I groaned as my head throbbed. Trying to open my eyes only lead to my world spinning, and a lightheaded feeling sinking in to make me feel sick. I quickly closed them again, taking deep breaths as I tried to move my limbs hoping to change positions as I could feel the stiffness creeping on my aching joints. Only I could barely move. My heart started to hammer against my chest as I felt binds around my ankles and wrists, arms behind my back and my legs tucked up to my chests.

Opening my eyes a second time, and breathing a sigh of relief that the spinning had stopped, I began to look around when I came to realise my vision was still blurry, and the fog like feeling still clouded my mind.

Thinking straight was so hard, last thing I was sure of was that I was on the roof with Leo, he went to get a drink when those weirdoes appeared. I blinked away the blur as my mind cleared and panic sunk in. I looked around, breaths coming out short and shallow.

Those guys, they came out of nowhere, they covered my mouth and nose with a weird smelling rag, two holding my arms while the other pressed it under my nose. Then blank, nothing, I don't even remember closing my eyes.

A warehouse seemed but be my location, a well-used one by the look of it, from what I could see boxes were piled along each wall, hiding the exits from my view. The night sky was clear through the skylight windows on the roof and along the top of the building.

I thought I was alone, until I spotted figures lurking in the more shaded areas. There were so many, half watching me, the other half watching the windows and shadows, all with weird looking guns and dragon prints on their black outfits.

Now, usually in the movies there are two types of "damsel in distress", one cries, shakes like a leaf and begs to be let go, the second sits silently, defiantly refusing to talk and glaring at her captures. I wasn't either one of them cause frankly when you're put in that situation, you wise up. Crying and begging would be useless, especially as I didn't know why I was there in the first place, but aggravating my captures by staying silent and refusing to co-operate, or glaring at them was only gonna land me in more trouble.

So I just watched my surroundings, and focused on keeping my ragged breathing even and controlled, but my heart didn't calm down. I shifted a little, stretching my legs out, sighing in relief as the stiffness shifted slightly, the same could not be said for my tied up arms though.

I then began to wonder how long I'd been out. Oh god Fran is gonna have a cow if she finds out that I've left the club. I can just imagine her calling Linda and that nut-job calling up all the bigger powers and demanding they search for me. I thought, groaning and hanging my head, already feeling annoyed just from the thought.

What bugged me the most, was that I was bored. The men standing around weren't exactly doing anything important, no one tried talking to me, and there wasn't even a reason for my hands to be tied. What were they expecting? Me to try run away? With them all pointing guns at me? Like hell. I pouted mentally as I realised I'd turned into the second damsel with the glaring, but I at least understood why they looked to angry, because like me, they were bored of the bad guys crap.

Then a group of them broke their formations, moving boxes out of the way to reveal an elevator. My fear returned, this was the part in the show where the boss comes out. A big scary one that wasn't bothered by the gentleman's rule of not hitting a girl. I swallowed thickly as the doors began to open.

My eyes widened to about the size of saucers. The guy before me was about 5 times the size of any "big" villain I'd seen before, he was huge, with a golden pony tail, a red claw mark on his left cheek, and wearing an expensive looking suit. His shoulders were stiff and ridged, and I could just see green patches of skin above his collar. His footsteps were so heavy I could feel the ground vibrate slightly as he approached.

The man smirked down at me, looking smug. "Good work gentlemen." The 3 men who had grabbed me smiled proudly. "So, you're the kid who's been talking with those freaks." He spat, his deep voice rumbling.

My eyes narrowed. How does this walking talking mountain with bad smelling aftershave and poor fashion sense have the Gaul to call Leo and the guy's freaks? "And who are you supposed to be? Jaba the Huts human counterpart?" I shot back.

I half expected the guy to get angry, most would at been called a fat, green, slimy, slug like creatures human copy, instead he smiled wider, freaking me out. "I am Hun, leader of the Purple Dragons." Inwardly I flinched, I knew a little about the purple dragons from Katie, she'd warned me that they were a gang and to stay as far from them as possible. "Why don't you tell me where those mutants live so I can set you free?" Hun inquired, pulling up a metal chair to sit less than a foot from where I sat, towering over me.

I gave him a dull look of annoyance. "You expect me to betray my friends? Unfortunately for you, I have no clue, I only met Leonardo and the guys face to face tonight, so of course I don't know where he lives." I replied, meeting his gaze head on to show I was being serious.

I heard several of the men sniggering, muttering something about "freaks" and "turtles". I'm not usually the short tempered kind, but there was something about them insulting Leo and the guys that lit a fire in me. I had to bite my tongue to hold back my own comments.

Hun seemed unfazed by my honesty, or his men's talk, but pressed on for more details. "Maybe he gave you some hints in those long phone calls you shared with those mutants?"

"We mostly talked about me, what was going on with my work and college, friends. Never about where we both lived." Hun stood slowly and I shrunk nervously, feeling the hand of fear take hold of me once more. "Look if that's all you want to know then I'm no help so let me go already. I have friends and family waiting for me, no doubt they'll be searching-"

Hun smirked wider and I felt my spine shiver. "You've only been gone a couple of hours, and first person your friends will blame is Leonardo, isn't it?" I clenched my jaw at his words, realising how truthful they were. "Besides, you're still useful in other ways." He said, turning his back to me and heading towards where a group of his men had gathered, around a number of tall crates.

"What like a ransom? Hate to break it to you empty headed thugs, but no one I know has much money." I replied, putting on a fake smile as I watched the brute shrug off his jacket and take off his tie. As the large man rolled up his shirt, I saw more of the green patches on his arms.

Hun sniggered as he turned, revealing a gun about the same size as me. My eyes widened at the thing, struggling to hide my shaking as he approached with his thunderous steps. "Who said anything about a ransom? No, seen as you seem to be important enough to those freaks to keep in close contact with, you're the perfect bait."

I gulped. "Bait?" As I said the word, my heart started beating a mile an hour, my thoughts turning to those turtles I'd met just hours before. Leo, Mikey, Donnie, Raph, they would be slaughtered because of me.

My terrified, pale expression seemed to please the mob leader as his men all armed themselves even more than before as well, smirking wide before turning to an upper room, hidden before in the shadows, now lit by a spot light. "Ruffington, commence with phase two."

In the glass pane, I could see a shadowed figure, and a spot of brown hair. But I looked back to the muscle bound blond idiot and his men instead of the mystery man named "Ruffington", warily watching them as they all armed themselves heavily like they were expecting the army as their rivals. I felt terror grip me, they were going to use those guns on the guys, they were going to hurt my friends and Leo…Visions of the four turtles laying in front of me flashed in my mind, still and cold. It made me sick and my eyes water. I hung my head while I calmed myself down. It won't happen, Leo doesn't even know where I am. I told myself.

The spinning stopped and the ringing in my ears turned into an annoying chime. I frowned. Chime? I looked around until my eyes rested on one of the goons that grabbed me, pulling a cheap phone out of his pocket, smirking at the caller id then handing it over to his boss who also grinned, nodding to one of his men. "Two ton, keep her quiet while I talk with our guests." Was his command.

The man was as much of a beast as his boss, just not as tall, wearing chains like they were nothing. I gulped and flinched as he approached, freaking out as he placed a too firm hand over my mouth. I tried shaking my head, but he just help my upper arm tightly to keep me in place. Tears almost rolled before I bit my tongue again, breathing heavily through my nose, ignoring the mucky smell on the man's arms.

The answer button was pressed as Hun put the phone to his ear. "Took long enough for you freaks to call. You finally found the number we left in the girls phone, hu? And here I thought you'd be much faster." The blonde smirked. My eyes never left Hun's face as I watched his expressions, he lost his smile at one point and growled a little, then smirked. I wanted so badly to hear what they were saying, to hear their voices. I tried moving forward a little but the thug holding me back tightened his hands. Hun looked to me with a grin. "You want to hear from her? Sure I'll put Evie on." He stepped forward and held the phone towards me.

Faintly I could hear Leo calling my name through the speaker, asking if I was ok. Just the sound of his panicked voice made my eyes water enough to spill. The leader nodded for Two Ton to remove his hand and I gasped for proper air, looking up at the scarred man as he smirked. Now I usually obey rules and guidelines, though I loved fun and excitement, I was smart enough to know when I was crossing the line, but seeing Hun smirk at mine and Leonardo's discomfort just made me not care.

"Evie?!" Leo called louder.

Deep breath. "Guys don't come it's a trap!" I all but screamed, not caring that my voice broke midway or that I sounded so desperate and pleading. I just didn't want any of them to get hurt because of me, or give Hun the satisfaction of having the guys come.

Hun frowned, glaring down at me as I continually stared at the phone. There was silence for a moment, the seconds feeling like hours, before Leo spoke again. "I'm coming to get you." Then the line went dead.

I stared wide eyed. No. No he can't. Hun smirked triumphantly as he walked away, ordering his men to prepare. I hung my head. Why didn't he listen to me? The promise still rang in my head, my heart jumping slightly, happy that Leo cared enough to save me, but my mind told me it was hopeless. This isn't the movies, people don't survive when they're shot at…unless the bad guys have seriously bad aim. But by the way these guys were packing, they were clearly professional criminals.

Two Ton walked away to talk with some of his friends. "So those things are on the way hu?"

"Yeah, and we finally get ta kill'em off!" Another cheered.

"Masta Hun's got us the best Tec this time, there's no way those freaks are leaving here alive!"

"Sweet, I've been wanting to get back at those freaks of nature for so long!"

"I hear that! We'll peal 'em right outa those shells!"

"Nobody will miss those monsters!"

"Those monsters?" I glared at the floor, satisfied at hearing them shut up. My anger flared 3 times stronger than before. Where I'd struggled to stay quiet last time, I couldn't now with how horribly they were threatening the people who I cared for. I looked up at them, scanning over the crowd. "What do you thieves know about any of them?"

Most laughed, others just smirked, like Hun who stepped forward. "Those mutated mistakes shouldn't even exist, they've caused me enough trouble over the years and now it's time I pay them back. They deserve what's coming to them." He sneered, raising both his arms and his men cheered.

"Yeah you freak hugger!" One called, causing his friends to laugh.

"Betraying the human race for some weirdo turtles?"

"Those freaky monsters your little pals?"

I had never been as mad as that moment, I gritted my teeth as I glared at them. "Who are the real freaks here?! Leo and the guys who have only ever been kind, or you sorry excuses for the human race who steal, hurt the innocent, and kidnap a teen?! You're the real monsters!"

Hun barked out his laughter as he approached, picking me up by my feet to dangle me in the air. "If you love those freaks so much, then you can lay here with them when we torch this place, right after we're done with making those freaks pay."

Being hung upside down, I could feel blood rushing to my head, making me feel dizzy, but Huns words hurt like a knife, the images flashing through my mind. I looked up at his grey eyes, my anger still present, the danger sending adrenaline through me and making me bolder, which was probably why I said the next sentence loud enough for half of New York to hear.

"Leo's more of a man than you'll ever be!"

Silence followed before the big blonde growled like a wild animal and lifted my higher, manoeuvring me in his bear like hands so he was holding my throat tightly. My eyes widened in panic as the fear and adrenaline doubled, my body twisted and my legs kicked, but his grip only tightened. With my hands tied behind my back, I couldn't even try loosen his grip, and my legs were too short to kick him. My dizziness from blood rushing to my head worsened as my air supply was denied. Gasping did nothing to help instead only worsen my terror, my lungs began to burn and my eyes watered, tears falling as my gaze rose to the glass panels in the roof.

That's when I saw it, a shadowy figure. For only a second I was curious, before my need for oxygen brought me back down to stare in fright at the smiling Hun. All I heard was a high pitched ringing in my ears as my vision started to get black spots, I could feel my body ready to pass out already. But then he frowned and looked the other way, loosening his grip ever so slightly and as he did, allowing me a small ragged breath.

Next thing I knew I was thrown down against some crates, hitting the floor hard, with Hun standing in front of me as if possessively, his men crowding and making it impossible to see what was happening. My hearing was still suffering from the high pitched ringing, but there were other sounds, like the sound of rubble and a powerful car engine, then a motorbike engine following, inside the building from what I could tell. I frowned, wanting to get up to see, but I was still panting desperately, my body aching as oxygen was finally been fed back into my blood stream.

Then just to get more confusing, all the lights went out, and a weird fog started to filter in, seemingly coming from that glass control room where "Ruffington" had been before. The way Hun's shoulders tensed told me it wasn't part of his second phase, nor was he happy about the situation.

As things became near impossible to see, a voice rose above all the confusion. "Sorry ta ruin your little party, but I think your guest's is ready ta leave." Came a sarcastic, heavy Brooklyn accent.

"Taxi for a one Miss Richards." Called a usual soft voice, though the tone used this time was one of anger and determination.

My eyes widened. "Raph? Donnie?" I called out, struggling to sit up.

"Get them!" Hun ordered, his goons running forward.

"Look out below!" Came an equally familiar voice. I saw a flash of green and orange jumped from the top of a large, strange truck like machine, right on top of several Purple Dragons. Groaning, the smallest turtle stood and grinned, waving to me. "Hey Evie, thought I'd drop by." Mikey laughed as his own joke, making me smile despite myself. I watched as he them disappeared into the shadowy fog, only to reappear on the opposite side of the warehouse and taking out several more men with his ninja weapons. "That's for kidnapping my best friend!"

I watched as the three turtles took out almost all of the thugs, despite the heavy fire from the strange guns, each one skilfully moving with so much speed I could barely keep up, I couldn't even keep track of them as they used the darkness and mist to their advantage. I stared in wonder at all the strong kicks and powerful hits, it was 110 times better than any martial arts movie I'd ever seen. Hun wasn't as impressed though, as he growled once more, storming towards me to pick me up by the back of my neck, painfully gripping most of my hair, holding me up in front of the 3 turtles left standing.

"Drop your weapons or I finish the girl." He threatened, holding the massive gun to my head. I simply closed my eyes, fear making me shake. I wanted to tell them not to, to shake my head, to do something, but I was paralysed in fright as I realised that it was over.

Standing surrounded by fallen Purple Dragons, Raph, Don and Mikey looked at each other before dropping their sais, nun-chucks and bow staff. My heart sunk, I could practically feel Hun's sneer as he pressed the hole to my temple.

"What good little turtles you are." He cooed sarcastically, his hand on me gripping to the point I thought he was going to snap my neck.

But then I heard a very animalistic growl from above, and suddenly the gun was gone and metal hit the ground. I opened my eyes to see Leo with his katanas drawn, and the gun barrel cut into three at his feet as he crouched.

My eyes widened at how threatening Leonardo seemed, his eyes hooded, his form darker in the shadows, anger rolling off of him, a glare so fierce it chilled my blood, directed right at Hun. "Get off of her!" He growled, his fury clear in every word, then without warning, he jumped higher than Hun was tall, and gave the brute a swift kick to the jaw. The man began to fall backwards as he lost his grip on me, and I began to fall at about the same time, almost in slow motion. I flinched, bracing for impact with the floor, but it never came. Instead I felt strong arms holding me. "Evie?"

My eyes snapped open at the soft tone, and my gaze immediately met his white eyes. Suddenly, I was breathless again. I felt my eyes tingle, warning me that they were watering again as I managed a breathy smile. "Thanks for keeping your promise." I managed, shifting uncomfortably as my hands were still tied behind my back. "But you could have come a little earlier." I teased, managing a small grin.

"I needed a full proof plan to make the rescue was as quick and efficient as possible. I didn't want to take any risks with you." Leo smiled, setting me down and picking up one of his swords, cutting the rope like it was nothing on both my hands and ankles. "Besides," He looked to Hun with that cold glare again, making my blood run cold. "He has to pay for this."

"Well these punks won't be waking up any time soon at least, they've already paid their dues." Raph muttered, kicking one in the side.

Mikey pointed behind me and Leo. "Yeah, but our old pal Hun doesn't look ready to nap yet."

In the blink of an eyes, the 4 of them were in front of me as Hun pushed himself up, glaring at the 5 of us. I gulped, stepping closer to Leo to hide behind him. I had underestimated my friends before, I knew they were training in Ninjutsu but I had no idea they were THAT good. I now had a little more faith that we'd actually get out of here, or at least I was praying so.

I watched as Hun got back to his feel, standing tall to tower even over Raph as he clenched his fists. "Evie." I looked to Leo as he spoke softly. "Get into the battle shell and lock the doors."

Don looked over his shoulder to smile. "We'll handle him."

I paled. "But-"

"Evie," This time Mikey spoke up. "We can't concentrate when you could get hurt."

Though that comment gave me mixed feelings, I had to nod. "Be careful, the four of you."

Raph smirked. "We got this."

I turned and rushed to the big truck machine, figuring it was the "Battle Shell" as it was the only ride I could lock myself into. Shutting the door behind me with a soft slam, I began looking around for the lock button. Usually there was a button in the driver's seat but I couldn't make any of the out, they were all colour coded.

"Just my luck." I muttered, looking around lost. But the sound of fighting broke me away from that. I had to sit on the edge of the seat to be able to see out of the front window, my view was pretty good as the action carried on.

Again I was amazed as the guys flipped, kicked and punched like they were masters, though their efforts seemed to have small effects on the big brute of a gang leader even when several of their throws hit their mark. Hun would hold his arms up to block or lean away to make them miss, and he moved swiftly, with surprising speed for his large build.

Suddenly the blond switched his tactic from defensive to offensive, throwing a punch and kick left, sending Mikey and Don back a ways. He then sent a fist right, which hit Raph against his two braced forearms, making the largest turtle skip back, but the emerald green skinned teen didn't go down. Leo wasted no time, continuing furious attacks, striking powerfully but with precision and strategy.

Hun staggered back slightly, before charging forward, not holding back as he threw his fists and kicks left and right at the leaf green turtle, but Leo just ran jumped and flipped away with more speed and agility than a gymnast. Raph saw his opening and hit from the side, hard enough to send the blond flying a fair away to the side. Mikey and Don, who had rather quickly got back up, joined their brothers in a line like before, their weapons ready.

I watched with a slight shake as the gang boss picked up a set of guns from the unconscious bodies of his men, aiming at the guys. As the bullets flew through the air, Leo swirled his katana as his brothers ran and dodged, leaping and climbing the beams to get good cover, Leo following slowly. Hun smirked as he pressed on, running forward with his aim not wavering, using the guns to knock Leo's swords away then kick him in the chest. I gave a half scream half cry of surprise as he flew back and his shell hit the front of the truck.

Wide eyed I didn't hesitate to jump out of the truck. "Leo!" Slamming the door, I knelt beside him as he rubbed his chest plastron. Looking him over, I could tell from his expression he was in pain, but his determined eyes told me it wasn't serious.

He looked up at me. "I thought we told you to lock the doors?" I gave him a dull look.

"There's hundreds of buttons how the hell am I to know which one locks the doors?" I asked sarcastically. He smiled a little but then grabbed me and flipped, landing us on the roof of the truck as bullets hit.

"Hey Leo!" Mikey called, making us look up to see the orange bandana wearing teen with his older brother Don.

"We'll hold Evie up here." Don explained. A sudden battle cry made me look to Raph to see him dive from one of the beams as Hun began aiming at us, knocking the man away, hitting as they rolled. I squeaked again as Leo picked me up by the waist and help me up, only to have Mike and Donnie grab my wristed and pull me up. I watched as Leo rushed to help Raph, the two acting like a tag team to take on the tall blond, who seemed to be slowing down.

"Ok Evie," Mikey smirked, using the wrist he was still holding to swing me onto his back. "We're outa here!"

"Wait what about Leo and Raph?" I asked, panicking, not wanting to leave them with that brute of a man.

Don smiled. "I'm gonna go help them, Mikey will join me after he gets you a safe distance away."

My jaw dropped as I frowned. "But-"

Before I could utter another word, Mikey practically flew with me on his back, running along the narrow beam and jumping through the open window, not even stopping. He continued legging it, heading straight for the edge. My eyes widened tenfold in fright.

"Mike. Mike! Mikey stop!" I cried, but he only leapt, landing easily on the next roof, but he kept running. He only stopped when we were close to the water a few buildings away before setting me down on my own two feet. I looked up at him. "I can't see you guys from here, what if something happens? What do I do?" I asked worrying.

Mikey gave me a big grin. "Are you kidding? We've fought against Hun thousands of times and always won. We'll be right back, just wait here." And with that he was gone.

I stood stunned, looking around, settling for sitting down against the roofs railing, tucking my legs up to my chest to wait, and wrapping my arms around my legs to curl up tightly. Resting my head on my knees, I thought back over the past events, from Leo telling me the truth about him and his brothers, to the whole fiasco of being kidnapped. I was able to analyse everything, reflect on other peoples and my own reactions, and found two key moments that made me want to hit myself.

One was not kissing Leo again on the roof after he told me, and the second was not kissing Leo for saving me. I laughed at myself. Even after finding out that my crush was in fact a humanised turtle, I still loved him. The thought made me smile and shale my head.

"I'm crazy, I must be."

"I could have told ya that." With a little scream I jumped to my feet and stumbled back a little, only to sigh in annoyance and glare at the owner of the Brooklyn voice. Raph laughed as he jumped down from the ledge, smirking at me as his other brothers joined him.

My glare faded as I counted all 4, and I smiled, rushing forward to give Mikey and Don a joint hug, am arm around each of their necks. "You guys are ok! Thank god!"

I could feel Mikey's big grin. "All in a day's work for the Turtle Titan!"

Pulling away, I grinned, looking among them. "Thank you, you guys."

"Well thank you for sticking up for us back there." Don smiled, patting my shoulder tenderly.

I blushed and laughed nervously, rubbing the back of my head. "Oh, you guy's heard that?"

Raph smirked and pointed past me. "Leo had his shell cell on so we could hear what was going on, so we knew when to make our move." I looked over my shoulder to see Leo standing by the other side of the roof, staring ahead with his arms crossed, his back to us. Frowning, I looked to his brothers to see them smiling. "He's been pretty quiet since that thing you said to Hun."

My own words rang in my ears as I looked down, cheeks burning. I looked over at him again before sighing and smiling shyly at the other 3. "Guess I better go say something."

They nodded, grinning as I walked away, making me roll my eyes. My breathing became a little shaky as I got closer, and I found myself twisting my fingers. I'm fidgeting? I never fidget. Shaking my head slightly, I stood beside him and looked up.

Observing Leo closer now, I realised something was up. His shoulders were stiff and tense, he was frowning and there was something about his eyes. Worse yet, the atmosphere was so strange, like he was trying to build walls around his emotions or something, like he was distancing himself from me.

I put a hand on his arm. "Leo?" He didn't look at me, he didn't even blink. The gap was going bigger, making me uneasy.

Finally, he turned towards me. "I'm sorry." He said, so sincerely, so openly, it was clear from his expression alone he meant it.

I smiled. "Its ok-" I shook my head, but Leo shook his head as well.

"No, no it's not." Le looked right at me, looking almost angry. "This happened to you because of me." I frowned, opening my mouth, but he spoke before I could. "It won't happen again." He promised. There was something about the way he said it that made my heart hurt, it confirmed my suspicions.

I looked up at the sky, then him with a dull look. "Please tell me that you're not thinking what I think you're thinking Leo." I saw his jaw clench as he swallowed, but I continued. "You think disappearing from me will stop them trying again?" I gave him a breathless laugh and turned to face him as well. "That's stupid Leo, and you know it."

"They associate you with us now Evie." Leo said sternly.

I smiled. "Exactly, and now that they know you guys will go out of your way to save me, they're going to try again wither your around or not." I reasoned. Leo watched me for a moment before he sighed and hung his head. Smiling weakly, I took his hands. "Leo…" I waited for him to look up at me before I continued, taking the opportunity to take a deep breath. "Look, I meant what I said back there." I smirked a little as it sparked something in his eyes.

But he turned serious again almost immediately. "Knowing us isn't easy you know, ask April and Casey." Leo muttered.

I shrugged. "Well, you protect me from the bad guys, and I'll worry about the rest." I teased winking, but I didn't get a smile like I expected, he just hung his head. The barriers were still up, there was distance, a kind of awkwardness. I frowned, biting my lip as I hung my head, an idea springing to mind. I looked up, my throat thick. "Um…back at the club…you gave me time to think things over, about…you…and the guys. That time was…kinda interrupted." I laughed breathlessly, looking away. "And then when I saw Hun and those weirdo's getting ready to kill you and your brothers…I thought about what might have happened to you and I suddenly couldn't breathe…then you said you were coming for me…" I trailed off, realising that I was rushing my words. Taking a deep breath, I tried is. "And just now…I was thinking everything over and I realised something." I looked up at him smiling. "I realised that you been a turtle didn't matter, it didn't change anything."

Leo watched me, his eyes analysing my expression and words, understanding their truth. "Really?"

I nodded, swallowing. "When I asked you to come to the club…I wanted to tell you something… And finding out that this is the real you…well, I still have that something to say." I with a scared smile, I wrapped my arms around his neck, going up on my tip toes and straining so I was close as possible to his ear area before whispering. I'd done some research before coming out that evening, so I could say what I wanted to say in the best way Leo would understand. "Sukida." I felt and heard a gasp, his shoulders bunching up. Nervously, I pulled away, grinning to hide the sudden fearful uneasiness I felt. "But it's ok if you want just want to be friends…just don't say you're going to go away and not see or talk to me, or even think it. Cause you're my friend Leo and I don't want to lose that-"

My eyes widened as I suddenly couldn't talk anymore, and gentle hands held my upper arms, and all I could see was a blue mask. It took a moment before it really registered. Leo is… My eyes widened in surprise, but slowly slid shut as pressure was added, a hand so tender against the back of my neck to lightly pull me in. The move felt faintly familiar and it made me smile a little as he pulled away slowly. "You learn quickly." I laughed breathlessly.

There was the faintest hint of a smirk on his lips as he smiled happily. "Years of training." His gaze turned serious but his smile remained as his hand on my neck gently ran through my hair. "For 19 years, I thought…it would be impossible for me to find someone to be with. But Evie, you always surprised me. You're honestly, kindness, your eccentric side," That part made me laugh awkwardly, making him smile wider. "I love it all Evie." I looked up at him, wide eyed. He smiled as his hand on my arm wrapped itself around my waist carefully, his other arm joining so we were standing close enough to feel each other's breaths, making me blush. And though there was only a street light to go by, I could just make out that Leo's own cheeks were dark as well. "Sukida." He repeated, Japanese for "I love you".

I grinned, wrapping my arms around his neck again. "I love you too Leo." I pecked his cheek quickly before pulling away with a serious expression. "You know this makes it official right? That we're together."

Leo rolled his eyes. "I get the general idea of how relationships go Evie, I do watch a little TV. It's just…going to take some time for me to get used to it." I smirked.

"I'll teach you." Giving him a wink, I looked over at the grinning 3 brothers who were all looking triumphant. "And you 3, no teasing, no pranking, and no bugging." I warned, looking mostly at Raph and Mikey. The 4 laughed with me, the 3 moving forward. Raph ruffled my hair, Mikey spun me again, and Don gave me a shy hug before Leo wrapped an arm around my shoulder then dipped to suddenly pick me up.

"Well we better get going." He said, starting walking.

I frowned. "Where are we going?"

The 4 looked at each other before giving me nervous and worried smiled, making me suddenly very nervous. "We're taking you tour place, there's someone you need to meet and we need to speak to." Tilting my head a little in curiously, Leo continued with a hushed tone. "Our father, Master Splinter."

I'm going to meet Leo's father. I'm going to meet the man who raised my 4 friends. We've just confirmed we're going to be a couple, and Leo is taking me to meet his father… Why the hell am I letting him take me to meet his father? I was suddenly anxious, meeting the mutated rat that my new boyfriend and his brothers called a father…kinda a big deal. But it didn't seem like I really have a chance to object as Leo leapt of the side of the building with me still in his arms.

My boyfriends a giant, mutated, teen, butt-kicking ninja turtle. My new life in New York give got a LOT more interesting.
