Demon's Light Chapter 25

Yo guys! It's been a while! The sun is shining, HxH is back to weekly updates with the DC arc, and here I am trying to murder everyone in a different universe... (I'm just kidding, I just needed some epic intro for this author's note.)

The chapter title is a play on the boy who cried wolf even though there's not much crying here...I'm sorry, no one understands how weird I am.

The main delay for this chapter is because...a lot of things happened/I got busy…and I don't feel like explaining college stuff now, I'd just be racking up the word count on this chapter even more so let's just move on to replying to the anon reviewers and start the chapter! (Who here reads my authors notes anyway? I'm always saying random things all the time. Is it even entertaining to read? XD )

Guest/KG-Ai (chapter 10) – I'm glad you took the time to read this fic! *I hope your head doesn't hurt from all the banging XD* It's alright if you don't have the time to review in future chapters but I still appreciate it! (Chapter 20) It's better late than never I suppose? ;D (chapter 24) lol I think everyone wanted the genderswapping part to last longer, but at least it happened? It's possible that it'll happen again. Yep! There will be nothing but cliffhangers for the next few chapters…unfortunately OTL

Retz- So…Haru is nobody eh~? ;D And here is the next chapter! Sorry for taking so long to update!

Nispedana- Double gender bending plus lucky bingo shirts= world domination! The spiders are always so cool! I want to do them justice in this fic in some way XD But I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter! Here is chapter 25 like you wanted! (Oh! I'm glad you thought that way of how it ended in the previous chapter! Leora is just that awesome XD)

Ugo-kun- The proposal part is my favorite too! I needed to end off in a cliffhanger for suspense purposes. It'll be like that for the next few chapters so I hope you're okay with that! TvT

I'm a guest- Lol! I'm glad you enjoyed the jokes! And there will be even more cliffhangers you must endure! (Let's see if her knight and shining armor appears here~ kukuku~ ;D ) Killua will always have his back! I hope you enjoy this chapter! Thanks for the review! :D

*Note: this chapter is a bit actiony...

Leora did what anyone else would do in her situation:

She screamed and ran for her life.

Nobunaga was faster than her of course so he...pushed her away? He originally intended to grab her with his claw, but Killua elbowed his back which distracted him from eating Leora and pushed her away as a result. Gon launched his fishing line and wrapped it around Nobunaga's leg. He fiercely began to reel him in using all the strength he had.

"Why you!" Nobunaga growled and it looked like he was going to aim for Gon, but the moment Killua was about to jump off from him, his claw stabbed her already injured leg and threw her up in the air.

Her blood splattered in the air as she yelped in pain, "I couldn't move away in time!" Killua's eyes widened not from in pain, but from something else, "The barrier is gone?! Don't tell me that his howl from earlier got rid of it!?" At the same time, she zapped her own wound to prevent it from bleeding.

"KILLUA-AHH!" Gon cried when Nobunaga suddenly appeared in front of him and slammed Gon's back to the wall. When he opened his giant jaws, Gon stuck his fishing rod into Nobunaga's mouth before he could close it.

Gon struggled to push Nobunaga away from him, but a 'crack' was heard and a 'snap!' was all that it took to break his fishing rod in half.

Nobunaga claimed a bite of Gon's right shoulder and he yelled in pain. Killua zapped electricity at Nobunaga from above as she released her wings. "Get out of there!"

Gon pulled himself away from Nobunaga's sharp teeth and rolled on the ground to get some distance away from him. He grabbed the top part of his broken rod and dashed over to Leora while ignoring the pain he was in, "Wake up Leora! Are you okay?!" He picked her up from the ground and shook her back and forth.

Leora shook herself out of it and glanced at Gon. "Oh my god, you're bleeding!" She pointed at his shoulder and then looked at her grazed arm, "I'm bleeding too! Is that thing really a werewolf? Am I dreaming? What's going on?" Thankfully, she only got a minor scratch.

It began to rain and Nobunaga leaped on top of the roof to catch Killua in the air. "Crap, I'm too worried about Leora being here. I gotta retreat for now!" She quickly enshrouded her body with electricity and vanished from Nobunaga's sight. Since he jumped to reach her...he fell back down to the ground.

"You're not dreaming! Come on!" Gon pulled her up from the ground and started running with her. "Killua! Are you okay?" He asked when she appeared beside him.

"Not really. Hang on; we gotta hide without being detected." She grabbed their hands and sprinted away with them using her electricity again.

"Damn it! I lost them!" The werewolf ruffled the fur on his head in anger. He kicked the building annoyed, "WHERE DID YOU BRATS GO? Come out and fight!" He howled as he grabbed a loose brick from the wall and slammed it to the ground. Then he tried to sniff out their scents.

He couldn't smell a thing.

"Nobunaga, calm down." Shalnark came down from his position and poked him from behind.

"Can't you see I'm trying to catch their scents?" Nobunaga whined.

"Not in this rain." Shalnark held out his hand at the falling raindrops. "Try not to act needlessly. I'm going to ask Danchou about this situation."

"Feh, there's no need to drag Danchou into this. This prey is mines." He cracked his fingers, "Those kids are just begging to get killed by me!" He glared at Shalnark, "Don't get in my way."

"Okay, I won't get in your way." Shalnark held up his hands defensively. "But I find this kind of odd; Danchou's ability didn't predict any of this."

"I don't care about that future predicting mumbo jumbo, as long as the job gets done."

"Oi, remember to keep that Gon kid alive, or 'that' guy will have our heads." Shal reminded him. "You fully took a bite out of him."

"Sure...AS IF! Come on, help me out here. Where the hell are they? Shal, you should take a bite from him too! His blood is really appetizing! It's the best I've had in years!"

"I think I'll pass. And just to throw it out there, you could have destroyed that barrier much earlier." Shalnark brought up, "Why didn't you? You could have damaged those two more on your first hit."

"It looked weak and it's so troublesome breaking a barrier like that without being in this form so I ignored it." He shrugged. "Honestly, I didn't think they'd be that much of a challenge but I thought it out wrong again..."

"I know that much Nobu, but that's the kind of barrier that protects anyone it desires. You should have been more cautious! They had the advantage over you the entire time! You could have fatally wounded them earlier, BUT you allowed them figure out our secret!" Shalnark lectured.

"Hey! It's not like you randomly got your head ripped off. I really wasn't expecting it! I'm being honest!" Nobunaga raised his arms. "Alright I admit, I didn't pay any attention to that stupid barrier. But…you're right, and now we have to deal with them in this darn rain..."

"Well it's not my fault. Danchou only told me to help you if you're unable to help yourself. But you seem completely fine." Shalnark pouted.

"Shut up! Don't let me do all the work! Now come on, you know how we are? We gotta go for the hunt while it's fresh~" Nobunaga cracked his knuckles.

"Alright, I'll take a look." Shalnark sighed as he checked his phone. "WIFI here is weak, but two of them are definitely around the eastern part of the building."

"LET ME AT THEM-"

"Hold up Nobu." Shalnark crudely grabbed Nobunaga's tail and the latter yelped in pain. He growled at Shalnark and demanded to know why he stopped him. "You are waiting right here until I finish the call with Danchou. After I finish reporting to him, you can do whatever you want depending on his orders."

"HPMF!" He scoffed.

"Alright, before I tell you guys off, I'm going to ask some very important questions." Lightning dramatically flashed outside as Leora, Gon and Killua were hiding inside one of the classrooms. "Whose bright idea was it to go after that werewolf?" The only answer she got was Gon and Killua pointing at each other. "IT WAS BOTH OF YOUR FAULTS! THE HELL?!"

"We can explain..." Gon weakly raised his hand.

"And second!" She deliberately cut him off. "Why did you two turn back to normal?! I didn't get the chance to dress you guys up yet!"

"I don't want another episode of me being a guy. Please omit any dress up plans that you had in mind." Killua replied scornfully.

"And third!" Leora continued, "What's...with those matching rings? Are you guys getting married or what?"

"Yep! Netero-san was our witness!" Gon cheered.

"He nearly tickled me to death over it!" Killua pointed at him angrily, but she honestly didn't mind the idea.

"...Right..." For some reason Leora expected those reactions, "Well, if we're alive by the end of the day, I promise that I'll pay for your honeymoon." She joked.

"Really?" Gon's eyes glistened.

"Don't put strange ideas in his head..." Killua sweat-dropped.

"We'll live." Gon worriedly looked out the window. "But what should we now?"

"What now indeed..." Killua mumbled.

"Let's start off with this miss assassin: How about you tell me why that thing was trying to kill us, and why you couldn't kill him?" Leora complained to Killua.

"I 'did' kill him, but he just revived. This isn't normal." Killua held a serious expression on her face. "Gon, you saw how I severed his head earlier?"

"YOU DID WHAT?!" Leora jumped back freaked out while Gon simply nodded his head, "You're okay with that?!"

"Of course, he just popped it back on anyway." He shrugged his shoulders.

Leora sweat-dropped, "That's not what I meant...But he put his head back on? What?" Her eyes swirled in confusion.

"He's immortal." Killua answered.

Gon and Leora simultaneously said, "What?"

"You heard me: Immortality, living forever, nothing can kill you." Killua listed with emphasis.

"I thought all of you were immortal and stuff?" Leora was out of the loop. "And you're an assassin right? Haven't you dealt with stuff like this before?"

"Ex-assassin." She corrected, "With werewolves, yes. Immortals? No." Killua stated. "From your point of view, you see people like me and Kurapika as immortal, but we basically live a million years longer than humans. Each creature from each dimension has a certain life span excluding the Void Beyond. The creatures from the void are immortals because of how their world is set up. I've never actually dealt with an immortal before, but from the story we heard from Kurapika they're definitely not from the void. Kuroro has a demonic scent and Nobunaga and Shalnark has a werewolf scent. You can tell from a glance if someone is from a certain dimension."

"…But why is it that you never got a hit on an immortal? I mean the void is another world and stuff, but I don't get it." Gon scrunched his eyebrows.

"The Void Beyond was created from an elapsed rift of time. Anyone born in that dimension doesn't age. The creatures from there are extremely dangerous so the kings from all the dimensions banded together and made a law to confine them in their world. No creature that is born in the void is allowed to leave except for their own king. Because of that law, they can't really pose a threat to any other dimensions out there, so no one requests any hits on them. The world also serves as penalty gate to those who neglect the rules of dimension traveling. If you end up there, you have to pay…a hefty fine…" She grumbled at the end of her explanation.

"Sounds like you've been there before." Leora asked tentatively.

"Don't remind me..." Killua groaned.

"That sounds…kinda harsh." Gon only absorbed half of that information (his brain was close to frying). "What about that list though? That target one? Did the people who gave it to you know that they're immortal?" He inquired.

"I don't think so. The Death Industry knew I was strong enough to take them on, but they probably didn't know they're immortal. That's why they've been hard to catch." Killua glanced at her hand.

"How do you think they became immortal?" Gon asked.

"Good question..." Killua hummed, "It's either through a forbidden spell or they might be connected to something that has powerful source of magic. Maybe Kuroro's Skill Hunter has something to do with it. I'm not sure..."

"Maybe if we go after whatever magical thing they're attached to, they'll revert back to being mortal?" Leora cocked her head in question.

"Exactly, but I'm not too sure if they're connected by anything at all. They could just be conjured by a crazy magician from another dimension, and they won't disappear until their master says they should. There could be instances like that too." Killua explained.

"Well crap, which one is it?" Leora was baffled.

"I don't freaking know okay?!" Killua's fist slammed to the ground.

"Calm down! We should just figure out what to-"

Gon's sentence was distrupted by an earthquake.

"I understand. I'll call you back in a bit." Shalnark ended his call with Kuroro. "Nobunaga! Kicking the building won't help with anything!"

"I'm just blowing off some steam!" Nobunaga angrily replied.

"Come on, let's form a plan based on Danchou's prediction." Shalnark suggested as the other werewolf eventually stopped kicking the building.

The tremors stopped and the three of them were relieved. They crawled out from the desks they hid under and removed the dust from their clothes. "At least you two were smart enough to go to the most abandoned place in the entire area." Leora hugged a leg of a desk.

"We've done our research." Killua responded and Gon nodded his head in agreement.

"So how are we going to get rid of him?" Leora asked. "I don't want to say this but...if we leave him alone, he might go after all the people at the festival. It's not raining that badly, so everyone is still going to stick around."

"You have a point, but I don't have any ideas yet..." Killua gritted her teeth, "Right now luck is on our side since it's raining and he can't track our scents that way. I sensed that Shalnark is around, but he isn't taking any action so we should be okay for now. Kurapika shouldn't be able to track them...I hope."

"Oh yeah! I left Kurapika behind!" Leora slapped her hands on the sides of her head.

"He's definitely going to worry and come looking soon." Gon added.

"We have to get rid of him somehow before Kurapika finds us. We don't have much time. The dimension tickets I have only leads to this world so we can't do the same thing as last time." Killua reminded them of the train incident.

Gon tried to think of some ideas, but he began to sulk, "I can't think of anything..." His eyes suddenly watered as he gazed at his broken rod. "The fishing rod you gave me broke. I'm sorry!"

"It's okay! It's nothing worth crying over. We'll just get some cash for a new-I GOT IT!" Leora snapped her fingers.

"...Don't tell me you're going to beat an immortal werewolf with cash?" Killua furrowed her eyebrows disgusted at the thought.

"I wish! I'm talking about this!" Leora took something out from her purse.

It was a gun.

"YOU WERE CARRYING THAT GUN!?" Killua pointed at it in remembrance.

"YOU HAVE A GUN!?" Gon yelled in shock the same time with Killua.

"Calm down! I'm not going to shoot you two or anything." She reassured them as she faced Killua. "You told me to keep this thing safe...And with all the shit I've been through lately, I thought: 'Why not carry it with me? I might die anyway!'" Leora said sarcastically. "Besides, that weird loli grandma said it works against all supernatural...things. So maybe we can give it a shot?" The pun was intended.

"What loli grandma?" Gon asked.

"I'll explain that later. Will this work Killua?" Leora held the gun.

Killua stared at the gun and observed the blue glowing bullets in the cartridge. "Probably..." She sounded unsure, "I almost forgot about that gun we got from Bisuke, but what can it do? The bullets is something that neither of us can touch. What's something that demon's can't touch-Holy water!" She snapped her fingers in realization. "She probably used holy water from that Cookie thing to make those bullets somehow! This could be to our advantage, but there are some other magic properties in there that I can't distinguish…It might be a bad idea. I highly doubt it would really kill Nobunaga, but maybe we can delay him with it somehow..."

As Killua remained deep in thought, Gon decided to take a look at the gun, "Hmm." He glanced at the bullets. "How about we catch him off guard and then we can use this gun to knock him out?"

"But how?" Leora held her hand to her chin. "But first things first, let's get you both patched up." She pointed at Gon's shoulder and Killua's leg. She stood up and grabbed some rags and first aid kit materials from the cupboards and took out her own first aid kit from her purse.

"How do you know that there're rags here?"

"This is the old science building duh. Gon bite your tongue, this will sting." Leora applied some medicine on his wound and started wrapping his shoulder. "This sector closed down at the end of my previous semester. And from the looks of it, they haven't cleaned up everything yet." After she finished with Gon, she moved on to Killua. Since Killua already sealed her wound with her electricity, Leora simply wrapped it.

"Why close it down though?" Gon asked as he pointed at her arm to remind her of her scratch. She got some more material to wrap her own small scratch.

"The usual, replace it or expanded it...Wait a freaking second, THIS IS THE SCIENCE ROOM!" Leora stood up suddenly.

Gon and Killua glanced at each other awkwardly, "Yeah, you just said that a moment ago..." Killua told her.

Leora rushed to open all the drawers and cupboards in the room. Gon and Killua remained confused and thought that seeing a werewolf made her crazy but she pranced back to them and placed a couple of items on the floor. A bottle of 70% alcohol, pieces of cloth, baking soda some oil...and many various things they do not know of. "Leora, what are you planning to do with all of that?" Gon was bewildered as she started mixing several things together inside a bottle.

"The distraction! We can catch him off guard with this!" She proudly held the bottle in front of them, "A Molotov cocktail!"

"A what?" Killua darkly replied.

"Have you guys played the Last of Us yet?" Leora gaped at them.

"No not really. The TV screen is broken at home remember?" Gon sweat-dropped. Killua cringed as she remembered the time she broke it and hid the remains in the closet.*

Leora glared at them and sighed, "Let's make things short and quick: Video games are life savers. I know that putting one together won't kill us. I learned this in science class back in high school before you ask anything."

"Which science class was that?" Killua raised her eyebrow a bit suspicious.

"Hanzo." Was all that Leora said.

"Oh, that makes sense." Everyone should pay Hanzo a visit after all of this.

She tied a cloth on the bottle when she officially finished her mixture. "You throw this thing at your target and bang! They blow up into flames. Just like those bloaters*!"

"Didn't I just mention that he's immortal?" Killua raised her arms.

"I know he is! We just need to throw this thing at him, burn the hairs off his fur-" Leora paused realizing that hair and fur was practically the same thing...but she screwed it. "And while he's burning and screaming we can shoot this baby and ba da bing ba da boom! We'll live another day! Gon, you make those ninja smoke bombs since we have some magnesium powder stored here. I still have some snappers in my purse from the time I bought those firecrackers. You remember how to craft them from Hanzo right? Let's put the ninja skills we've learned to use!"

"Uwa..." Killua never would have thought that Hanzo's 'ninja' training would help them in a situation like this...maybe that baldy isn't as bad as she thought. As Gon started making some smoke bombs, Leora handed the Molotov to Killua.

"And you can throw this." Leora passed it to Killua as she readily took the bottle in her hands.

It seemed pretty harmless in its dormant state. "What good will it do if it's raining?" Killua thought it'd be pointless because the rain will easily out the flames.

"It's only for a moment. Don't grow more gray hairs on me." Leora joked.

"It's silver!" Killua protested and then sighed, "We're wasting time, let's make a plan. I'll distract Nobunaga and you throw this Molotov thing at him. I'll lure him to the window over there, while-"

"NO!" Gon objected.

Killua stopped since she didn't expect Gon to interrupt her. "No what?"

"I won't let you be the bait! I'll do it!" He pointed at himself confidently.

"Hah? You know I can handle it!"

"Not with that leg." Gon furrowed his eyebrows seriously.

Killua flinched, "I'm fine…this is nothing, and you know I have wings. I can bear with the pain. Besides, shouldn't you worry about yourself more?!" She pointed at him.

"But you can't fly around the hallway. It's too narrow." Gon knew that for a fact. "I can still run!"

"To be honest, I kinda agree with Gon. I'm not cool with you overexerting that leg. And as an aspiring doctor, you should take my advice to heart!" Leora confidently folded her arms.

"It'll heal within a few hours..." Killua grumbled.

"But Gon, you seriously cannot outrun a werewolf. Can't we do something else instead?" Leora suggested.

"I was faster than Hisoka and it worked out! If you let me do it, I'll punch him in the face for you!" Gon abruptly leaned to Killua and she jerked back at his forwardness, "I have a full proof plan! Trust me!"

"Uh oh, he has the 'you can't make me change my mind' tone of voice. It's your call Killua." Leora raised her arms defeated.

Killua figured Gon wouldn't drop the subject anytime soon and sighed, "Okay, I grant you permission to punch him in the face." She said monotonously.

"Wahoo!" He cheered.

"But, if you can't do it within a minute after you encounter him, run." She placed her hands on her hips and a grin formed on her face.

"Aww." Gon whined disappointed.

"Well you already know what to do Leora, its just Gon and I switching positions. If this plan doesn't work, I'll get Nobunaga from behind in the shadows and we'll work around a plan B. Deal?" She slipped the Molotov in the back of her pocket.

"Deal!" Gon replied.

"I want you two to remember that I love you guys very much. If I die today please tell Kurapika that I was the one who dyed his hair pink two years ago." Leora sarcastically pushed in her final words.

Finding Nobunaga is one thing, but outrunning him is another problem due to his speed as a werewolf. Concerned on how to deal with that, Gon walked outside the building and spotted the skateboard he left behind. Initially he bought it for Killua since she was so enthralled by it, "Sorry Killua..." He picked it up from the ground and held the board under his arm, "I just hope I can use it right..."

"Oh~ It looks like I found one out of the three!"

Gon's eyes widened as he turned to the voice coming from the roof. Nobunaga stood there with a devilish grin on his face, "You're that human! The other's told me not to hurt you, but you see I'm dying for a meal right now and that arm of yours tasted amazing! The blame is all on you guys for making me turn like this! Danchou gave me the okay as long as I don't injure you 'that' much~" The sound of thunder and lightning dramatically came behind him and Gon hopped through the window that was beside him.

Nobunaga came down from the roof and jumped through the same window Gon did. He was greeted by Killua's skateboard jabbing right at his gut. The damage didn't do enough to pierce him, but Gon successfully 'punched him' for now.

Gon took back the skateboard and threw it ahead of him. He jumped on it and used his right leg to make it go faster. He was able to keep a good distance between himself and Nobunaga who continued to pursue him in the dark hallway. "I can't punch him if I keep on running...Wait, how do I jump with this thing?!" Gon realized that he never used a skateboard in his life and he started to panic. He was getting closer to his destination, "How do I jump?!" Should he get off the skateboard and jump out the window? Or should he jump along with the skateboard like Tony Hawk?

He figured that he had to get rid of the skateboard and go with the former option, but his plans were thwarted when he felt Nobunaga behind him.

"You want to jump? I'll give you a hand kid." Nobunaga smacked him out the window. Gon's body crashed through the glass and was sent flying back out into the rain.

Leora was in her designated corner and Gon saw a spark of electricity by the roof indicating that Killua was up there. He quickly brushed away the glass that was on his clothes as Nobunaga leaped in front of him. Gon stood up and kicked a large puddle of mud towards Nobunaga and it splashed all over him. "My eyes!" He screeched as he rubbed his eyes.

Gon's eyes noticed the ignited Molotov that was in the air.

When it made contact with Nobunaga's body, flames sprouted and he screamed in pain. "RUN!" Gon heard Killua voice from somewhere and he ran back into the building.

Leora quickly fired a shot at the corner of Nobunaga's chest and he collapsed to the ground (she wanted to try to do a headshot, but aiming in the rain plus her wearing glasses isn't the best combination). She shook her head a bit surprised at the recoil and the loud sound, but she easily recovered from her shock and said: "Oh my god...I killed something! This is great!" A short silence followed after that statement. "...Now I feel sick..." Leora leveled up from lvl 1 to lvl 2!

"Usually people would freak out at their first kill, but you sound enthusiastic about it..." Leora heard Killua's voice from afar. "Our goal was to knock him out anyway, so get away from there."

"But people kill stuff in video games all the time! This shouldn't be any different…Wait…won't this go on my record? Oh crap, I'm doomed! How can I become a doctor now?" Leora wailed.

"That's more like it..." Killua jumped on the roof above Leora.

"Shut up!" Leora barked.

Before she could retreat, the rain dispersed the flames from Nobunaga's body and he easily got up and shook away the smoke from his body. Leora nearly shrieked when she saw him getting back up. Killing the final boss isn't easy! She knew that for a fact. However, she had no idea what to do when Nobunaga venomous jaws opened wide and took a huge step forward to her.

"This thing didn't work?!" Leora panicked, "Oh no no no no no!" She yelled in-between the two shots she fired but missed.

"Get down!" Killua jumped down from the roof and prepared to swing her transformed claw at him.

All of a sudden, Nobunaga was blasted away before Killua's claw could even touch him.

Under that brief 0.0001 second, Killua clearly saw a swift dark shadow and gleaming red eyes that left a streaking red glowing trail. Killua knew that there's only one person who fits that description. She whipped her head to her left to see a drenched Kurapika in front of Nobunaga.

"What are you doing here?" Kurapika asked skeptically.

Gon, Killua and Leora shivered thinking that he was asking them (they didn't know where to start so they remained silent). Nobunaga cackled at his entrance, "Yo, Kurapika! You came just in time! I've always wanted to bite off your head!"

"It has been a while, but I intent to keep my head intact." Dark black chains released from his hand and entered inside Nobunaga's body. Kurapika raised his other hand and launch more black chains to encase his entire body.

"What the hell are these chains?! I couldn't even sense them until they hit me!" Nobunaga scrunched his face and forcefully tried to break out of the chains. Unbeknownst to Nobunaga, several of those black chains melted inside his body.

"Nobu! Shut your eyes!" Nobunaga heard Shalnark's voice from above. A giant ball of fire emitted out from Shalnark's phone as it hit Nobunaga.

The impact of fire made Kurapika and Killua step back as Gon and Leora covered their heads. "I'll have to leave Nobunaga to Kurapika for now! I need to take care of Shalnark!" Killua took off to the skies and glided towards Shalnark who was perched on top of a streetlight.

With the heat from the fire, Nobunaga was able to break away from the chains and jumped towards Kurapika who swiftly dodged his assault. "What are you two doing?! Get out of here now!" Kurapika yelled at Gon and Leora.

"Right!" Leora was about to sprint to the exit but Gon grabbed her hand and led her up the stairs instead. "I thought we're supposed to get outta here!"

"We can't just leave them!"

"I know that genius!" She retorted. "What are you thinking?"

Gon held up the top half of his broken fishing rod and grinned, "I can still use the line for something!"

"Something seems different here." Nobunaga pondered, "He didn't have those black chains the last time I saw him." He recalled a time when Kurapika surprised attacked their troupe. Fortunately for them, Kurapika had to retreat. "I did hear that he drank dragon's blood. Which one did he go after again?"

"What's wrong?" Kurapika's chains whirled around the area as he casted a devious smile, "Aren't you planning to eat me~?" Kurapika provoked the wolf.

Nobunaga grinned evilly in return, "Well then," The werewolf leaped up into the air, "Let's eat!"*

Kurapika spun around to avoid being hit and used his chains as support to spring himself forward. "Now that's more like it! Come at me!" Nobunaga raised his claws and clasped two chains in his hands. He swung them in the air which caused Kurapika to skid on the mud. Nobunaga pounded Kurapika towards the nearest wall and ran after him by instinct when he suddenly clenched his jaws. The werewolf began to lean on his right side and clutched his furry chest, "What's going on here?" Nobunaga's body would listen to him as he felt a strange pulsation at the spot he got shot at.

Below him, Kurapika hastily recovered from being knocked back to the wall and wrapped his chains around Nobunaga's feet.

"Play fair damn it!" He decided to ignore the pronouncing pain and forcefully broke the chains on his feet using his own physical strength. "These chains are different from the ones he hit me with a moment ago. They're way too weak! If I'm right…the silver chains are his normal strength while the black chains are related to the dragon powers he absorbed." He thought.

"Do you really expect me to play 'fair' after all the things you've done?" Kurapika haughtily replied.

"Tch! You're so freaking annoying!" Nobunaga charged towards him but he was halted by a labyrinth of chains. Nobunaga was trapped in an inescapable world of chains coming from all directions. He grinded his teeth displeased. He didn't care much at his current surroundings but something else pissed him off, "Oi! What is the meaning of this?! Show me what you're hiding! I know this isn't your real strength! You really think that a cage like this can stop someone like me?"

"I don't need to go all out on you." Kurapika curtly turned his head from him, "Besides," Nobunaga couldn't see it from his point of view, but half of the chains were pitch black while the other half remained silver to deceive him. "I've already won."

The image of Kurapika's demonic blood eyes and his murderous grin flickered within Nobunaga's subconscious. It enticed him. It got his blood boiling in anger and his heinous laughter was filled with bloodlust. His eyes flared bright neon blue, "You? Already won? Don't give me that bull shit!" He bit a side of his lip as blood flowed out to decorate his bloody razor teeth, "I WILL EAT YOU! KURAPIKA!" He opened his mouth and devoured the chains in front of him.

The rattling chains were ripped apart with Nobunaga's brute strength and powerful jaws.

"He took the bait…All I need to do now is wait for the right moment." Kurapika watched Nobanaga forcing his way through the chains while Kurapika kept a strict eye on a certain black chain that was lodged within the werewolf's body.

"If he keeps moving around like this, I won't be able to catch him!" Killua's thought as Shalnark kept on jumping from one streetlight to the next to avoid Killua's attacks. Strangely, Shalnark and his phone were glowing as he continued to avoid her, "That phone is controlling his movements! Crap, how can I get it away from him?" She launched a bolt of lightning at him but Shalnark quickly evaded it. Shalnark appeared behind her to stab her back, but she raised her elbow to hit his head. Unfortunately he disappeared before it would make contact, "Tch! The rain is numbing my senses too!" Killua stopped flying, "Senses?" She suddenly had a thought.

She looked back at the building and saw Gon and Leora on the roof. She was about to yell at them until she saw Gon holding up one of the smoke bombs he made earlier.

Killua had a feeling that Gon came up with the same idea as her and nodded at him before flying towards Shalnark's direction again.

"At this rate, even if Killua uses her electricity, I can outrun her in my autopilot mode. But I can only use so much energy. I have to record everything that's going on from every angle, and that already takes a lot out of my battery." Shalnark processed the current crisis he was in. "I'll catch her when she'll tires herself out. Killua has to use her electricity eventually. I just need a chance to aim for her wings and it'll be over!"

Gon attached the small smoke bomb on the hook, "Okay! I'm ready!"

"I do not understand what you are doing." Leora shook her head.

"Just watch!" He stretched out his broken rod.

Killua kept on the offensive and continued to pursue Shalnark. As he continued to stay evasive, he was slowly being lured to the roof.

"Now!" Gon used his line to shoot the smoke bomb into the air (he made sure to use his other arm so he wouldn't aggravate his wound from earlier).

"What the?!" Shalnark flipped away from the streetlight he was standing on, but the small bomb hit his foot which exploded on impact and he was surrounded by a cloud of smoke. "I can't see a thing! What are they after?" He had to stay alert to assess the situation.

Killua took out her yo-yo that she got for her birthday and flung it at the glowing phone through the cloud of smoke. Shalnark's phone escaped from his hand for a moment, but he grabbed it back before it would get too far from him, "Ha! You think you can get my phone with that thing?"

"Positive." She chuckled, "Why do you think I have two yo-yo's~?" Killua sneakily came up from behind him and threw her second yo-yo at his phone and knocked it towards the roof.

"Crap! I can't get it!" Shalnark's reached out his hand in vain.

Gon's launched his lure in the air and wrapped the line around the cell phone. He pulled it towards him and Leora caught it in her hand.

"Booyeah! Yo-Yo power! Nice job!" Leora and Gon did a high five. Mission accomplished!

From the corner of Nobunaga's eye, he saw the phone soaring over to them. Usually he wouldn't pay any mind to the device, but Kuroro specifically ordered that everyone's movements should be recorded. "Aw shit. I got you covered Shal!" Nobunaga pushed away the chains that were blocking him from above and squeeze himself through them. He leaped to the top of the roof and snatched the phone from Leora's hand and threw it back to Shalnark. "Remember not to lose that damn thing, or Danchou will have our heads!" Leora lost her footing and nearly tripped on the ground but thankfully Gon helped her to get back up.

"Gon! Leora!" Killua was going to fly back down but she was blocked by Shalnark who stood on the streetlight in front of her.

"You two are dead!" Nobunaga raised his claw in the air.

"Leora!" Gon picked up a rock from the ground and was ready to throw it at Nobunaga to delay him.

Killua frantically tried to get around Shalnark but since his phone returned to him, his speed became too difficult for her to surpass. She snapped her fingers to use her electric speed and raced to them while trying to get away from Shalnark at the same time.

At that very moment, Kurapika closed the palm of his hand when Nobunaga was about to strike.

Time seemed to have stood still for Gon and Leora, for all the saw next was Nobunaga coughing liters upon liters of blood.

The rock that Gon held in his hand was splattered with blood. He gaped at his shirt that was also stained with red, but he was more alarmed at Nobunaga's lifeless state. The werewolf swayed lifelessly from side to side until he fell to the ground in front of them.

"Gon?" Leora peered at Nobunaga while hiding behind Gon. "Is he gonna get back up again?"

"Maybe...Let's go!" He pulled Leora away from the scene.

"Nobunaga! Are you okay?" Shalnark called as he switched off his autopilot mode, "What the hell just happened?" He stopped hounding Killua and plummet himself to the roof. He assumed it's just the usual and he'll get back up in no time. But when he saw Nobunaga's body being covered by a dark black mist, he knew that something was definitely wrong.

Dark chains emerged from Nobunaga's body as it wrapped itself all over him.

"What is that?" Gon muttered.

"Chains?" Killua switched off her electricity as she recalled Kurapika attacking Nobunaga with his chains when he appeared. She knew those chains were different from the ones Kurapika normally uses. She gazed down at Kurapika and saw that his eyes were redder than she has ever seen. She nearly chattered her teeth at the dangerous aura that he was emitting. "T-This is different from before...this vibe...is he channeling his dragon power? Wait a second...This feeling is familiar." She went deep into thought as she tried to remember Kurapika's profile on the death list. "Did he drink the death dragon's blood?!"

In front of Leora and Gon's eyes, the dark chains severed Nobunaga's body into shreds.

More blood splattered in the air as Leora and Gon backed up to the edge of the roof. "What the heck is going on with him?" Leora trembled. Weren't they supposed to be immortal? Something is terribly wrong here!

"Nobunaga! Speak to me! Nobunaga!" Shalnark ran to his broken body but before he could touch it...the body disintegrated into ashes and a dark mist swirled in the air above him. Nobunaga died in front of him, just like that. No last words, no "I died valiantly in battle" he was just…ashes now. "No, this can't be from the dimensional laws. What...What did you guys do to him?!" His shocked eyes darted to Gon and Leora with a dangerous glare.

"If I were you, I would leave this dimension now." Kurapika appeared behind Shalnark as the werewolf froze. "Unless..." His hand transformed into a dark menacing dragon claw as it was inches away from squashing Shalnark's head. "You want to die too?" His dark red eyes along with the sadistic expression on his face was not the prettiest sight to behold.

Shalnark didn't even have to turn himself around to see Kurapika's menacing expression, he could already imagine it in his mind. He felt the nail of Kurapika's claw lightly touching his neck as small black chains started to sprout from his fingertips. Shal shivered as sweat trickled down his face profusely. His body was frozen in fear, but his mind raced to find the quickest solution. "T-There's no way I can deal with this if Nobunaga is really dead! And even if I go all out, I'm the one who would be at a disadvantage! The only reason I was on the defense is because I can't do much in this form, but I gotta tell everyone what happened!" Shalnark took Kuroro's advice into account.

"If something unexpected happens and you're unable to decipher the situation, retreat back to base asap and report with Nobunaga." He remembered Kuroro's words.

"Kurapika!" Leora yelled.

Since Leora distracted Kurapika, Shalnark took the opportunity to use a ticket from his pocket and placed a portal below his feet and dropped himself into it.

A drop of silence occurred as everyone took a moment to catch their breaths. "I...really thought I was going to die…"

"Me too." Gon could only agree with Leora as he dropped the rock he picked up. "Kurapika? Are you okay?"

Killua hovered over the roof to check on everyone, "Nobunaga...really is dead. What's going on? How was he able to kill him but I couldn't?" She thought to herself, "If Kurapika managed to kill him with his dragon's blood, but then there's that bullet…Which one is it? The dragon's blood or the holy water bullet? Unless both of them…"

"Kurapika! What's wrong?" Killua heard Leora's voice and she sounded frantic. "Say something man!" She was about to walk over to him.

"Don't come any closer!" He yelled as his red eyes intensified.

Leora stopped in her tracks, "H-Hey, I'm not worried about the blood splattering thing and that yandere look if you're thinking about that! Turn your eyes off man! You know what? I think…we all need a vacation." She exasperated as she finally calmed her nerves, "Come on, let's head back and I'll grab you some coffee. It'll probably help with those instinct thing of yours too. How does that sound? I swear I won't spike it." She tried to lighten the mood to get everyone back into their normal pace.

Kurapika eyed at Leora's hand that was held out to him. He gritted his teeth to suppress the surging killing instincts that still dwelled within him. He didn't want to repeat the same actions that Killua did not too long ago. "After…I calm down." He shakily replied as he placed his hand on his forehead, "My eyes are still red. Until I can turn them back to normal, I can't move from here." He wearily smiled, "Please wait for me."

Leora grinned, "Sure!"

The rain eventually stopped and Gon let out a breath that he didn't know he was holding. Killua swooped down to him and asked if he was alright, which he replied yes. "Did you channel too much dragon's blood? It looks like you over did it?" Killua voiced.

"A little. I'm a bit confused about something though." Kurapika felt a terrible pang of pain as he seethed his teeth.

"I'm confused too! Why do you still have that swirly dark mist of blackness around you? Is that supposed to be normal? Are you really okay?" Leora pointed at him.

"Is it like a curse or something?" Gon wondered.

"Actually…" An indescribable chill unexpectedly went down Killua's spine when she felt a savage aura coming from Kurapika. She realized that it wasn't his blood eyes that were intimidating her; it was what he could become that made her snap back into reality.

"I want the three of you to listen to what I'm going to say. This is very important." Zeno said.

Killua promptly remembered this moment. She was with Alluka and Kalluto at the time. The three gazed at their grandfather with their small curious eyes. "It's always bad drinking other creature's blood if they don't agree with your system. I want you three to read and remember this list of beings you can and cannot feed on alright?" Their grandfather passed a scroll filled with images of what to feed and what not to feed.

"System?" Alluka asked.

"We can feed off creatures that are lower than us, but there are certain bloods out there that can easily take control of your own body and soul. When that happens, they carry a risk of going out of control."

"But how?" Kalluto tilted his head..

"The blood they drink will drastically change them. They may get new powers from it, and they might be able to control it. However, no matter how strong they are, that other blood will make them go out of control at some point if they use it too much. Their bloods get imbalanced and they can transform when things get ugly. Although, that depends on their mixed type. They are rare occurrences and you may not meet many throughout your lifetime, but if you do meet a mixed blooded being, always keep this in mind."

"Shit, this is bad! Leora! Move!" Killua spun her foot on the ground to get some electric momentum and leaped towards Kurapika.

"Wait, what?!" Leora jumped back.

"I'm sorry Kurapika, but I gotta knock you out!" She swung her arm at Kurapika from behind, but the oozing mist that was emitting from him grew a limb and seized her arm. "Wha?!" Gon and Leora quickly tried to pull Killua out of its grasp while Kurapika was being engulfed by the dark mist.

"Kurapika!" Gon yelled, "Hang in there! We'll get you out too!"

"We can't now!" Killua yelled as she was freed from the dark substance. She immediately took Leora and Gon's hand and flew down the building.

"What about Kurapika!?" Leora exclaimed bewildered at everything.

Her question was answered by a deafening roar.

HXHXHXHXHXHXH

A glistening metal dragon cried out as its horrid voice echoed throughout the area. Pietro was by Palm's dark magic club stand with Ponzu and Pokkle (who successfully gave back the hat to Ponzu to redeem his manliness).

Pietro's eyes were fixated on the roof of the abandoned science building. "Holy…is that CGI or is that dragon really real?" He gaped at the monster.

"It could be a float?" Pokkle commented.

"I heard that the science club was working on something...maybe it was that?" Palm said. "I think they were making a robot of sorts." She still had her messy curly hair covering the front of her face.

"It looks kinda cool! But it's going to break down that building over there…that's kind of sad." Ponzu sighed. Some people in crowd were thinking around the same lines as they viewed the giant beast that was perched on the roof. Others watched the dragon's movements thinking it was real and ran when they saw the creature stomping its feet on the roof.

Pietro observed his surroundings thinking that he should report this to the head office and was going to sprint there until he remembered something crucial. "Wait…" Pietro mumbled, "Isn't Leora still there?!"

First, gigantic wings sprouted from the small dark dome of mist. A large silver head materialize from the swirling mist as its long neck uncurled and stretched out like a giraffe. Blood splattered on the ground when its big torso attempted to slither out of the dark grasp it was in. A giant silver dragon emerged with its piercing red eyes shifting from side to side as it roared out loud.

The three of them were in awe as they assessed the current circumstance that they were trapped in. "He's in pain." Gon said. "Look!" The black mist that engulfed Kurapika earlier was also trying to seize the dragon.

"Wait a second, is that dragon really…Kurapika?!" Leora gaped at the scene.

"I can't imagine anyone else that would turn into a dragon around here." Killua answered.

"But how? And why? And…why?" Once again, Leora was confused.

"That mist came out from Nobunaga's corpse right?" Killua began to deduct the scenario. "The reason it formed that way is possibly because of a curse. Since Kurapika was at the borderline of using too much dragon's blood, he instinctively transformed so that he can counteract it…but…he probably lost control of himself at the same time."

"You gotta be kidding me? Everyone probably heard that roar from miles away! What if the police and random people come here? What are we going to do?" Leora pointed back at the festival.

The earth rumbled underneath them as they tried to keep their footing stable. The dragon's red eyes intensified as he peered at his friends below. He lowered his head to them and screeched another desperate cry while revealing the sharp jaws of his gaping mouth. The three dashed into the other building without a second thought while screaming. "How are we going to get him back to normal?" Gon asked frantically.

"First thing we need to do is subdue that mist, then hopefully Kurapika can gain control of himself again! Leora, are there any bottles around here?" Killua turned to her.

"Will a beaker do?" Leora opened a cupboard in the science classroom they just entered and took out an empty triangular beaker with a cork covering the opening. Killua took it away from her and bit her thumb to let her blood flow and wrote foreign symbols on the glass.

The dragon painfully turned his head around since the mist was suppressing his movements. His eyes were locked at the festival. "He's looking over there! Crap!" Killua knew that if he were to fly over there, then it'll be more complicated getting him back to his original state. Plus they have to deal with all the panicking humans running around in fear.

"I'll handle it!" Gon ran out the hallway and quickly opened a case that had a fire extinguisher inside. He jumped through the window and held up the nozzle. When he switched it on, he sprayed the carbon dioxide at the dark mist in attempt to push it away from Kurapika. It caught Kurapika's attention and turned to look at his back, but the mist encased his legs which caused him to trip and fall down.

As he crashed, the building he stood on top of was demolished from his heavy fall. Gon was blown back from the impact and rolled on the ground. "Killua! I can't blow it away!" He yelled. When Gon turned back around to see Kurapika, the dragon's head crept up to Gon. He noticed how Kurapika was struggling in pain to get away from the darkness.

Before the dragon could attempt anything, Killua appeared behind Kurapika and latched herself behind his neck. He jerked back instinctively and forcefully began to shake her off. "Kurapika! Don't you dare do anything stupid!" Killua reprimanded.

"He might still be in there! Try not to hurt him!" Gon immediately stood back up and ran behind the dragon.

"I know! Easier said than done!" Killua tried her best to hold on as Kurapika was about to take flight. She strained her face and clutched the beaker with her other hand.

"Wait! Let's re-group and- GON?!" Leora was alarmed as she saw him jump on Kurapika's dragon tail.

He climbed to where Killua was and noticed the beaker in her hand, "What are you planning to do with that?"

"What are you doing up here?!" Killua gasped.

"I can't let you do everything by yourself!" He retaliated with confidence.

Killua was dazed by Gon's answer at first, but then she quickly smiled in appreciation. "I'm trying to get some of his blood in this." She explained as the both of them held on for their lives. "It's an old trick. If I can get a bit of in here, I can attract the mist into it and seal it in. It's the only way I know how to deal with this thing. Lift up his scale for me." Killua was holding on with one hand and had the beaker in the other so she couldn't do it. Gon raised a small part of Kurapika's metallic scale and Killua sliced the skin underneath as lightly as she could. Apparently it wasn't light enough as he cried out loud.

Killua successfully managed to get a single drop in the beaker. "I got it! Grk!" She was cut off by the grainy mist subjugating her neck from behind. It swirled around Killua's body to restrain her movements.

"No way, it's after us too?!" Gon was going to call out to her and reach out his hand, but his leg was also suddenly engulfed by the same dark substance. "Give me your hand!" Gon strived to grab her hand. Since Killua was unable to reply to him, she tried to fight her free hand through the dark smog.

"I can't shake it off with my electricity! Is it trying to get the beaker?" Killua tried her best to emit any kind of spark or move her wings, but the dark substance prevented her from doing anything.

Both of them were growing apart from each other as they were slowly being covered by the mist that was controlling Kurapika. They could only see their faces and the tips of their fingers desperately reaching out for each other.

"Hey! Don't forget me! Hang on you two!" Leora hollered as she ran out in fright of what was happening to them. "Cover your heads!" She picked up the extinguisher that Gon dropped and sprayed it at the darkness at Kurapika's feet and moved it over to the mist that was covering Gon and Killua. She made sure to spray the edge of the mist and it was agitated enough to flee away from the chemical.

The haze temporarily brushed itself away from Kurapika's body and Gon and Killua safely reemerged from it's grasp. Leora was smart enough to not spray it directly at anyone (A/N: This stuff is dangerous! Don't spray it at people in real life!). Kurapika landed on the ground once again and shook his feet fervently.

"Okay, hold it right there you stupid black mist thing!" Leora threatened as she pointed the nozzle at the spiraling mist. "You better get away from them right now. If you don't, you'll have to answer to this baby right here! If you're that werewolf from earlier, where did all of that talk go? Huh?! You think you can play around silent huh?! If you're still a man, you better fight like one and bring your ass over here!"

"Leora!" Gon gasped but Killua place her hand on his shoulder to silence him and whispered that she'll go over if it get bad.

"I'm sorry! I didn't think a nasty, black, mist thing is scared of a little human girl and a fire extinguisher!" She continued to taunt it. The mist stopped circling Kurapika as it gradually hovered its way over to Leora. "You wanna fight? Bring it on!" To her horror, the mist began changing form. It morphed into an image of Nobunaga's lupine face and its current size surpassed Kurapika's dragon head. It howled as it traveled towards Leora while opening its hollow mouth. "Oh my god…S-Stay away from me!" She immediately regretted her decision as she chucked the fire extinguisher into its mouth and ran away.

Kurapika was still blinded by madness when he saw the mist taking Nobunaga's form. Heat accumulated in the back of his throat and then he exhaled a blast of fire towards the soaring extinguisher. It exploded with a loud BOOM! And it released all the carbon dioxide that was in the container and created a giant cloud of smoke. The smoky image of Nobunaga became entangled within the carbon dioxide and looked around to find its way out. Thankfully, Leora ran far enough to avert the cloud of carbon dioxide and the explosion doesn't seem to affect Kurapika in his current state.

"Kurapika can breath fire?" Despite Leora and Gon being far away from each other, they both had the same reaction.

"This isn't the time to be amazed, we have to move from here. Take the beaker and I'll lure that mist over to you!" Killua tossed the container to Gon and he nodded his head. They both slid off Kurapika's back to avoid inhaling the smoke and the cabon dioxide. Kurapika started blowing the smoke away by flapping his large metallic wings.

"I should hit…" Killua caught a glint of darkness within the carbon dioxide. "There!" She emitted another shock of electricity to Nobunaga's look-alike and the mist screeched. It vigorously wriggled its way out of the white gas and twisted itself back to Kurapika's direction.

The gust of wind that was coming from the dragon's wings was pushing the mist away so Gon took advantage of that and ran up to it and held up the beaker. The blood that was inside the glass pulsated and it sucked in the mist like a vacuum cleaner.

"Close it! Close it!" Leora dashed up to Gon to help force the cork into the opening. Killua eventually came down and helped the two of them. Finally, they manage to restrain the mist and the blood stained markings that were written on the beaker glowed indicating that there was no way for the mist to escape. The three panted exhausted as Gon held the sealed beaker in his hands. "I am never gonna to do that ever again! Are you two with me?" Leora protested resentfully. A muffled growl came behind them as the dragon marched his way to them. "Wait? I thought getting rid of this thing would help him! He still looks like he lost it!"

"It's because his eyes are still red! We gotta calm him down!" Killua flew straight to him and Kurapika caught her in his humongous jaws.

"Killua!" Gon cried.

"I'm…fine!" Killua steadied herself as she used her arms and feet to prevent Kurapika's mouth from closing on her.

"I'm going to go and help Killua! You stay there!" Gon told Leora as he ran to climb on Kurapika's back again.

Leora wasn't good at using her physical strength, so she had no idea how to go about helping the two of them. "Maybe I need to say something of shock value…What would make him snap out of it immediately? The whole 'can you remember us' tactic probably won't work...so I should try..." She thought out loud, "Hey! Do you remember the time when Ponzu gave you a makeover while you were sleeping? And you didn't realize your face was a mess until your professor pointed it out?"

Kurapika violently swayed to shake Gon off his back and he fought to stay on. Leora thought that he didn't hear her, but slowly but surely his eyes were calming down. However, no one was aware of it yet.

"That didn't work…errr, how about the time Pokkle spiked your drink and we recorded you on camera and showed it to you the next morning?" She received no reaction from Kurapika as Killua flew out of his jaws being unable to hold it up anymore.

"Leora! Get away from here!" Killua yelled as she saw Kurapika neck stretching towards Leora.

She couldn't hear Killua's warning from all of the rustling noises, "I know! How about that time I dyed your hair pink? It was a blast! It was all Pokkle's idea though and for some reason you disappeared on us for two weeks-Oh my god?!" She fell back in shock when Kurapika face came up to her.

"WHAT?!" The dragon hollered.

"…What?" Gon and Killua repeated weakly.

Leora blinked as the dragon who now had cerulean blue eyes, "It was you who did that?!" Kurapika demanded.

She continued to gape at the talking dragon dumbly, "Um…I…" Leora pinched herself to get rid of the weird look on her face, "I kinda...snuck in your room and messed with the shampoo you had. I didn't know you used L'oreal." That was the sentence that escaped from her mouth.

"You realize how hard it was to get it back to normal?! What made you guys do that?!"

"Uh…oh…" Gon sweat-dropped.

"...It sounds like you know of this situation?" Killua eyed at him.

"Errr…" Gon remembered the time Kurapika came to visit him by himself. He was surprised that Leora wasn't with him, but when he removed his hat that was hiding his hideous pink hair…Gon couldn't help but feel bad for him (of course he laughed at him for a while. Who wouldn't?) He did his best to help get his hair get back to normal since Kurapika was mentally traumatized by the color. Before Kurapika left, he told him to never mention what happened to anyone. "So that's how it happened…" He weakly muttered as Killua looked at him confused.

"Are you planning to tell me?" Killua pestered him.

"Maybe later...but he got over it so quickly..."

"It probably takes about a minute or so to recover from that mist that blinded him. Since he used a lot of energy to transform, he probably exhausted his strength from his rampage and his eyes would easily revert to normal from blowing so much steam. Or...the whole hair dye thing really traumatized him and that made his brain click back to normal?" Killua shrugged her shoulders at her last statement as Gon weakly giggled. "We got lucky...for now." She harshly thought.

"It was Pokkle's fault! Ask him!" Leora retorted. Apparently...they were still yelling at each other.

"But why did you go along with it?!" Kurapika barked.

"I thought it'd be fun! You were pretty grumpy at that time so we wanted you to lighten up! Chillax, at least it wasn't permanent." Leora waved her hand, "Now that you got that out of your system can you…um...look normal again? You look really cool and awesome now, but I'm literally straining my neck to look up at you. Can you do something about that?"

"What do you mean?" Kurapika was confused.

Killua dramatically fell down and Gon began to laugh. "Kurapika! Over here!" Gon called him as the dragon turned his long neck…long neck? Gon slid off his back so that Kurapika could understand the situation.

He swerved his head to one of the broken windows on the ground and became frightened at the state he was in. "H-How?! I…Wait, what did I do while I was like this?! Did I hurt any of you?!" He shakily asked them.

"You nearly ate us, but we're fine. Just focus on switching back." Killua notified him.

"I'm...so sorry." Kurapika frowned. "I remember now…that mist was there…" A sizzling sound was heard as his body glowed red and the next minute he assumed his original form once more. He kneeled to the ground disappointed in himself. "I didn't think...I thought I could hold it in but..." He seethed. "How could I let this happen?! Damn it!" He punched the ground.

"It's not your fault Kurapika! The people from the Ryoudan were here too." Gon convinced him. "You couldn't help it right?"

"But that's exactly why I can't express how sorry I am to all of you...I made you guys go through something terrible...and seeing me like that. I lost control because of my anger…No it wasn't just my anger..."

"It's okay!" Gon beamed, "I thought you looked cool too! You breathed fire and it was really fun riding on your back!" Kurapika was nearly grief-stricken at Gon's response, "Don't worry, you didn't hurt anyone! I swear!" He quickly reassured him. "But you shouldn't feel bad about it! You helped us too!"

"Relax Kurapika. Gon and I were trained by a ditzy ninja teacher back in high school. We're not that easy to get rid of! Danger is our middle names!" Leora proudly placed her hands on her hips.

"...I believe you guys attract 'too' much danger to yourselves..." Kurapika muttered which the three retorted: 'It's not our faults!"

"Now that you've settled down, next time do us a favor and use that dragon overkill mode on the Ryoudan instead." Killua snorted, "And...I'm sorry that I couldn't knock you out fast enough."

"I'm not planning to blame any of you for what happened. If anything...I should thank all of you." Kurapika expressed his gratitude as Gon and Leora beamed at him.

"I still want an explanation about the death dragon blood you have." Killua crossed her arms.

"I promise I'll tell you everything you need to know later." Kurapika replied.

"Well since we're still on topic, did you know that they're immortal?" Killua raised her eyebrow. "I literally sliced off Nobunaga's head 10 minutes ago."

"No, I was unaware of that fact." Kurapika began, "Although, I felt that there was something off about his body through my chains. The source of it was concentrated by his chest. Do you happen to know anything about that?"

"Maybe that bullet did work?" Gon muttered as he looked at Leora who had a blank look on her face.

"What bullet?" Kurapika asked.

"I'll explain that later. Tell me more about the irregularity in his body." Killua grew even more curious.

"It felt like...whatever power source he initially had was severed. It's hard to describe what happened into words..." Kurapika noticed the beaker that was in Gon's hand. "What's that?"

"That…I have no idea. It's probably some sort of curse since it came out of Nobunaga's body and it was literally trying to consume you so I made a temporary seal for it." Killua took the beaker from Gon and passed it to Kurapika. "I used the same spell once to capture the little shadow tribe from Falsentria to kill them since they were so tiny. I wrote Alterian letters on the beaker with my blood, so if it ever dries out, we'll probably end up in the same situation again. You figure out a way to deal with this since you're obsessed with those people." She displayed her bleeding thumb.

Kurapika sternly gazed at the beaker in his hands. "Is this…what I think it is?"

"You know what it is?" The three huddled around him.

"If...I'm...correct…" Kurapika couldn't complete his sentence because he suddenly collapsed on the floor.

"Kurapika!" Gon shook him.

"He's fast asleep..." Leora tapped his cheek but she got no response.

"It's because he used too much energy and I bet he would of fainted sooner or later. Let's get him back-"

"Hey! Is anyone around here!?" Killua was cut off by Ponzu's voice.

"Leora! Are you here?! Answer me!" Pietro's voice echoed.

"Oh...crap." Leora shuttered.

"We'll leave this one to you. Come on Gon, let's hurry out of here." Killua grabbed Gon's hand and ran off with him.

"You're ditching me?!" Leora cried.

"Duh, you'll figure something out~" Killua and Gon waved at her as they made their escape. They couldn't afford to be caught on the premises anyway so they had the perfect reason to leave Leora on her own...

"Why is my life so cruel?" Leora just wanted a normal relaxing summer! She wanted to eat at her favorite restaurants, go to the beach, and maybe get some booze and coffee, but no...Now she has to explain why there's a disheveled hot blond guy on the floor. "Kurapika owes me a full fledge vacation!"

"There you are! We heard random noises and explosions and roaring and all sorts of stuff! What's going on-Whoa dude! What happened to Kurapika?! Where did that dragon thing go?" Pokkle ran up to them.

"Hey, I thought you were in the washroom?" Pietro asked. "What's with the blood and stuff on your arm?"

"Errrrr you see..." Leora gulped…INITIATING LYING MODE! "I went to the washroom like I said but the building suddenly shook and things came down on me and stuff! By the time I got out, this place was a mess and I just found Kurapika on the ground!"

"You didn't see a dragon? There was one on the roof and everything! But it kinda went away after we saw some smoke." Pokkle mentioned.

"Dragon? You must be drunk. I saw no such thing! You realize this isn't an anime right? Stop making up weird things on me."

"But it's true! I swear!" Pokkle tried to convince her.

"Maybe you were knocked out and that's why you didn't see it. Everyone in the festival saw it." Palm said.

"For real? Crap! Did anyone video record it?" She asked frantically rather than excitedly since Kurapika wouldn't live if down if his other form was displayed on the internet.

"A few did but forget about that, let's get you guys to the infirmary. Pie, you carry Kurapika." Ponzu looked at him.

"Aw man, why do I have to do it?" Pietro complained.

"Because, you're the no homo guy." Pokkle joked.

"Haha." Pietro put Kurapika on his back and gave him a piggyback ride. Leora followed everyone out of the building.

"Why do I feel...uneasy?" As Killua watched Leora lying through her teeth, she felt an ominous sensation in the back of her mind. "Something isn't right." Images of Leora communicating with Kurapika as a dragon appeared in her head and that made her even more unsettled. "If Leora really snapped Kurapika out of it...no...not even that, Shalnark probably noticed the small hesitation Kurapika had when Leora called out to him earlier. What am I leaving out here?" She bit the nail on her thumb, "If anyone get's their hands on the beaker, they can look up the memories of what occured...but right now Leora is in more danger than I thought! With the bullet she used and because she's so close to Kurapika, the Genei Ryoudan will obviously go after her. But...There's something missing..." She glanced at the ring on her finger, "If Kuroro really has Neon's ability of prediction, then shouldn't he be preventing these events from happening? He's not the type to sacrifice his own comrades like that. Just how-"

"Killua?" Gon's voice interrupted her thoughts, "Are you thinking about something? You have this serious look on your face."

"...Yeah." She muffled, "I'll tell you later, it's complicated."

"I can handle it! Tell me!" He proudly raised his hand.

She sighed, "Alright, but promise me that your brain won't fry."

"Promise!" After she told him what was on her mind, Gon's simplest response was: "We just have to protect Leora then!"

Killua comically dropped to the ground, "You make it sound like it's the most easiest thing in the world."

"It is easy! Kurapika is with her too remember?" Gon pointed out, "Besides, there might be something that Kuroro doesn't know about the prediction powers he has."

"It's possible..." They both turned to see Leora and her friends walking out of the area.

"I feel bad for not helping Leora though..." Gon whispered.

"There's no reason for us to be there. Don't feel bad about it. Besides, we should try to get rid of any obvious evidence and head back to the dorm." Killua got up from her hiding spot and Gon followed her.

During the 15 minutes they had, Gon cleaned away the blood from the ground while Killua used the power of electricity to disintegrate all of the evidence she could find. Gon pulled her back to the dorms before she went overboard though...(And more people came to investigate what happened so they had no choice but to scramble.) They both carried the skateboard and the broken fishing rod respectively.

When they entered Leora's room, they found Kurapika on the bed asleep and Leora was also snoring. After they visited the infirmary, Leora told her friends she'll drop Kurapika back in his room. Since she was too lazy to walk all the way over to Kurapika's room (which was further than her room), she brought him to her place instead and decided to take a nap because she was tired from running around. "Oh...Mmm~" Killua hummed deviously.

"What is it?" After Gon changed into a clean shirt, he lifted Leora so that he can place her properly on the bed.

"No, don't do it just yet." She urged him to come closer and whispered something in his ear.

Gon's expression turned grim. "They'll kill us if we did that..." Nervous sweat rolled down his face.

"It's alright~ They won't know what hit them! Let's have some fun!" She laughed evilly.

Minutes later...

Gon was forced to put Leora beside Kurapika on the bed and the two wrote random scribbles on their faces using several colored markers.

The result:

1: Leora and Kurapika's faces became rainbows.

2: Gon and Killua...might get killed in the next few hours...

3: Killua doesn't really care about what they did…but Gon does.

"That's what they get for earlier!" Killua cackled.

Gon giggled at the 'masterpiece' they created...but he had a feeling he won't be prepared for their wrath when they wake up. "How's your leg holding up?"

"It's okay. It'll look normal again in an hour or so. When Kurapika wakes up, ask him to heal your shoulder." She un-wrapped the bandages to show her almost healed leg.

"If he's willing to…" Gon wasn't too sure if he would after they ruined their faces. He plopped himself on the other bed and sighed. He can finally recover from all the current aches he was suffering from. He doesn't want to be thrown into a wall ever again.

Killua joined Gon and laid beside him. She then stared at Leora purse and tapped Gon's shoulder, "Can you pass me the gun for a moment? I want to see something." Gon opened Leora's purse that was beside him and passed the small gun to her. Killua sat up and unloaded the bullets on the bed. She kept her distance away from them as she critically observed them.

"They smell like water." Gon picked up the blue bullet.

"They're probably made from holy water...but I don't know what else could be in them. Since we have an idea of what they can do, they could be the key to kill off the Ryoudan for good. I need to find out more about them and ask Kurapika about his dragon's blood later. That combination might have caused Nobunaga's death since we couldn't take him out by normal means." She crossed her arms, "But how is it possible to get holy water in a solid shape like that?"

"Can't you just ask the person who made them in the first place?" Gon suggested as he sat up.

Killua silently grabbed his hand...and laughed. "You're right. I don't know if Bisuke is still in the area though. We have two more days before Senritsu comes for us right? We can search for her until then. If we can't find her, we'll have to give up since we don't know how long we're going to stay in Falsentria."

"Okay." Gon nodded. "Let's tell Kurapika about Bisuke when he wakes up."

"Sure, I don't think he'll have much of a problem with it. Although, two days might not be enough...Actually, if it was only one day..." Killua mumbled quietly.

"You mean to find Bisuke? It should be enough time."

"No, not just that..." Killua's eyes shifted to the beaker that was on Leora's study desk, "Kurapika killed Nobunaga for good right? This might be bad..."

"Why?"

"The only thing that the Genei Ryoudan will do next is..."

Earlier in the caves of Alteria...

"Shalnark! Are you okay?" Bonolenov and Kortopi ran over to him. Shalnark safely traveled back to the Genei Ryoudan's base. He was on the ground trying to catch his breath.

Shalnark wheezed heavily, "I'm fine now. Thanks." He took the towel Kortopi offered him and wiped the sweat from his face.

"You couldn't retrieve his body?" Bonolenov asked.

"Sadly I couldn't. I'm sorry..." Shalnark opened his hand to show a small amount of Nobunaga's ashes.

"The phoenix tear* I have won't be of any use then." Kuroro had the book opened to a specific page, but then he closed it.

"Kurapika again?" Machi folded her arms. "This isn't the first time he's been trying to kill us. But it's so strange, how was he able to take out Nobunaga? Danchou, you weren't able to predict this right?"

"Precisely. They might have something that is disrupting the future that we try to predict. It's only logical since it's been happening too often." Kuroro answered.

"You have it all recorded right? Let us see what happened." Franklin held out his hand to Shalnark as he took out his cell phone and passed it to him. Franklin then gave it to Pakunoda and she strolled over to where Kuroro was. They all assembled when she created a magic projection to show the video. They all watched Nobunaga's demise on the holographic screen.

A low growl was heard and everyone stopped to look at Uvogin. He held his clenched fist enraged...

And screeched a terrifying roar.

Thankfully, everyone managed to cover their ears in time. "I'll kill him!" Uvogin stomped on the ground as their base shook. "DANCHOU! I will fucking kill him for killing Nobu!"

"Calm down, let's analyze the video properly and see what went wrong." Shalnark asked Paku to start from the beginning while Franklin held Uvo back.

"That chain he shot there was black...Does it have to do with some sort of spell?" Shizuku asked.

"I don't think so. He drank dragon's blood according to the records...I think it was the death dragon. He's just channeling the power of it." Franklin recalled.

"Nobunaga couldn't break from the chains the first time and needed Shalnark's help. The normal chains over there were actually disguised as dark chains, but Nobunaga couldn't tell from his point of view. The chains seems to have the same magical effect, but it looks like Kurapika made those ones breakable on purpose." Kortopi pointed at the labyrinth of chains on the screen.

"He was probably stalling for time before he could make his move. See?" Machi pointed at the screen. "When he closed his palm, Nobunaga died at the same moment. Maybe he was waiting for some conditions to be met before he did it. When the chains first hit him...rewind there for a moment." She requested, "Some of them were melting into Nobunaga's body so that could also be the cause."

"It highly possible. But since he's a mixed being, using the blood's power will definitely put a strain on his body. I'd say that by the time Shalnark left, he probably lost control of himself." Pakunoda folded her arms. "You can tell by his eyes that he channeled too much power. He probably tried to take both you and Nobunaga out at the same time."

"Shal managed to escape before he could kill him though." Franklin completed with a shrug.

"What's the deal then? Would it be easier to kill him if he's in that state?" Uvogin calmed down thanks to Franklin.

"Not necessarily. Death dragons are difficult to kill unless you take the right steps." Feitan told them. "In this case, he's probably vulnerable if he uses his dragon's power as a demon. I tried going up against those dragon's one time. They're pretty feisty, but challenging them is fun." Feitan raised his hand.

"The mist that emanated from Nobunaga's body…" Kuroro murmured quietly as he held his hand to his chin. "The truth of it is…" He silently gazed at the bookmark of Pairo. "It won't be long before he figures out…Isn't that right Pairo?" He didn't expect the bookmark to answer his internal question. He rubbed his thumb on the small gem on the top left hand corner of the bookmark and was about to press it like a button, but he refrained himself from doing so.

"There's also the bullet that human girl shot earlier." Bonolenov also pointed at the screen, "Maybe that has something to do with his death. See? He seems to be moving slower on his right side."

Kuroro hummed thinking that there was something amiss about the footage. He figured that there was something crucially important that he might be skipping out on. He turned his head to Pakunoda, "Paku, can you rewind about a minute or two?" After a couple of moments, he raised his finger. "Pause." Pakunoda stopped the video as Kuroro carefully analyzed the image until something caught his eye. "What is that ring that human girl is wearing? It looks oddly familiar."*

"Ring?" Shalnark turned back to the projection, "The one with the glasses?" He pointed at Leora.

"...Isn't that a foresight ring?" Pakunoda answered from her observation, "It's often confused with a protector's ring because of the gem's design, but the difference is that only a foresight ring has a golden rim on the edges. It's a rare item from Mythica that prevents any sort of magic to track the person that is wearing it." She zoomed in the image to show everyone a better view of the ring.

"So that's why..." Kuroro mumbled.

"Why what?" Feitan looked up.

"Pakunoda…nice catch. I didn't expect them to have such an item. That ring is the reason it was so difficult to use this ability since it magically interferes with the future. As long as that human is with them, we'll only see the future 'if' she wasn't with them." Kuroro opened his book again, "And when we try to view the real future, it turns black since the ring is interfering between the future it could have been and the real future."

"I get it now! When I was trying to track the three of them before Kurapika showed up, I only picked up two signals! Should we kill her?" Shalnark asked.

Shizuku brought up a small book from her pocket, "In order to dispel the foresight ring's magic, you must extract it from its user while they're still alive. Which means if we kill her, the effect of the ring could still be intact." She recited.

"That's sounds troublesome. I'll think of a way to handle it." Franklin raised his hand.

"Alright, we'll leave that to you Franklin. Phinks, do we have enough dimension tickets for all of us?" Kuroro asked.

"Of course, but we could only get a two-day limit for each dimension. The offer was on special the other day." Phinks answered.

"Two days is all we need. Can anyone get in contact with Hisoka?" Kuroro looked around.

"Nope. I assume he's still stuck in Gorgan's Heild." Machi informed as she shrugged her shoulders.

Kuroro's cell phone suddenly chimed informing him of a new text message. He took out his phone to read it:

Illumi: Yo. I'm able to use this enhancer to my advantage, but I can't use it to its full potential since I still have the witch's curse on me. It'll take me a while for me to get rid of it.

"I see." Kuroro mumbled as he replied to his message. He was aware that anytime someone kills a witch, a temporary curse latches on the user that kills them as a backlash. "He might still be useful though."

Kuroro: I have another request for you. The details are within the attached file.

He sent the attachment he created on the spot and waited for Illumi's answer. A minute later, he received a message from him:

Illumi: I can come to that dimension if you need me to since I just got out of Gorgan's Heild not too long ago. Just deposit at least 50 thousand ferals into my usual account. I don't want to help you for free.

Kuroro: I'll deposit it now. Only appear within those coordinates at the time I mentioned in the attachment.

Illumi: Right. I'm only doing this to pay you back for the enhancer and handle a personal matter. Afterwards, don't expect me to help you anymore. I'll come after you when I'm done.

Kuroro: Do as you please~

"Now that he's available, we can move a bit more freely." Kuroro thought as he closed his phone. "We'll have to go without Hisoka. Notify him of our activities for when he does make it out." He swerved his head to the giant behind him, "Uvogin."

"Hm?!" He huffed.

"Everyone." The rest of the members also turned their focus to him.

Kuroro stood up from his seat and slowly walked over to his companions until he was in the center of their circle. He put his book inside his coat and placed his hands in his pockets.

He looked at the dark skies of Alteria and said:

"Let's pay the human dimension a small visit shall we?"

I'm sorry that pink hair dye was the only thing that came to my head. It sounded epic in my mind but it might be lame and rushed for you guys XD Since the chapters are getting longer, if you spot any stupid mistakes I missed out on, please let me know!

To Kurapika fans, I am sorry that I did that to him. Please forgive me…That transformation part was kinda necessary, but then I have a feeling most of you may not have liked that maybe? But now that it's done, I assure you guys that Kurapika won't go out of control again.

So you see, Hanzo was important! Best ninja teacher ever! He probably won't appear again, but can't you see his glorious graduating ninja students in action? His teachings have served them well! For those who are confused about some stuff and went WTF? You have no need to worry; all questions will be answered later in future chapters! Or maybe the next chapter XD

By the way...does anyone remember the foreshadowing Yu-Gi-Oh match from chapter 23? ;D

Harpie lady sisters- Killua, Leora and Gon (he was genderflipped the previous chapter...so it counts! )

Sky Scout- Shalnark

Flame Swordsman- Nobunaga (The flame part was him being on fire…*I'm sorry Nobu. I still love you*)

Blue eyes white dragon- Kurapika (Hey, if I put the Red eyes black dragon then it would have been too obvious! XD)

*Chapter 8 was when Killua broke the TV screen. I doubt anyone remembers though (If you do then, I commend your remembering skillz!)

*Bloaters- A type of zombie from the video game: The Last of Us. I revealed a game cheat actually...you can fully tell that I wrote this last year when it came out (and it strange that a year later I'm actually playing the game) The fastest way to kill them is using a Molotov cocktail and keep on shooting at them.

*Just imagine Nobunaga saying "itadakimasu!" instead of "Let's eat!" because it just sounds better that way. (It would be awkward putting random japanese words in the fic now…but putting honorifics is okay. XD)

*I forgot to reveal what kind of dragon's blood he drank in the previous chapters. It was a mistake on my part. I'm sorry that it feels random here! OTL his yandere face happened because I've been looking at too much 16no's Kurapika art.

*Phoenix tear- In real legends, stories...and Harry Potter, it's suppose to have amazing healing powers...so it's not referenced from my author name before you guys get that idea.

*Leora's ring was hinted back from chapter 21 so its not something that randomly came out of nowhere (When Bisuke was trying to remember what the ring was called but couldn't remember…? ;D )

-And yep, I wanted it to be the opposite! Instead of Uvogin getting killed, I killed Nobunaga hahahahaha...I'm terrible. I'm so sorry. OTL

But please review if you like it and if you want me to continue!
