"Golden Ashes: part 2"

A/N: OK! So, a few things to go over before the story proper begins, to put it simply I changed a ton of shit. Where to begin. . . if you're reading the story after September 1st then you can skip straight to the story.

Stone doesn't have a dragon or electric form anymore, he still has his cyborg parts. The being living in his head isn't called Stone anymore (because that is fucking confusing) its name is now Storm, it wasn't made by Mercer, and its origins are still unknown.

Hawk and Blake never broke up, Yang and him never got together, all of that was completely pointless and led nowhere.

Hawk and Stone are children of a new generation maiden, that's why they have their powers.

JNPR was completely erased from existence (Fuck JNPR) as well as Penny.

Stone cut off Cinder's arm and stabbed her eye out.

Finally, I swear to god I'm not full of rage and hatred, I know my author notes make it seem that way but I consider myself pretty chill. The reason I'm so in your face is that I'm done with people telling me that OCs are stupid or that mine just suck. I admit Stone was BAD, I mean OP as fuckkkkkkk, but I think I nerfed him a good amount so we're good.

Without farther adieu, enjoy!

Hawk's point of view

I fell back to the ground. The Stampede had escaped and the injured would be tended to but Stone was now a prisoner, I intended to free him. As I landed the grass and leaves below my feet turned to ash, the small puddles in the ground started to boil.

Adam Taurus and his men, what was left of them, were staring at me; every motion made them flinch, every deep breath made them tense up, and every one of them were shaking. "Taurus, give up the girl and you men make it out of here alive!" I bellowed. His men tensed up and took a few steps back, getting me in their sights as they did so.

"What If I don't? We beat your friends, I completely humiliated the Schnee, and you have the gall to threaten me?" he held up. . . Weiss' braid. . .

I pointed the top of my mace at the nearest Fang and pulled the trigger, his head was swiftly removed from his shoulders. The remaining White Fang opened up on me, aiming for my chest. Adam pulled out his sword and smirked, beginning toward me. I gripped my mace with both hand and brought it down on the ground, the earth quaked and fire erupted from beneath the henchmen.

Adam stumbled didn't fall, he rushed me and slashed. I was barely able to deflect the blow, he cut my left pauldron in half. I Yanked off the pauldron and threw it at him, he swatted it aside.

He was good, very good, I see why he's the leader of the Fang. I pulled another ball out of one of my pouches and went to load it but Adam didn't give me the time, he rushed me again and slashed at my legs. My armor took the brunt of the hit but he carved off a chunk of my left boot as he passed. I span on my heel and planted the end of my mace in the back of his head, he went tumbling end over end.

I walked over to where he was laying, dropping my mace along the way. I grabbed Adam by the throat and held him in the air, "Last chance Taurus, show me where she went or die." I punched him in the gut to emphasize the point.

"And take that stupid thing off." I grabbed his mask and tore it off, crushing it in my hand. He wasn't a bad looking guy, all things considered, and it was kind of startling how bright and blue his eyes were.

"Fine, I'll tell you. If you want to catch up then you better hurry, her boat will be leaving in two days, if you don't want to lose your friend forever then you be at Brock's port by then." He spat on my helmet.

"I can't trust your word. You're going to take me there, if that woman isn't there when we arrive your head comes off." I dropped him. He coughed heavily on all fours, it was pitiful sight. Adam retrieved what remained of his sword, "If I'm taking you all the way to the shore then I'll need a means of defending myself." He said, knowing I would object, I simply nodded and motioned for him to walk.

The Stampede was too far away contact and getting back to Vale would take too long, I was going to have to rescue Jacob myself. Taurus might be an unhinged psychopath but he wasn't stupid, he knows his life was on the line. He kept his sword sheathed and stayed well in front of me as we walked.

What has happened to you Cole, Jacob has been taken hostage before and you didn't lose your mind like you did back there, what's changed? Well, I guess I have, we both have. Jake and I have people we actually care about now, people we want to protect with our lives, I can't imagine what would happen to Ruby if Jake was gone.

God dammit girls, why did you make us both such softies?

"So, this is how Blake's white knight acts? He kills when he doesn't get his way." Adam chuckled, "Like you're one to talk. You're never getting Blake back, she will die before that happens."

Adam stopped in his tracks, span on his heel, and tilted his head, "What makes you think I want her back?"

His question caught me off guard, "Isn't that why you won't leave us alone, why you keep asking about her?" is asked him. "I don't want Blake back, she betrayed us, I want to kill her. The only reason we keep chasing you is because you're the biggest threat to our plans." He turned back and started walking again.

"And what are your plans?" I asked, "Yes, just let me explain to you all of our plans in great detail. I won't tell you that for obvious reasons, I can tell you that I have made it my mission to liberate and unite the faunus people. I want to kick the human race off its pedestal and make it bow to the faunus, Salem will help us wipe all of you out and then we will be given rule over the kingdoms of Remnant." He made a fist.

"I don't know who *Salem* is but that won't happen. Vale and Vacuo already accept the faunus and things are starting to change in Mistral too. When Weiss takes over the Schnee Dust Company she promised that she would stop faunus labor, things are changing Adam, just give it time. Oh, and that reminds me." I punched him in the back of the head, "That's for Weiss!"

He growled and spun around, shattered blade out, and went for my throat. I Grabbed his hand and bent it backward, forcing him to one knee.

"Some hero you are, abusing a prisoner. On second thought, you're no hero, I've never seen you save anyone not on your team. You hunters are supposed to protect the weak but you act more like a soldier, in fact your whole group is militaristic. You don't defend anyone but yourselves, you're selfish, the only person I've seen defend anyone is Stone. I was going to strike down a worthless human but he threw himself in harms way to defend the worm. He threw himself in the way of a rocket for that girl in red and lost an arm, he's a hero, and the funny part is he's one loss of a loved one away from becoming me." He smiled wickedly.

"What did humanity do to you Adam, what could have possibly drove you to this." I questioned him, releasing his hand.

"My mother was the personal servant of a human, he raped her, when she found out she was pregnant she ran away from him. I put on that mask because I was born with his hideous eyes, I- I hate them."

I was speechless, "Why tell me all of this?" his aura began to glow red.

"Because if you kill me then today then at least someone will have known the truth."

Before I could reply I started to smell smoke and hear howls, we ran out of the forest to a clearing. There was a village about a mile ahead; it had a wall of stone at least fifteen feet high surrounding it, it seemed like more of a city then a village. What I assumed to be the capital building, or something of the sort, rested at the top of a hill. We found a path that looked like it would lead into the city, a sign on the side read, "Welcome to the faunus city of Whiterun. Humans may not pass this point."

Adam laughed to himself, "How does it feel Hawk? Not so fun when you're the one not allowed inside."

I saw something that made my blood run cold; well, a lot of things, a lot of very bad things. As we got closer the army of Grimm attempting to storm the gates came into view, a band was warriors were attempting to hold the gates but they were failing to stem the tide.

Only twelve or so warriors remained; three archers were on the wall above while nine were holding the line. I estimated there were about twenty Beowolves, thirty Creeps, ten Ursa, and an eleven-foot-tall Gorgon. . .

"The city will be slaughtered. . ." Adam gritted his teeth, "Adam give me hilt and what's left of your blade." I commanded. He did as I requested, with minor hesitation, handing me his broken weapon. I put the two halves of his blade together and heated up my palm, the blade melded back together. "It won't be as strong but you are going to need it, let's go save your people."

We cut our way into the horde, sending Grimm flying in every direction. I couldn't use my phoenix ability while facing the city or hitting it, I had to do this by hand. I started with the Creeps, easily sending them flying as they rushed me.

The Gorgon had seen the threat and turned its attention to me. The ten snake bodies attached to the beast's head shot toward me, mouths open wide, fangs extended. As the snakes reached me I swung my mace and coughed four or so of them, I could hear the crunch as their heads caved in.

I had taken out four but the other six reached me; one caught my helmet in its mouth, one my left arm, one my right arm, left and right legs, and two had wrapped around my torso.

I could smell the stench of death from the Grimm's mouth. The one around bit down and one of the fangs penetrated my visor, breaking the right half.

No, I couldn't die here, I still had to save Stone, I still had to make it back to Blake, I'm not dying here.

The fang turned to ash as I lit myself ablaze, the appendages wrapped around me disintegrated, and the Gorgon wailed a deafening cry. It lashed out with its claws, swiping at me. Now in full phoenix mode, I dashed under the attack and landed at the base of the beast's torso. I pointed my mace up and put all my energy into it, a beam of fire erupted from the tip and went into the face of the Grimm.

To my surprise, the Grimm didn't die. Half of the Gorgon's mask was gone, along with it's face underneath, but the fire didn't go all the way through. The Gorgon bellowed even louder and shot for the tree line, the rest of the Grimm following their leader.

I suddenly felt extremely feint, my fire extinguished itself and I fell my knees. Looking down, I could see there was a cut above my right knee, purple ooze dripping out of it. "Poison" I gasped, before passing out.

A/N: Ok this chapter wasn't as long as I want them to be but I needed to switch perspectives for this to work and I want to stop switching halfway through chapters. Hope you're enjoying the story!
