Author's Note: And here we have the first of the follow-ups, which coincidentally involves the first girl of the story. I love Starfire, I love her energetic and upbeat nature. She's a very positive character and I find her innocence to be an extremely attractive quality, it's a shame what the New 52 has done to her. So, I was surprised when I saw how many people voted in my poll and I was honestly surprised that Starfire took the majority of the votes. But she is a well-loved character and fun to write, thanks to everyone that voted.
On another note, has anyone heard about the Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game announcement? The teaser was short but I'm already stoked, hopefully Beenox has built on what worked in ASM. I've heard that they've expanded New York and even including the Daily Bugle building! Hooray! What do you guys think of the news? I'm eager to know, so let me know in the reviews!
Disclaimer: Any and all Marvel characters belong to Marvel and in turn Disney, I do not own them or have anything to do with them in any way. The same can be said for the DC side of the spectrum, any and all DC characters are owned by DC. I make absolutely no profit from this, it's just a bit of fun.
Koriand'r/Starfire Part II
It had been roughly two full weeks since the Tamaranian alien, known as Koriand'r came crashing down to Earth. As luck would have had it, the young Princess' first form of human contact was none other than the Amazing Spider-Man. So what did he do about it? Report it to S.H.I.E.L.D? Inform the Avengers? Drop Superman a line? Oh, who was he kidding? Superman wouldn't even take his calls.
Spider-Man didn't do any of those things and instead invited the girl to stay at his apartment for a while, just until the two of them could figure things out. Well actually, Kori was too busy marvelling at what Earth had to offer while Peter was figuring things out.
It had been extremely difficult for him to teach her to walk to places instead of flying; he didn't need his secret identity being exposed after all. But then again, even when he dressed her up like a normal human girl and took her out for some lunch, people stared. Namely men, even the occasional woman every now and then too. His family and friends were beginning to ask questions too and it worried Peter, he was concerned about his secret and the fact that he may have been harbouring an illegal alien in his apartment but he didn't want to get rid of her.
Actually, the boy was starting to grow fond of her. He could make her laugh without fail and she repaid the favour by cheering him up after a hard day's patrol, which was nice. Actually, she had begun to accompany him on patrols under the superhero identity, Starfire. The name surprisingly wasn't hard to come up with, but fit her perfectly. Peter used his mutant friend, Firestar as reference and just reversed the name, it probably wasn't his most genius plan ever but Kori seemed to like it.
He had obviously shown her his face during her time living with him; he couldn't have just worn his mask every time he was around her. That just wasn't practical, was it? But there was something else besides possibly being arrested that had Peter worried, what would his aunt think?
Luckily, his Aunt May had been out of town when Peter first stumbled upon Kori. But now that she was back, it opened up a lot of terrible possibilities and she was visiting him in the afternoon. The ESU student had scrambled about his apartment, hiding any trace of his Spider-Man life including Kori's own superhero costume. Which he would've loved to be a little less revealing, especially when they went out and fought crime.
"I do not understand, friend Peter. Why must I wear this restrictive piece of clothing?" Kori questioned whilst pulling at her large, thick sweater.
Peter ran past her with a manic look on his face as he triple checked that he had taken care of everything. "Because… I don't want you giving my aunt a heart attack," he more or less joked.
Seeing that everything was in order, he came back to the living room and stopped in front of Kori, he once more double checked to see that she was presentable and sighed in relief.
Kori however, frowned. "Are you sure this is not because you are ashamed of me?" She inquired, placing her hands on her wide hips.
Peter shook his head and threw his arms up in defence. "What?! No, it's just—my aunt… she's old fashioned. She's been trying to set me up with this girl for months and to be honest I'd rather be left alone for now," he explained whilst running his hand through his thick brunette hair.
Kori looked inquisitive for the moment. "Am I not your girlfriend? I am a girl who is your friend; does that not make us partners?" She posed as Peter cocked an eyebrow in confusion.
"It doesn't really work like that, you are a girl and you are my friend but we're not… partners for lack of a better word… at least not to my knowledge." He tried to explain.
Kori threw her arms around his neck. "But we are living together! Back on Tamaran, when a man and a woman are living together, it means that they are bound for life." She justified, making Peter literally sweat.
He stumbled over his words as Kori pressed herself into his chest. "And—uh—are we… you know—bound for life yet?" Peter asked, not quite ready for the answer.
He felt his breath hitch in his throat when Kori shook her head full of flaming red hair. "In order to be bound, we must first consummate the tradition. Would you like to? It would be most joyful; at least that was what I heard back on my home planet." Peter didn't miss the alien blush and couldn't help but swallow hard.
"I—I'm not really sure—this is the right time for that, Kori." He stated, desperately trying to remove her grip from his neck but to no avail.
Peter also noticed the girl frown. "Then we can consummate after your aunt has left? It would only be fair for me to repay you for your gratitude," a flutter of the eyelashes and he was having a hard time saying no.
He shook his head. "You don't have to repay me, Kori. Listen, this arrangement we have going on here is permanent if you want it to be. I can't imagine how scared you must feel on a foreign planet all on your own but trust me; you don't have to convince me to let you stay. I like having you here," the ESU student told her truthfully.
Kori smiled sweetly and relinquished her grip. "I thought I could not stay here anymore, I did not wish to be a burden to you." And then it all became clear why she had been trying to consummate with him.
She didn't want to leave…
"You're not a burden, I enjoy the company. It can get pretty lonely here but there will be some complications, we'll just have to work through them together. You are worth it, after all." Peter complimented, wearing a shy lopsided smile.
And once again, the otherworldly being took the breath out of his lungs as she stole a deep kiss from him. But as Peter was lost in the sensational exchange of passion, he failed to hear the front door to his apartment creak open with a caring voice calling out his name.
"Good heavens!" Aunt May exclaimed as she held her face in her hands, clearly out of pure shock.
Peter, her dear sweet nephew, had the leg of a drop dead gorgeous girl wrapped around his waist all the while locking lips with said beauty.
Kori paused for a moment, locking her green eyes on the frail figure. "Hello, Peter's aunt! It is a pleasure to meet you, but please wait a moment as I am not finished with your nephew yet." She informed May before resuming her steamy session with Peter.
The boy used all of his strength and halted the kiss, stopping for breath. "Oh jeez! Aunt May! It's not what it looks like!" He desperately tried to explain, only to watch in horror as his guardian fainted.
He stood there, rooted to the spot for a split second. "Yeah... that could've gone better," Peter muttered before he leaped into action.
He tried to coax his poor old aunt out of her stupor while a giddy Starfire looked on, none the wiser with a wide glistening grin.
Author's Note: I hope this was well received, I actually wrote this one a while ago and had to go back and correct some mistakes. So the feedback for last chapter was mostly positive, which is a good thing. I'll work on what I got wrong and try harder next time, you have my word.
So, who would you guys like to see next? Remember, the next chapter has to be Marvel woman and then another DC and so on. There has to be some order to chaos, but apart from that, it can anyone you want. So it doesn't have to be in order, the Scarlet Witch doesn't have to be next. Thanks for stopping to read my story, it means a great deal to me.
Reviews:
Dragonskyt: She's a very proud woman but even she has her limits, and you got me. I'm afraid I don't know that quote, maybe something to do with Electro? Other than that, you have swindled me sir!
aspiringactor: Well, to each his own. Nothing's perfect but I actually felt that there was something missing also, thanks for the compliments though. And that pun was pretty bad... I love bad puns!
Bigby the Big Bad Wolf: I'm sure Spidey meant nothing by it, just a harmless joke. And yeah, the follow-ups have officially begun. Have a suggestion? If so, I'd be happy to hear it!
NeoTyson: Well, you win some, you lose some. It's okay though, just let's me know what I can work on in the future. Thanks for the feedback, much obliged kind sir!
Coppa-Cola: Well, I'm glad somebody does! Kidding, I think I just missed out on something with the chapter. I'll be sure to work on it but I'm glad you liked it, means a lot :)
Mercwiththemouth: I actually wanted to go for some semblance of realism, which is hard when you're writing about extraordinary characters. I didn't want to write anything too over the top and gave Spidey most of the dialogue because he was, like you said, trying to distract and comfort Storm. Real people that suffer with claustrophobia suffer from shortness of breath, tight chest pains, even going so far as to have panic attacks. Storm didn't talk once because she felt that couldn't, many people who suffer from claustrophobia aren't afraid of the confined space but what could happen to them in the confined space. For instance, suffocation. A lot of people with the disorder actually feel that if they removed their clothes it will ease the symptoms. It's no laughing matter and Spidey understood that but there was no real danger present, aside from the tunnel caving in. Thanks for the review.
Deus-Sigma (you know who you are!): Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated. I have plans for Hope Summers and I'll take your advice, with the kind of diary point of view thing. And that Phantom Girl suggestion sounds interesting, I just took a quick look at her on the DC Wiki and I like the character. I also like the idea of Spidey being sent to the future, Marvel or DC. It would be cool to see what kind of legacy he left behind, maybe he could run into a future version of himself that isn't 2099 and much cooler than 2211. Oh man, I'd actually love to write about that. But the Legion of Superheroes history is... well, it's confusing. Let's just leave it at that, maybe I could simplify it and throw in some Marvel characters for the sake of this story? I don't know, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Thanks for the ideas though!
Wiggles-n-Stuff: Hey, Wiggles! I'm thrilled you enjoyed the chapter, thanks for the words of wisdom. I actually like how the chapter came out, like you said, a sort of diamond in the rough. As for your suggestions, Huntress will appear at some point and also Oracle. And I was interested to see this Satana, after a little research I found out that she's Satan's (at least one of the more powerful demon's who claims that he's Satan) daughter. I was surprised to find out that she's actually good, Satan's daughter? Really? I'm not familiar with the character but Satan's daughter, that sounds so tempting. I'll see what I can do, looking forward to the next chapter of Pam, Pete and Harley. Take your time, it'll be epic!
Ben10 Madness: No problem, and I'm glad you think so! Thanks for the review!
TheSkyKing: Thanks for the suggestions, if I get enough votes for either Supergirl or Storm then they'll be next. If not, just be patient and I'll get to them eventually.
MASTER-OF-SURPRISE: I've been thinking about a Firestar chapter for a while now and it's definitely doable, I'll get to it and post it after I've finished the first batch of follow-ups. Thanks for the review!
Batros940: Thank you very much, she wasn't too happy with the man in the quilted costume. Hawkgirl and Jean Grey will be up after the first wave of follow-ups, it's DCAU Hawkgirl, I hope that's okay.
A-BOMLIKEABOSS: It's no problem, what sort of writer would I be if I didn't respond to reviews? As for Death is Only the Beginning, I won't be getting back to that for quite some time and even if I do, I might just completely overhaul the thing and start fresh. There's a lot of things I look back on and think 'why the hell did you think that was a good idea?'. I'm not happy with the way that story turned out and that's why I finished it so suddenly, I might just continue from where I left off but I doubt that'd be the way to go.
Lethum: Thanks for the heads up, I switched it as soon as I read your review. Here's Starfire's chapter by the way, hope you got a kick out of it. Ta ta for now!
tylerbamafan34: Thanks for the praise, I'm happy you're enjoying the story. I try to fit in a diverse mix of romance, friendship and other stuff. Makes it a little more fresh with each new chapter, with the Wonder Woman chapter, I wanted to get that exact message across. Because even though it's the same thing over and over again, the whole 'great power and responsibility' bit, it completely defined Spider-Man's entire life and he doesn't take it for granted. I accept ideas with open arms and I'm loving yours, anything to get readers involved. Some of these chapters have stemmed from other readers' ideas so don't be shy, the Lois Lane one was great and I'll be sure to give it a shot. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
D4rkMiz3r: Well, I don't want to bore you guys with the same situation over and over again. Thanks for the compliment man, and I'll also end this with two words: no problem!
The Raggle Fraggle: Oh man, I love Key and Peele! Just finished watching a few of their sketches, hilarious stuff. And Ororo is a very strong and proud woman and has worked hard in combating her claustrophobia but even then, the fear can become so crippling it can reduce her to a crying mess. It's a natural reaction to your worst fear, I think one of my more prominent fears is open water. I wouldn't be able to go scuba diving or swimming out in the ocean for fear of the unknown beneath the blue waves. And I'll take your Raven vote, I'd love to write a follow-up for the character. And at some point, I will do all of the X-women. The main ones, anyway. And Rose Wilson is actually on my list, I'll write a chapter and post it after the first batch of follow-ups. Thanks for the review!
Manuel: It's fine dude, review any time you want. It's great to hear from you regardless, and I'm humbled by your comments. I have to say though, I've never heard of Shiva or Lethal Lady. Would you mind elaborating a little bit about their characters?
Thanks for the continued support, the reviews and favs and follows, it's really amazing!
