"While we have our dinner, I need to explain something to you, Tsuna - Kenichi included. As for now, let's catch dinner!" The elder said.

All of them (including Reborn – since when has he not been interested) went back to their camp and sat down around the fire, roasting the fish.

"Elder, what did you want to tell us?" Tsuna asked curiously.

"Eh? Was I supposed to tell you something? Oh, right, I was. Wait…what was I supposed to talk about?" The elder asked, scratching his head, laughing.

Both Tsuna and Kenichi fell onto the ground anime-style, before getting up after 3 seconds.

"Yes, yes. I remember now. I wanted to talk about Sei and Dou."

"Sei and Dou?" Tsuna asked.

"A Sei type martial artist hides his intention to fight. And focuses on sensing his/her environment, and then releases it quickly in response to danger. It basically means that this type of martial artist fights not with power or anger, but with talent, skills, and wit."

"What about a 'Dou martial artist'?" Kenichi asked.

"A Dou type martial artist uses his/her anger to exceed his/her limits. As such, they tend to be aggressive in combat, and very rarely stray from the offensive. In some cases, they are even bestial after receiving intense emotional pain and frustration. The users seem to rely heavily on instincts and brute strength when fighting. Dou fighters have a technique for reading the opponent's movements which relies on exciting themselves. However, Dou types are more prone to move onto the path of Asura - the killing path, because they fight with anger, and can hardly control themselves when fighting." The elder explained once more.

"What about Katsujinkan and Satsujinkan?" Reborn asked.

"So you've heard about that." The elder mused.

"I do my research." Reborn said slyly.

"Katsujinken (活人拳) literally means the 'Fist of Life', the practitioners of these beliefs believe that killing is not the right path as that leads to the Path of the Asura. They believe in saving others, rather than killing them. Whereas Satsujinken (殺人拳) literally means the 'Fist of Killing', the practitioners of these beliefs believe that killing the opponent is the best way to use their martial arts skills." The elder explained.

"So, Sei type martial artists believe in Katsujinken, and Dou type martial artists believe in Satsujinken?" Tsuna asked.

"No, it doesn't work that way. Apachai-shishou (master) and Sakaki-shishou are Dou types." Kenichi argued.

"Indeed, as Kenichi has mentioned, not all Dou types believe in Satsujinken. Sakaki, Apachai and even Miu are Dou types, but they are able to uphold the principles of Katsujin-ken due to their own natural sense of kindness." The elder elaborated.

"So, what type of martial artist am I? I do focus on sensing my surroundings before releasing it quickly in response to danger. But I do rely on my instincts and also become 'bestial' in a way after receiving emotional pain." Tsuna was curious; he didn't seem to fit exactly into either Sei or Dou type.

"It is rumored that there are individuals who had mastered the principles formed together to perfect a martial art that utilizes both Sei and Dou. Though the process was difficult, their work was fruitful. Sei Dou allows a person to go beyond conventional martial arts by utilizing both principles instead of just one. Though, that was quite some time ago." Reborn informed.

[A/N: The info on the 'Sei Dou' is from a Naruto forum thingy – idk how to describe it. It's just from .com, so just search around for it there if you're interested. All the other info is from .com and the part on Katsujinken and Satsujinken is from another forum, /forum – search around for it. I can't give you the full address cuz somehow or other, might change it or something. Anyways, you can always Google it – so just do that.]

"So I'm a Sei Dou type? But I haven't perfected a martial art that uses both Sei and Dou…" Tsuna was very curious – what type was he? Was he the Sei Dou type? Or maybe he was just the Sei type. Then again, he had some principals – as Reborn put it – that belonged to a Dou type martial artist. It was just so confusing!

"The martial art has already been perfected - it is called 'Seidou Goei'. It is a dangerous technique from the Ancient Martial Arts; Seidou Goei combines the opposing ki of both Sei and Dou, by having the first being focused inward, while having the second explode outward. The result is an explosive boost in all of the user's physical capabilities and increased effectiveness in the user's martial arts techniques. However due to the conflicting nature of the ki of Sei and Dou, extensive use of this technique causes a disruption in one's flow of ki resulting in crippling, even fatal damage to the user." The elder said darkly.

Tsuna shivered slightly.

"Then Tsuna needs to learn how to master it." Reborn concluded.

"It is said that if one manages to regain control over their ki, they can reverse the physical damage caused by this technique. In order to use this technique without the devastating side effects, the user must keep their emotions under a very tight control." The elder explained once more.

"Is there anything that can rival it? Is there any technique like it, but safer?" Tsuna asked meekly.

Reborn kicked Tsuna in the head, before proceeding to call him a wimp and telling him to man up.

"Actually, there is. It is the advanced level of the Seikuken – 'Ryuusui Seikuken'. Instead of extending the radius of the Seikūken, Ryuusui Seikuken turns that principle inward, reducing it to a thin layer above the skin to dodge the opponent's attacks at the last possible second. This principle is necessary because dodging at the final moment before an attack hits saves time and energy. The key is to mount an offence in between an opponent's attacks, which requires a great deal of precision and timing. And an absolutely calm mind is necessary into use it, as even a slight degree of emotion will disrupt the technique." The elder explained about the technique.

"It seems to be similar to Seidou Goui." Reborn stated flatly.

"It may be so, in a way. However, the user is the one that makes the technique effective or not. It's all about the heart the person has. What kind of person he/she is depends on the heart. Having a strong heart is very important. So let's start training that before we talk about the more advanced techniques." The elder suggested, laughing.

That eased the tense atmosphere immediately and they all went to bed.

In Tsuna and Reborn's tent (there are two tents):

"Dame-Tsuna, you're going to have to learn both. Remember, control your emotions." Reborn warned before immediately sleeping when his head hit the pillow.

"Eh?! *sigh* I'm just going to focus on training my heart first." Tsuna said, before drifting off to sleep.

In the Elder's and Kenichi's tent:

"Training will start tomorrow. You will be in charge of the meals. Both you and Tsuna will be learning Ryuusui Seikuken after completing your Seikuken training." The elder announced before snoring – signaling that he was asleep.

"Ah…I wonder if Tsuna will be training to do the Seidou Goui – hopefully he won't die or anything. *sigh* I'll have to keep catching fish for the next few days." Kenichi mumbled, grumbling slightly before falling asleep as well.
