Swan-Mills Home

It has been a couple of months since little Henry came to this world and everything has been almost perfect. Of course, it would be perfect if he allowed Regina or Emma to sleep an entire night without having to wake up three or four times, or if he cried less, but they still wouldn't trade it for anything else in this world. – Regina could spend an entire year with her child before getting back to work but Emma could only spend six months off work and yet they still called her in when they needed backup. Emma kind of hated but when Henry is in his awful crying moods, she loved going out to work, she loved her child to death, but boy could he scream. However, nobody hated that more than Regina, not only because she had to stay alone taking care of Henry but also because when Emma was called in, it was for the most dangerous fires, and even if the fire department chief reassured Regina that he wouldn't put Emma in a position to risk her life, it was still hard for the brunette to relax.

But right now, everything was perfect, Emma was at home, sitting on a position that was almost lying on top of the couch, with the two-month-old Henry upon her chest, sleeping, the blonde was also almost falling asleep because it was relaxing feeling his warm tiny body against hers and she had to take every nap chance she got.

"Emma, my sister is coming any minute now, if you want, you can go upstairs with Henry and sleep," the brunette said softly as she approached them from behind and bent over to kiss softly her wife's cheek.

Emma's first response was a yawn but then turned her head to capture her wife's lips in a kiss, it was a lazy one because she was sleepy, but every kiss was magical for them. "I think I will do just that, babe," she said before slowly standing up, bringing Henry in her arms, still close to her chest, but with slow and careful movements because she didn't want him to wake up, his nap time would still last another hour and a half. "See you in a bit," she mumbled while walking around the couch to peck Regina's temple before going upstairs to their bedroom, so she could sleep with Henry on their massive bed.

Regina just smiled at the sight before going prepare some tear for her and her sister.

A few minutes later, there was a soft knock on the door, a request from Regina because she didn't want the doorbell to wake Henry up. She opened the door with a big smile, happy to catch up with her sister because they haven't seen each other much in these couple of months, however, she wasn't expecting to see a crying Zelena on her porch. "Oh gosh, Zelena, what happened?" She quickly brought her older sister inside before closing the door behind her.

Zelena sniffed and through a soft sob she managed to say something that shocked Regina even more than seeing her crying, "I just left the lawyer's office, I have got the divorce papers," she raised her hand where she held the papers.

Regina only stared at her with her mouth opened, wondering if she heard her right but once she saw those papers, she took them from Zelena's hands and began to read through them. They were indeed divorce papers, but nothing was signed. "Zelena, are you really going to divorce Kathryn?"

Zelena's response to that was another sob as she shut her eyes tightly and pressed her palms against her face. She was clearly hurt because the redhead would never ever let anyone see her like this, so Regina knew this was very serious.

The brunette brought her sister into the kitchen, where a warm tea was already ready for them. "Here, drink this. It will help you calm down," she said as she handed a mug to the redhead.

Regina allowed her sister to calm herself down first before tackling this matter, so after a couple of minutes, she took a deep breath and grabbed her own mug. "What made you make this decision?"

"Remember that time, two months ago, when Kathryn was out of town with her boss?"

"Yes…" Regina really hoped she wasn't going to hear what she thought her sister would say because that would be just a cliché and so out of character of Kathryn. Not even Emma could do that to her, let alone Kathryn whom was the opposite of her younger sister!

"Well apparently her boss had second intentions and tried to kiss Kat," she sniffed.

"Oh my gosh, that's awful," Regina gasped as she approached her sister after finding some napkins, in case she needed.

"Yes, it is. Kathryn told me that she didn't allow anything to happen and she was sorry about it, but when I asked her to quit and work for another company she refused," she let out a shaky breath before sniff again, "I know it's kind of selfish from me to ask her such thing, but I hate the thought of Kathryn still working for that woman. I let the matter go, thinking I could go over it, but I can't, Kathryn continues to work long hours and obviously, that damn woman is always around her. We have just been constantly arguing about that, and I think Kathryn has had enough of me not trusting her, but it's not like I don't trust her! It's just…"

Regina absorbed the information like a sponge and could understand her sister's point of view, but also Kathryn's, the blonde probably feared to quit her job would stop her from getting another one that was just as good as this one, but it wasn't healthy for Zelena to not have her wife around, always busy with a toddler and with work. While Kathryn handled only the stress from work and stress from marriage, Zelena was handling everything else and Regina could see it was destroying her. "Sis, I am here for you and for whatever you do, but are you sure, utterly sure that you want to divorce Kathryn?"

Zelena frowned at Regina's question, not wanting to answer right away because she wasn't that sure. She still loved Kathryn, but the stress was eating her alive, she just wanted it all gone, she couldn't take it anymore. "No, I still love her, but I can't handle this much longer, 'Gina…" she whispered those words.

"You should talk to her."

"I did! Numerous times!"

"I mean talking to her in a calm manner," Regina pointed out and Zelena groaned, "I am quite aware of the Mills' temper," she chuckled softly gaining a small smile from her sister, "you should sit down with her, have a long and calm conversation about you two, about your problems, about what worries you, about what she feels as well, and then you two go from there."

Zelena played with her own fingers as she chewed on her lower lip, that clearly was a good option because she had never once made that happen. It's always yelling or walking out.

"I don't think the divorce is the right thing for you two because I know deep down and away from this drama, you two love each other to death and you both have raised Robin to be such beautiful baby girl and you can continue doing that, together." Regina wrapped her arm around her sister's shoulders. "However, if you still feel like you should divorce her or if she wants that, then I will be here for you and Emma as well, and well Henry too once he's old enough to stop crying every time he has the chance to," she said with a sigh but Zelena chuckled lowly.

"Thank you, sis, you are the best," the redhead mumbled before wrapping her sister in a tight embrace.

"Always here for you," she said while hugging her back. Little did they know, Emma was behind the door, listening to everything they said.

Kathryn & Zelena's Home

Kathryn was exhausted, not because she was arriving home after midnight again but because she did her very best to finish everything before midnight, so she could go home to her wife and daughter, yes daughter because Zelena wanted Kathryn to adopt Robin and the blonde was overjoyed with such offer.

Lately, she and Zelena had been fighting a lot, and it's not something she wants to continue to happen because it's becoming too exhausting and clearly isn't good for their marriage. However, what made her rush everything at work was an afternoon visit from her younger sister. Glad to see Emma but clearly not expecting the worst scolding of her entire life, not even their parents had ever scolded her like that. But it was thanks to Emma that Kathryn realized she was going to lose Zelena, so there were several things she had to change before getting back home.

The first thing she did after Emma stopped lecturing her, was rush back to the office and inform the "big boss" as she likes to call it that she wasn't comfortable working with the boss of her department. She explained to him what had happened in that business trip and he wasn't pleased that the other woman used his money to do such thing, yet Kathryn didn't want the woman fired because she would feel extremely bad about that, so he assured that he wouldn't fire her but she would be given another position in this company and far from Kathryn, far like literally on another state, he was sending the woman to another office that stayed in another state. Kathryn was glad to hear that because she didn't like to work with her anymore, it was always weird, but she also didn't want to lose this job because it was her dream and it paid good money for her family.

After that was taken care of, Kathryn finished what she had to at the office and then rushed out at seven, already later than she desired but still a big accomplishment. – The next thing to do on her list was to get flowers, a bunch of them, Zelena adored flowers and it could be a somewhat lame way of apologizing, but she could still try it. However, Kathryn didn't realize that no flower shop was open after seven, so she decided to drive to the park and pickup whatever flower she found beautiful and make her own bouquet, it looked a bit ridiculous but what matters the most is the intention, right?

That took her another hour and she was all dirty because it had rained in the morning, on her way home, she passed by burger king and knew she had to buy Zelena onion rings, she loved those, she'd appreciate it a lot more than a box full of chocolate.

It was nine pm and Kathryn still wasn't home as expected, yet Zelena couldn't help but feel sad about it every time she looked at the clock. She just had finished putting Robin to sleep, this time the toddler was harder to handle because the nanny she paid thought it was a good idea to give her sugar, so Zelena had to deal with a hyper toddler but now she knew who she wouldn't call next to be a nanny.

Now the redhead sat down on a chair in the kitchen and hugged her coffee mug with both hands, preparing herself for a long wait for Kathryn and go over and over in her mind how she was going to approach this matter with her wife, she had already left the divorce papers upon the kitchen island, that way when Kat stepped in and saw the papers she knew what was going on and it would be easier to start the conversation, or so she hoped.

When she was about to go over the mental conversation she was having with herself for the hundredth time, she heard the front door unlocking and opening. She quickly looked up at the clock, seeing it was still early to be Kathryn, so she decided to pick up frying pan and slowly approach the front entrance. When she was right about to strike whoever came in, she heard her wife's voice screaming her to not to.

"Oh god, Zelena! It's me!" Kathryn yelped once she saw that frying pan moving towards her direction, but the redhead stopped right on time, and Kathryn let out a relieved sigh as she pressed the small clumsy bouquet of flowers and the onion rings against her chest. "Why are you holding that?"

"I-I didn't know it was you! You rarely come at this hour, and you didn't warn me…" Zelena explained herself while putting the frying pan away but she was getting distracted when her eyes caught sight of what Kathryn was holding. "What's that?"

Kathryn didn't warn Zelena she was coming earlier because she wanted it to be a surprise. "This…" she handed the bouquet and the package of onion rings to her wife, "…this is for you."

Zelena only stared at the two items, wondering what this meant. Was Kathryn apologizing to her? Or smooth-talking her? And what was she doing here so early?

"You don't like it…" Kathryn mumbled a bit disappointed with herself, "I know it's not the best flowers out there but when I got out the store was already closed, so I had to go the park and get you some. I tried to find the most beautiful ones, I even managed to get some roses!" She pointed out as she remembered how awful it was to get those roses, she had scratches on her fingertips to prove her story. "And this is onion rings, I figured you'd appreciate it more than a box of chocolates."

Before Zelena knew, she was already crying, tears rolled down over her cheeks like a waterfall and she just threw herself forward, so she could wrap her arms tightly around Kathryn's neck.

The items fell off Kathryn's hands with the impact of Zelena's body against hers but then she slowly and tightly wrapped her arms around her wife's slim figure, hearing her softly cry into her neck. "I am so sorry, Zelena, for everything. I haven't been the best wife or mother lately, but I am changing that, I promise you," she muttered those words against red hair while kissing her wife's scalp and caressing her back before bring her head back to look into blue eyes that were reddish from crying. "I will try to work less, I will help you out more with Robin and I will treat you better. We will even establish a rule right now! We need to have at least one night out per week, it's our weekly date, just the two of us." She smiled, hoping Zelena would get along with it.

Zelena just felt like her entire problems got solved with a few words from her wife, so she just carried on crying but nodding to Kathryn's words, while mumbling yes over and over through her sobs.

Kathryn smiled at her wife's reaction and grabbed her chin gently to bring her face closer and kiss her lips, "don't worry, I have got you and I will make sure I will never let you go. Everything will be better from now on, I promise."

Zelena sighed out happily while still kissing her wife and then nodded at her words. "I love you, Kat," she whispered and nuzzled her nose against hers.

"I love you too, now go eat your onion rings while I put these flowers in a vase," she suggested before picking up the flowers and the package with the onion rings, handing it to Zelena.

"You are the best," the redhead almost yelped in excitement once she saw the onion rings and pecked her cheek.

"Thank you, sweetheart," Kat smiled at that as they both walked to the kitchen and Kat prepared a vase for the flowers, that's when she saw the divorce papers and she felt like her heart stopped for a second but Zelena quickly grabbed those papers and ripped them apart before throwing them in the trash, making Kat smile again, relieved that they managed to put this behind them. "Also, Kelly was moved to another office."

That quickly got Zelena's attention from the onion rings as she had one in her mouth.

"In another state," Kathryn finished with a grin, "I spoke with the CEO about what had happened, and he agreed this was the best solution for both."

Zelena was overjoyed that this outcome was thanks to Kathryn's doing, "Oh you are definitely going to get lucky tonight," the redhead teased already feeling lighter from everything.

Things were going to work out just fine for them.
