Hi, sorry again for the long wait but I'm hyaving shitty writers block, especially with this story, but anyways I hope you like this chapter :)
Back to school
As Carla walked to school on Monday morning she found that she wasn't dreading it half as much as she usually did. Of course, she would much prefer to be somewhere else, but the thought of seeing Peter made it a bit better.
She knew that they wouldn't be able to talk, or even look properly at each other in case someone somehow realised that they knew each other a bit more than the normal student/teacher relationship but still, the thought of seeing his face and hearing his voice made Carla almost excited for the day ahead.
As Carla got closer to school she saw something, and she wasn't sure whether she wanted to laugh or sympathise with her best friend because Liam and Paul were walking right behind Michelle, who had a very angry expression on her face.
"Hi." Carla said as she approached Michelle.
"Hi," Michelle replied, "Do you think you can convince these twats to leave me alone!"
Carla let out a snigger and turned her head to see Paul and Liam still following their little sister. "You can see the school gates from here, do you really need to follow us all the way?" She questioned as she raised her eyebrows.
"We're not following you, we're following Michelle." Paul answered with a stony face. Carla couldn't quite work out if it was because of Michelle's pregnancy or whether he was still wore from her rejection the previous week, it was probably a mix of the two.
"But you can see the gate! You'll be able to see me walk in to school, you're jsut embarrasing me and yourselves!" Michelle piped up angrily, glaring at her brothers who seemed indifferent.
"Well, you could sneak out as soon as we're gone and go and meet the dick that knocked you up, so we need to make sure you go in." Liam stated.
"Oh for gods sake!" Michelle let out and exasperated sigh, "He's gonna be at his school!"
"Well you could be lying to us." Paul put in.
"What are you going to do, walk me into the classroom?" Michelle asked ssarcastically.
"If that's what it takes, yeah." Liam replied with a shrug of his shoulders.
"Oh my god! If you dare go past those school gates then I'll-"
"Is there a problem here?" Michelle was interrupted by Peter.
"No, and anyway who are you?" Paul asked.
"I'm Peter Barlow, Michelle and Carla's form tutor," Peter replied before turning to face his students, because that's what Carla was at school, just a student, "Is everything alright?"
"No, actually!" Michelle spoke up quickly, "My two idiotic, pig headed, caveman like brothers, will not stop following me!"
"Look, she's been in a bit of trouble at home and we just need to make sure she gets into her class and doesnt leave school during the day." Liam explained.
"Well, I can do that, we're going to the same place and I promise we will calll your home if Michelle leaves at any point in the day, okay?" Peter offered.
"I guess." Paul said begrudgingly, "We'll be waiting here at three so don't think of trying to run off after school."
Michelle was already walking away however, followed by Carla and Peter.
"Thanks sir." Michelle said once they were inside the school building, "Sorry about them."
"No problem, just make sure you get to class otherwise I am going to have to call home." Peter told the two girls, "You have 10 minutes so go and do whatever you need to."
Carla just smiled at him before she and Michelle walked off to try and find a private place to talk.
"How is it, at home?" Carla questioned Michelle when they found a quiet corridor to talk in.
"Horrible. Mum is going on at me to get an abortion while Paul and Liam are going on at me trying to find out who the dad is and Dad's not going on about anything he just looks really fucking disappointed all the time." Michelle sighed with a hopeless expression on her face, "Did you talk to Dean?"
"Yeah, he said okay but-"
"But what?" Michelle interrupted, dreading the answer that Carla was going to give her.
"His mum heard, and she wants to meet your parents and talk everything through with them. I managed to talk here out of it, and said I would talk to you today, but she wants to get this sorted out. The good news is that she's supportive though, so that makes at least one of the grandparents on side." Carla told Michelle, who looked worried and relieved at the same time.
"I'm going to have to tell them about Dean, aren't I, and they're going to hurt him." Michelle sighed, she had known she would have to do it sometime, but she had hoped it wouldn't be so soon.
"Yeah, when do you want to...introduce them?" Carla asked.
"After school today," Michelle sighed, before looking at Carla with an expression on her face which said 'I'm going to ask you to do something that I know you're really not going to want to do but please'. "Can you come as well, I know my mum was a total bitch and shouldn't have said the things she did but please can you be there, I'm probably gonna need you."
"Okay." Carla sighed as the bell rang, signalling that they should get to their form room. She was not looking forward to it, that was for sure.
There were two reasons Peter had come in to teach today. One was because it took his mind off his sister and the other one was to see Carla, although he couldn't actually talk to her properly.
She was amazing. That was the only word he could think of to describe her. Absolutely amazing, but being back at school made the reality of what they were getting themselves into a lot worse. Seing her in her school uniform just made it hit home how young she still was, and how illegal he was.
He didn't want to end it though, he wouldn't be able to find the words even if he tried, and he was sure that Carla didn't want to end it either. He still wanted to help her as well, with whatever was wrong, and if he did somehow end things with her there was no way she would ever let him in.
It was the end of the day now, and he could see her walking towards the gate with Michelle. Even from behind she was perfect. She walked with an air of confidence (if that was even possible), and her hair looked so silky and shiny and she was just perfect.
Peter just didn't know how they were ever going to be able to be together like a proper couple. Even after Carla left school if they came out with their relationship and someone worked out it had started while she was in school he would still be in major trouble and lose his job. They would have to keep it secret for years if they were ever going to be able to be together publicly, and maybe Carla wouldn't want that.
He had to make sure Carla knew exactly what she was getting in to, before anything got to serious, if it hadn't done already.
So yeahhh, please review thanks :)
