Nessie felt that everything was finally going how it should be going. She couldn't be happier, that things were just working out. She was with a great guy and her family was accepting them. She was hoping things would finally be able to stay this way for a while. Nessie knew that the Volturi would always be close by but she wasn't sure how she would feel about it. The Volturi would never go away until they had Alec back and her as a bonus. She wanted nothing to do with their coven. They were trouble and she didn't want to be associated with them at all. Alec had finally let go of Nessie's head. They were just sitting there now looking up at the sky. Alec didn't want to say anything and ruin the moment. He was just happy and he never thought he could be happy. Once he was turned he felt he was damaged and unable to love ever again. His sister made sure he knew that no one would ever trust him enough to open up to him but then he met Nessie and spending that time with her definitely changed his mind. Nessie was able to show him a new side that he had forgot was even in him. He was used to living the life of killing and being on seen as the ultimate bad. It was true that Nessie did see him this way too and he didn't blame her he tried to kill her and her family a couple of years ago but now seeing how if he did let his guard down and showed people the real him they liked him. They didn't be nice to him out of fear they did it because they wanted too. Alec knew that there was going to be some issues especially with Jake around.

Alec had a feeling that Jake was going to be the one person he was never going to convince that he cared for Nessie. He didn't want to cause issues for Nessie when it came to her best friend but he wanted to have Nessie and he wasn't going to let anyone get in his way. He had finally found something that he thought was lost. Nessie gave him hope and he didn't remember how happy having hope could make someone. Alec just smiled at Nessie and gave her another quick kiss on the cheek. He could see Nessie blush a little which made him smile even more. He like knowing he had this effect on someone. "I'm glad things went the way they did." "I'm sure my mom had something to do with everyone being okay with you in the house." Her mother had always told her about no one wanting her father and her to be together and that they had to fight to prove they could make it. No one wants their child to go through that too. "I just hate how there are so much rules for us to be together. We will never be able to go back to the cottage." Nessie didn't like the idea of being under rules again, she didn't get why they didn't trust the two of them to be alone together. Her whole family could hear everything that goes on. "There could be a million rules, I don't care as long as it means I get to see you every day like I did before." This made her blush again. She hated that at the slightest words her body seemed to betray her and let the whole world know how she felt. Nessie turned her head away so he couldn't see the blush. She felt Alec take her head and turn it back to face him. She wanted to turn her head back but she knew this was going to be a fight she was going to lose. "Don't turn away I like seeing you blush. It lets me know that you care." Now Nessie knew she was definitely blushing and she didn't know how to make it stop. She wasn't sure if she wanted to or not. It was the first time she had ever felt like this with a guy before and it was all new and exciting.

Nessie wondered if this was how her parents felt. To not have control over the feelings you felt and how your body was reacting to them. She saw how her family acted with one another, it could make someone sick. Now she got why they did that, it was because they didn't have any control over how they reacted. Nessie just realized that it was getting dark out. They must have spent 4 hours out here doing nothing but looking at the sky and each other. She couldn't believe how fast time went by. "We should probably head back. I don't want to have my family worrying just after we got them to let you stay here." "Yea I want to keep staying here." Alec stood up and then offered his hand to Nessie. She took his hand and he pulled her up. They headed back to the main house. Nessie knew that her family would be staying at the cottage in the woods because it would be farther from Alec. Her dad still wasn't 100% on the idea of her dating Alec. She just hoped everyone would understand and not interfere with how they went about their relationship. "Why did you come back with the Volutri to steal me?" Nessie had been wondering that since he arrived at her house. Did he really want to just take her and make her one of them? "When I went back with them they had found out that you had taken off and they wanted to make sure you were doing no harm. By the time we got back to Aro you had made it home and the word was reaching him. I was worried that they were going to catch you before you were able to leave." Alec paused and stopped walking. Nessie turned to face him she could see that he was afraid that she would be caught and the Volturi would have her in their hold. "That was when Aro got the idea to come here and bring you back to him. He wanted to make sure that you couldn't get away and by him having control you wouldn't be able to hurt him." Nessie was glad that he was here, that meant even if her family lost that she would still have someone on her side.

They made it back to the house and she could hear her family all in the kitchen. They did like to cook together sometimes. She knew this would be the first time in a long time that they were all home to cook together. She opened the door and let Alec in first and she followed him. Everyone turned to look at them as they entered into the room. "At least you know how to follow rules." Nessie just shook her head at her father's comment. He really knew what to say to be the embarrassing parent. She wasn't use to having her parents be this embarrassing of course she didn't have anyone around for her to be embarrassed in front of. She didn't like this at all she just wanted her family to be normal. "Yes I want to be able to stay here and see Nessie." Alec just smiled and moved into the kitchen more. Nessie couldn't help but smile a little because that was something to see Alec telling her dad that he didn't plan on leaving. That is what she liked she didn't want to have to fight to be together and if her family wanted to be overprotective they could but she was still going to be with him. "Nessie just so you know, your father and I decided it would be good to stay in the cottage tonight. It will be the first time since you left and we want to stay as a family tonight." Nessie just smiled and nodded in agreement. She knew the real reason was because her father wanted as much space as he could get between the two. She knew over time her father would get used to having Alec around and that it would be like he was a part of the family the whole time.
