Tai, Joe, Kara, Agumon, Labramon and Gomamon were paddling Matt's boat across the lake. "Hey, what's wrong with you guys? Can't you guys make this bucket go any faster?" asked Agumon, sitting on top of the boat while Tai and Joe paddled.
"Don't rush them, Agumon. You can't make them go any faster." said Kara as she was sitting next to him with Labramon climbing back on board.
"What are you doing to help?" asked Joe.
"Watching out for icebergs." said Agumon.
"We'd gladly trade places with you but…" said Gomamon, sitting in the water at the front of the boat.
"…unfortunately our little legs won't reach the peddles." said Agumon and Gomamon as they start laughing together.
"Traitors." said Labramon, about to shake off the water.
"Hey! We could go faster if we threw you off!" threatened Tai.
"You wouldn't." said Agumon, calling his bluff.
"It's tempting." said Tai.
"You wouldn't do that to me and Labramon, right?" asked Kara.
"I would never do that, Kara." said Tai.
"Better not." said Gomamon. A few minutes later they arrive at an island with a castle on the high cliff. "Whoa! The palace is huge." said Joe as the six stared in awe.
"And way up there too. As if my legs weren't tired already." said Tai as he checks his digivice and sees a green dot at the top, indicating Mimi's location with an orange, silver and lavender dots at the bottom representing him, Joe and Kara. "But there's no doubt about it. That is Mimi. So up we go." said Tai and the six of them climb the stairs to the top.
"If this castle has lots of bedrooms, which means I wouldn't have to share a room with Tai anymore." said Kara and Tai gives her a sad look.
"I thought that you loved me." said Tai. Kara smiled and hugged her brother. "I do and I didn't mean it like that, Tai. It would be up to mom and dad if we lived somewhere like this." she tells him. Once they made it to the top, the six of them became exhausted from paddling and walking up the stairs. "How do they get their mail?" asked Joe.
Just then, they hear multiple voices on the other side of the door, shouting things that don't make sense. They open the door to find frogs with tube like horns attached to their bodies and big tadpole like creatures. "Is this a palace or some kind of loony bin?" asked Tai.
"Seems like it's both." said Joe, opening the door wider.
"Why do those frogs have horns attached to them?" asked Kara.
"Her highness is getting angry." said a frog like digimon.
"These are Geckomon? I've heard of them. They really love music-not surprising since they're born with those horns." said Gomamon about the frog digimon.
"Does that answer your question, Kara?" asked Labramon.
"It does now." said Kara.
"Hurry before she blows her top!" shouted the tadpole like digimon.
"And I've heard of the other digimon-they're called Otamamon." said Agumon.
"Hurry! Hurry!" shouted Geckomon.
"Um hello." said Gomamon, catching the Geckomon's attention. "Could you help us? We're looking for someone." he said as they walked up.
"About time you got here. Where's the hot fudge sundae we ordered on delivery for the princess?" asked Geckomon.
"That's not us." said the six in unison.
"Then you must be delivering her chili cheeseburger with fries and supersize milkshake." said another Geckomon.
"That's not us either." they said again.
"Of course not, they're delivering the garden salad with low fat dressing." said another Geckomon.
"We'd like to ask a question if you don't mind." they said.
"Her highness asked for a hot fudge sundae!" said the first Geckomon.
"No, she asked for a chili cheeseburger!" said the second Geckomon.
"Excuse me, she said she wanted a Greek salad!" said the third Geckomon.
"Hey, excuse me; have you seen a girl in a hat?" asked Tai.
"Hey we're ordering lunch here." said Otamamon.
"Oh well, I'll have a burger." said Joe.
"Do you have a turkey sandwich?" asked Kara.
"All the princess really wants is that polka dot party dress she ordered." said Otamamon.
"Old news. Now she wants a pink leather with matching boots and accessories." said another Otamamon.
"No one told me that." said the first Otamamon.
"Oh get with the program." said the second Otamamon. A second later, all the Geckomon and Otamamon were arguing about orders and weren't paying attention to the digidestined. "It sounds to me that this princess of theirs is extremely picky." Joe said to Tai and Kara.
"She sounds kinda spoiled to me." said Tai.
"Sounds like she should appreciate for what she does have and not for what she doesn't have." said Kara and Labramon nodded in agreement.
"Well said Kara." said Gomamon.
"I wonder what happens if they don't do what she says." said Agumon.
"Here she comes!" shouted the Geckomon and Otamamon, running off, leaving Tai, Kara, Joe and their digimon at the door.
"Presenting her highness, the princess!" shouted Geckomon and the six looked up at the top of the stairs.
"Cool, we're going to meet the princess." said Tai but then gasps as they see who it is.
"It's Mimi!" Tai and Joe said as Kara looks at her in awe. They see her wearing a pink dress with her crest around her neck. "Oh bummer. What a surprise." said Mimi, holding a fancy pink fur lined fan.
"You're telling me. What are you doing up there?" asked Tai.
"What do you think? Being a princess of course." said Mimi, opening the fan in front of her.
"So you're the spoiled princess we've been hearing about." said Agumon.
"We should've known it was Mimi." everyone said together.
"Don't call me Mimi anymore! That's 'princess' now." said Mimi.
"This will not go very well." said Labramon.
"You can say that again." said Kara.
Meanwhile far away, DemiDevimon was in a creepy looking forest, talking with Myotismon. "Don't you worry, oh mighty wickedness. This time we cannot fail." said DemiDevimon.
"We? You'd better not fail." said Myotismon from the portal.
"It's in the bag. Piece of cake." said DemiDevimon.
"Is the plan at the palace working?" asked Myotismon.
"Couldn't be better. The Geckomon are spoiling her rotten and she's eating it up. If she keeps it up, her crest of sincerity's going to be useless, master." said DemiDevimon.
"Do you know what will happen if you disappoint me again, DemiDevimon?" Myotismon asks.
"I've got a big idea." said DemiDevimon.
"Good. Then see that you don't." said Myotismon and disappears.
Back at the Geckomon castle, Mimi brought the boys, Kara and Labramon to her new bedroom. "Well, the important thing is that you're alright." said Joe.
"Yeah that's for sure. Well, come on. Let's get a move on." said Tai.
"No way!" said Mimi.
"Right you want to change first. We'll wait." said Joe.
"For what? I'm keeping this dress on." said Mimi.
"And it's beautiful but it's not the best thing to wear to walk long distances." said Agumon.
"Walking? I have no intention of walking anywhere." said Mimi. Kara and Labramon stood there, watching the boys bicker back and forth with Mimi. "Are you expecting us to carry you out of here your majesty?" asked Joe.
"No, I'm not going." said Mimi.
"Huh?" they all asked.
"Why would I leave? I am a princess here. Besides who knows if we'll ever find our way home, so I might as well live large and in charge." said Mimi.
"You've got to be kidding." said Joe.
"The princess in charge of what? Being a spoiled brat?" Kara asked.
"No one asked you to chime in, little Miss Weirdo." said Mimi. Tears were filling up in Kara's eyes as she runs over to Tai. "Geez Mimi, you didn't have to be mean to her. She was just asking a question." said Joe.
"Well, it's true. She is one. I've got a nice bed, pretty clothes, food; it's like having a birthday every day. I am a princess and you want me to give all this up? I don't think so." said Mimi as if they were all stupid and couldn't see that for themselves.
"Is something wrong?" Palmon's voice is heard from the hallway.
"Another servant?" asked Agumon.
"No, it's Palmon." said Gomamon, as they turned around towards the door.
"Finally, a voice of reason. Palmon, come talk some sense into Mimi." said Joe.
"As in princess?" asked Palmon as she came in dressed in a pink and white dress. Both Tai and Joe fell to the floor in shock as Mimi grinned smugly. "Oh no! Not you too!" said Joe as he got up in the plant's face. Palmon then looked at Kara, seeing the young girl sniffling every now and then from Mimi's hurt words, clinging onto Tai. "Kara, what's wrong? Are you ok?" asked Palmon. All Kara can do was just point to Mimi.
"Ok, that's enough. This is no time for playing games. Both of you change out of those dumb clothes and let's get out of here." said Tai.
"I'm not playing a game, Tai! I'm staying! You can go at any time. Why don't you go look for the others? Be gone from my palace!" yelled Mimi.
"Wait, Mimi. Don't be mean, they're our friends." said Palmon.
"If you wanna go, be my guest!" Mimi yelled at her.
"You are coming with us! Get down off that high horse of yours and shift that rear into high gear!" yelled Tai, getting annoyed with Mimi.
"Stop fighting….please stop fighting." Kara said quietly as she hugged Labramon.
"Yeah, come on. Why do you think we almost killed ourselves trying to find you? Because you are part of the team." said Joe, trying to reason with her. It didn't work as she turned away from them, with her arms crossed and her nose in the air. "That's very nice, but I'm not going." said Mimi.
"That's it! Mimi, like it or not, Joe' right. We've gotta stick together, so I'm not budging from this spot until you come to your senses and come with us." said Tai as he sat down, crossed legged.
"Yeah." said Agumon, doing the same as Tai.
"Right." said Gomamon, following Agumon.
"Where my brother goes, I go." said Kara as she and Labramon follow suit. The selfish princess turned to look at them with a cold look. "Really? You all keep forgetting who's in charge around here." sneered Mimi as she picked up a bell and rang it. In a millisecond, a swarm of Geckomon was there. "Your highness, what is it that you desire?" asked one of the Geckomon.
"I desire these rude and bothersome peasants to be removed from my bedroom at once." ordered Mimi.
"Yes princess!" said Geckomon as they all came after them and grabbed their arms.
"Hey, let go!" cried Joe.
"Quit pushing!" Agumon yelped.
"You're hurting me!" yelled Kara.
"Get your grubby hands off of me." yelled Tai. After the door to Mimi's room closes, Palmon stares at her friend. "Oh Mimi." Palmon said in disappointment. The Geckomon all carried them to the outside of the palace and lowered the draw bridge. "I swear that I won't ever kiss a frog." yelled Kara.
"I won't dissect you frogs in biology, okay." yelled Tai as they were thrown down onto the bridge.
"If that's the way you treat your guests, we're never coming back." said Gomamon as the boys, Kara and Labramon got up on their feet.
"Now what are we going to do? She's totally into Digi-fairy tale." said Joe.
"I wonder what she could've done to get them waiting on her hand and foot like this." said Tai.
"You really want to know?" asked Geckomon, making them all look at him in surprise.
"Uh sure." said Tai at the three depressed Geckomon and the two Otamamon.
"You're not taking us to an evil digimon, are you?" Joe asked nervously as they followed the frogs and tadpoles to what looked like a royal warehouse.
"Uh-uh." said a second Geckomon.
"What if Mimi catches us?" asked Tai, keeping an arm round Kara.
"She won't." assured a third Geckomon.
"Here's our master, Lord Shogunmon." said the first Geckomon. in front of them was a stage that had dozen of different stage lights and there sitting on stage, was a huge red and yellow from with his back facing the digidestined, with two horns attached to his shoulders. There was a green color made of leaves around his neck and he had a long red hair thing with purple at its ends.
"Whoa…somebody's had a few too many doughnuts." said Tai.
"He's bigger than our uncle at thanksgiving." said Kara, her eyes getting wide.
"Is it a statue or something?" asked Joe.
"No, it's not a statue. He's very much alive." said Geckomon.
"Huh?" asked the six of them.
"He may be alive, but he's not lively, is he?" asked Agumon.
"Or very mobile for that matter." said Labramon.
"He's sleeping." said Otamamon.
"Sleeping?" asked Kara.
"He's been this way for over 300 years. You see, Lord Shogunmon was proud of his voice and entering contests, but he lost. He felt so bad that he fell into a deep sleep from which he never recovered. It's said only a beautiful voice as the voice that beat him can wake him. For centuries we tried, but every song's failed." said the first Geckomon.
"Then we got a break. A strange little digimon spoke of a girl with a pretty voice. He told us where to find her and we did." explained Otamamon.
[Flashback]
Mimi stands in front of the microphone and starts singing. "I wanna sing a song. A song that will wake you up. And when you hear my voice, you call me sweet buttercup. Just give me a listen…" Mimi sings, not knowing what was happening behind her.
All the Geckomon and Otamamon's eyes were sparkling with delight. Mimi starts humming and was about to start singing again but then… "Sorry, I forgot the words." said Mimi, causing a disappointment.
Later the Geckomon and Otamamon served her food. "Wow! You mean all this is for me" Mimi asked in awe as the food was placed in front of her.
"Maybe this will help you remember the words." said Geckomon. Later Mimi tries singing again. "I wanna sing a song. A song that will wake you up. And when you hear my voice, you call me…" Mimi then stops and puts her finger to her chin.
"You know, this place is too dark. How about we get a disco ball and some spotlights, huh? And of course, we'll need hair, makeup and costumes." she said, causing everyone to groan. Later, Mimi and Palmon were in princess dresses and were about to sing. "Oh I'm tired. You know what, lets pick it up tomorrow." said Mimi as everyone minus Palmon falls to the ground.
[Flashback ends]
"And that's the way it's been. One excuse after another." said the second Otamamon.
"We've done all she's wanted. We even redecorated the palace for her. I used to like pink, but now I can't even stand to look at It." said the second Geckomon.
"And when one of us complains to her." said the second Otamamon.
[Flashback]
"Whoa, be careful. You wouldn't want me to lose my voice now, would ya?" asked Mimi as she twirled her hair.
[Flashback ends]
"We're in a terrible position, you see? We're totally helpless." said the first Otamamon.
"Unfortunately, you've given Mimi the life she's been accustomed to and then some." said Joe.
"Well, since your friends of hers…" the second Geckomon trailed off.
"Could you reason with her, please? We'd be so eternally grateful." said the first Otamamon.
"I don't think she knows what 'reason' is." said Agumon.
"Right now, Mimi is not my friend. I will forgive her when she says she's sorry." said Kara.
"Kara is very particular when it comes to who she lets in her inner circle. She's been like this since she was a baby." said Tai, knowing his little sister. Suddenly, Tai gets an idea. "Just leave it to me, guys. I've got it." said Tai, making them turn to him, wondering what he was going to do.
"I knew it. I knew you'd come through!" said the first Geckomon hopefully.
"Yay!" cheered the Otamamon.
"What are you thinking, Tai?" asked Joe.
"Who says you need Mimi to wake up jumbo?" asked Tai as he grabs the mic. "Crank it up and let me take a shot!"
"You?!" they asked, then all laughed in disbelief.
"Whatcha laughing at?" asked Tai.
"I'm gonna sing a song. A song that will wake you up. I'm belt it out. Shogunmon, it's time to get UUUUPPP!" he sang as everyone covered their ears. "Hey wake up!" he said to the big guy as Joe walked onto the stage.
"Hey, let me give it a shot." said Joe, taking the mic from Tai.
"I'm attempting to sing a song. A song that will awaken you and aid all of the Geckomon that are loyal to your world view and of you being in charge." he sang as everyone shook their heads 'no' at it. "I'm attempting to sing a song. A song that will wake you up and aid all of the Geckomon…" he continued before Gomamon and Agumon gave it a shot.
I bring this song to you. A tune right now until June. When you hear us sing, you call us singing buffoons. We just wanna wake you up so don't close your ears." Agumon and Gomamon tried singing but no such luck. When they saw that it wasn't working, they gave up as the music stopped and the lights went off. "It's a good thing I didn't go up there." said Kara.
"Why do you say that?" asked Labramon.
"Kara has stage fright. She'll sing for family but not for other people." replied Tai. They then looked up at Lord Shogunmon. "It's no use." said Joe.
"After that, he might not wake up for another 300 years." said Tai.
"Hey guys." said someone behind them, making them turn to see the plant digimon.
"Palmon." said Tai.
"Why did you all disappear like that? It was like you weren't even happy to see us." said Palmon, making them look at her like she was insane.
"What are you talking about? In case you haven't noticed, Mimi's gone nuts." said Agumon.
"She was even mean to me." said Kara.
"Yeah. Hmm…now that I think of it, she has gone off the deep end. Even for her." said Palmon, making them sigh and slouch over at that.
"Oh, well, you noticed?" Tai asked sarcastically.
"You're so observant." Gomamon quipped weakly. Palmon just giggled and placed her hand behind her head shyly. "If Izzy was here, he could probably talk some sense into her." said Palmon.
"But he's not." said Tai, Kara and Joe.
"Right." said Palmon, then she comes up with a plan that involved them to trick Mimi into singing. The boys, Kara and Labramon were sitting outside on the balcony of Mimi's room with a tape recorder that was hooked up to a karaoke machine in her room. "So, she'll be performing and won't even know it." said Joe after the plan was explained.
"Yeah and we'll get the whole thing on tape." said Tai, with the earphones on his head.
"I hope this works, Tai." said Kara.
"Watch it!" Gomamon gasped when he sees her opening the door to her room. Everyone ducked down as Tai turns on the machine. "What's this?" asked Mimi as she walks into the room.
"It's a karaoke set." said Palmon.
"Yes, I can see that. But what's it doing in my royal chambers?" asked Mimi.
"I just love hearing you sing. I thought you might give us a private concert here." said Palmon, laughing nervously. "Thanks, you're the greatest." she said, handing Mimi the mic and started the music. "Now, feel the music." she tells her.
"Tai, is she falling for it?" asked Joe.
"Mm-hmm." said Tai with a smirk.
"Huh? What's that cord for?" asked Mimi, then notices it going out onto her balcony. Seeing that she was being tricked, she then screams into the mic, making the sound so loud that the others screamed as well, making Tai scream the loudest. Mimi called the Geckomon and had them all thrown in jail, the bars clanging after them. Even Palmon was stripped of her princess dress. "So, you thought you could pull a fast one on Princess Mimi, did you?" taunted Mimi as she stood in front of the cell.
"That's Princess 'Meany'!" said Tai.
"Yeah." said Agumon.
"Why are you even doing this to us, Mimi?" asked Labramon.
"Who do you think you are, anyway? Don't you remember we're your friends?" asked Joe.
"I remember you tried to trick me." said Mimi.
"We tried to trick you because we're trying to save you." said Tai.
"Have you forgotten it's not nice to lock people up in a dungeon? Where are your manners?" asked Agumon. Mimi scoffed as she turned away and started walking. "Wait!" Tai called out to her. Kara was standing next to Palmon, sticking her tongue out when she was passing by them. "Uh, before you go, we have something to say to you." said Palmon, making her pause and frown at them. "Nobody likes you more than I do." she said in a tear voice. "It hurts me deeply to say this, but…YOURE A SPOILED BRAT!" Palmon yelled, tears filling her eyes.
"What happen to the Mimi when we first got to Digi-world? She wouldn't have been mean to me and acting this way!" shouted Kara. Mimi gasped in shock, he eyes widened as she turned away from Palmon and the young girl. "Is that a fact? Well, it's nice to know how you really feel!" yelled Mimi before she walked away with a huff, leaving Palmon sagged over in sadness.
Unknown to the seven, Sora was watching them from the barred window. "What can I do?" wondered Sora. Later that night, Mimi was asleep in her bed and it looks like she was having a bad dream.
[Dream]
Devimon and Etemon appeared out of nowhere and were coming towards Mimi as she gasps in fright. Just then, the Geckomon and Otamamon appeared as well. "Hurry, stop them! I've got to have your help." said Mimi.
"Sorry." they said to her.
"(gasp) Oh yeah, well then I won't sing anymore." Mimi threatens.
"Big deal. You wouldn't sing even when we did what you wanted." said the middle Geckomon.
"You're on your own." said the left Geckomon and they turned around.
"Wait, don't leave me! I'll sing for you! I promise!" shouted Mimi but they disappeared.
Mimi turns and sees Devimon and Etemon getting closer to her. She then sees Tai, Agumon, Joe, Gomamon, Kara, Labramon and Palmon appear in front of her. "Help me, please." begged Mimi.
"Sorry, but we only help our friends." said Tai.
"What's wrong, Mimi?" asked Agumon.
"You don't need my help, Mimi." said Kara.
"You never wanted our help in the first place." said Labramon.
"What's the matter? I thought you were having the time of your life." said Joe and the six of them disappeared.
"Palmon." Mimi said to her digimon.
"I've got to go now, Mimi. goodbye." said Palmon and disappears as well. Devimon and Etemon continues to draw closer to her.
[Dream ends]
"Oh, won't anybody help me?! Please! Palmon! Don't leave me!" screamed Mimi, waking up from the dream.
"Hey. Hey. Hey Mimi." said Sora, standing by her bedside.
"Where am I?" asked Mimi.
"Do you have any idea what that horrible dream was trying to tell you, Mimi?" asked Sora.
"I'm sorry. Oh, I really am." said Mimi.
"Well then, you know what you have to make things right?" asked Sora.
"Yes." said Mimi, understanding what she has to do.
"That-a-girl. I knew you'd find yourself again." said Sora before Mimi's eyes get blurry but when they clear, she finds there's a green light coming from her chest.
"The crest!" exclaimed Mimi, seeing her crest glowing brightly. "Sora." she calls out but no one is there. Meanwhile in the dungeon Tai, Agumon, Joe, Gomamon, Kara, Labramon and Palmon were all asleep in the floor. "Alright, wake up!" yelled a Geckomon, making them groaned as they tried to brush away the fog they were in.
"What now?" asked Tai.
"Is it time for school already?" asked Kara, sleepily.
"The princess wants you." said Geckomon as he and his friend led them to where Shogunmon was.
"Is she going to chop our heads off?" asked Tai.
"I hope not." said Labramon.
"Don't even joke." said Joe. They walked in to see the place was packed with Geckomon and Otamamon watching as Mimi stood there on stage in her normal clothes with a guilty, but sad look on her face.
"What's she up to?" they asked.
"First of all, there's something I've got to everyone here, especially Kara. Tai and Joe. Agumon, Labramon and Gomamon. Palmon. All of you have been so nice. I'm sorry!" cried Mimi as she bowed, making them all gasp. "I've been such a little idiot! If you can find it in your hearts to forgive me, and I don't know why you would, but if you can, then I be honored to sing for you…one more time." she said, lifting her head to show tears falling from her brown eyes and her face was red from crying.
"We forgive you." said Palmon as everyone smiled at her.
"As long as you don't do it again." said Kara.
"Of course we do. Sing, your highness." said the first Geckomon as everyone started shouting their encouragements for her to sing.
"Oh, thank you." said Mimi, sniffling with a smile as she dried her eyes.
"Hit the lights and cue the music." said Palmon. The room went dark as the music started up, then started going faster and louder, a spotlight shone down on Mimi.
"I wanna sing a song, a song that will bring Shogunmon around. When he hears my voice, I hope he likes the sound. He has to listen, listen to my sincere heart." she sang as Shogunmon started moving.
"I learned that friends are friends even when they're apart." she sang as the boys, Kara and Labramon started dancing.
"I've asked my friends to forgive me from the bottom of my heart. If it's my choice, his eyes would be open wide and the Geckomon would be cheering. Would be cheering with pride…" Mimi then stopped singing when Shogunmon started moving. He stood up and turned around, the ground shaking as he did so. Everyone felt nervous as he was way too close to their friend. "Don't panic! It's our lord and master Shogunmon. Finally restored after many centuries." said the third Geckomon.
"Too late! I'm already panicking!" said Kara, jumping into Labramon's arms.
"I was having such a nice sleep. Which one of you clowns woke me up? Or should I all of ya?" Shogunmon threatened with a nasty look on his face.
"Women and gentlemon first!" cried a random Geckomon. They all ran out of the building as the giant frog went on a rampage. "And I thought…I was cranky when I first wake up." panted Joe.
"Give me the mean Mimi back any day!" yelled Gomamon.
"I agree. Mean Mimi was better." said Kara.
"Whose idea was this? Remind me never to listen to them again!" yelled the first Geckomon.
"You wanna hear some singing?!" demanded Shogunmon.
"The ground will shake, when you hear the noise I make. 'Cause I'm glad to be awake. YEAH!" he sang, then the horns blasted out the air, blowing everyone but Mimi and Palmon away, sending them into the river. Part of the roof gives out and comes right at Mimi. "Mimi! Palmon digivolve to…Togemon!" shouted Togemon, then punches the debris away before it hits Mimi.
"That was a close one." said Togemon.
"Can you forgive me?" Mimi asked her champion level digimon.
"Of course I can." said Togemon.
"Togemon, youse the best. Thank you." said Mimi, hugging her boxing glove.
"I'm just glad old Mimi's back." said Togemon, rubbing Mimi's head.
"Really? You mean it? Then let's take care of this out of tune goon." said Mimi, grabbing the mic. "Hey you! How about some gratitude? I sang you out of that 300 year nap you wannabe!" she said through the mic.
"All that racket, it was you?" asked Shogunmon.
"Uh oh." said Mimi as Shogunmon gets closer, but then a missile explodes in front of him, stopping the frog in his tracks.
Mimi and Togemon looked outside to see Greymon, Ikkakumon and Labramon outside, along with everyone else on the beach. "Oh, have you come to play?" taunted Shogunmon.
"Nova Blast! Harpoon Torpedo! Retriever Bark!" said Greymon, Ikkakumon and Labramon as they blasted their attacks towards Shogunmon.
"Now it's show time!" shouted Shogunmon.
"Now it can try that, cause I'll knock you flat. And now you're gonna feel it. YEAH!" he sings again and blew his horns, cancelling the attacks and sending all three digimon onto their backs.
"Did you see that?" asked Tai as Kara runs over to her digimon.
"Yeah, he gives new meaning to the term 'flat note'." said Joe.
"Watch out below!" Shogunmon called out as he jumped down from the hole in the castle wall, but then Tai's digivice turned solid orange and his crest shot out of his tag.
"Greymon digivolve to…MetalGreymon!" shouted MetalGreymon, standing over them and head-butted the big frog away from everyone, sends him flying into the damaged building as Togemon jumps out with Mimi in her arms.
"Yeah, give it to him MetalGreymon!" shouted Tai.
"Teach that big meanie a lesson!" shouted Kara and Labramon.
"Giga Blaster!" yelled MetalGreymon, firing them off into Shogunmon's horns, then an explosion was caused, burying him in the rubble. The sun soon came up as Togemon and Ikkakumon went back into their rookie forms as MetalGreymon turns back into Koromon. The four kids and their digimon went to go check out the damage. "He deserved hear that last flat note, don't you think?" asked Mimi with a frown as they laughed, then smiles and laughs with them.
"Well, ready to go Mimi?" asked Tai.
"Yeah. Do you think I could take some of my princess clothes with me?" asked Mimi.
"Mimi!" Tai said in exasperation.
"I say this because I value Tai's sanity. No, I wouldn't do it." said Labramon.
"Well, it just seems a waste. The jewels at least?" begged Mimi. Meanwhile far away from the Geckomon castle, DemiDevimon was with Myotismon. "Didn't you say you knew what would happen if you failed?" asked Myotismon.
"Well, when I said that I knew, I didn't really mean that I knew knew. You know what I mean? But now that I do know, if it's not too much trouble sir, could I bother you for a glass of water?!" DemiDevimon asked as he hung over a fireplace.
