TITLE: Developments
GENRE: Mystery/Suspense/AU (slightly)
TIME: Between the first (Dual) and second (Daycare) story of volume #5.
MAIN CHARACTERS: Leon, D, T-Chan, Q-Chan, and Ten-Chan
SUMMARY: Murder victims are showing signs that a serial killer is in the city. The victims have three days to live from the time they're abducted by their killer. This turns the case into a race against time, because there could be a chance that a life may be hanging by a thread—right now. If that weren't bad enough, Leon's instincts are sending him and sending him messages that are driving him to a point he may not be able to handle (by himself). A lot of new things are about the 'dear detective' come to light to a special few…
T'Chan looked around the kitchen, as though he had the ability to see through the refrigerator and cupboard doors to take a quick inventory.
With an almost military skill, he assessed what was in the house food stores and what he had time to make, then swiftly started gathering his ammunition.
Slipping into the kitchen behind him, Ten'Chan tilted his head in amused interest, moving to prop himself against a wall with an elbow. "I wouldn't do that, if I were you, "he warned T'Chan pleasantly.
T'Chan turned to look at him with dubious curiosity. "Why not?"
"Because, you'll end up staying longer after he wakes up—for however long it takes him to finish eating,"Ten'Chan told him with mischievous glee.
T'Chan shut his eyes in realization and let his head drop forward with mournful groan.
Ten'Chan chuckled softly for a moment, before sliding up, almost right against T'Chan, and grinned smugly. "Picnic," he murmured the word seductively into the totetu's ear.
T'Chan's head snapped back up, and his face was filled with the awe of one who had suddenly been stuck with the total comprehension of the workings of the universe. "A picnic—YES!" T'Chan thrust a saucepan he'd been holding into the air above him in a crow of triumph.
Ten'Chan eyed his housemate ecstatically and indulged in a long, quiet snickering fit, even when he found himself being given an unmistakable 'Glare Of Death'.
A/N:
My dear readers/followers,
I'm very sorry for taking ten years to pick up on this story. I'm also sorry this chapter was so short, and may add to it later.
A lot has happened.
It was either a short chapter, or I might never pick up on this story at all.
So, now that I've posted this bit, I feel more motivated and inspired to continue.
Thank you for keeping this story in your minds and hearts.
