It's a month later, and the castle in Olympus is decked out in the Di Angelo Royalty insignia. In the largest room, chairs have been set up, a set of thrones facing the chairs, there are a few off to the side, facing the thrones. As we watch, the chairs slowly fill up. On one side, filling up the front is the pirates and Coach. The rest are full of townspeople. A row back and about 20 people to the right is Will and Annabeth. Annabeth looks pissed off, Will is calm. Hades and Maria walked out and took the two seats that face both the audience and the thrones, holding hands. Soon, the two kings, Nico and Percy, enter the room and take their places on the thrones. The chaplain spoke the words binding Percy and Nico to the kingdom of Hale. Nico smirked at Coach, and stealthy made a gesture, which the pirates copied. Nico looked at Percy, and they both smiled. Coach looked over to where Annabeth sat, and saw Will looking at him. He winked, and Will winked back. Annabeth saw the exchange and shuddered. After Nico and Percy were crowned, the people cheered. Then it was Maria's turn. She brought over a white box, which she handed to Percy. She looked at her new sons, and smiled. "My gift to you both."
Percy thanked her, then opened it. Inside was a death candle. When they both saw, they grinned at each other. Percy set the box on his lap.
They ruled for eighty years, but no man can live forever. Except he who possesses the heart of a star, and Percy had given his to Nico completely. When their children and grandchildren were grown, it was time to light the candle.
"So, my children. You may be of the royal Di Angelo bloodline, but your heritage is an unconventional one. And you've made your ancestors very proud by discontinuing the..." Percy couldn't figure how to say it. Nico, who looked very old, spoke up. "What your father is trying to say is 'Well done for not killing each other.'"
Percy smiled at Nico, and everyone laughed. Sitting by Percy side was their daughter, Hazel. She smiled at her fathers. On Nico's side was Leo. Behind them were their spouses and children.
Percy smiled at his children, "I'm very proud."
Nico looked around, and slowly pulled the wolf stone from around his neck, "This time, we're going to do things my way. Whichever of you is next to hold the stone is the next king..."
Percy interrupted, "Or Queen."
Nico smirked at his husband, "Or Queen of Olympus."
Nico kissed the stone and was about to throw it when Percy whispered, "Low. Low. Aim low."
Nico smiled at his husband. Then he threw the stone low and it traveled out the window.
Percy saw the tears in the children, "Oh babies, you mustn't be sad. We'll watch over you always."
The children smiled at their parents. Nico opened the small box they had gotten from Maria and leaned his head on Percy shoulder. Percy pulled out the wolf candle and looked around. "Anybody have a light?"
Hazel and Leo got off the bed. Hazel pulled a candle off a nearby candelabra. She held it out to Percy and he lit the candle, thinking of home. Nico thought of nothing, just holding onto his husband. They soon disappeared from the bed. Everyone looked to the sky. Where they saw the two new stars shining.
And they still live happily ever after.
