The next morning, before Dean had even gotten up, Jo was out the door and on her ways to her fathers.
"Daddy!" Jo yelled as she entered the huge house, although the house was basically a mansion Jo knew where her father most likely was so yelling was not as stupid as one might think.
She was correct in yelling at the library area when she heard "in here."
As Jo entered the large library, she smiled and hugged her father as she took the big comfy red chair across from him.
"I wasn't expecting to see you until tomorrow. Did you miss your old man and get homesick?" He joked.
Jo laughed at the joke although she didn't think it was too funny. "No, i'm not homesick but I wanted to talk to you before Ben got back tomorrow."
"Ok well talk."
"Well...um...daddy I love you so much and I appreciate everything you've done for me, and especially Ben, but I think it's time for me to leave the nest."
"I think you're wrong." Her father replied simply.
"Well i'm not asking for your opinion." Yesterday she hadn't wanted to argue with her father in front of Dean but today he wasn't here so she saw no reason not to.
Her father sighed. "Joanna Beth you are a twenty year old single mother with a six year old son, people will assume things. You wouldn't be able to get a job, let alone find a place to live."
"Having a kid won't affect my ability to find a job."
"Yes it will." He pinched the bridge of his nose getting annoyed. "Ben really shouldn't be home alone at his age, someone would need to watch him after school. You won't be able to afford the rent or a sitter for him."
"Charlie can watch him."
"She's not a good influence and you forget she works too."
Jo rolled her eyes, "she works from home." It took all her willpower not to add dumbass to the end of that sentence.
"Even if she does you can't pawn him off on her. She has her own life and doesn't want to have to deal with him."
"You know nothing about her! Charlie loves Ben, she would be happy to watch him a few times a week."
"But it's not a few times a week, it would be five days a week, plus probably weekends right?" William shook his head before he added "but I don't know why we're talking about this. You don't have a job or money to move."
"I have enough money saved up to pay first months went somewhere!"
The taller man huffed out a laugh, "that's a lie. Where would you get that money?"
"I've been working."
"Where?"
"Roadhouse." Jo said matter of factly.
"Joanna working for your mother is not work. That is another free handout."
"It's not a fucking handout. I do work!"
William shot out of his seat and looks sternly at his daughter. "Joanna Beth Harvelle you will not use that kind of language in my house."
"Fine but you know where I will use that damn language in my own house because i'm moving." Jo stood up and started walking to the door. "Ben and I will see you tomorrow, I would appreciate if you would not mention this to Ben. I am an adult and can do that myself."
"When your mother hears about this…"
"She'll think it's time I move too." Jo cut him off and yelled from the hall before walking towards the front door.
It's quarter past two when Jo finally makes it back to the apartment.
"Hey." Dean said from the couch eating a bowl of cereal. "Where have you been?"
"Don't ask." Jo said walking into Dean's bedroom for the weekend, the green eyed man soon followed.
"Joey…"
"Not now Dean." She said very sharply. "I've been job hunting and i'm tired. Is it too much to ask for a girl to have peace and quiet!"
"You didn't ask for it. Also that's my bed."
"Well you were on mine and i'm asking for some quiet now."
"I'll be quiet if you give me your car keys." Dean said with a smirk that could only mean trouble.
"Why? Where do you want to go?"
"Out."
Jo rolled her eyes but with a huff she willingly handed over her keys.
"Thanks." Dean winked as he walked out the door.
"Don't dent my car and turn off the light please!"
So I think this was the shortest part of the whole story so far, sorry about that but it's been a long week and i'm getting sick and I didn't feel like editing this too much. Also this is kind of a filler chapter, big things are coming soon! Please leave your comments and review!
