Chapter 25

"I will never die, Weaver. I will never die!"

"Your flames will dwindle and burn out. You're fire is nothing but a flick in the night."

Kohaku blinked and the memory faded from his thoughts. Each step brought more memories back that brought him back to that day. In the final moments between the of the Order of Sun and Moon when they fought him, he began to wake and could see their soldiers falling to his army. Shinji, the mightiest and most devoted faller of the Sun, fell at the final battle that made them weak. When Shinji fell, the Order of the Sun grew desperate and fearful of the Order of the Moon. They felt that it their sister Order was going to turn on them and destroy them.

While the others were blind to Kohaku's problem, Naruto watched as the man suffered in the sins of his past. With each step they took a little more of his past was unraveled. In one eye he saw the final fight against their strongest warriors. The Twilight Knights fell to the mages of the Order of the Sun. Their warriors fell to Kohaku's dark army. In the final battle against the Order of the Moon, Kohaku slew the Order and of the Moon's greatest warrior, Maria, the Awoken One. She alone woke him during the fight and allowed him to retreat at the cost of her life. She died from her wounds sustained in their fight. Her greatest weapon was not in her destructive magic, but her healing magic. She saved him, waking him early from the grasp of the Dreamer and allowed him to escape. Kohaku dreamed many times of the day he slaughtered their people.

"You okay?" Naruto slowed down and walked beside him. Kohaku nodded wordlessly. "Is it hard? I mean… to come back here?"

"Much has changed. The land shifted but my memories of that day stay the same." Kohaku pointed to something in the distance. It was a patch of trees that were ten stories tall. "The land changed a lot without its keepers to tend to it, but I can still see the castle that was built by those that were cut from the Sun and the Moon. They were the first line of defense against all approaching armies. Their might was unlike any other. They kept this land clean and tended to. There was no overgrowth like there is now. And I don't see the structures anymore. I wonder if they burned them all away after their defeat."

Naruto tried to picture the castle he spoke of and a group of warriors strong enough to turn back armies. He only saw Pantheon's tribe. Perhaps they were the warriors he spoke of?

"Over there," Kohaku pointed to the city where they were heading, "the gates were golden and the walls built higher. There was a pathway that led from the castle to their main village. The walls were mounted with their best archers, though many tried to be as good as Savona, the Veil Piercer. She was the Order of the Moons' greatest archer. She pierced the veil of the future and saw only death. She took a vow of silence when the war began. Her final words were to an unknown person. She told the stranger that her final vision was that of the man who would move Heaven and Earth for the one he loved."

"What does that mean?"

Kohaku shrugged. "No one knows what she meant. I doubt that even the Warrior of Eternity could do what she did." Kohaku stopped and looked to the west. His eyes hardened and he felt a great sense of fear pulse through him. "I remember standing here. I stood here and watched as they slaughtered one another in the end. I had pulled my army back and butchered them all because I wanted to try and forget what I had done. I hated myself." Naruto looked over the forest and tried to see what his friend was seeing. "I wonder what would have happened if both sides stayed together to fight me in the end. I wonder…if I might have been lucky enough to die."

"Don't talk like that." Naruto started walking again. "What's done is done. You can't change the past. You can only hope to change the future now by your actions for today." Ahri and Jax stopped and shouted for them to get a move on. "Kohaku, I was ordered to find the cause of the power that appeared her. I wasn't ordered to do anything with it. I'll leave it up to you to decide what happens to it." Putting his hands in his pockets, Naruto started walking again. Kohaku followed a couple of minutes later. He remained looking over the forest and seeing visions of fire again.

Karma wondered through her home with a sour expression. She already received news from Shen that Naruto had gone off on a job rather than come back home. She hoped he would speak sense into Lee Sin, but that wasn't going to happen. While she was happy that Naruto was gone, she was worried that he might make a hard turn and go after Noxus. Or he would just make things worse and go after Katarina to demand answers. So far she hadn't received word of the latter happening, which did give her some hope, but that still left Noxus in the firing squad for the blond. If he wanted to burn their city to the ground, there wasn't much anyone could do to stop him, less they had a way to ensnare him and trap him while also nullifying the Kyuubi's power.

A desire to be closer to her adopted son drew her to his room. With Ahri away with him, she worried that he might go to the extreme with protecting her. She understood they were going to Mt. Targon, a place that Naruto was not welcomed. With Ahri in tow and Jax along for the ride as well, there was no doubt that a fight would start. It was only a matter of time before she caught wind of it.

Karma sat on his bed and smiled at the presents that had already gathered to next to his dresser. Lee Sin was the first to bring him something. Maybe that should have been a clue to the monks' intentions. There were gifts from Soraka, Akali, Kennen, Shen, Irelia, and other friends Naruto had made throughout his missions. Annie brought the last gift when she found out it was his birthday. Karma was reluctant to admit that Naruto might not be home for a bit, but promised her that she would make him wait to open his gift when she was around.

On one of the presents was a letter. Karma grew curious and looked at it. It was written in Naruto's language. She traced the lettering and sounded it out. She hadn't seen his writing in years, but she remembered a good deal of it. "Friend…" Karma traced the next word and came up blank with it. The closes translation was, "Find me," but she doubted that was accurate. She reached to open it, pulled back, and walked out. Someone was reaching out to him. She wasn't going to pry.

Karma shut the door softly and put her back to it. Are we growing apart, Naruto? You chase something you can't have. It's not fair to us. You bring us happiness and fight for us because you care for us. And yet, you intend to leave us one day to return to a world where violence and death is normal like the rising of the sun. A world without Naruto was a world of coldness and sorrow. Karma put too much time into him, spent too much time with him. Now, if he left, she felt cold and alone. He was her adopted son and she couldn't stand the thought of him leaving her.

"Uzumaki Naruto… Why are you here?"

Naruto put a fake smile on for Pantheon's most trusted and loyal guards. Pantheon spoke highly of them. They were the second best next to him. They were strong, fast, smart, swift, and brave. They were natural leaders. But, that said, they also suffered a defeat to Naruto during his last mission here and it was still fresh in their minds. A single man taking on a hundred of their finest warriors and coming out on top was so mind boggling that it wasn't possible. Naruto did it without using clones. They still carried the wounds like badges from the fight.

Holding up the official document for his mission, he forked it over and wondered silently to himself if they could read at all. A quick skim and they shoved it back to him. "Take me to the spot where the energy appeared."

"It's off limits." Naruto wagged the paper back and forth. The tallest one ripped it up. "The League's authority doesn't reach out here. This is our land. Not theirs. If they want to have any right in having a word around here, they'll have to fight us to prove their worth. And none of your friends are entering unless they can beat us."

'

Naruto blinked. Jax stepped forward, ready to take them on. "I'm down," he said with a spark of joy in his voice. "Just don't go crying to Mantheon when I bash your heads in."

"HOW DARE YOU MOCK HIM?"

"Jax," Naruto's voice was calm and there was an edge of annoyance. "We know you can beat them. You were here for my last job." Jax still looked ready to fight. "How about you fight two people you haven't fought before? You can fight Ahri and Kohaku. You've never faced them and they're in a call all their own."

Ahri smiled seductively towards the two men. Neither of them so much as flinched or melted upon seeing her gaze. "We don't fight women. They're worthless as fighters."

Ahri's smile turned sour and fired formed around her. Her hands twitched and her expression turned to an annoyed expression. Clearly they didn't considered Leona a good fighter while she wasn't around. Or it was just their personal opinion. Ahri lunged at the closes one but Naruto grabbed the back of her collar and watched as she comically walked in place while yelling curses to the two.

Kohaku uncrossed his arms and stepped forward. The two Spartans never saw it coming. He dropped one in a shadow and summoned the shadow of its friends to crush him. It was over in the blink of an eye. The second was thrown from a shadow and landed in a heap on the ground twitching and crying. Ahri stopped and gawked as Kohaku kept walking, avoiding the whispers of the people around him. When he didn't feel his friends coming, he turned and looked to them. "I beat them. So we've gained entrance to their place, yes?" Naruto let Ahri go and started walking. Jax gave the crying one a good kick by faking a trip.

Ahri followed, but not before kicking the other man in the nuts for his words. She knelt down and flicked his nose while saying, "For the record; I can fight, and you're lucky Kohaku got to you first," before kicking him in the nuts again and walking off. "So what are we looking for?"

Naruto rummaged through his pack for the device while saying, "Probably an area that was destroyed or something like that." The people gave them a wide birth as they walked the streets. Kohaku was once again drawn to his old memories. Naruto slowed and waited for him to speak. When Kohaku remained silent, Naruto sighed and asked, "Has this place changed at all?"

Kohaku shook his head. "Yes. It's not the place I remember. Perhaps with the death of Shinji, the Sun's Fury, they lost their faith and their way. I sense so few people that have harnessed the power of the Sun. Perhaps my attack all those years ago did destroy both." Naruto put a hand on his friends' shoulder and shook him slightly, as if hoping to shake him out of his funk. Kohaku brushed him off. "I wish it had been stronger back then. None of this would have happened."

Nodded, Naruto looked at Ahri and said, "She used to be a Fox," to Kohaku. He nodded like he had already known that. Perhaps he did. "She took power from a dying mage on a battlefield in Ionia. We met; I punched her out, and then took her to Karma. She used to eat mice when she was younger. Used to dig up the garden to hunt the other rodents. She never once thought twice about using people to get what she wanted either. She used wanted to become completely human, but as time went on, she learned that her actions carried a price. Now she wants to be human, but wants to attain it another way. Her method was taking human essence."

"She stole the very soul from humans?" Kohaku stood a little straighter. "She almost sounds like two great hunters from my childhood. One was an archer in white with a black mask. The other, a faithful black dog that chased down what ran from her. Together they killed children that didn't go to sleep at night. My mother used to tell me that story when I wanted to stay up and look at the stars."

"So what Order did they belong to?"

"They didn't have one. That's why I say it was a story."

"But every story, every legend or myth, it has some grain of truth to it." Jax called out. He stopped and pointed his weapon to Kohaku. "I get that this place is tied to you. I can see it in your eyes. When were first met you didn't have a care in the world to what was happening around you. Now everytime I look at you, you're zoning out like you're remembering a bad kiss or something." Ahri snickered at the thought of a bad kiss being on someone's mind. "So what's your story? I mean, how did you and Naruto met? I know how we met. And I know how he met Ahri."

Naruto was about to wave the comment off until Ahri answered Jax. "He's the one that was possessed and attacked the people in the Voodoo Lands. Naruto stopped him and returned him to normal." Groaning, Naruto was about to ask how she even knew that when it hit him. "Annie told me. She told me about how you fought against him and his army and won." Kohaku blinked and tried to remember Annie. Jax looked between the two and started walking again. Ahri put her hands on her hips as she said, "If you ever turn into a threat to Naruto, I will rip your soul from your body." She tapped his chest and walked away popping her hips.

Scratching his head, Naruto chuckled and said, "Between the two of them, she's more protective of me because I'm her older brother figure."

"I understand."

They caught up to the other two and soon were at their destination. Guards were posted around the building and not letting anyone in. A quick flash of the paperwork and they were more than willing to part and allow them entrance. At the heart of the building there was a crater. The ceiling had been blown out. There were outlines of bodies on the ground where a blast of heat and marked their deaths. Blood was still being cleaned from the walls from where the slaughter had taken place. Ahri turned her noise up at the whole room and its smell. Jax looked around and felt only annoyance.

Removing the device from his pack, Naruto began messing with it before shaking his head and putting it up. "Well that was easy. Now I just have to give this to the Institute and we can call this a day." Kohaku walked to the center and put his real hand on the ground. Naruto walked over to him and knelt down. "What's up?"

Kohaku looked up at the ceiling. Jax pointed to it and then the debris around the area. "The blast was on the roof so it was blown in by something. But what has enough force out here to do that and then this?" Jax waited for someone to speak. Kohaku stood up and walk forward. "Any of you got any ideas?"

"I could do it." Naruto put his hands in his pocket and waited for Jax to dispute that. Ahri kept her thoughts to herself on the matter. Naruto looked at Kohaku and stopped at a bookshelf and began to rummage through the books. "Is something wrong?"

Kohaku snapped the book shut and looked back to the ceiling. "This power belongs to someone who cut themselves from the Sun and chose protection by the Moon." He walked past the group and started looking through all the other books that were scattered around the floor. Guards entered and tried to assist. Kohaku stopped his hunting and approached them. "This power is old and its wielder young. Has there been anyone of rightful age to cut their ties from the Sun?"

"No one I know comes to mind. I do not follow the Sun. I follow only the blade and the art of killing and war." Kohaku stood a little straighter. "What you speak of is beyond my knowledge. Perhaps you could speak with the surviving Elder. We took him to the healers to mend his wounds. Perhaps he will know more."

"You are just a simple warrior? I thought one such as you would be higher?" Kohaku waved him off and returned to his group. "The caste system is different for them now. But I must speak with this Elder."

"Why? We have what we came for. Why not leave?" Ahri looked to the men around them. They all moved with purpose and worked diligently to clean up the crime scene. "And what did you mean by that? Pantheon's tribe has always been this way. The Rakkor live and breathe for war."

"I do not know what you speak of. I remember only that the Order of the Sun once held mighty warriors, but I do not remember them going by name." Kohaku looked to the men and wondered if he had missed something while he attacked them as the Dreamer's General. Perhaps he had. "In any case, I need to speak with the Elder."

"Then let's go. I know where the healers live." Naruto grabbed his friends' shoulder and said, "I'd be willing to bet that if this person is what you and I are thinking it is, then chances are they're going to kill it. They nearly killed Leona a long time ago when she refused to kill her friend during the Rite of Kor. She refused to kill him."

"How did they fall so far?" Kohaku followed. Ahri and Jax trailed behind.

There was a time when our two sides worked in unison to protect the other. Then a war happened between us and a dark army. Diana flipped through the pages of the journal. She hoped it would provide more answers to her burning questions. She had cared very little for the power of the Sun. When she found this place she had become happy and proudly showed her findings to the Elders. They shunned her and when she was going to be executed, it happened. A power unlike anything she had ever felt came pouring out of her. In her anger she slew the Elders and left before anyone could stop her.

She hoped for more answers in the diaries and books she was able to salvage for the land. Each book told the story of a warrior that was granted power from either the Sun, the Moon, or the stars. Each warrior was unique and never the same. Though many had carried the mantle of their titles before and after their time, none were the same. Shinji, commonly refered to as the Sun Raiser, was the proudest, strongest, and most devoted warrior to the Sun. He gained powers that the people of Solaria could only hope to achieve.

There was Savona, the Veil Piercer, an archer of the Moon whose very arrows were said to never miss and pierce even the toughest of stone. Her brother, Saito, a Twilight Knight, carried the sharpest blade and the sharpest mind. His blade was so sharp that it cut through stone. It was by his blade and her arrow that the Valley of Twilight even existed. With one arrow she blasted a hole in the mountain. With one swing of his sword he cut open the path she created and sliced the valley into existence. How these two warriors fell, she did not know. But their power was given to them by the Moon.

There were others in each of the books. Maria, the Awoken One, was one of power unlike the others. With one hand she could pull the dead from the abyss and with the other she could destroy all of creature. Her power was only outmatched by her kindness. Her final moments were written in a book. She told the story of a man whose existence was full of pain and sorrow. Her story was moving and sad. She died with a pen in her hand and a message left covered in blood.

"He walks with us…" She ran a hand over the spackle of blood and gently shut the book. There was one thing the book mentioned in detail. There was a city created by the people who worshipped the moon. They paid tribute to a Spirit that watched over them. This Spirit was powerful and righteous. Whoever this Spirit was, found shelter in a city nearby. Diana had hunted for days for the place, but eventually decided that it was nothing but a story.

Standing up, she popped her back and grabbed her armor. Then sun would be going down soon. No doubt Leona would be hunting her now. She could end this now. The Sun would finally fall to the Moon and the people of Mt. Targon would feel her wraith.

(-)

Kohaku and Naruto entered the medical wing where the Elder was located. Ahri and Jax remained outside. The Elder in question was an old man with both of his eyes ripped out. Naruto hadn't caught his name, and with the talk he heard earlier, he didn't much care for the man either. The damage done to him from the attack was astounding. It was a miracle he was alive. His left arm was cut off at the elbow and both of his legs had been crushed under the heavy debris. If he ever walked again it would be in another life.

"Thank you for along us to meet you." The old man smiled and nodded as best he could. They were told to keep it brief and to the point. They feared he didn't have the strength to survive another night. "This power belongs to someone who cut themselves from the Sun and chose protection by the Moon. This power is old and its wielder young. Has there been anyone of rightful age to cut their ties from the Sun?"

The man breathed deep and nodded wordlessly. For a moment he was silent as if he were trying to think about how to answer. But his face became full of rage. The healer on standby moved closer. "Her name is Diana… She's a Heretic." He took a big breathe and wheezed out a curse. "She always looked to something else… the moon… and believed in a group that followed it. We of the Rakkor and Solaria never had people to follow the Moon. She pushed us… too far. She found armor and weapons…" The old man looked to the side. His breathing became shallow. He was dying. "She follows a false idle. The Sun is the only thing worth following."

Kohaku stood up and bowed. "May you're next life be less painful and your dreams brighter." He turned and left. Naruto watched for a moment. The healer put a hand to his throat and shook her head. He was dead. Departing, Naruto walked up to his friends and caught the tail end of, "…one of the Moon Maidens."

"I'm sorry, but that's the strangest thing I think I've heard you say all day." Ahri crossed her arms and fluffed up her chest. The men presence that weren't friends all turned away with red checks. She smiled wickedly. "If what you're saying is true, then Solaria has been lying to people for over three hundred years. Maybe more…"

Jax shifted from foot to foot. "Not really surprising. History is full of liars, sweetheart. All of history is one big lie. It's written by the victor. Whether the actions were right or wrong doesn't matter to the victor. They can say and do what they want." Jax looked back at the door that shielded the dead Elder from the public. "So if what you're saying is true, that means that they're going to move against her. Try to kill her."

"Yes. We can't allow that to happen."

"Why? She's not our problem. Our job was to come here, find out what happened, and leave. I'm not risking my neck for one person that has appeared and has divine power or anything like that."

"I hate to agree with Jax, but I'm siding with him on this. What's there to gain from this? We'd be making ourselves public enemies to the Rakkor and it could come back on Ionia." Ahri's tails twitched in fear. What would Karma think if they made enemies of the Rakkor? Ionia could barely stand against Noxus. What chances did they have against the Rakkor? "I'm sorry, but it's not worth dying for."

Naruto closed his eyes. "She's alone and separated from the glory of the Sun. Now she's trying to connect to the Moon. It's said that those of her kind suffer, separated from the glory of the Moon and Sun. She needs to be shown the path and that she is never truly alone. So long as she believes, she'll understand that her warrior heart is bound by honor and tradition. I'll show here that battle is waged in the name of the many. I'll show here the bravery of her people, and her warriors, who generation after generation chose the mantle of Night Walker."

"But that has nothing to do with us." Kohaku's shoulder slumped. Ahri clenched her jaw when Naruto put his hand on his friends' shoulder. "You're siding with him?" she asked, fearful of the consequences.

"The way I see it, she needs our help." Smiling to Kohaku, Naruto nodded. "If she believes she is alone, I'll help you show her that she isn't. No one deserves to be alone."

"Karma will be angry with you if you do this!" Ahri snapped. Jax picked up his weapon and moved beside his fellow blond. "Jax?! You can't! Karma will… She'll be mad!"

"Don't worry, Ahri. I'll deal with Karma. She'll understand." Ahri seemed unconvinced. She suddenly looked so small. Naruto remembered when she had first started fighting. She was afraid and so small back then. Now she was taller, stronger, and faster. But she still feared those that saw her in the best of lights. "Ahri," Naruto put his hand on her shoulders and put his head against hers, "I know you're afraid. But being afraid is alright. Fear doesn't have to make you cruel or cowardly. No one will say anything bad against you if you don't want to do this. But you know me. You know I can't turn away when someone is suffering. I never walk away from anything or anyone in need."

"If we don't get to her, she'll become something terrible." Kohaku reached out to Ahri. His flesh arm burned brightly with white fire. Ahri looked to the others and then down at her hands. "Power is whatever anyone makes of it. Though I wield the shadows and the light as my weapon, I am a warrior of the Order of Eternity. As the sole survivor, I cannot allow her death. She must be saved at all costs and placed on the path to the Moon. Only then will she find semblance in her life."

"But this place is big," Jax pointed out. "How are we going to find her?"

"We're not," Naruto told him. He looked to Kohaku and grinned. "Kohaku will find her."

"And what are we going to do? Sit here and look pretty?" Ahri asked.

"The last time I came here they had hundreds of troops at the ready. We've only see a handful. So that means that they're looking for her as well. We're going to stop them."

"We're going to stop an army? Are you nuts?"

"This isn't the first time that we've fought an army," Jax countered. He shivered at the idea of fighting the other Rakkor fighters was something that made him excited. Pantheon was the self-proclaimed greatest warrior they had. Jax wanted to test that out for himself.

"But we're talking about an army here! Even with Naruto's replication ability, it won't matter at all! A squad of fifteen has pushed back an army of two hundred before! What hope do we have?" Ahri looked between all three men and saw only determination. She sighed and slumped her shoulders. "We're going to die here."

"No one will die tonight," Kohaku proclaimed. "I feel your power, Ahri. I've seen your power, Jax. I've felt your power, Naruto. No one will die tonight. Our power is great. Their army may be many, but they have lost their touch with the Sun in favor of blades. You will win as long as you have faith."

"Then what are we waiting around here for?" Jax and Naruto began walking towards the exit. The other two followed and walked in step with them. "We're saving the little lady and stopping an army. Won't be the first time some of us here have done that." Naruto flashed Ahri a smile and patted her head. "Don't worry… I'll protect you… always."

Her fears left her and her strength returned. Her smile became real.

(-)

Leona and Pantheon stopped when the desire to kill struck them both. The moon was the closes that either of them had seen it in a long time. And there, as if waiting for them, was Diana. Her crescent blade rested at her side. She stopped looking at the moon and gazed upon the two warriors with cold malice.

"Dawn will not come to save you, Leona. By the end of this night, you will die."

"No… Tonight is the last moon you will ever see again."

Weapons in hand, they took their stances and waited for the first to move.

A/N

Okay so someone, not sure who because they're a guest and I couldn't reply to them, said I made Kohaku stronger than Naruto in the last chapter. How…? I'm curious what that actually means. I mean if we're talking brute strength, I'm pretty sure people like Darius or Garen or Tryndamere might have him beat. If we're talking destructive powers, pretty sure people like Xerath, Syndra, or Ryze could have him beat. If we're talking about being so fast that no one can see you, pretty sure that Kennen might have him beat if his life depended on it. I mean, hell, Shen can just teleport wherever he wants! Pretty sure that beats them both. So please, tell me what you meant. Because Kohaku, yeah, he's strong, but if we're putting Naruto on his skill list, yeah, Kohaku is then stronger because Naruto doesn't have his abilities. Naruto can't summon the shadow of another person to do his bidding. That is in no way one of his abilities. He doesn't have the power to suck all of light into an orb and leave only darkness, nor can he do the reverse of that. Kohaku is, by all standards, the strongest of his people. Not Naruto's.

Now if this was confusion to the First Born Warden who is so strong she can put her shadow on the sun, turn night to day and day to night, then sure, I'll say that yeah, I made someone stronger than Naruto. And for good reason: She's older than him by centuries! We're talking a thousand years or more! And she's still alive in her own realm! But that doesn't mean that Naruto can't beat. There are people that are in their world that possess unique and albeit, overpowered abilities. In a real world situation, Aatrox can't die. He's immortal! Same with Anniva. If either of them went to Naruto's world, only sealing them away would stop them. They can't kill them! Aatrox just does his mediation thing and bam, he's on his feet. Anniva turns into an egg (I think that's just for the game) and then poof, she's a big bird again flying around making ice storms. She is the essence of winter! Let's also not forget Azir, who commands the sand, or Jax, the master at arms who has a past so mysterious that if this turned into an Anime, he'd have his own spinoff, or Soraka, who can bring people back from the dead basically! I mean really, if anyone with magical or inhuman abilities went to Naruto's world, they're obviously going to be strong in their own right. In a fight, who wins when it's Kurenai vs. LeBlanc, or Aatrox vs. Zabuza? And lets not get started with the Shadow Isles.

So really, me making Kohaku as powerful as he is, isn't a bad thing. He's not Naruto's equal if we put him on Naruto's people's power. If Naruto were to go on Kohaku's power, then yeah, Naruto is weaker. Only because he can't do the things that Kohaku can do. No one, in the history of the League game so far, has the exact same abilities. When was the last game you saw Ashe tumble and gain a next hit is a crit, or Jax rage and not die because his health won't go below 1 hp? No one has the same abilities. Kohaku vs Naruto, Naruto wins! Plan and simple. The only reason their fight as tough for Naruto was because Kohaku was possessed by a being that made him stronger! That's it. I don't wanna hear anyone else saying I made Kohaku too powerful. Get over it.

Now obviously from this chapter Naruto, Jax, and Ahri are facing an army that is supposed to be strong enough to beat back a thousand troops with just three hundred people. I'm not denying that they're strong. Anyone that lets Pantheon get two kills in the game suddenly has a spear throwing, shield bashing, curb stopping asshole as an enemy where every five seconds you're stunned, speared, and pocked to death. And Pantheon is supposed to be the strongest of them all. I'm not going to say that they're weak. By all rights, I think they're strong as hell. They're devoted to war and fight only when outnumbered. Time to see how they fair when the odds are in their favor.
