Ashley smiled as she watched Spencer wave from the car, she closed the door and turned to find her mother. The girls spent as much time they had together before Spencer had to head home for the night. Ashley walked into the kitchen and grabbed water, looking at the mess her and Spencer made of the kitchen. With a chuckle she left to her mother office, knocking on the door before entering it.
"Mom?"
Christine looked up from her desk and smiled, her daughter has grown up so much over the years. She nodded and set down her pen, moving her chair back and standing to give Ashley a hug.
"Hey darling"
"Mom are you okay?"
"Why do you ask?"
"Well you called me darling and gave me a hug, and we both haven't gone anywhere."
"Come sit, we need to talk" Ashley walked over to the couch where her mother sat and joined her. Resting her hands on her knees, looking at her mom.
"What's going on mom?"
"Ashley do you remember when I had to tell you about your father, and I barely could tell you because I knew you were going to fall apart and loose your self?"
"Mom, what's going on" at this point Christine stood up and crossed her arms, looking down at her daughter who looked so scared.
"I'm sick Ashley"
"What do you mean? Mom please explains!" Ashley stood and looked at her mom, demanding answers with watering eyes
"I have cancer" Ashley looked at her mom like she was looking at a complete stranger.
"What kind of uuummm…"
"Breasts cancer, I'm going to need Chemo"
"Are you going to be okay?"
"I don't know"
"Does Kyla know?"
"No"
Ashley walked over and gave her mom a hug, wrapping her arms around her mother as tight as she could. She didn't know what to say, but she knew her mother needed her to be strong.

They pulled away and Ashley walked towards the door, turning to smile at her mother. Her mother and her both shared brown eyes, and she loved how her mother always kept her safe.
"I can be there when you tell Kyla if you want me to be?"
"It's okay; I think I'll tell her alone."
Ashley nodded and left the room, she walked down the hall as slow as her feet would take her. She felt her chest tighten, and her eyes getting watery. She went into her room and set down on her bed, she wiped a tear and grabbed her guitar. Soon as she was comfortable she started pluck the strings as her tears fell more. Ashley already lost one parent she couldn't loose another.

Ashley dropped the guitar and fell to her knees, tears pouring down her face. She raised her arms and smashed her floor with her fist. She gripped her rug and yelled even more, pounding her fist against the floor. She stood up and started to rip stuff of the walls and smash objects close to her. She kicked over her drums and smashed her guitars. She stood in the middle of the room, with tears pouring down her face and breathing heavy.
