THEY CAME FROM THE SEA II
This one takes place after the episode 'Home Sweet Hut'
"Could you carry the box please?" Ginger replied seductively.
Gilligan sullenly picked up the toolbox and was about to follow Ginger when all of a sudden they heard a loud hoarse barking. Gilligan dropped the toolbox and they both whipped around and gasped. Standing before them was a huge dark brown sea lion. He was almost as tall as they were. His body was leathery and wrinkly while his chest was huge with thick dark brown fur. He had a pointy muzzle with whiskers and a black nose and a round head. He seemed to look right at Gilligan and barked once more.
"Do you need help Sir?" Gilligan asked calmly.
The sea lion barked and seemed nod. He wobbled around and began moving towards the jungle. Gilligan and Ginger looked at each other then began to slowly follow. After a few minutes they heard a loud brawling grunt and came upon another smaller sea lion that was golden brown. As they got closer they saw the sea lion was standing near a large deep hole and a high pitched bleating was coming from it. Gilligan slowly approached the hole and saw a tiny brown sea lion at the bottom of the hole.
"Awe the poor thing!" Ginger replied.
"Don't worry Mousse don't worry Cookie I'll save baby Fudge for you!" Gilligan replied as he jumped down into the hole.
"Be careful!" Ginger replied as she shifted farther away from the sea lions.
"Awe good boy Fudge it's okay!" Gilligan replied as he picked up the baby sea lion then tried to hop to reach for a way out but couldn't. "Uh oh!"
"What's wrong?" Ginger asked as she looked into the hole.
"Okay Ginger I need you to try to find a vine and give it to Mousse for him to pull me up!" Gilligan replied.
"Um okay!" Ginger replied reluctantly and bent down and picked up the nearest vine and gave one end to Mousse and threw one end down to Gilligan.
"Okay Mousse pull!" Gilligan replied.
Mousse hobbled backwards and managed to pull Gilligan and Fudge out of the hole.
"Are you and Fudge okay!" Ginger asked kneeling down next to them.
"Anything broken Fudge?" Gilligan asked as he felt Fudge over.
Fudge barked and kissed him and Cookie did the same.
Mousse barked a loud booming bark nodded the turned around hobbled up the path with Cookies following behind. Gilligan and Ginger slowly followed.
A few minutes later they arrived at the beach. Mousse then lead Cookie and Fudge down the beach to a rocky area where several other sea lions were gathered.
A/N: There are five species of sea lions. The one I described is the California Sea Lion. Sea Lions differ from seals by having external ear flaps, larger flippers and muscles and can walk on all fours.
They are known for their characteristic bark.
They are used in the U. S. Navy Marine Mammal Program for military missions.
California Sea Lions are usually the trained 'seals' in zoos and aquariums.
