chapter 25

The moonlight howl was only an hour away, and everyone in the pack was getting ready. Humphrey went to the same place all the guys went to; the river. Kate, and the rest of the girls went to the lake.

Humphrey constantly kept counting all the wolves in the river, but each time he came up one short. 'That's wierd, maybe i'm thinking too much' He thought. He saw the three omegas he met last moonlight howl. Humphrey slowly made his way to them. He sat down behind them and lissened to their joke.

Salty looked back and saw Humphrey, and slowly the other two turned around too.

"Hey" Shaky said.

"You get any girls yet?" Humphrey asked.

"Not yet" Mooch said.

"Did you try what i told you?" Humphrey asked.

"No" Salty said.

Humphrey sighed and shook his head. 'Omegas' He thought.

Kate sat in the lake next to Lilly, and Angel. They finished bathing twenty minutes ago, and everyone was waiting for mid-night.

"I'm tired of waiting" Kate said getting out of the water.

"Where are you going?" Lilly asked.

"To get Humphrey" Kate answered.

"That's not a good idea" Angel said.

Kate sat down on the grass, and lissened for her to give reasons. It took a while for Angel to realize she was waiting.

"One girl, countless numbers of guys" Angel said.

"What do you thinks going to happen? Humphrey's my mate, and my mother would kill anyone who tried" Kate said.

"Yeah, your right, but i'll go with you just incase, i'll go with you" Angel said.

"You don't need to" Kate said.

"No it's fine" Angel said jumping out of the water.

Kate nodded and walked to the river with Angel. Nothing was said the whole way there. Angel was lost in thought, but Kate didn't mind. They made it to the river, and Kate was starting to have second thoughts, but she walked out of the cover of the trees anyways. Humphrey immidiatly watched her walk towards him. None of the guys dared say anything, but they all starred. Angel waited by the tree line, watching.

"What are you doing here?" Humphrey asked Kate.

"I got tired of waiting, Let's go" Kate said.

Humphrey quickly got out of the water, and fallowed her into the trees. Angel stayed and watched Jay.

"Jay" Angel yelled.

Jay looked over at her and was surprised that she was here. Now that she got his attention maybe she wouldn't have to get any closer.

"Come on" She said.

Jay gladly fallowed his friends. Jay and Angel quickly caught up with Kate and Humphrey. Humphrey looked at his two friends, and his mate. 'Not yet' Humphrey thought. He remembered when they first met. since then, they have never spent a day without eachother. They had only spent three days away from Angel, and Jay.

"So, where are we going?" Angel asked.

"I guess to moonlight mountain" Kate said.

"Fine by me" Humphrey said.

The four friends continued their way to their destination. They would be thirty minutes early, but they didn't care. Humphrey and Kate walked with their bodies pressed together, as usual. Angel starred at Jay as he walked beside her. Jay looked over at Angel and she quickly turned away. She blushed, and sped up in front of him so he couldn't see her face. Jay watched her ass as she walked ahead of him. He didn't even notice until he saw her look back at him. It was his turn to blush and look away. Jay looked at the ground until they got to moonlight rock.

"What do we do now?" Angel asked.

"We're here first. we get to pick our spot" Kate said.

"We get top" Humphrey called.

"Darn it" Angel sighed.

Kate and Humphrey left, leaving Jay, and Angel. Angel started walking up the mountain, but she noticed Jay didn't fallow. She turned around, and sadly looked at him. Then her expression lightened up a little.

"You want to howl with me?" Angel asked.

Jay looked up at her, sure that he missunderstood her. The shock on his face told her that he heard her.

"Come on" Angel said.

Jay fallowed her up the mountain to the second highest point. Angel sat down, and Jay nervously sat with her. A minute went by with nothing said.

"I'm sorry for looking at you..."

He was stopped by Angel. She put her paw on his, and leaned in and kissed him. Jays eyes widened, but he relaxed and enjoyed the kiss. Angel pulled away from the kiss, but stayed close.

"What was that for?" Jay asked.

"I love you" Angel said.

Jay smiled and pulled her into a hug with one arm. Humphrey and Kate watched the whole thing from the top.

"I knew it" Kate said.

"They go good together" Humphrey said.

"They do" Kate said starring into Humphreys eyes.

The rest of the pack came up the mountain, finding their spot. Down at the bottom, Garth saw Lilly walking. He quickly ran next to her, and walked beside her.

"Hi" Lilly said.

"Hey, who are you with?" Garth asked.

"No one" Lilly said.

"Really, that's hard to believe" Garth said.

Lilly stopped and looked over at Garth. Garth noticed this, and stopped too. He was also looking at Lilly.

"Why?" Lilly asked.

"Oh, forget i said that" Garth said.

"Okay" Lilly said begining to walk again.

"You want to howl?" Garth asked nervously.

"You're an alpha" Lilly said.

"I know some where we can howl together" Garth said.

"Okay" Lilly said hesatantly.

Garth led her through the woods to a private place where they could howl. No one would even know it happened.

Jay and Angel starred at the moon as they leaned against eachother. neither one of them would move or wanted to. Angel looked up at Jay, and licked him. A smile grew on his face as he looked at her.

"You want to howl?" Jay asked.

"No" Angel said.

She rested her head on his shoulder, and they stayed like that for the rest of the night.

Kate and Humphrey sat at the top, watching the whole pack. No one has started howling yet, but they would soon.

"Kate, can i ask you something?".

"You just did" Kate said.

"Kate...?".

"What?".

"Will you marry me?" Humphrey asked.

Kates' eyes widened, then filled with tears of joy. Kate jumped ontop of Humphrey. He closed his eyes as he felt himself fall backwards. When he opened his eyes, Kate was standing over him. Her eyes fixed on his. Tears were slowly coming down her face.

"Is that a yes?" Humphrey asked sarcastically.

"Yes" Kate said.

Wolves around them that heard it started to howl, Starting a chain reaction of howls. Kate nuzzled Humphrey.

"Let's go back to your den" Kate said.

"Okay" Humphrey said.

Lilly and Garth finished their howl, and it was perfect. Lilly looked at Garth, and they both smiled.

"That was fun" Lilly said.

"Yeah" Garth agreed.

Oh yeah. i'm back. not long of a break, but it's all i needed. Alot of excitement in this chapter.
