A/N: This chapter took off on its own a bit from my original plan on how to end it. Hope everyone enjoys. The reviews are much appreciated it.

"Seth?" Celeste whimpers. She pats his face and gets no response. "No. NO!" she cries.

"Is he…" Dean can't bring himself to finish the question.

Celeste lays her hand on Seth's chest. His breathing is weak, but present. She laughs with relief and shakes her head. "No. He's still with us." she says.

Roman is still on the phone with the 911 operator and tosses Dean the car keys. "Move the car outta the way, the ambulance is coming."

Dean goes to move the car as Celeste silently prays over Seth.

The ambulance arrives. As the medics approach, Roman takes hold of Celeste's arm. "Tiny, you gotta give them room to work." He gently raises her to her feet and notices the blood trail from her elbow to her wrist. "You better let them check that at the hospital."

"What?" Celeste asks, coming out of her daze. She finally notices her own injury. "Oh. It'd be worse if Seth hadn't shoved me." The medics are ready to load Seth into the ambulance. "I wanna go with him." Celeste insists.

They notice her bloody arm. "Get up front." the woman says.

"What about your car?" Roman asks.

Celeste reaches into her pocket for the keys and hands them to him. "Go on with them, we'll be right behind you." Roman says.

Seth is taken to the trauma room and Celeste is taken to a small cubicle.

"Is life imitating art?" asks a student nurse, named Val.

"What?" Celeste asks.

"I'm a fan. I admit I was happy for you and Cena, but really enjoy you and Seth as a couple." Val explains, as she bandages Celeste's elbow.

Celeste laughs. "Did the whole world see what I couldn't?"

Before Val can reply, Dean enters. "Hey."

"The doctor said you could go out to the waiting room. We'll let you know as soon as there's word on Seth." Val explains to Celeste.

"Thank you." Celeste replies. She and Dean head to the waiting room.

"Any word on Seth at all?" Dean asks.

"I heard the medics say his vital signs were weak, but stable." Celeste answers.

"So that's kinda good I guess." Dean replies. "It's gotta be."

Celeste takes his hand. "Seth's gonna be okay." she insists.

Dean smiles. "Don't start doing your mom thing." His face turns serious. "Before you joined us, Seth was kinda the mom of the group. Even though he's the youngest, he was always looking out for me and Roman. When he passed out and I thought…" He rubs his face and sighs. "I can't lose my little brother."

Roman enters the room. "Any news?"

"Stable. I guess they are still trying to determine his exact injuries." Celeste answers.

"Well I got everything taken care of at work. None of us are going in tonight." Roman explains.

"Duh!" Dean laughs.

"Has anyone called his mother?" Celeste asks.

"No. I don't even have her number." Roman says.

"His phone is in my car." Celeste says. "I'll go call her."

"You sure?" Roman asks, handing her keys back to her.

"Yeah. I need some air." Celeste takes her keys and heads outside.

She had met Seth's mother a couple of times backstage at PPVs. Nice lady, who'd given Celeste permission to call her by her first name. Celeste looks through Seth's contacts until she finds "Mom" and dials.

"Hello Son."

"Frances, this is Celeste."

"Celeste?" There is a long pause. "What's wrong? What's happened to my son?"

Celeste takes a deep breath. "He is stable, but I don't know the extent of his injuries yet. He was hit by a car."

"What?! Where…where are you? I can never keep up with his schedule." Frances says.

"We're in Knoxville."

"Okay. I will get the next flight out and be there in a few hours. Please call me as soon as there is more news."

"I will." Celeste insists.

Celeste reenters the waiting area as the doctor is about to talk to Roman and Dean.

"How's Seth?" she asks.

"It's a miracle he isn't hurt worse." the doctor says. "He has three broken ribs at the bottom on the left. He also has a very small laceration on his spleen."
"But he's stable?" Celeste inquires.

"Yes. We are just going to monitor him to make sure there are no changes with the spleen."

"Is he awake? Can we see him?" Dean asks.

"We're getting him settled into ICU." says the doctor. "Because he is still unconscious, but there is no head trauma. Losing consciousness was likely just…."

"His body reacting to the pain and trying to rest." Celeste finishes. Everyone looks at her. "Not my first time in this place. Was here enough with my mom to almost be a doctor." She looks at the doctor and says, "Thank you." She takes Roman and Dean's hands and leads them to the elevator. "Now we'll go wait in the ICU waiting area."

Celeste called Frances with the news as she had promised, then they sit in the ICU waiting area for what feels like forever. Suddenly the phone rings. Dean hesitantly answers, "Hello?…Yes." He chuckles. "Thanks, I'll send her back." He hangs up. "Seth's awake and asking for Sparky." Celeste and Roman laugh and Celeste heads back to see Seth.

"Hey Sparky." Seth says softly when Celeste enters the room.

"Hey." she replies. "Wow. If you didn't have this oxygen on, no one would know anything was wrong with you just by looking. How are you feeling?"

"Physically…terrible." he answers. "But…as soon as I got done saying that prayer… It was like I was instantly at peace." Celeste just smiles as she listens. "To think I could have died and…"
"Shh. We don't have to think about that." Celeste says.

Seth looks into her eyes. "I meant the prayer when I said it. Did you mean what you said? Are you falling in love with me?"

She nods. "Yes."

He smiles. "That's good. Because I've been in love with you for a while."

Celeste hangs her head. "I'd had my suspicions. But…"

"It's okay. I understand." Seth assures. "Even John knew how I felt and said he appreciated me not saying anything."

"Apparently I was hiding my feelings even from myself." Celeste says.

Seth smiles. "Let's just be grateful that you did figure it out and that I didn't die. I got an idea."

"What's that?" she asks.

"Since we were gonna go to Red Lobster after our hike, why don't we make that our official first date when I get better?"

She smiles. "I would love that. Since I didn't get lunch, how about I go to the cafeteria and let Dean and Roman come see you for a minute?"

"Okay." Seth replies, beginning to feel the effects of his pain medicine. "Don't know if I can stay awake much longer anyway."

"Maybe your mom will be here by the time you wake up." Celeste says.

"My mom?" Seth inquires.

"Yeah. I called her. I started off telling her you were stable so I didn't completely terrify her. I'm gonna go get Dean and Roman." Due to the awkward position of the bed she can only kiss his hand. "I love you."

Roman and Dean enter Seth's room. "Hey little brother. You gave us a hell of a scare." Roman says.

"What happened to your ninja skills?" Dean teases. "You should've been able to jump over that car."

"Maybe next time." Seth jokes.
"The bastard that ran you down better hope we don't catch him and kick his ass." Dean insists.

"It was a girl." Seth claims. "Just a kid. She looked as scared as I was."

The tall, slim, strawberry-blonde digs through her wallet. "I don't think I have enough." she tells the cashier.

"I got it." Celeste says, reaching the cashier her debit card.

The girl turns her head and her eyes widen in shock at the sight of Celeste. She's quiet for a moment and then softly says, "Thank you."

"No problem." Celeste responds.

As they head into the eating area, the girl approaches a table where a young boy is sitting. "OH GOSH CELESTE STAR! Susan, it's Celeste Star!"

"Who?" Susan asks.

"WWE Diva Celeste Star!" the boy insists. He sticks out his hand. "Hi. I'm Robbie! I love you and the Shield. This is my cousin Susan, she doesn't have a clue about wrestling."

"Oh?" Celeste ponders, shaking Robbie's hand. "You looked at me like you recognized me." she says to Susan.

"I got a poster of you and the Shield in my bedroom." Robbie explains. "She's seen it."

"Yeah. I…guess that's where I know you from." Susan stammers.
