Chapter 28

The entire time Kate ranted onward about what a truly heartless bastard EJ was, he barely paid any attention to her. He really didn't give two fucks if she was upset or not because all her sworn vows that one day she would pay him back with misery tenfold over what he had coerced her to do to her precious fragile son Lucas were nothing more than just empty threats.

He held the power in this situation and whether Kate wanted to admit it or not, she would do whatever he told her to do or she'd face the consequences of Stefano's wrath for her adulterous whore- monging ways. As she continued to drone on endlessly over how much more damage her wimpy sniveling son Lucas would have to endure now that EJ had forced her hand to commit him to Serenity Haven EJ had finally had enough of her whining over the injustices she was having to face.

"Kate, you do know you had a choice in the matter," EJ stated calmly, his voice distinctly lower than Kate's at the moment.

Kate's face scrunched up in an even more unflattering form, making her oncoming wrinkles very much prevalent. "I had no such thing, you evil cretin!"

EJ sauntered up to her, grabbed her by the chin to hold her head still, "But you did Mumsie. You could have chosen to let my father know of your affair with your rather hypocritical self proclaiming upstanding citizen of Salem, Roman Brady."

Kate wrenched away from EJ's grasp. "If you'd given Stefano those pictures of Roman and me he would have given the incriminating evidence he has to the police to incarcerate me or I shudder to think what else he might do to me."

EJ pointed one of his fingers in her direction, "And there you have it Kate. You selfless mother act is nothing but a sham. When it comes down to it, you would sacrifice any of your children if it ensured your dirty little secrets wouldn't come to the light of day."

"That's not true! I always put my children first no matter what happens. I have to protect my children especially Lucas from the evil your family exudes!"

EJ walked back over to the bar, he needed a drink if Kate's voice was going to reach tones that rivaled screech levels. "Maybe if you had pulled Lucas away from the tit earlier in life he wouldn't be such a weak pathetic mama's boy now with drug and alcohol abuse problems."

"You are a vile disgusting creature, how dare you suggest anything sexual ever went on between Lucas and me!"

EJ scoffed, "Ah, I never did Kate, but now that you mention it, you two definitely seemed closer than most mothers and sons. Did you let him venture into that mountainous cavern of yours, show him the ways of incestuous depravity?"

Kate suddenly took on the visage of what appeared to be an oncoming apoplectic fit, "We never ever…"

"Did the naughty deed together? I mean Lucas has taken the Oedipus complex on to a whole other level. I can only imagine what he would have done if he would have had his actual father to compete with while he grew up vying for your attention."

Kate rushed over to slap EJ, but he deftly caught her hand before she struck him.

"I will kill you EJ!"

"Tsk, tsk Kate, you need to calm down or you're face will freeze that way and let me tell you it isn't a very flattering look on you at all."

Kate sputtered to where she couldn't even form any words into sentences her ire was riled to such a level.

"Oh Mumsie, just take a deep breath and calm the hell down, I don't have time for your theatrics this evening or any other time either. So here is how we are going to play this, you'll do whatever I tell you to do or life as you know now of being Stefano DiMera's wife, well it will only be a distant memory for you. Plus if you are foolish enough to even dare contemplate some kind of revenge upon me, just know this I have had you watched and followed for months. As much as it is distasteful to get reports on, I even know when you go to the loo, so if you even look at me cross eyed I will find some kind of inventive punishment for you to endure."

"You're an even bigger monster than your father ever dreamed to be…"

"Speaking of monsters, especially the ones that lie in wait under your bed please try to keep your whoring ways to a bare minimum. There are only so many explicit pictures I can handle seeing of you trying to get your groove on."

"That time with Roman was a mistake, one I won't be repeating ever again."

"You also may want to clean those toys you love to play with, seriously Kate a 12 inch dildo…"

Kate turned a reddish purple shade of embarrassment and gurgled out some kind of sound that EJ couldn't understand before she turned on her heel and fled the room.

EJ called out in a sing song voice while Kate was making a hasty retreat from the room, "The good news is you'll be seeing your granddaughter sometime tomorrow since you now share joint custody of Allie with Samantha."

Kate never turned around and EJ heard the sounds of her shoes noisily clattering down the hallway. He chuckled and spoke aloud to himself, "Well that went better than I thought it would."

Now to get ready to see Arianna, he'd have to rush to get cleaned up; she would be arriving at the mansion before long. Another phase in his plan to tear the Hernandez clan apart was about to commence.
