Chapter 25- A Warrior from the Past

Mamoru and the senshi made it to the construction site and transformed just in time to see Tritus and Uranus taking a short break. The fight between them had been a brutal one so far, with both of them bloodied and wounded. Judging from how Tritus was clutching his shoulder, Uranus appeared to be winning. She quickly followed up with a blow to the head, causing Tritus to drop his weapon and fall backwards. Tritus was too exhausted to get up, so he slid away from Uranus, who was now taunting him with her sword. Uranus figured that he was now panicking on the inside as he pulled a piece of his hair out and patted it into the dirt: perhaps his way of dealing with impending death. His face contorted in fear as the rest of the senshi and Tuxedo Mask surrounded him. They figured it would be best for Uranus to finish what she started since she had taken an interest in this particular enemy.

"Gaaaarrrrh! I can't believe this! This girl in a skirt is stronger than I thought. I never had anyone put me in this position before."

"Are you done talking?" Uranus asked. "I'm just about through here. It's time to finish you off!"

"Tritus laid his head on the ground in defeat and chuckled. "Well, you're the better fighter, Uranus. I cannot deny that. I feel pretty pathetic right about now."

"Why, because you are about to die?"

"No, because I used to be an honorable fighter…."

"Huh?"

Tritus grinned mischievously and raised his foot into the air. He then stomped into the pile of dirt where his strand of hair was. The senshi and Mamoru soon felt the ground rumbling as they saw an orange trail split the ground open and make its way towards them. Before they could dodge the trail, thick bands of orange hair coiled around them. They were now trapped and unable to move. While Uranus was distracted, Tritus used his other foot to drive it into her leg. The sharp pain caused Uranus to grab her leg and stumble to the floor, where more orange hair coiled around her wrists and ankles.

"Hahahaha, I have to hand it to you, Uranus. You're the only person I had to use that move on. Normally, I don't like to use dirty tactics, but for you, I made an exception. You should feel honored.

Uranus tried to figure out how this could happen to her, until she remembered the words of Trinity.

"Don't get caught off guard."

And that's exactly what happened to Uranus. She grunted and tried to break free of the disgusting hair, but could not. If there was ever a time she felt "emasculated", it was now.

"Quit resisting and accept your fate!" Tritus screamed. He picked up her sword and it was now him taunting her. Tritus placed the blade up to her neck.

"Uranus!" Michiru cried out.

"Shut up!" Tritus replied back. He continued to push the blade further into her until the edges were coated in her blood. "Don't worry, Uranus, I'm trying to save you."

Uranus scoffed at him and grinned. If she was going to die, she sure wasn't going to show any fear, especially not towards Tritus. "Wow, you really are demented, aren't you? Go ahead you piece of crap, do your worst. Michiru, I love you."

"No!" she yelled back in response.

Before Tritus, could complete his execution, he heard a loud screech and felt a pair claws scratch into his neck.

"Ouch! Hey, what the- get off of me, you stupid cat!" He reached behind him only to grab a dark cat with a weird-looking symbol on its forehead.

"Luna!" The senshi yelled. They had no clue that she was in the area and figured she was probably taking a stroll and just happened to find them. Sailor Moon had mixed feelings about seeing the feline at this particular moment, but as of right now, Luna may have been their only chance of getting out of this mess. Luna continued her attacks on Tritus, and was now scratching his face. He became very irritated and slung the cat into a nearby wall, effectively rendering her unconscious. Tritus took a moment to regain his composure before grabbing his original dagger and tilting the Uranus's chin up.

It was now Sailor Moon who was crying. "Stop it! Stop it, you monster!"

Tritus raised his head and glanced at the leader of the group. Sailor Moon began to feel uncomfortable when he started licking his lips and making his way towards her.

By the time Chibiusa and Hotaru made it back to Rei's room, she was already sleeping.

"Gee, so much for company, Chibiusa said. Immediately after she spoke, dark clouds covered the sky and a fierce crack of thunder penetrated throughout Tokyo. The sudden change of weather startled the girls.

"Where did that come from?" Hotaru asked. Out of nowhere, Rei began to grunt and clutch her chest. Short, deep breaths came from her mouth with struggle.

"Gaaah errrr-raaah Ser-Serenity aaaaarrrgh!

Chibiusa panicked and shook Rei.

"Serenity? Rei! What's happening?! Hotaru, go call for a nurse!"

Hotaru nodded her head and went to get help, but as soon as she opened the door, Artemis and Setsuna stood in her path.

"Artemis, it's time. Hotaru, Small Lady, stand to the side," Setsuna commanded.

Hotaru was quick to follow Setsuna's order, but Chibiusa was hesitant. "Time for what? Rei needs help!"

"Do as I say, Small Lady."

Chibiusa was taking too long to move, so Artemis guided her to next to Hotaru. Rei's condition seemed to be worsening as her grunts became louder. She forcefully removed herself from the confines of her cover.

"ARRRRRRGGRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH! SERENITYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!"

After her final outburst, there was a brief pause. Rei crossed her arms and clutched herself once more before falling out of the bed. Hotaru and Chibiusa feared that she might now be dead, thanks to Artemis and Setsuna. The goodness in them wanted to check on Rei, but Artemis warned them to stay back. Their inner question of why they couldn't get any closer was answered when a soft glow of red and gold surrounded the senshi and a strange transformation emerged. Artemis and Setsuna stepped forward. They were now looking at the person they expected to show up. When this person stood and dusted herself off, Artemis and Setsuna's serious demeanor was brushed away with a smile.

Artemis walked over and gave her a hug. "Welcome back, Prince."

"Artemis, It's great to see you again."

The Prince turned her attention to Setsuna. They both greeted each other with a nod and smile before getting down to business.

"Setsuna, where….is….Serenity?"

"Right this way…."

Setsuna pressed her time staff against the ground and a door-shaped vision appeared. The Prince saw the girl she loved trapped in what seemed to be hair while an ugly-looking creature groped on her.

"You're such a beautiful girl. You know, I've never felt the touch of a woman before. Why don't you join me and let me experience that feeling? In return, I'll spare your life."

"Eck! I would rather die than join you!"

The Prince was horrified. This man was threatening her princess, and violating her. Anger burned throughout her body. No one messes with her princess.

"You can go through there," Setsuna mentioned.

The Prince took a deep breath and produced a flaming rose in her hand. Disappointment came over her face.

"These were never meant to be used as weapons."

Without any more waiting, the Prince leaped through the door, and the time gate was shut. Hotaru and Chibiusa looked to Setsuna for an explanation while Artemis looked out the window and placed his hand on the blinders.

"It has begun."

"Fine, if that's what you want, then I will have no problem killing you in front of your precious friends." Tritus raised his blade. "And to think Trinity couldn't even take out the leader…..ha! I want to thank you for taking her out, by the way. I abhorred that woman. When you see her, tell Trinity I said that she's a failure and life is so much better without her around. Goodbye, Sailor Moon."

"SAILOR MOON!" the senshi and Mamoru screamed. Sailor Moon knew they could do nothing to help at this point, so she closed her eyes. "Failure," she thought. The princess thought about how she failed Rei. That thought seemed to go on for a long time.

"YEOOOOOOOOOOOW!"

Sailor Moon opened her eyes to figure out if that scream had any reason to do with why she wasn't dead yet. Upon closer inspection, she noticed a flaming rose was stuck in Tritus's arm. Tritus dropped his blade and howled as the fire burned through his skin. He quickly tried to remove the flower with his other hand, but at the cost of his fingers and being seared. When the flower was removed and the flames disappeared, everyone traced the direction that the rose came from, and in the sky they saw a female warrior, clothed in garments similar to Prince Endymion, with a blood red scarf wrapped around the lower half of her face.

The majority of the senshi were puzzled by the appearance of this warrior, and murmured amongst themselves, trying to figure out who she was. However, Minako was the only one in the group that actually knew the answer.

"It's the Prince."
