"Happy New Year!" Karen said as she opened the door. "How has everyone's week been?"
"Pretty good. Glad to finally be out of the hospital." Quinn said walking in following Logan, Clay right behind them carrying the baby who was asleep in his carseat.
"How's the baby?" Karen asked leaning over to look at the baby.
"Finally sleeping." Clay said laughing a little.
"I use to put Lucas in a basket and sit it on the washer to lull him to sleep." Karen said closing the door.
"You can put his car seat in the baby's room there is a baby monitor in there. Just be quiet Joey and Penny are already napping in there." Riley said walking into the living room with Nathan and Lucas passing his sister a soda.
"Thanks Riley." Quinn said picking back up the car seat taking Wyatt to the quiet room.
"We are just waiting on Mia and Chase." Nathan said sitting down next to Haley and Brooke.
"Logan the kids are outside if you want to go play."
"Cool. Thanks Aunt Karen."
"So, Sam how is everything with Rebecca?" Haley asked watching Sam.
"She stopped calling, but I know we haven't seen the last of her. I'm just afraid she is going to show up and try to take J.J. and Penny"
"If she does we will just call Junk. 10 years later he has finally made it onto Tree Hill Police Force." Brooke said.
"Who would give Junk a gun!" Peyton yelled.
"Wait Sam? You're the teacher right?" Laurel asked trying to join the conversation.
"Oh yeah she is my English teacher." Riley said trying to explain. "Sam this is my sister Laurel."
"Oh, nice to finally meet you." Sam said leaning over to shake Laurel's hand.
"You too. Riley talks about your class a lot. I've never heard him so excited about reading."
"Well, I learned from the best." Sam said hugging Haley.
"Thanks sweetie."
"You're in college in Charlotte right?" Julian asked.
"Yes."
"Have you decided a major yet?"
"Right now I think I'm settled on film studies at the moment, but ask me again in a week and it will probably be something different."
"Actually Laurel, Julian is a director and producer of a tv show filmed here in Tree Hill."
"Really?"
"Yes, you're welcome to come to set sometime. I actually offer a paid internship over the summer if you are still interested by then."
"That would be amazing."
"We're here." Mia said walking in the door.
"Finally! Now we can eat!" Skillz said coming in from the backyard with Jake and Shelly. "Man all those kids wear me out."
"Should we call the kids in or wait?" Laurel said laughing at Skills.
"The older kids are doing a puppet show for the little ones. It's actually really cute." Shelly said holding Jake's hand as they walked into the full room.
"Where did they get the puppets?" Nathan asked.
"They are using their socks. Except for Chuck he is as entertained as the little kids."
"Lets wait then they will come in when they are hungry plus we should eat before the babies wake up." Quinn said rushing everyone to the kitchen.
"How has Jenny, Cassie and the boys been getting along?" Karen asked sitting down next to Shelly. Karen, Shelly, Jake and Haley were the only ones seated.
"Pretty great. Jenny has called every week to see if Cassie can come over or go to the movies with her and Lily. I'm pretty sure she is the only one who uses our home phone."
"I noticed Cassie has been over a lot. I thought she was just supposed to be babysitting her for you. That's sweet." Karen said smiling.
"Jenny has always wanted more sisters and since you can only get so far with a 20 month old." Jake said.
"After you picked Cassie up the other day." Haley said. "I heard Jamie and Jenny talking about Cassie. Jenny was talking about how she knows what it is like to be an only child with one parent, so she is adopting Cassie as her sister. She showed Jamie these matching bracelets she bought for Joey, Cassie and herself that say Sisters-4-Ever."
"That's sweet of her." Shelly said grabbing Jake's hand.
"She also mentioned that she would always be there for her no matter what happens between the two of you and that she really likes you Shelly."
"Mia have you found out what you are having yet?" Bevin asked once everyone was settling down at the table with their food.
"Some of us still haven't decided on if we want to know yet." Mia said pointing to Chase.
"Hey." Chase said laughing. "So you want to know?"
"I think finding out it was twins was a big enough surprise. Plus everyone wants to give their old baby clothes away and they all want it to be fair so Quinn and Haley can't get any clothes until we know."
"Of course it always comes down to clothes." Julian said laughing. Peyton kicked him.
"You do realize you married the founder of Clothes over Bros I wouldn't push your luck." Peyton said.
"I think this is the longest Wyatt has slept what has it been 45 minutes." Clay said checking his watch.
"Haley, Nate have you guys decided on a name yet?" Luke asked taking a drink of his water.
"Actually we have." Nathan said as he and Haley sat up. "Well we are having another girl."
"Please don't tell me you decided to name this one after the bunny." Brooke said cringing from the memory of the night they ate Quinn's magic brownies.
"No, we are going to call her Lucy." Nathan said laughing at Brooke.
"That's cute." "Aww." "What's her full name going to be?" Everyone said at once.
"Her full name is going to be Karen Lucille Scott." Haley said grabbing Karen's hand from across the table. Tears came to Karen's eyes, she stood up and walked around the table.
"If that's alright with you." Haley said standing up as fast as she could which still took a minute.
"Of course it is alright with me Haley." Karen said hugging Haley. "I am so proud of the person you have become. You have this wonderful soul Haley James Scott and I can only hope that this baby will be as beautiful, talent, and smart as you are."
"Thank you." Haley said crying into Karen's shoulders. "I learned it all from you."
