Okay it is obvious ghost girl is Jinx she will go by Shadow however when in the story to avoid confusing her with Jinx. Also please note I have been having family in and out of hospitals lately making it hard to give you guys strong chapters.

We own nothing

The night was cold and dark as a girl's scream cut through the night like a bullet through glass. The sound of it was almost ear shattering, but to a small black cat it was music to his ears. The girl had gotten what she deserved: a night filled with terrors for drowning his granddaughter. Never again will that stupid child think about touching his blood. The small black cat made his way down the steps and through the ally when an aura caught his attention.

"You know spying on me is not going to help matters. You are still dead and that girl had it coming."

The shadows moved and Max stepped out, sighing as he shook his head looking at the cat, "Jinx would have gotten over it and gotten back at her later on." He said to him. "Meaning you should call off the Mara you just sent on that girl" he said to him.

"Are you trying to tell me what to do little boy?" he asked him his eyes began to glow at the boy. suddenly a female figure got in the way.

"Both of you stop. Max you should not have left the institute or the house! The asylum is acting up and we do not know if it can affect this area yet." She said to him and then she glared at the black cat who was trying to sneak up to her. "And grandfather please stop. If everything works out right I will not exist." She said to him. .

Max eyes grew wide "Wait what?!" he said to her looking at them.

"You heard her boy, she won't exist." The cat answer

"And why the Angel not?! Jinx is not going to die! she is nowhere close to it!" Max yelled

Shadow leaned down and smiled "You are right Max, the Jinx in this time is not going to die and if this all works out then she will never have to make the choice I made later on" she said with a smile. As she held up her hand it began to glow weakly and slowly Max began to fade.

"No! Stop! I don't want to go back to the institute!" he yelled before vanishing leaving the girl and the cat there, a sad look on her features.

"Are you sure about saving him? This time I mean you grew up fine without him. I can stay in this world and protect you." He said.

"You were cursed into that form because of me. Are you forgetting that? The day my father's got married and you gave Alec immortality and Magnus sent you away. He sent you to the asylum the day my mother gave birth to me." She whispered sadly "To think my demon father would have never have made it back to this world if a portal had not been open that day."

"That man and his foolish ideas are not related to you and I never said I hated watching my son be happy. However, dying changes spirits. Those spirits of the Shadowhunters in that hospital fell because they were not given peace and were made into demons. As a result other dead Shadowhunters are being drawn there and causing more demons to come up." He said as they walked to the asylum they could hear the battle taking place within the walls that had fallen from the blast.

"Alec is in there right now. He is being hurt and we can't stop it yet" she whispered as she listened to the yelling of orders as she shut her eyes.

"We cannot do the spell just yet. You are not strong enough yet and your demon father is not there" the cat said as it turn to run back to Brooklyn. "You should not go near there. It would mess the time stream up but if you do….." He turn his back with smirk "I'm not going to be here." He smiled as he walked away.

Shadow smiled as she ran towards the asylum as fast as she could she watched as Alec got separated from Izzy and Jace in the swarm of demons and she glared. They were not going to harm them. Shadow jumped down and held up a dagger the dagger glowed a bright purple. The demons seemed to have stopped their attacks and screamed in agony. Slowly they began to dissipate. As she turned to Alec, he was beginning to pass out. she smiled at him.

"Sleep well Papa" she whispered to him and Alec's world darkened.

Magnus had a horrible time trying to get Jinx to fall asleep that night. She seemed to be so scared of something. The little girl had kept telling that they had to pack, that Maryse would be calling them, and they would live at the institute for a while. The girl was a warlock so visions did not surprise him. It was the accuracy that bothered the man. Still to make sure that Jinx felt safe he did as she told him, thinking it would just be better to do as she said. He sighed as she watched the girl sleep holding Chairman in her arms instead of the missing black cat which he was sort of glad was gone. He sat down next to her when the fire message appeared.

Alec is hurt.

Those three words cause his heart to freeze as he heard Jinx move. "Daddy?"

"Come on Kitten." He whispered as he picked her up and wrapped her in one of the blankets Alec had bought her. "Oh Kitten" he whispered to her he did not know what to do as the little girl hug him.

"It's okay Daddy. Papa is only is going to be okay. He is sleeping" she said.

Magnus could only hope the sleep she referred to was not eternal.
