A/N: Hello people! Here's the gist: this chapter we are going to meet the Valdez family and see where Brook grew up! We hope you enjoy it!

Percy's POV (2 days since dance)

I'm so happy Brook agreed to us adopting her. She will make a great addition to our family and home. She will get the extra room in the top floor of our brick stone in New York, even though she is to be dorming in the warehouse with all the other demigods who are enrolling in school. The school is about 3 blocks from Goode and Alpine also about a block and a half away from us. Annabeth and I are going to be the 'adult supervisors' along with Malcom and Will who will be living in the dorms.

"Percy, are you all packed? We are leaving for the airport in an hour!" Annabeth calls from the bathroom grabbing her makeup bag, throwing it in her suitcase, and zips it.

"Uh yeah I'm all packed accept for one thing" I answer holding a small bag in my hand.

"Okay then lets go seaweed brain" Annabeth says grabbing most of her bags. We head out of the cabin with Brook. She heads to the Hades cabin to get Nico, while we go to the big house to meet the rest of the 7. When we enter Jason starts talking ameditally.

"I can't wait to see Leo and kick his puggle for not telling us he was alive!"

"Totally. I can't wait till I get to slap the silly impish grin off his face!" Says Piper.

"I'm guessing your talking about Leo?" Asks Brook, entering the room with Nico. I see that Nico is pulling his suitcase and holding Brooks small duffle and Brook doesn't look happy about him carrying it. She's always so reluctant for help.

"Yeah, well we're just annoyed he abandoned us for years! We are happy he's alive though." Says Hazle.

"Guys, I think we should get going." Says Frank.

Once we get to the airport I realize that Hazle, Nico, and Brook look about as happy as I feel, not happy in the slightest. We all hate flying, being that Zeus and our parents don't love each other and hate when we go into each others domains.

"I can't believe your dad is letting us borrow his jet, Pipes!" Jason says excitedly.

"Yeah well you can be excited all you want Jason," Nico says coldly. "But you don't have to worry about your dad shooting you out of his domain!" And with that Brook punches him, hard, in the arm.

"Nico! Stop freakin yelling! But, he's right Jason." Brook says.

"Sorry." Jason and Nico mumble.

Soon enough we get to security. We all start heading to the metal detectors. When it's Brook's turn she hands the officer a sheet of paper and they walk off together. I have to remember to ask her about that later. A few minutes later Brook comes back with the officer. She thanks him and walks over to where we are all waiting for her. We all just stare at her either questioningly or confusedly.

"What?" She asks evidently confused and irritated by our staring.

"Um…..Just out of curiosity, what did you give to the officer and where did you go?"Frank asks the question that is on all of our minds.

"Well to put it lightly, Leo is a horrible fisher."

"What do you mean by that?" Annabeth inquires.

"Once my mom and I went fishing with Leo and his family. Leo was casting his line for the first time ever cause he's never fished before. And well, the hook got caught in my shoulder blade. We went to the doctor and he took it out but the tip of it cracked and came off. They were unable to get it out without permanently paralyzing my arm so it's still there. I had to give the officer the doctor's note because the detector would go off. I had to take off my shirt to show him the piece and then he gave me a pat down." Brook explains.

"Can we see it!" I blurt out.

"Sure." She says and turns around. She pulls her shirt off her shoulder and Annabeth tugs it down a little. In her skin there is a scar the runs down her entire shoulder blade and we can see a small pointed triangle of metal deep in her flesh.

"Cool!" Says Nico. Brook fixes her shirt and glares at Nico with one eyebrow raised. "I mean ummmm yeah."

We all start to laugh at Nico's clumsiness.

"Good cover up bro!" I say to Nico sarcastically.

"Guys, as much a Nico getting himself into trouble with his girlfriend, but the plane is leaving in 15 minute and our pilot Many it texting me to get down there now." Piper says.

Nico's POV

We all file into the plane and I take the seat next to Brook. I take her hand and she leans her head on my shoulder. She looks out the window and we start speeding down the runway for take off. I notice that Brook is clutching my hand much tighter.

"You ok?" I ask her in a whisper.

"I've never flown before." She chokes out. Oh.

"Don't worry about it, we'll be fine. Besides, Zeus won't shoot us down for two reasons. First, his own son is on the plane. Second, he would have to deal with a bunch of angry gods for killing their kids." I say. She doesn't seem to lighten up as much as I would like her to so I lean my head down and kiss her cheek. "We'll be there in about 3 hours, sleep."

She closes her eyes. When I think shes asleep, I unbuckle and start to stand, but then I feel a hand around my wrist. I look down and she that Brook is staring at me.

"Please, stay with me." She says simply. I sit back down and put up the arm rest. Brook picks up her feet and lays down with her head in my lap.I bend down and kiss her head. I just sit there stroking her hair and eventually fall into a dreamless sleep.

"Nico, wake up." A soft voice says next to me, while gently shaking my arm. I slowly open my eyes and hiss at the bright light shining through the window and quickly shut my eyes. I hear Brook chuckle. "Come on you little vampire,open your eyes, I closed the window."

I open my eyes and see Brook's amused face.

"Sup Death Breath?" She says.

"Hey Starfish." I say back.

"We will be landing in a minute, so you need to buckle." I buckle and then I feel us starting to descend and as I do I hear Brook gasp. I chuckle and hold her closer and she closes her eyes tightly and draws her arms to my chest.

Then we finally touch down back to solid ground. We all shoot out of our seats and get our bags. We leave the plane and go to pick up where Leo is going to meet us. After a while of searching we see a man, a few feet from us, holding a sign the says 'The 7 minus Leo, plus Brook and Nico.' We all lurch forward to run to but Brook puts up her hand signaling for us to stop, so we do. She starts walking towards Leo and when she gets there he grins. She slaps him across the face so hard you can hear it from where we're standing. The minute she slaps him we start to walk towards them cause now that we know he's alive we would rather not have Brook kill him.

"I missed you to Brook." Leo says and scoops Brook up and gives her a huge hug. She hugs back tightly and we can all see the tears that run down both of their faces. When then pull apart he looks at us and gives us his famous grin.

"Hey guys." He says.

Hey guys! We hope you like it so far. Get ready, cause Leo's back!
