Sorry I've been gone so long.
Well shall we see how Panda's doing?
Not long after Loki's revelation Elvera had excused herself, saying she wanted to walk around the palace grounds. She decided not to ask Thor for a tour, she needed to be alone for awhile. So here she sat under the apple tree where she and the princes played as children; this was where she first learnt to fly like her mother, but now it seemed her wings had been clipped. It was so easy before but now she wanted to fly so badly she found she could no longer do it.
Blue sky stretched in to the distance and held a cheerful sun, which clashed with her mood; the green leaves swayed lazily in the cool breeze along with her golden hair that had not been put up in her hast to leave. Elvera closed her eyes and leaned back enjoying the warmth provided by the sun. She sighed, content to just sit a feel the cool air flow around her.
After Thor told Loki that Sigyn would be at the ball and he had leapt in to action, running about getting ready for that night. "So..uh. Who ended it?" She had asked hope shinning in her icy orbs. Thor watched as his brother tried to find scissors, Elvera made a face at that "Sigyn did." he answered simply as Loki opened the curtains to see better and gave the uncovered mirror a dirty look on his way to the wardrobe. Elvera's stomach dropped and she felt like her heart ha been pulled out of her chest and stamped on. "Excuse me, I need some air." Her voice almost broke before she fled to the gardens. Which was where she was now, trying to sort out her feelings and what to do about it.
Soft footsteps reached her ears making her groan in irritation. "Go away." she said, the footsteps stopped.
"I came to see if you are ok." That was unmistakably Sif. The warrior didn't know how to handle this, it wasn't really her forte. She took a seat on the dry grass next to Elvera. Said woman gave a dry laugh devoid of any humour "Thor made you check on me you mean." When the other woman said nothing Elvera opened her eyes and looked at her. "I thought so." she sighed "don't worry, I'll tell him we had a heart to heart and you gave me some advice." But Sif didn't move, she only frowned at the sad woman.
It was no secret that neither woman liked each other and it was also no secret that Sif didn't like Elvera solely because she liked Loki. Now she was suffering. Sif could be mean but she was not cruel.
"He does not love her." Sif said while looking at the expanse of blue sky. Elvera gave her a doubtful glance before she shook her head with a sigh, se needed to get this off her chest even if it was Sif. "She broke up with him." She said despairingly "She left him, if it was the other way around." she stopped and fell back to lay on the grass. Sif gave her a sympathetic smile as Elvera flung a pale arm over her eyes "He was going to end it. She just got there first." Elvera moved her arm from her face to look at Sif, searching for deceit and Sif continued. "truth is, the only reason he courted her was to strengthen the bonds with Odin and her father."
Sif glanced at the blond haired Arthalian who now sat starring at her. "I know you love him." Sif's words where met with no denial but she did see pink tinge the woman's cheeks, Sif smiled. "He will notice you." she assured her "After all you are strong and smart, not just a pretty face like her." Elvera sat up properly with a smile on her face "So, you think I'm pretty?" Elvera questioned with a raised eyebrow. Sif laughed at her "Not really what I was getting at." Sif said tilting her head to the side as Elvera stopped laughing and a serious look over came her features. "I know, and I thank you."
They both watched the beauty of the garden with it's many coloured flowers many; many where like earths like daffodils and roses, but some were a strange combination of flowers. There were some with blue and pink petals that were oddly arranged on the thin stalk; another flower ,this one a green and blue one, reminded her of Thor and Loki two sides of the same coin.
"What's she like?" Elvera finally asked, Sif tilted her head in thought. She did not know the words to describe this person who had told her that her hair looked better black and not blond, she said it showed her social status that she would never be a Queen even if Thor returned her affections. "She's. Uh." Sif hesitated then opted for the easier answer. "She has blond hair like yours but it has brown streaks. Her eyes are brown like mud and she is rather tall." then her tone became angrier "She has a smile that could scare a Jotun." Elvera frowned disapprovingly, they really needed to stop that. "And has an air of, shall we say, 'nobility' about her." Elvera smiled at her, a breeze tickled their skin, "so in short she's a spoiled bitch." Elvera said, Sif looked at her from the corner of her eye.
"I never said such things." she replied, and the look told the blond that she was right. She laughed at Sif's description of Loki's ex-girlfriend.
The sun was getting lower in the sky and the rumble of Elvera's stomach alerted them to the fact she had been out here for most of the day and had missed lunch. "Well, I think we should go get ready for the dance." Both women stood but Elvera felt like she should say something to the warrior. "Thank you Sif, I hope we can be friends in the near future."
"Maybe, but for now we can be allies." Sif replied "Good day, Princess Elvera."
"Good day Sif." Elvera called as Sif strode on long legs to the palace. "Great, now I have to wear another uncomfortable dress." She cursed the Asgardian tailors as she proceeded to her room.
Heimdall could see and hear all throughout the realm. This was true and all through the realms they told of his sight, so why could he not check on the princes friends? It was as if someone had literally pulled wool over his eyes. The tower was completely blocked from his sight, he focused his energy on the tower but a voice so chilling came through as if whispering in his ear.
"Don't even try. Gate keeper." it hissed.
