THE CHANGE

LPOV:

"Lauren."

"Lauren...wake up." I jump awake and find Jen looking down at me.

"What's up?" I ask looking around my bedroom that is pitch black. I feel Bo behind me wiggle slightly but not wake.

"It's time." She whispers before heading out the room.

I sit up and look over to the clock on the bed side table, it's just after 3am. I have a quick stretch before turning around to my sleeping wife. "Bo." I whisper giving her a gentle shake a couple of times.

"Yeah." She whispers opening her eyes slightly.

"It's happening." She's then wide awake when those words come out my mouth.

"What should I do?"

"You and Lily just stay up here." I tell her taking a quick glance at our baby who is fast asleep in her travel cot. "Don't come outside till we say though."

"Okay." Bo nods giving me a kiss.

I get out of bed and make my way down the stairs. As I enter the Livingroom, I find Beth sat on the couches with a worried look on her face while staring through the front window. "Hey Beth." I greet quietly.

"Hi Dr Lewis."

"Beth." I warn playfully.

"Sorry Lauren." She smiles.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, Jen told me to stay in here. I just want her to be okay." She whispers fiddling with her hands.

"She will be." I give her a squeeze on her shoulder. "We've all been through it and were fine. But she'll need you afterwards, so don't go too far." I wink.

"I'm not going anywhere." Beth nods.

"See you soon." I make my way outside and find everyone gathered at the beginning of the forest. Liv, Jen and Kenzi stand off to the side just watching the trio on the ground.

"Just breathe baby." Sarah says holding Ivy in her arms while they sit on the floor.

"It hurts." Ivy whimpers leaning back against her mother.

"You can do it, just breathe through it." Matt says to his daughter from his position crouched next to them both.

"Hey kiddo." I smile leaning down to Ivy.

"Hi Aunty Lo." She grins through the pain.

"How you are doing?" I ask moving her hair back from her sweaty forehead. "The pain manageable?"

"Nothing I can't handle."

"That's my girl." I wince as she lets out another hiss of pain. "We're all here okay, just relax." I tell her before heading over to the girls.

"Morning." Liv nods to me before her eyes go back to Ivy. As the leader of our pack she must be feeling her wolf coming through.

"How long's she been like this?" I ask.

"An hour or so. Doesn't look like it'll be long now, minutes even." Jen says. I look up and see the moon shining down on us with a completely clear sky.

Ivy lets out another groan of pain and I see Kenzi flinch. No matter how long it's been you never forget the pain of your first change. "Let's do this." Liv tells us all before taking her clothes off. We all quickly strip off, throw our clothes to the side and quickly shift into our Lycans. When the moon is full it's always easiest to shift, our Lycans happily burst through our skin. I stretch my large paws across the floor and breath in the strong scent of the forest.

I look back over to Ivy and see Sarah detach herself from her shaking daughter. Ivy doubles over in pain and scratches at the dirt under her fingers. "Oh God." She cries out in agony while gripping her stomach.

"Relax Ivy." Sarah tells her daughter while walking back slightly.

"Mum, help me." Ivy begs. Sarah goes towards her daughter but is held back by Matt. Ivy cries out for a little while longer before she stops, quickly after I hear the sound of her clothes starting to rip, then suddenly, a grey wolf, with golden eyes is in front of us all.

"Eyes like her parents." Kenzi coos through the link.

"Can you hear me Ivy." Liv asks.

Ivy's wolf looks up at us startled and staggers backwards with a whimper. "It's alright Ivy, it's us." Jen says soothingly. Ivy continues to whimper and her eyes shift around, looking for some sort of escape.

"Ivy." Sarah whispers slowly walking towards her daughter. "It's me baby. Can you relax for us?" Ivy whips her head towards her parents and stares at them for a few seconds. "It's mama." Sarah whispers.

Ivy stares for a few seconds before letting out a happy yap and trotting over to Sarah. "Mum." We all hear her shout happily through the pack link. Ivy nudges her large head against Sarah. "I did it."

"Well done Ivy." Jen says

"Holy shit that's weird." Ivy laughs jogging over to us. "This is so cool, I feel like a super hero." She says jumping slightly on her 4 paws.

I hear the sound of tearing and see Sarah and Matt both changing into their Lycans. With all of us changed Ivy can get a good look at her new pack, obviously she's been a part of this pack all her life but it's a completely different feeling with you have your change and the complete feel of belonging runs through you.

"How do you feel baby girl?" Matt asks nudging his daughter.

"Amazing."

"Well how about we give your legs a stretch." Liv suggests.

"Oh yes." Kenzi agrees giving her legs a stretch.

"I've always wanted to run with you guys."

"Well now's your chance kid, lets go." I say making my way deeper to the forest.

The seven of us start jogging, slowly picking up pace with every step. I see Kenzi run past me with Ivy hot on her heels. "Try and keep up kid." Kenzi laughs.

"Will do." Ivy says speeding straight past Kenzi.

"What the hell." Kenzi whines as Ivy leaves us all behind.

"She's a new wolf and a lot younger than all us Kenzi, of course she'll be much faster." Jen laughs.

"No fair." Kenzi says trying to keep up with Ivy.

We all run around the wood for a few hours, letting Ivy get used to her Lycan form and showing and telling her all the cool things she can do now she's part of the pack, and I must say our girl has taken to it as a duck to water. Ivy really is going to be an incredible member. The sun starts to peak over the hills when we all decide that it's time to head back.

"What about our clothes?" Ivy asks when we reach the cabin.

"We left some out, just go behind that tree." Sarah tells her.

We all break off and change into the shorts and t-shirts that have been left out. As much as I love being in my Lycan form, it's always nice to be back as a regular old human. "Honey we're home." Liv calls out opening the front door.

I see Beth jump up from the couch when she spots Ivy. "You're okay." She grins before jumping into her arms.

"I'm fine." Ivy grins holding onto Beth tightly.

"I was so worried." She mumbles into Ivy's shoulder.

"Worried about me." Ivy scoffs. "Nothing can take me down baby." She grins putting Beth down. They both look at each other for a few moments before Beth grabs Ivys neck and pulls her in for a deep kiss.

"WOOOOO." Kenzi cheers.

"Okay then." Matt says heading into the kitchen with Sarah.

"Get a room you two." Liv says.

They both pull back from the kiss with red covering their cheeks, but I spot Ivy with the most love struck look on her face. I guess that answers the question about if Beth was Ivys mate. "Come get some breakfast when you're ready." Jen tells them grabbing Kenzi and Liv and dragging them into the kitchen.

I pat Ivy on the shoulder and send Beth a wink while following everyone else into the kitchen. "Mama." Lily calls from her high chair when I enter the kitchen.

"There's my baby girl. What have you got there?" I ask walking over to her.

"Yum." She says holding up part of her pancake.

"Oooh lovely can I have some?" I ask opening my mouth.

"No." She says shovelling it into her own mouth.

"You cheeky girl." I say tickling her little belly.

"No mama." Lily giggles trying to squirm away from me.

"Okay, okay. You eat your food baby." I give her a kiss and head over to the stove where my beautiful wife is flipping more pancakes. "Hello Mrs Lewis." I whisper in her before kissing her neck.

"Good morning." Bo grins turning her head and kissing me. "Breakfast is almost done, just doing the last of the pancakes."

"You're the best." I groan smelling all the food.

I join the pack at the table and pull a seat out for Bo as she brings the last stack of huge pancakes. "Yesss." Kenzi moans already filling up her plate.

"Thank you, baby." I give Bo a quick kiss before copying Kenzi.

"Well Beth helped." Bo says as the two love birds come back into the kitchen.

"Thank you, Beth." Everyone echoes.

"No problem." She mumbles keeping her head down, obviously still feeling quite shy about her kiss earlier.

"My God I'm starving." Ivy groans filling up her plate the most.

"Get used to it kid." I laugh with everyone nodding in agreement.
