Royce slowly blinked his eyes open. He didn't recognize the room he was in and he knew it wasn't his office or his bedroom neither room was as stark white as the room he was in. He had all kinds of wires and tubes connected to several different parts of him including down his throat. He tried calling out for help but the tube going down his throat prevented him from doing just that. He began to freak out because of it and the more freaked out he became one of the machines beeping became faster and faster, not to mention louder.

"Mr. King I need you to calm down," The nurse said. "The tube is there to help you breath, do you understand. You will have to calm down so the tube can be taken out."

Slowly but surely the beeping of the machine had calmed down along with Royce's heart rate. The nurse checked his vitals to make sure he was okay before leaving the room. A few minutes later a doctor walked in and did the same thing.

"Now that we know you are doing okay we can get that tube out." the doctor said. "I want you to take a deep breath and then cough. Do you understand what I said?"

Royce nodded and gave the doctor a thumbs up.

"All right take a deep breath," The doctor said.

Royce did as the doctor asked.

"Now I need you to cough."

Royce coughed like the doctor wanted him to allowing the doctor to safely remove the tube from his throat. The doctor set it aside and checked to make sure that is throat was okay.

"So how does your throat feel?" he asked.

"It is a little scratchy but fine." Royce replied.

"What about pain?"

"There isn't any right now." Royce replied.

"Well then Mr. King everything seems to be in order. I'll come back before my shift is over and check in on you again. If you have any problems breathing, press the call button for the nurses' station."

"I got it." Royce said. "Has my wife been by at all? Can she come and see me?"

"I was not aware that you had a wife." The doctor said.

"I do, her name is Rosalie." Royce said. "I seem to have been here a while now. I thought she would have stopped by."

"Have you gone to see Royce yet?" Jasper asked.

"No I have not," Bella replied. "And I don't really plan to."

"Bella you really should go." Jasper said.

"No." Bella replied firmly.

"Bella there is a big reason why I think you should see him." Jasper replied.

"I haven't spoken to that man nicely since long before Rose went missing." Bella replied. "I don't plan on talking to him now."

"Bella the reason I think you need to see Royce is because he has no memory of the past ten years." Jasper said. "He thinks that Rosalie is still alive, and that they are still happily married."

"That doesn't mean I have to go and see him. I didn't like him when he and my sister were happy either." Bella said. "So try again and tell me why I should take time out of my busy day to go and see him."

"Please Bella," Jasper said. "For me."

Bella's phone went off.

"Sorry Jasper duty calls." Bella replied.

There was another building burning in the south side of Carlen. It wasn't a house or even high rise but an old run down Military warehouse that had long since gone unused since it was no longer owned by the government, abandon and only to be used as a tax shelter.

Victoria was in the small group of voyeurs watching it burn from behind the yellow police tape. She was pleased with the work her father had done. It wasn't often that he did a job himself but there was something about the warehouse job that called to him. She smiled and walked away. She and her dad only had a few more things to check of their list before they finally left town and never looking back.

After promising Jasper that she would go and at least see Royce the day before Bella came to the conclusion that it would be easier to just get it over with than it would be putting it off. She walked into the hospital just before noon. She stopped by the nurses' station to ask which room Royce had been place in. it wasn't that hard to find it. He was two doors down from them. It was one of the smaller rooms but they had to keep a close eye on him.

She paused for a little bit before walking into the room. The color scheme of the room was different than hers but overall it was basically the same room.

"Hello Royce," She greeted after knocking on the door frame.

"You look familiar to me but I can't place a name." Royce replied. "You kind of look a bit like my wife."

"I guess that's a good thing because she was my sister." Bella replied.

"I have not heard from her since before she left or that conference and she said she would call." Royce said.

"That was so long ago." Bella said.

"It was only three days ago."

"I guess I've been so busy I hadn't realized it's been that long since her last one."Bella said. "Maybe her phone died."

Bella's phone when off preventing Royce from replying.

"I am really sorry, I expected to stay longer but my boss is calling me in."

"That's fine you have work to do." Royce said. "Go on."

Bella was not sure why she felt slightly guilty leaving Royce. He may not have treated her sister right during their last few months of marriage but didn't deserve to be attacked the way he was at least she didn't think he deserved it. She wave goodbye and left.
