A/N: I am just waiting for the next chapter of FT to be released. I have so many questions like WTF happened with the rest of the guild.

Anyway...

The salmon haired dragon slayer was vaguely aware that he had just separated himself from his guild mates, however he felt that when it concerned his sister it was his duty as a brother to look for her.

The darkness of the dungeon did nothing to effect his enhanced senses, however it did cause him to remain on high alert.

It was times like these that Natsu like his best friend and partner with him, and then there was Lucy.

Whereas it was easy to think of the blonde as a best friend, he couldn't help but feel that there was something more. A connection between them that brought them closer on every level.

He kind of regretted leaving them behind, but he knew they were where it was safe. He didn't need another person he cared for getting hurt.

A sound of the feet rustling against the ground came to his attention, and Natsu instantly knew that he was no longer alone.

The scent was familiar, but there was something foreign and dark alongside it.

There was no mistaking the scent, the scent of his sister. But once he came face to face with her, he knew something wasn't right. Her dark eyes usually always wide and full of hope, now sported a magenta hue. Her posture was stiff, forced and unnatural.

His gaze instantly flicked to the bandage that was messily wrapped around her abdomen. A glowing light was emitting from it and Natsu knew that whatever it was, was the cause of the darkness enveloping his sister.

She tilted her head to the side slightly, her magenta gaze cold and calculating.

"You shouldn't be here" she half whispered. Her voice sounded almost pleading.

Natsu clenched his teeth between clearing the space between him and his sister, however she took a step back.

His brows furrowed at the action, what was she afraid of?

He could sense the foreign party, enhanced emotions as if they were trying to force her to fight. She was afraid of hurting him.

"We're going to fix this" he stated with a face of determination replacing the usual toothy grin.

Her eyes flashed a bright magenta, and upon relating a loud hiss clutched her hands to her temples.

"No...Can't...stop...too much" she gasped out between large breaths and clenched teeth.

He placed his hands on her shoulders, the action causing her to look up at him with sad and lost eyes.

"We're Dragneel's...to stubborn to give in" he answered.

She nodded, attempting to smile before loud footsteps were heard and thus signalling that they were no longer alone.

Natsu released a low growl at the dark haired mage, pushing Rissy protectively behind him in the process. Elijah simply smirked at the action, his gaze boring through Natsu to stare at the salmon haired woman behind him.

Lucy had long since joined the fight against the possessed mermaid heel mage.

Whereas she felt guilty for attacking an ally, she wanted answers for the mages current condition.

Though Erza was doing the brunt of the attacking, Lucy offered a hand with diverging Millianna's binding spells from the redhead mage.

Aries was quick to put up her wool wall and thus protected both Lucy and Erza from an oncoming spell, whilst Lucy used her whip to pull Lavender out of harms way.

Erza was quick to stand, her gaze fixed on Milliana.

"Lucy, something's wrong with her" she began with a deep frown.

Lucy nodded in agreement before turning to Millianna's abdomen, a fresh pink scar decorated her skin and it appeared to be glowing.

"Erza she might have a lacrima" Lucy suggested.

Erza nodded in agreement before turning her attentions to Milliana once more.

"Then let's finish this" she stated.

Lucy quickly stood and on Erza's command ran behind Milliana.

The cat like mage turned to Lucy, and with a hiss started on a spell.

With her own whip, Lucy subdued the cat girl and thus allowed Erza an open shot.

With a swift blow to the head, Milliana was rendered unconscious.

Erza was quick to catch her friend as she lay limp in her arms, her chest rising and falling slowly.

Erza kept her gaze focused on Milliana, whilst Lucy, Aries and the exceeds watched quietly

"Once we take her to the hospital, I want you and the others to stay with her" Erza stated.

It was then that Gray and Juvia appeared, half carrying half dragging the motionless bodies of Toby and Jura alongside.

"Juvia thinks we should stay together" She stated with a nod before taking a step closer to Gray.

Lucy nodded in agreement, the exceeds shouting with Happy yells.

"Juvia's right, we stick together that's what nakama do" She added with a small smile.

Glancing down the exceeds, Erza sighed as they both stared at her with wide and hopeful eyes.

To top the icing on the metaphoric cake, Happy's bottom lip started to tremble and Lavender started to softly whimper.

Since the redhead had no more say in the matter she nodded, causing Lucy and the exceeds to widely smile.

She internally screamed once her brother was thrown by Elijah's stone fist into a wall, he didn't stay down since like the stubborn fool he was he got up and ready to fight again. His body looked beat up though his eyes remained determined and dark, he spared her a glance before turning back to the mage in front of him and getting back into the fight.

Why doesn't he stop; he could get hurt she sadly thought to herself as she watched Elijah effortlessly block Natsu's fire fuelled punches with a stone shield. Whereas Natsu fought with passion and a raw emotion, Elijah fought with strategy, that's what he was after all, the thinker who battled with his mind. He moved swiftly, yet effortlessly and even though Natsu could keep up with his movements, he was exerting too much energy to do so. Elijah was toying with him, trying to get him to exert as much energy as he could until he could no longer fight and then he would finish him. Quickly.

She tried to move yet the loyalty inside her willed her to stay still and wait for Elijah's next command, whatever it was.

"Natsu...h-he's toying with you!" She managed to rasp out, her expression changing once he fell to the ground panting. He had taken a few hits and his hair was more of a mess than usual.

Elijah's laughter caught her attention and he seemed to be striding towards her, she wanted to run, to fight. Yet she remained still and awaited his command, she found herself longing for it.

His hand reached to stroke her face, yet she ignored his touch and focused her attention on her injured brother as he staggered up.

He followed her gaze with a smirk before leaning into her ear and whispered, his breath hot and rancid against her skin.

"I want you to finish him" He hissed, and without a word she stalked towards her brother and with a strength she didn't know she possessed had a firm hold on his throat.

She was aware of his flame covered hands prying at her hands, the flames were warm against her skin yet she ignored it for was focused on her mission. Finish him the voice of Elijah was in her head, reminding her of her task yet she screamed inside to stop, to release her grip.

Her brother was losing colour, his usual tanned skin turning a pale blue colour and he was gasping for air.

"Shit...Rissy...y-you can't let him win!" He tried to shout but his voice was hoarse from the pressure she had around his neck.

He could have kicked her away, used his strength to subdue her, yet he didn't. He's holding back. He didn't want to hurt her yet she was hurting him.

Elijah's laughter was heard in the background, his laughter was spurring on that loyal part of her. The part that wanted to please him.

Tears started to fall at her own frustrations, she didn't want to hurt her brother but she was killing him.

"Natsu...fight me" She pleaded, her eyes wide and begging for Natsu to listen to her.

His determined gaze softened before he shook his head, a gasp escaping him as she tightened her hold on him once more.

"I can't...you need to have hope, Rissy" He rasped out before his eyes started to close due to the lack of air.

Hope she thought to herself, suddenly remembering the fight with Ezekiel, she had told him to have hope and yet she couldn't do the same. She needed to have hope in her friends and herself, feeling a new emotion overwhelm her she slowly released her hold on him.

There was a soft thud as he fell to the ground, leaving her to stare at her own hands in shock at what she had almost done. A pain shot through her side, and glancing down she noticed the lacrima starting to vibrantly glow, it was being rejected by her body and forcing the once sealed wound to open. Blood was seeping from the stitches as the jagged edge of the lacrima poked from her skin causing her to fall to the ground.

She was aware of Natsu gasping for breath and then he was in her field of vision, a toothy grin crossing his features, a toothy grin she felt she didn't deserve.

"Natsu...I'm-" She started only for her brother to interrupt.

He shook his head before placing his own hand on her wound, she hissed at the pressure however she knew that it was necessary to sustain the blood flow and stop her bleeding out.

"Don't say anything. It wasn't you but that bastard" He said with an added growl.

She laughed at the statement, finding his smile contagious however she regretted the action since her side throbbed. A shadow covered the two siblings and glancing up they noticed Elijah standing over them with a magic circle in front of him, the ground began to shake and ceiling started to cave.

Natsu hugged his sister close to him in an attempt to shield her, though it seemed that their fate was evident, they were going to be buried alive.

"As touching as that was, I can't keep the both of you alive...not anymore" Elijah stated as the rocks started to fall.

Rissy whimpered against Natsu's chest, though he kept his grip tight on her.

"Natsu?" She whispered as she squeezed her eyes shut, she didn't want to see.

He nodded before rubbing his free hand through her own wild hair, a small smile on his lips yet his eyes were still full of determination and hers full of hope.

"I know" He said before the siblings embraced each other, ready to meet their fate.

As long as she was by her brother's side, everything was going to be okay.

And they could face anything.
