Fighting Dirty

The training ground was quiet at this time of night and Fili took a moment to take in the quiet atmosphere. He was used to this place brimming over with loud male shouts and grunts as Dwarves charged at one another and practised their best fighting and techniques together, swapping ideas.

And now, most likely, people were in bed or settled into their homes for the evening.

A perfect time for him to become a tutor to his new pupil...

"Tell me, why I'm here again and not upstairs in my warm room?" Dru folded her arms and purposefully chattered her teeth together to prove her point, "in my warm bed...with my not so warm love?"

Fili just rolled his eyes and took a few steps towards her, closing the distance between them. He managed his 'teacher premise', whilst struggling to control her more primal urges, the ones that were begging him to kiss her.

"Because, as you noted last week, your wrist is better and you can grip a sword again," he held up her hand in his, giving it a small shake to demonstrate, "and because you can grip a sword again...I am going to teach you how to carry and conceal your weapons, should you ever need them."

"Excuse you, I know how to carry my weapons," she looked offended and stuck her tongue out at him.

He was half tempted to grab hold of the end, but he restrained himself.

"I'm aware, but do you remember how to carry hidden weapons?" when her response was silence, he continued, "No. Because you weren't taught that. Kili and I were but he favours his other weapons more-"

"Sword, bow and arrow, flashy weapons that attracts Elf girls."

"Aye'. And since I was the only one who seemed to take Thorin's lessons to heart," he slowly began to circle her as he talked, "I'll be teaching you all I know."

"So this won't take very long then-ow!" Dru swivelled around and smacked him on the shoulder, rubbing her backside with the other hand, "don't start or I'll bathe alone later!"

Fili folded his arms as he came to stand back in front of her.

"No, you won't, I have to kiss you better."

"Oh, shush, I'm not letting you anywhere near my backside," Dru tried to hide her amusement and mirrored his pose, tilting her chin, "anyway, I thought you were going to teach me stuff, oh, 'wise teacher'?"

Without any hesitation, Fili drew a small dagger that had been hidden beneath his coat. Dru looked at it in wonder, truly not knowing he had that hidden there.

"Turn around. We're going to tuck this down the back of your dress."

Dru tried not to laugh but was glad when she did turn around so she could hide her amused smirk. Fili had been surprised she hadn't jumped at the bait and made a dirty joke back at him.

Moving her hair aside with one hand, he carefully slipped the small dagger between the fabric of her dress and against her bare back, Dru letting out a small shriek as the blade pressed against her.

"Bloody freezing!" She remained still as he continued to tuck it down, pressing the blade beneath her leather holster so it stayed in place.

"Usually there's a sheath down there, but we'll make do."

He came back around her front and looked her over.

"Now...you've got a couple more hiding places then I have," he seemed to be contemplating some of them and moved aside his coat to reach into the waistband of his trousers, "Stick this down the front of your dress."

"I beg your pardon?!" Dru snorted and arched her brow but it went away when he pulled out another dagger, "Oh...never mind."

"You sound a little disappointed." The amused glint in his eye was back as he held it up to her face, the tip in between his fingers.

"I mean," Dru tried to look as innocent as she could, "I was expecting it to be a little bigger-Ow!" Her hand flew to her nose and she glared at him, "oh, you're such a bully!"

He waggled the rear bolster at her, threatening to bop her on her nose again.

"Hide it."

Before he could hit her again, she took the dagger by the handle and quickly and expertly tucked it down the front of her dress, making sure it was tucked between her damaged breast and holster.

She did quickly rearrange the front of her dress, though could feel both metal blades pressed into her awkwardly.

"It's not very comfy, is it?"

"It's not about comfort. It's about always being prepared."

Dru noted another dagger he seemed to pull out of nowhere, twisting and flipping it expertly in between his fingers as he looked her over. How many did he have?!

As he twisted it about the place and thought about the next hiding place, she noted the design and realised, she'd seen that dagger before.

"Now-"

"Isn't that your Da's?"

Fili looked at the dagger in his hands and smiled down at it, seemingly lost in a memory.

"He had a sword and two daggers. I remember he gave me this and showed me how to toss and catch it by the handle," he demonstrated it with ease, Dru having watched him do it hundreds of times before "Kili wanted the other one and I left that sword at home with Mam...who, I suppose has it with her somewhere."

He held it out to her and Dru couldn't quite believe it. Even if they were training...he'd let her use something so important to him.

"You trust me with your Da's dagger?"

Fili's eyes filled with sincerity and his hand came down to gently take hers. He held it for a moment, before pressing the handle into her palm, his eyes not leaving hers as he said, "I trust you with my life."

Oh, if they hadn't of been training, Dru could have easily thrown her arms around him and kissed him silly. But his grasp left hers and he took a step away as if reading her mind. She looked down and focused on the light dagger in her hands.

"I'll take care of it."

"Hide this on your person, but don't tell me where," she looked back up at him as he instructed her, "Your last weapon is what we call 'the last shot'. Only you know it's there and it'll be the one that's not to be found. It's your last hope."

"Like the one you hid down your trousers back in Mirkwood?"

She saw the slight twitch in his cheek before he looked away from her and coughed.

"Yes." He turned away from her and she realised he was waiting for her to hide the dagger.

Quickly checking herself over, she pulled up her skirts and scooped them over one arm as she remembered that she had chosen not to wear her trousers today. She tucked them into the side of her bloomers and quickly rearranged her skirts back down, though she had a feeling he could hear her fiddling with them.

"All done."

He turned back around and nodded.

"Now...we fight."

Dru scrunched her nose and took a few tentative steps, testing her weight and how the blades felt pressed against her skin.

"I don't want to sound...unfavourable, but...I'm covered in weapons."

Fili just arched his brows and stepped closer to her.

"Yes? So am I. Not all are sheathed, either."

Dru looked him up and down, wondering just how many he was carrying.

"What...right now?" She squinted at him and had to ask, "Fili...do you always walk around wearing an assortment of weapons?!"

He shrugged his shoulders as he held his hands behind his back.

"You never know when you'll need them. The only time I take them off is when we're in my chambers together. But then, I've got others hidden under and around the bed."

"I thought the mattress made a strange rattling noise-" Dru was ready for the hand he threw out against her side, easily blocking him off with her arm. In retaliation and with a wide smile on her face, she brought her leg up and round, planning to kick him in his side.

He had seen it coming though. He quickly grabbed her under the knee and with great strength, she threw herself forward against him and caused him to topple backwards onto the floor. They both moved quickly and preparing himself for the landing, he managed to slip one arm around her waist as she positioned both her legs either side of him.

They ended up with him laying back on the floor and her on top of him, straddling his hips with the inside of her thighs pressed against the outside of his.

He wiggled about a bit, suddenly aware of pain by his hip.

"There's something poking me in the leg."

Dru decided now was a good time for a distraction.

"Isn't that my line?", she wiggled her hips and purposefully ground herself down against his lap, pleased when he hissed and suddenly moved both hands to still her hips.

He took a few deep breaths and glared up at her.

"We're supposed to be training."

Finding that he was successfully distracted by the pressure against his thigh, she gave a half-hearted sigh and pushed herself up to sit up straight on him.

"Fiiiine."

In a flurry of movement, he had her on the floor and a small tussle broke out. They both continued trying to land hits on one another, neither one giving any of their hits or kicks any weight and both seemed to be restraining laughter when they caught one another's eye.

With surprising ease, he managed to pull the blade swiftly from the back of her dress, not cutting her OR the fabric as he did so. He twirled the dagger teasingly in front of her face, before tossing it aside.

"That's one."

He tried to twist her around in his arms and get her back pressed to his front, but she wrapped her legs around his legs and locked them so he couldn't. Instead, both quickly grabbed and pushed away from the other's thrown playful punches, until Fili reached the top of her dress and her hand suddenly stopped him by his wrist and she arched her brow at him.

"I don't think I'm going to be letting my enemy cop a feel, Fi."

"True, but what if they try to throw you off?"

Dru contemplated it for a second.

"What, like this?" Her hand released his and she managed to grab at his arms and twisted him around so he was laying back on the floor again. Dru heard the clatter of some of his weapons. He, unfortunately, took that opportunity to grab at the dagger and pull it out and free again.

"Two down," he tossed it aside the same way he had the other, "Now...one more dagger to find. If I find it before you can land the deathblow, then you've let your enemy win."

Dru was ruthless in trying to land her 'killing blow', determined to at least get him with her hands before she reached for the last dagger.

She lost her breath momentarily when he managed to flip her back down to the ground and held both her hands above her head, his hands pinning her at the wrists. A strange wave of excitement went through her when he managed to pull them together and gripped both of them in one hand, though he was still gentle about it.

His free hand came out and quickly reached down to the top of her skirts, patting her around the waist as though he was searching for something.

"What-but-" he looked confused as to why the dagger wasn't in the most obvious hiding place.

She just grinned at him.

"Not in my pockets, try again."

Her legs even though hindered slightly by her skirts, wrapped around his waist and he suddenly found himself rolling along the floor with her, her hands coming free and trying to hit him in his major injury points.

He eventually ended up on top of her again, both his hands on her shoulders as hers grabbed the front of his coat. He had to take a few moments to get his breath back, but as he looked deep into her eyes and saw that spark of arousal light, he knew he was done for.

His lips quickly came down to her and she squealed against his mouth in delight when his hands began to move down and touch her wherever he could. He pulled back far enough to press light, eager kisses against her jawline.

"I thought we were supposed to be training?" Dru said a little too smugly and Fili decided to shut her back up with another, sensational kiss. He felt her shift beneath him, her legs opening wide and her hands leaving his coat to pull up the fabric of her skirts.

He moaned and pulled away to look at her, his mind clouded with passion but still able to remember where they were.

"Here? Anyone could come in!" He moaned when she rolled her hips up against his and involuntarily pushed his hips down, wanting more of that delicious friction.

"I'm just getting comfortable. Something's poking me in the leg," she retorted and he could only smirk at her. He lent down to capture her lips again, but quick as a flash, her hands came away from her skirts and he felt the cool metal of the dagger press against his throat.

He stilled in shock and looked down at her, realising that he'd allowed himself to fall into an easy trap.

"And that is the killing blow. I win," she proclaimed happily before pulling the dagger away from his throat and gently laying it at arm's length on the floor, keeping her promise.

Fili could only shake his head in disbelief, though he had to snort at her deviousness.

"You're such a dirty fighter," he groaned and shut his eyes tight when she rolled her hips up against his again, "Gods, I love you-"

Her lips quickly covered his and soon, their hands were all over each other again. She pulled open his coat and tugged his tunic free from her trousers, her fingers quickly finding his stomach and stroking and kneading the flesh beneath her fingers. He began to gather up her skirts, hoisting them until they were gathered at her waist and gave his fingers better access to-

"What on earth-Are you wearing bloomers?!" Fili pulled his lips away and forced himself into a strange angle, so he could lay against but still look at her.

Dru froze when she remembered exactly WHAT bloomers she had on and swiped at his shoulder.

"Shut it! It's hot and I didn't want to wear trousers under my skirt!" Her hand came away from under his shirt and poked him in the nose, making sure he was looking at her again, "And don't you dare make fun of my bloomers!"

Fili couldn't help but smirk. Not only had he never seen her in Bloomers, but she was wearing perhaps the most 'Un-Dru' bloomers he'd ever seen. Dyed pink and laced around the top and the bottom with bits of red ribbon, he'd been half tempted to scooch down and get a better look at them. But he wouldn't put it past her to crush his head between her legs and get him to forfeit.

"I never said they were bad NOR that I was going to make fun of you for them," he quickly amended his surprise and let his hand slowly wander back down from her waist and in between her legs, "I'm just surprised and...curious..."

Dru blushed when his hand pulled away from the small bow she'd made with the ribbon at the front of her bloomers and his fingers slowly pushed their way into the waistband.

"Yes...I like this," he lent down to press a short, tender kiss against the corner of her mouth, "less troublesome, fiddling with your damn trouser lace and buttons all the time."

"Oh, shut-" Dru gasped when his hand pushed all the way inside of her bloomers and his fingers brushed against her curls. Unfortunately, that's as far as they got, because they both heard the sound of approaching footsteps from somewhere above.

Fili hurriedly moved away, helping to right her bloomers and skirts before moving off of her.

"Oh, bollocks!" She grumbled as she stood up, adjusting her dress and her state of mind, hoping she wasn't making it to obvious just what they had planned to do, "just when it was getting good."

Fili hurriedly turned from her, taking his coat off and holding it in his arms, so it was folded and hiding his legs.

"I-I'll see you back at my room," he turned to her, actively avoiding her eye and Dru wondered why he was suddenly acting so strange when she remembered that hard feeling pressed against her leg earlier had not been from a dagger.

"Oh...are you...is that another dagger down your trousers? Do you want me to walk in front of you or are you afraid you might stick me?" She tried to smile innocently at him, though had to hold her hands behind her back and pinch her skin to stop herself from giggling insanely.

Fili could see the amusement dancing in her eyes and glared straight at her before walking on ahead. She followed a few feet behind and let out a quiet laugh when she heard him angrily muttering to himself.

Something about, 'wait until I get you to upstairs.'

Dru couldn't wait.
