As Michael started to look around he found that his wrist was handcuffed to the rail of the hospital bed that he had been laid on after being picked up off the floor he muttered then yelled almost as if he was possessed
"Oh you son of a bitch this fucking sucks because I doubt I will be able to leave soon and if the clusterfuck will resolve itself and I really want to get out to take flight with the others for training" and he just muttered laying there expecting it to be awhile. Sure enough he was right and he looked up and saw that Freddy walked in and laughed before saying, wearing the garb of an assassin warrior
"You have broken the laws of our brotherhood-" and Michael snapped
"I know, I know stay my blade from the flesh of an innocent" and Freddy slugged him and snapped out
"Stay your tongue unless I give you leave to use it" before laughing. Seeing Michael smiling Lexi walked in with a picture of Lynette Bishop and Yoshika Miyafuji and Freddy whistled saying
"Damn your grandmother looks good" and Michael was lightly shoved before hearing Lexi say
"Your grandmother Shirley didn't look to bad either boy" and he just blushed and then grabbed a drink muttering
"And I know where you get your good looks from so baby someday I will ask you to marry me and we can make our love official" and he wandered off as Lexi blushed the color of a tomato and stammered running to Gabriella
"I…. I…. I….. I have some good news for you" and she was so happy that she was bouncing around getting Gabriella to force her to sit down and said
"Well tell me what the good news is and send in the Lieutenant Commander but don't worry I will make sure you get him back in a reasonable time" and Lexi just laughed before she went out and found her boyfriend chained up in the hospital and as she undid the cuffs she heard a voice say
"Ma'am you need to let him stay where he is because the boy could be a threat to himself or anyone else" and Lexi snapped out
"Yeah well the commander requested him, by fucking name so you can feel free and tell her the truth as to why the boy she wanted to help her is still in chains and not helping with the paperwork so your call" and right as she said that Michaels hand shot free from the cuff and he said annoyed as all hell which was understandable given the situation he found himself in,
"Yeah so you mind unhooking my arms because I need to get dressed and go to work, which while paperwork doesn't seem fun it sure as fuck beats laying around here all day" and as they discovered that Gabrielle was indeed waiting for the boy and she muttered, a longing glance at the clock proving her distaste at being kept waiting
"Well boy it took you long enough because this whole damn paperwork issue has driven me to the point that I wouldn't mind a drink" and Brittany stood in the door after hearing that and said slyly
"Well if you want I can help with that even though my Grandma may not approve but what the hell you only get to live it up once" but as she turned around she fell to the ground and started to vomit, either from food poisoning or alcohol poisoning with the Katter strongly suspected by Gabriella, which Michael didn't see until he tripped and fell cracking his head open splattering blood on the floor.
As he started to black out again Lexi grabbed his hand and said to the rest of the group lightening their spirits
"Well you guys maybe he is talking to a girl from the past. You know like the twilight zone or some bullshit" and then chuckled as the others heard the air raid siren go off and the call from the speakers that Freddy had hacked
"LEEEEERRRRROOOOYYYYY JEEEEENNNNNKKKIIIINNNNSSSS!" and everyone went stunned as he yelled out "Not the time to stand around and I will explain what that was from later and leave Lexi" and Hannah blew a kiss to the girl and her lover who were being rushed to the hospital with a shortened method being a striker and a jacket used as a tarp in case he needed to be buried but they hoped it didn't come to that. Rushing off using the strikers Lexi made sure that the love of her life was going to make it she hollered out to the nurse
"Let me know when I return if there is any change because I have to go help my friends finish the job they have to deal with" and Lexi jumped into her trusty Jaguar and grabbed the 20mm cannon and ammo boxes before redlining the engines skyward. Instead of calling out her presence she made it known by finding the bogie on Hannah's tail and as she listened to the frantic calls from the Galians to shake her tail, Lexi slowly exhaled and tightened around the trigger for a short burst and smiled as the Nueroi on Hannah's tail turned to dust and the one round that missed went wide of her comrade. Swinging around Hannah flashed the thumbs up yelling to be heard over the roar of the engines and the wind
"Glad you can join us and does that mean that he is just fine?" and Lexi gave a shrug before they finished sweeping the skies to return home. As Michael had been set in the hospital bed he kept drifting in and out of consciousness and he saw a girl in liberion air force fatigues but the units she had were unusual. As he got a good look he saw that they resembled the SR-71 if it had a baby with the F15 eagle he muttered as he wondered more about them hoping it was quiet
"That is a weird striker unit and the insignia is really weird but maybe someday I will find out about it" and he glanced over and saw that she was looking at him and then glanced away before he muttered
"Well the game she is playing with me I would find out what game she is playing and see if I can get her to tip her hand" as she stood up and said
"Name is Elizabeth but my friends call me Liz. Who are you?" and he said kind of stunned at her beauty
"Name is Michael Augenstine and if you don't mind my asking what is your last name?" and she passed her Air force ID before instantly getting suspicious and asking
"Are you one of the Tehranian or Kaesonian spies that we have heard about and even had a run in with?" and he held up a photo ID saying he was a Liberion and smiled saying
"Mom's a karlsland native and served in the Luftwaffe and dad is a liberion Navy sailor so I have a military blood and background so there is no way in hell I would be a spy or traitor" and with that she grabbed his hand and helped him to his feet as he was unsteady as all hell from the variety of injuries he had sustained and as he fell into Liz's arm he jokingly said
"It's been a while since I was walking around so I am a timid little foal" and she laughed before rubbing a hand over his arm saying in a very light hearted manner
"I think I will keep this little pony and my last name is Yeager and you said Karlsland and Liberion so who is your relatives if you want to talk about it that is? I don't want you to feel pressured into telling me" and looking into her greenish-blue eyes Michael said
"Barkhorn is her last name and my dad had the last name Augenstine which means-" and Liz said cutting him off "eye stone and I know one, he had the Medal of Honor and Karlsland badge of Honour for assisting in the repulsion of the Orrusian attacks even though Tehrania had a major hand in trying to get them to launch the operation and I was going to ask him to marry me but he got transferred and I think he may have died" and she let her eyes fall to the floor as if she loved the boy and Michael raised her head by putting a finger under her chin and said, looking into her worried and saddened eyes and he made her smile as he said
"When I get home I will look for the boy because you seem like you really love him so I promise you I will do my damnedest to find him come hell or high water" and she held him tight squealing repeatedly yelling as she bounced up and down
"Oh thank you oh so much!" and Michael had a feeling of déjà vu and just laughed before he said as curious as ever
"So the striker and long pants you are wearing, they are very strange and I thought witches only wore shorts at the very max cause that's what we do in my unit" and Liz almost doubled over laughing as she went blue in the face and as he started thinking he would have to do CPR a familiar alarm went off and he yelled
"Shit! I guess what you were gonna tell me will have to wait and for the love of god come back alive" and as Liz took off to the hangar he saw a chart and recognized what to him was an XFA88 space fighter although here it was called a F88A and he whistled before saying quietly
"Lockheed-Martian said that was just a demonstrator of stealth space tech for the 90s into the 2000's I can't believe they built it" and he saw a man in his 30s holding a Beowulf with a major chip on his shoulder and the man spat out
"Well about fucking time the space unit got to have a kill because most of the fucking Nueroi would meet an end before you got the chance so you guys deserve a drink" and she nodded rapidly before saying
"Thank you papa and I hope I made you proud because that is all I want is your approval" and Chris knew the feeling of wanting to get your parents approval as his mom and dad were both military and he never seemed to be able to live up to their image. Starting to zone out he was snapped awake by a voice asking
"So what is your name son?" and he snapped to attention and saluted saying
"Michael Augenstine sir" and saw as Liz chuckled and said, setting a hand on his shoulder causing him to blush as Lexi had done the exact same thing when they first started dating and he yelled as he suddenly felt something that didn't look right
"Get down and stay down" and as he grabbed the rifle a voice said
"You knew we would kill your family and really should have thought this through when you stood against us" causing Michael to yell all the while chambering a round because he knew that the conversation could turn deadly fast
"One who the fuck are you because I honestly have no idea who you are and two if it kills me tonight then by all means I am ready to die" and he saw a figure slide up and as he pointed Michael heard a low and stone cold voice that was all too familiar to his own spit out
"Well you bastards want a fight well game on you suicidal fucks!" and Lisa stood up with a shotgun and dropped the three with a blast from a trusty Remington 12 gauge and said
"I am saying you got into a real mess but I have to leave and go home for a bit" and as she recognized who had saved them and said quietly
"Well Serena what took you so long because honestly you know fully well that he could have killed us all" and Michael asked a little nervous, but also wanting to thank his rescuer properly and was stunned hearing
"Serena Wilms member of the 161st JFW and 312th space fighter wing as is my best friend here" and a young man with a patch on his eye and a major chip on his shoulder Michael heard a voice saying
"Well yall the shootout training from paintball and sim rounds I would have expected them to have dropped earlier but oh well" and as they walked away Michael hugged onto his new friend and said quietly
"Liz I have a past that I have tried to had but I don't know if I can anymore and you can hate me if you want" as the memories of actions yet to come and he explained all the past he had done with the special forces and that concentration camp in Kosovo and the death squads as well as the highway of death as well as the assassination of the president of Fedayen he said
"I am a Special Forces operative and have the blood of many on my hands and I can't bear for you to be so close to a killer because the sins of my past could come back at any time" as he suddenly realized the attempt was on Alex's life, who was his grandson. As he started to fall she grabbed him and said
"I dont care about those actions just I care about the man in front of me and he is a great one" causing Michael to blush and as he held on to her he heard a song and the girl in his arms sighed with a mixture of contentment and sadness before she sang
"May we all learn that nothing is cool till you wear the new off, sound of a quarter rolling down the jukebox playing Travis Tritt right above the Tupac by a cold sixer with a cashed in lotto" and with the tears in her eyes she said
"Alex used to sing that to me when I fell asleep in his arms and we danced to it the day we graduated from the liberion naval academy and instantly went to Special Forces school, something about wanting to make his family proud" and Michael smiled before saying
"miss I hate to say this but I need to leave so I can try and find the boy you speak so highly of and I will let you know what I find" and with that he left and walked out the door only to see Freddy tell him
"Come on boy we have more time traveling to do" and they ended the conversation Michael opened his eyes he saw both boys were wearing gun belts and the colt peacemakers as well as a lever action rifle both boys saw a lynch mob surround a girl and try to hang her and Michael said pointing his rifle in their direction
"You know she is a Nueroi so she will try and hang her so I say we kill them all before she does". Watching as they lifted her up both boys heard
"She is a nice Nueroi witch so I have to save her" and Xalitha stood next to them looking like she would torture them. *EVERYTIME SHE SAYS NICE NEUROI WITCH AT ANY TIME IN THE REST OF THE STORY TAKE A SHOT* No Richard that would kill them so try again. Seeing her swing around Michael yelled
"You all are so fucked and not fit to live so you all go to hell annnnnd FIREBALL" dropping a firebomb on the group and a voice yelled
"If we are so evil may god strike us down where we stand" and all three said
"And god said fuck this general area in particular" and they blasted away with fire, lightning and energy blasts and the survivor mumbled
"Nice try jackass next time give it your A-game" and Michael threw his sword through the man and Freddy muttered before they flew off
"I would crack a sexual joke about how boned he was but fuck it". As he woke up for the second time Michael muttered but heard a voice say in his head
"I researched and you are him well his parent so I have to say this, thank you and I love you so check these coordinates" and with that Michael pushed himself over to a computer and after putting the coordinates in he saw a heart and the letters "EY 3 AA" and as the group came in Lexi asked as she looked over her boyfriend's shoulder and looked annoyed and asked, as she spun him around causing him to think it was the end
"I heard your middle name is Alex and who is EY and is that you?" and he said
"It'll be awhile so I will tell you so grab a drink" and after telling her everything he asked if she had any questions and she said laughing
"So we have a kid who has Yeager in love with him? Well it seems about right so lets go get dinner and your buying".
