A/N: It's me again…

Manor, Phoebe's Bedroom 11:30am

"Why haven't you healed her yet?" Phoebe asked, an edge of panic in her voice.

"It's not that easy, Phoebe." Leo said with sad eyes before turning to Paige. "Could you please get a bowl of warm water and a cloth, we're going to need it." Paige nodded once before swiftly leaving the room. Leo took a shaky breath before turning to the young, mangled witch on the bed. "We can heal you, but because some of your bones were broken badly enough to become lodged out of place we need to realign them first so that they heal properly and in the right place. There is no easy way to say this but… This is going to hurt… A lot…"

"F-figured… As m-much…" Billie wheezed, her voice even raspier than it was at magic school.

Paige re-entered the room with the items Leo requested and placed them on the bedside table. "Why don't you guys go downstairs and we'll come get you when we're done?"

"What?" Phoebe spoke up completely horrified at the idea of leaving. "We can't just leave her. I can't just leave her."

"Phoebe…" Billie rasped out and winced as the movement caused pain to ripple through her chest. "Please… I d-don't… Want you… T-to see th-this…"

"But Billie…" Phoebe started.

"P-please…" Billie stuttered, desperation clear in her voice and immediately stopped Phoebe in her tracks.

Phoebe just nodded dejectedly as a tear leaked down her cheek and she backed away towards the door that Piper and Prue had left through moments before. "I'll be downstairs if you need me, okay?" Phoebe tried her best to attempt a supportive smile as Billie nodded but her facial muscles just refused to cooperate.

Phoebe slowly made her way down into the lounge where she was immediately engulfed in a bear hug from her two older sisters.

"She's strong, Phoebe." Prue whispered into her ear.

"Yeah, she'll be okay, she's a tough kid." Piper agreed.

A scream of agony sounded from upstairs and Phoebe's grip tightened on her older sisters as a sob escaped from her. Piper and Prue exchanged looks over Phoebe's head with the same thought in mind.

This is going to be a long day…

Manor, Lounge

Hours later…

Phoebe sat awkwardly on the couch in the living room. An older sister sitting on either side of her, but even if you had asked, she couldn't have told you which one was on which side. The only reason Phoebe knew they were there at all was because they had both intertwined their hands with the one of Phoebe's they were closest too. They had long given up on trying to talk to the youngest sister in the room, her near catatonic state had been a real conversation stopper. Her state can be easily explained by the fact that Billie's pain filled screams had only stopped a mere 10 minutes ago, much to the relief of everyone in the manor. Despite the near deafening silence, Phoebe had not made any indication that she had noticed. The same look, a mix of horrified and haunted, had stubbornly clung to Phoebe's face even after Prue's and Piper's best efforts to erase it.

The only thing that managed to break her out of her stupor was the sound of feet shuffling down the stairs. Before anyone could blink, Phoebe was standing in front Leo and Paige, both looking equally exhausted.

"Is… Is she…" Phoebe managed to stutter, her voice still hoarse from the hours of crying.

Leo smiled slightly and nodded, watching with a hint of amusement as Phoebe seemed to collapse in on herself, her knees almost buckling with relief. "She's asking for you."

Phoebe could only smile and mouth 'thank you' before she started to make her way up the stairs. Once she was out of sight, Piper and Prue both turned to face the new arrivals.

"Is she really okay?" Prue asked nervously, her fears hadn't entirely disappeared yet. Although she hadn't spent a lot of time with Billie, she couldn't help but feel attached to the young blonde. Prue had seen all the sacrifices that Billie had made to keep them safe and she had grown fond of the girl, not that she would admit that to anyone. Billie was also the only person that Phoebe had ever dated that she actually liked. Then again, Prue thought. Between the demons and the dirt bags, it isn't really a very high mark to beat.

"Billie will be just fine," Leo reiterated with a tired smile. "She will just be very tired for the next couple of days while she recovers. She took quite a heavy hit."

"Come on, honey." Piper said to Leo as she started to head up the stairs. "You look like you could use a nap."

Leo nodded before following his wife up the stairs, leaving Paige and Prue standing alone at the bottom. They hadn't really had a chance to really talk to each other after Paige's mini-breakdown in the attic a few nights ago. Paige cleared her throat before heading in to the kitchen, bloody cloth and bowl in hand.

Prue watched her go with a mixture of relief and worry. Things had been painfully awkward between them since that night and Prue was more than sure that Paige was avoiding her. She knew that Paige was embarrassed about showing her emotions and was now doing the only thing she could think of. Avoiding the issue and hoping that it will go away. Unfortunately for Paige, that is just not how Prue works. Straight forward and to the point was more her style.

And with that in mind, Prue sucked in a breath and followed after her youngest sister…

Phoebe's Bedroom

"Knock knock," Phoebe called out timidly as she pushed her bedroom door open and entered. The blood and mess was gone, which Phoebe was very thankful for, and Billie was lying down on the bed, smiling shyly up at Phoebe as shuffled into the room. The cute, little smile made Phoebe's heart melt and she felt the tension from the last few hours just melt away. "Hey there, B."

"Hi." Billie rasped, her voice was raw from all the screaming and Phoebe winced at the sound.

Phoebe approached the bed and sat down on the corner, careful to leave lots of space so that she didn't accidently jostle Billie. "How are you feeling?"

Billie smiled again before reaching her hand out to Phoebe and pulling her down onto the bed so that she could cuddle up to her. "Better, no pain or anything. I swear, Leo and Paige must be angels or something."

Phoebe groaned at the bad joke while shifting onto her back and simultaneously pulling the younger witch closer until Billie's head was resting on her chest. "That was really bad, you know."

Billie chuckled lightly before answering, "Well I'm sorry if my joking skills aren't up to your standards, Pheebs."

"I wasn't talking about your joke, Billie." Phoebe said, her tone growing serious. "Today has to top as the worst day of my life. Seeing you like that and… and listening to you scream was just… I don't even think there is a word strong enough to describe how awful it was. I just keep playing it over and over again in my head. If I had just talked you out of coming with us or if I had just moved a little faster or…"

"Stop right there." Billie interrupted fiercely, a scowl marring her features. "This was in no way, shape or form your fault. What happened today had nothing to do with you. I knew what I was signing up for when I came with you guys, it was in the job description…"

"What was? Knowing Phoebe Halliwell will cause agonising death? Because I don't remember reading that anywhere in the contract!" Phoebe interjected angrily.

"That's not what I meant Phoebe and you know it." Billie spat, her voice dangerously low. "I knew that becoming a witch would be dangerous and that I could get hurt but I accepted that. I'm not turning my back on something this important just because it's a little scary."

"A little scary?" Phoebe asked, her voice was just above a whisper and cracked in the middle of 'scary'. Billie looked up at Phoebe confused and was surprised to find tears trailing down the brunette's cheeks. "Watching a horror movie is a little scary. Going into one of those cheesy haunted houses at carnivals is a little scary. This… This was fucking terrifying. When the Triad shot that bolt at you, my heart just stopped. I couldn't move. I couldn't breathe. All I could hear was the sound of your body smacking into the wall and the floor. I thought that you were dead, Billie. Taken away from me… Taken away because of me, by those bastards. For a second, I thought you had died. All the fight left me and all I wanted to do was crumple to the floor and cry. Then when we vanquished them and ran to you… When I saw you on the floor like that, I didn't know if I was supposed to be relieved or horrified…" Phoebe trailed off, refusing to keep riding the train of thought she was on. I will not cry… again…

"I'm not sorry about what happened Phoebe," Billie said softly, not turning to look at Phoebe's surprised expression. "I would do it all over again if I had to. Even after a thousand times I still wouldn't change it, because I know deep down that it was worth it. I mean, yeah I got hurt, but we also took down the Triad! And in the process, we probably saved hundreds of lives. So I'm not going to apologise, just like you're not going to blame yourself."

When Billie finally looked up to her lover's face, she could see that all the anger and pain had melted away to be replaced with nothing but love and adoration. Billie smiled and gently placed a soft kiss on Phoebe's lips.

Although Phoebe thoroughly enjoyed the kiss, she knew that Billie would be beyond exhausted and needed as much rest as possible. It took every ounce of strength she had to pull back from Billie but she somehow managed to do so, not surprised to find that the younger witch's eyes were only half open. Phoebe chuckled lightly and ran her hand through Billie's blonde hair.

"Go to sleep, Sweetie." Phoebe whispered. "I'll be here when you wake up."

"M'kaaaaay…" Came Billie's tired sigh, sleep already overwhelming her.

Phoebe continued to run her hand through Billie's hair for a couple of minutes before she too started to doze off.

A/N: Sorry about this chapter being so short, I thought it would be best to stop there and do a Prue/Paige chapter next rather than half starting one now. I kept rewriting this and rewriting it but I just couldn't get it right. Please don't forget to review and tell me what you thought about it, your opinions really do matter to me! Until next time… :)
