Our kids go to the same school sequel.

"C'mon mummy! Hurry up!" Geoffrey shouted into his mother's bedroom. Lucy had been in there for the past hour whilst she got ready and he sat on the sofa watching TV, "they'll be here in a bit!"

"Ok bossy," Lucy replied as she opened her door and stepped out, "how do I look?" She gave a twirl to her seven year old son who beamed up at her.

"Like a princess," he answered as Lucy giggled as she kneeled down to be face to face with him.

"And you look like a prince," Lucy complimented back as she straightened his shirt before spiking his flat hair. That was better.

Lee and Sophie were coming over for dinner after. It was hard to pick somewhere for their date because of Geoffrey and Sophie. So, one evening whilst Lucy was on the phone to him Geoffrey had jumped up onto the sofa beside her and taken the phone off of Lucy, telling Lee that he could come over for dinner, games and a movie. Lee had chuckled down the phone when Lucy was back on the line and said it sounded great. That's how she found herself cooking dinner earlier that day.

Standing back up Lucy followed her son out into the living room and sat down on the sofa, dinner was done and the table set. Watching as Geoffrey cuddled into her side she kissed the top of his head as he pressed play on the remote. Lucy knew Geoffrey had been the one to set them up but she had to know. Had to know if he was ok with this.

"Geoffrey, sweetheart?"

"Yes mummy?" He questioned as he kept his eyes trained on the TV screen.

"You are ok with this, aren't you?" Lucy questioned as she ran her hand through his hair.

"With what?"

"Well...if things go well...are you ok with me possibly going out with Lee?" She asked slightly nervously. Lucy knew she was getting ahead of herself but there was always the possibility and before anything, anything at all happened she needed to know that her son was alright with this.

Looking up at his mother, slightly bemused he nodded his head,"yeah. Otherwise me and Soph wouldn't be helping."

Nodding her head Lucy sighed, her son could be so grown up and independent at times and it frightened her. The main reason she guessed was because he hadn't had two parents. Geoffrey definitely wasn't planned. Regretfully it had been a one night stand when she was 23. Lucy didn't regret having Geoffrey, how could she? But what she did regret was not asking for that random bloke's number but at least she knew his first name; Jack.

"I love you."

"Love you too."

"How do I look?" Lee asked for the millionth time that night in the cab as Sophie huffed.

"Daddy..." She warned with her arms crossed over her chest as Lee sighed.

"I know. I'm sorry," he replied as his fingers made their way to his hair for the hundredth time before straightening his shirt. He was nervous. No doubt about it.

"I told mummy you had a date tonight," Sophie began as Lee's eyes widened.

"What did she say?" Lee questioned nervously as Sophie looked up at him.

Lee and Sophie's mother didn't necessarily not get on they would just rather live separate lives. And he was in no way hateful...nope not all. Assuming the bitch couldn't have Sophie more than once every three weeks. She basically didn't see her mother and in a way Lee was glad. He got to spend more time with his little girl. But he knew when she got older and... And things happen, she'll need a mother figure and someone to talk to.

"Just who'd want to go out with him?" She mocked as Lee chuckled," I like Lucy."

"I like Lucy too," Lee repeated as they stopped outside Lucy's flat, "ready?"

"Are you?" Sophie cheekily replied as Lee rolled his eyes. She was too much like him for her own good.

"No."

NGONGONGO

The knock on the door startled both Geoffrey and Lucy. Taking a deep breath Lucy tidied her hair up and straightened her black dress before going to the door. Opening it Lucy smiled as she saw Lee stood opposite her, a bottle of wine and flowers in one hand and Sophie holding his other hand.

That soon changed as Geoffrey grabbed Sophie's hand and pulled her into the flat to show her his bedroom. Shuffling nervously on his feet Lee handed Lucy the flowers and wine as she stepped aside to let him in.

"You look...nice," Lee managed to stutter out. He wasn't good with compliments and Lucy guessed as much.

"Thanks. You look good too," Lucy replied as Lee entered the flat. Lucy took his coat off of him and placed it on the coat rack.

They nervously talked through a glass of wine and then relaxed in each other's company. Then Sophie and Geoffrey had come running out of the bedroom for dinner and Lucy chuckled as she and Lee plated up after he had insisted. Dinner had been full of embarrassing stories from the kids and laughter. Once the plates had been cleared away Lee followed her into the kitchen.

"Can I help?" He questioned as he eyed the dishes. He wasn't a fan of any house work. If he could get away with it, he would but he couldn't.

"I'll do it tomorrow." Lucy shrugged off as Lee nodded. Phew.

"Mummy can we watch a movie?" Geoffrey questioned as he came running into the kitchen.

Sending a questioning glance at Lee he nodded his head as she replied. Running away from his mother Geoffrey and Sophie trolled the DVD's and decided on one they wanted to watch just as Lee and Lucy entered with a glass of wine each. As Lucy sat down Lee sat next to her, the children sitting crossed legged in front of them as the movie played.

"Sleeping Beauty?" Lucy questioned as she peered down at her sons head who had turned around slightly to face her.

"Yeah."

Not much else was said on the choice of film as it played. Soon Geoffrey and Sophie had their backs relaxing against the sofa and Lucy's legs were on the sofa as her head lulled against Lee's shoulder, already asleep. Lee let her sleep, it was cute. When the movie had finished the children had turned back around and giggled at the sight they saw, with Lucy sleeping. They both turned towards each other and grinned, their little 7 year old minds coming up with a plan.

"Daddy you're going to have to wake Sleeping Beauty up?" Sophie began as Geoffrey and her giggled behind their hands. Unknowingly to them Lucy had awoken but she pretended to sleep.

"And how am I supposed to do that?" Lee questioned as he peered at the pair suspiciously. What were they up to? And that's when the penny dropped and his suspicions were confirmed when Geoffrey spoke next.

"Like in the movie. You'll have to give mummy a kiss," he grinned as Lee sighed and Lucy's heart beat quickened.

"What if she doesn't want me to kiss her?" He asked the two seven year olds as he watched his daughter put on her thinking face but by Geoffrey's expression he already had an answer.

"She does. We were speaking 'bout it earlier."

Lee's eyes widened slightly at that before softening. Maybe he was just making it up to get him to kiss her. But Lee knew he wouldn't be able to get out of it. The children would always find a way. Then he felt Lucy shift ever so slightly and he knew she was awake.

"I'm not going to get out of this am I?" He questioned as Geoffrey and Sophie shook their heads. Managing to shift so his face was facing her he bent down and whispered in her ear," I know you're awake, Miss Adams. You're ok with this, are you?"

"Yeah." he heard her whisper back as her eyes shut again and his lips moved away from her ear to hover above her.

Moving his eyes slightly to look at the children who were giggling behind their hands he rolled his eyes inwardly before closing them. Taking a nervous breath he let his lips touch hers in a chaste kiss, Lucy responding.

When they pulled apart Sophie and Geoffrey were clapping as Lucy blushed slightly, before shifting to sit more comfortably.

"Mummy can Sophie stay over?" Geoffrey questioned as Lucy cast a glance towards Lee. It was up to him.

"Depends if Lee lets her, love." Lucy replied as Lee nodded his head asking if it was alright with Lucy the same time.

Soon Geoffrey and Sophie were tucked up in bed, top to tail, asleep. Sighing as they both left the bedroom Lucy and Lee sat back down on the sofa, deciding that they would have some time to themselves on this date.

"You don't have to have her tonight." Lee began as they got comfortable.

"It keeps Geoffrey happy," Lucy smiled as she looked down at her wine glass, suddenly getting nervous,"you...never mind."

"No. Go on." Lee urged as she shifted a bit in her seat.

Was she honestly going to ask this? Only after their first date as well? It's not as if they only just got to know each other. They'd seen each other every day whilst picking the children up and they'd spoken on the phone every night.

"You could...stay as well. If you want." Lucy rushed out as she gazed down at her lap. God why did she say that?

That was a bit of a shock to him. It's not as if he didn't want to, he just never thought he would so quickly, "if you're ok with it?" Please say yes, please say yes!

"I wouldn't have asked if I wasn't ok with It." she replied, finally looking him in the eye.

"Ok." Lee whispered as he placed the wine glasses on the coffee table before framing her face and kissing her, their hands grasping at each other.

They wouldn't normally do this on the first date but it felt right.
