with a sigh. "Tony's told me that dad really doesn't like to listen to anything he says."
"Don't worry, if he won't listen to Tony, then Jethro will make him leave," Jenny replied, sparing a glance over at him.

"What are you doing here?" Tony asked, as he was standing outside talking to his father.
Flashing his usual DiNozzo smile, Anthony Sr. looked at his son. "Well it is Christmas son; I thought we could spend the holiday together."
"Gee dad, we haven't spent a holiday together in fifteen years," he replied, shaking his head at him. "Why now?"
"Trying to make up for lost time."
"I wish you had called me first dad," he said, rubbing his hand over his face. "Tonight is not a good night. Let me call you a cab to take you to The Adams House."
"Junior, what's going on?" he asked, looking up at his son questioningly. "Why don't you want me staying with you?"
Trying to fight back the urge to yell at his dad, Tony kept calm and simply answered that Ziva was staying with him still; that her recuperation from her knee surgery was going slower than they thought.
"Fine, call me a cab," Senior said, as he looked at Tony weirdly.

By the time Senior's cab pulled away, Ziva's car pulled up behind Tony's; just as McGee, Ducky and Palmer pulled up. "Timmy!" Abby squealed, as she got out of Ziva's car.
"Hey Abs," he replied, wrapping an arm around her as she bounced around him in excitement.
"Don't you just love Christmas?" She asked, as they walked into the house.
Thinking over his answer carefully, McGee kissed the side of her head and simply replied. "Yeah Abs, Christmas is great."
"Well you don't sound very convincing," she replied, looking up at him. "What's wrong?"
"Sarah's stuck in Boston cause of the blizzard up there," he answered, as they walked into the house. "We were supposed to get together tomorrow for dinner with Penny."
"It's okay McGee, I mean I know we're not all really family but I think somehow we've become more like family than if we were blood related," she said, leaning over and giving him a hug.
"Thanks Abs,"

Tony was sitting in the living room, playing with Coop and talking to Ziva when Cat walked in.
"What did dad want Tony?" She asked, as she sat down across from them.
Looking up at her, he flashed a weak DiNozzo smile. "He said he wanted to spend Christmas with me. Which is weird because we haven't spent a Christmas together in years."
"Do you think he knows I'm here? That I have a son?"
"If he does, he's not acting like it," he replied, knowing that was the last thing that any of them needed.
Nodding her head, she quickly changed the subject. "Jenny really loved the portraits. She asked if I could do some candids of the party tonight."
"That is great Cat," Ziva said, knowing what the praise from Jenny had done for her confidence.
"It will be funny to get pictures of everyone decorating the tree," Tony laughed, knowing he had teased McGee about not knowing how to strand the lights.
Before she or Caterina could reply, a booming voice came from the foyer. "Ho! Ho! Ho!" Jackson Gibbs bellowed, coming into the house with a Santa hat on his head. He was immediately greeted with an Abby hug and a kiss on the cheek. Unbeknownst to her, the moment was captured on film.
"Yeah, I think these candid shots will be so much more fun than anything I've ever taken," Cat said, as she kept her camera out and ready to go.
