Chapter 25
Ron, Isabella, and Baljeet walked with each other in their mission of helping Phineas out with his big idea for the day.
"So where are we going to get a truckload of sugar?" Ron asked.
"We're going to meet up with him at Slushy Burger and then direct him to Phineas' house!" Isabella said, "The nearest location is three blocks away."
"Okay, even if we find the truck, how the heck are the three of us going to guide him to a suburban house?" Ron wondered. "And he thinks we're too young to get all that white sugary gold!"
Isabella just smiled and said "Just leave that to me..."
All of a sudden, the Fireside Girls appeared on both her left and right.
"... and the Fireside Girls of Troop 46231."
Once inside the mall, Bonnie and Candace walked through the crowd of shoppers, tempted by sales throughout its 150 stores.
"So where's your CB at this mall?" Bonnie questioned, clutching her handbag.
"Bonnie, there's this wonderful invention called a mall map! We use it to find stores!" Candace countered.
Bonnie then uttered, rolling her eyes and giving a slight huff "I haven't been to this mall before, Candace, so you're going to help me find the store!"
"Fine, Bonnie! Just don't be so demanding!" Candace reluctantly said.
The two came to the large kiosk of the entrie Googolplex mall. Candace studies the stores of the two-floored diagram with her left index finger.
"It is...on the eastern side of the mall...second floor! And Slushy Dawg is on the first floor in the food court. But that's all the way on the western side of the mall! And Stacy said that she's going to be in the center court, so that's not too far from where we both are."
"So...game plan?" Bonnie asked, tapping her foot.
"My game plan is simple and straightforward. First, we rendevous with Stacy in the central part of the mall, go upstairs to Club Banana and buy those fashions and finally, I will do my usual...'meet-up' with Jeremy!" Candace explained in great detail while grabbing a pair of binoculars from her purse.
"Okay, but we shouldn't stay here for too long, Candace because, you know, concert starts at 7:00." Bonnie said. "I'd suggest staying here for no more than an hour and a half."
"Gotcha, Bonnie!" Candace agreed, nodding her head, "First stop...Stacy!"
She and Bonnie left the kiosk map of the mall and made their way towards the Center Court.
However, there was one thing Bonnie failed to take into effect with her afternoon.
(2:15pm)
Stacy Hirano was sitting on a bench in the Center Court of the mall where so many past Mall Santas and Mall Easter Bunnies with crying children have come and gone.
"I just hope Candace got my texts." she said while looking at her flip phone.
"Hey, Stace!" Candace squealed with delight.
"Hey girlfriend!" Stacy exlaimed at the top of her lungs while the two of them did a secret handshake they've known since childhood where they shook both their hands from behind. "I heard that you got a special evening tonight with Jeremy!"
Candace screamed as if she were an Oh Boyz fan, earning her some startled looks from shoppers passing by.
"This is just going to be the best day of my life!" Candace shouted, "However, there's one teeny-tiny flaw in my plans for this evening!"
"I would take a wild guess about something that involves your brothers!" Stacy hypothesized.
Candace's right eye began to twitch around and she said with a slight chuckle, "Oh, why would you say that, Stace?"
Candace then took Stacy to the side and added with a whisper, "Stacy, I don't want my new friend to know about what my brothers usually do! I just want to buy some clothes from that new Club Banana that just opened up yesterday, and maybe spy on Jeremy at Slushy Dawg."
"But why not use the clothes that you got on now?" Stacy questioned, pointing out the outfits both girls usually wore.
Candace then gave her best answer, although panicked, "Stacy, if I don't get the new clothes, then Jeremy will think that I'm not fashion-forward enough for him to like me anymore!"
Stacy rolled her eyes and sighed, opening her handbag, "Very well, Candace. But who's going to buy them? All I have are a couple of $20s."
Candace then pointed to her new friend, "Stacy, meet Bonnie Rockwaller! She has a credit card!"
Stacy gasped with delight as she shook hands with Bonnie.
"A Club Banana credit card, to be exact!" Bonnie smirked, holding it out from her wallet for the two girls to see , just slack-jawed in amazement that a sixteen-year old would have a credit card in the first place.
"She is so COOL!" Stacy exclaimed.
"I know! I know!" Candace agreed.
"So, let's get to CB ASAP!" Bonnie smirked, "The ab-fab deals are just waiting for us!
And so, both Stacy and Candace followed the brunette.
_
Outside the Googolplex Mall parking lot, a pickup truck parked right next to Bonnie's car...a bit too close...
The driver, a male farmer, opened up his door and a sudden gust of wind slammed the truck door into the passenger door of Bonnie's vehicle, causing a small dent.
"Oh great..." the farmer's wife complained, "...you parked way too close to the line! And I told you not to park against the wind!"
"But, dear, it's the closest parking spot to the mall!" the farmer replied.
"Goodness...can't you try to park at least a bit farther? You would have a lot more space!" the wife countered.
"Yes, dear." the farmer obeyed as he pulled the truck in reverse and drove off to another spot.
