If everyone could give a minute of their time to leave some feedback it will mean a lot to me please. I've posted a one-shot story on my page if anyone is interested in checking it out. Here is the next chapter and as always hope you all enjoy and ideas are always welcome.
Authors Note: For those who haven't read my profile we have recently lost our much loved dog after nine and a half years. He was a good, beautiful natured dog and we noticed something wasn't right when he started to drop a lot of weight over the last month. After blood tests, x-rays and an ultrasound the vet confirmed there was a cancer growth in his stomach. At first they said they could remove it and we were hopeful, but so much can still be missed and once they started the operation it had spread so much and there was nothing they could do to save him. It all happened so sudden and were shaken by his passing but the main thing is he isn't suffering anymore. R.I.P. Kobi.
"No, no, no not now!"
Hook cursed in panic when Velocity started to leak more energon and a high pitch scream escaped from the pained sparkling. Velocity thrashed on the bench top he was laid out on clenching at his chest where his spark was wanting the pain to go away. Where was his mum? He wanted his mum to hold him but he couldn't even feel her through their bond anymore. This only caused him to scream even more.
Breakdown, who was at the side, felt the same too but knew it wasn't as painful as the sparkling was feeling. Hook yelled at him to help but he just stood there oblivious to everything else.
"Breakdown, snap out of it!" Hook yelled even louder to get through to him, "If you're not going to help than leave! I'll get someone else."
Breakdown gaped at the doc and back at the sparkling before exiting the room into the hallway. He just couldn't be there right now, he wasn't feeling himself.
In the second room, everyone wondered what was going. Scrapper and Mixmaster were ordered to help the medic to try and stable the sparkling and prevent any further damage. Velocity had been in stasis for only a short while but whatever was happening now had online him once more.
The rest of everyone remained in the second room with the other sparkling's. Scavenger and Long Haul went after Breakdown to see where he was going and try to get him to come back.
Little Aria had her small arms wrapped around Micro, holding him tight with her helm buried into his chest letting out soft whimpers. She couldn't bear to listen to Velocity's screams. Micro tried to comfort his sister but he himself was feeling rather frighten too.
Marble held onto Falere's servos in her own, both squeezing each other showing no sign either was going to let go of each other. Deltastorm stood behind the femme's in the shadows a bit, feeling unsure what was happening and wondered what was going to happen to them all. He wouldn't admit it out loud, but he wanted to be with his mum and dad. He needed to be brave though, for them, and soon he'll be back with them once this was all over.
Both Soundwave and Bonecrusher wanted nothing more than to gather their sparkling's in their arms and comfort them. However if they wanted to they would go to them, and right now the twins were holding each other, and they let them.
Thundercracker slowly paced at the far end of the room rubbing the bridge of his face plating. He didn't know what to do or how to make everything better. Not long ago he had the sparkling's smiling and giggling at his silly old jokes, he even threw in some human once which surprisingly they got. Cybertron must had been teaching them about earth and the organic's.
Starscream and Skywarp stood not far ahead. Both waited for the news from the doc and awaited to hear of the sparkling's fate.
Starscream stepped forward and knelt down level with Falere, "Are you ok?"
"I-I'm fine," Her words were mumbled lowly but truthfully she was afraid.
"Falere, I know you're scared," He let the words sink in before continuing. "Everything's going to be ok."
Falere really wanted to believe him but there was that doubt that kept slapping her in the face, reminding her where she was and what had happened. She had had dad though and that made her feel that little better knowing he wouldn't let any harm come to her or her friends.
Starscream than gently rubbed his servo over the top of her helm and she let out a cooing purr at the touch, "You stay here, I just need to have a word with the others."
He stood and signalled the others to follow him back to Thundercracker who stopped pacing once he saw them coming towards him.
"Right," He honestly didn't know what to say or do right now, "I umm…."
"Starscream, we need a plan." Thundercracker almost pled, "I've got this bad feeling thing's won't end well and we need to figure out what where going to do."
"What do you suppose we do?" Starscream shrugged his shoulders with narrowed optics, "Because right now I don't have a plan, if you have one then please, do tell."
Soundwave than had a thought "Suggestion: Hand over to autobots."
"What!?" They all hissed deeply and careful not to shout.
"Why would ya even consider that?" Skywarp was baffled.
Soundwave bowed his helm lightly and gazed at his little one "Reason: Away from Megatron, safe with autobots."
His response was enough to get them all thinking over it. He had a point, but to hear it from Soundwave, the TIC and most loyal to Megatron was something they'd never expected.
Skywarp narrowed his optics, "Really Soundwave? Do ya think that's the best thing to do?"
He vented heavily and gazed at his daughter, "Own priority: Safety for my daughter." Truly he wanted all the sparkling's safe not wanting anyone harmed by Megatron or anyone else.
"No," Bonecrusher growled lowly, "I only just got my son back, I'm not about to let him go. You want to take that away from me?"
"Bonecrusher, we need to think this over-"
"There is nothing to think over. My son is staying with me and nothing will change that."
"What about Aria?" Thundercracker tried to get him to think of the other's too, "They all need safety and their mothers. What about Moondancer?"
"Are you saying he doesn't need me? His own father? I couldn't give a scrap about Moondancer, she made her choice long ago and I'm not about to let her or anyone take him away from me again."
Starscream frowned hearing this. "You can't keep him away from his own mother."
"Why not? She took him away from me for a decade, why can't I do the same? She deserves it if you ask me."
Everyone knew what had happened when Moondancer left with her sparkling's and they all knew Bonecrusher never forgave her for doing that.
"Are you listening to yourself?" Starscream wasn't going to allow him to do such a thing, "You can't be so cold on Moondancer for leaving with the autobot's. You fully know what Megatron is like, is that the kind of life you wanted your son to have?"
"I would never let harm come to him, everyone knows that!"
"We all know that but you can't hate her for doing what she did. Any caring mother would do anything to protect their sparkling's even if sacrifices had to be made. Look at Micro."
Their gazed turned to the small group of sparkling's and watched as Micro continued to hold Aria close to him. He had a big spark, they all saw that.
"It wasn't easy for her to leave either, it broke her spark. But she was thinking of the future of her sparkling's and life they deserved. Those data pictures they carry just show's she never wanted their sires out of their lives." Starscream then brought his attention to Soundwave, "Do you forgive her?"
The TIC did a double take around him as he thought over the question. Soundwave was having mixed feelings about it all, but there was that part in him that wanted to see Moondancer once more. Sure, he was devastated, but deep down he understood. Aria was the most beautiful sparkling and she was his little firefly. Moondancer did well.
Knowing the others were waiting for him to respond he gave a simple nod.
"See?" Starscream pointed out, "Look, you can feel what you want, but others here forgive and understand her choice. I will not allow you to keep Micro away from his mother or sister; I'll make sure that doesn't happen. Is that understood?"
Bonecrusher wanted to punch the living life out of something to cool of his rage, but knowing his son was in the room he controlled his anger as best he could. He wouldn't show that kind of behaver in front of him.
"Everyone can do what they want," He declared, "But I'll never forgive her, she's nothing to me. No one will ever take my son away from me again."
Meanwhile, back with the sparkling's who were at the other end of the room stood in silent and awaited for something to happen. Marble brought her optics up to look at the grown up's at the other end discussing something among themselves.
"What do you think they're talking about?" She whispered curiously.
Falere followed her gaze and shrugged her shoulder plating, "I don't know might be something important."
"I don't like it," Of course Deltastorm was still not trusting them. "Secret's being kept and not being told anything, it makes me angry."
"Then keep that anger bottled up." Falere snapped without meaning to. "I've told you before we can trust them, they are family."
"Not mine." He reminded her, "They're yours mine is gone, or did you forget that?"
His harsh tone made her glare at him. Never had he spoken to her like that before and felt like slapping him over the helm. Micro, Aria and Marble stared at the two and even they were taken back from Deltastorm's tone, but they all said nothing.
"I haven't forgotten, Delta," She used the name he hated being called on purpose, "But he's my dad. I've never met him before and now I finally have after dreaming of it and I won't let you ruin that for me. I've been told nothing but good things of him by my mum and I never believed any of her words to be lies. The thing is though is that you are my family too, Marble, Aria and Micro, we are all family."
Marble beamed brightly hearing this, believing her best friend's words were true and the same went for Micro and Aria. Deltastorm didn't know how to respond to her and could do nothing but stare at her.
"You have a family, here and back on Cybertron. Your care takers are your parents and we are your friends, nothing will ever change that."
Pained gilt swelled in his spark and looked away mumbling, "I'm sorry. A lot's happened and I just want it to end."
"I know," There wasn't really anything she could say to make it all better, "We'll be ok, you'll see."
The door opened and Hook came in with Scrapper and Mixmaster right behind him. They were dismissed by Hook and the medic signalled over Starscream.
"How's the kid?" He lowly asked.
"He'll pull through but he got very lucky." Hook sighed and leaned closer to him, "He has the decepticon programming."
"What?" The seeker narrowed his optics, "Are you sure?"
The medic extended his servo to show the half cracked blue visor covers. "He was wearing these. Looks like someone didn't want his true colours to show."
"Red optics?" He received a nod from him and exhaled, "Alright, so what happened before?"
"When Breakdown first brought him in he had only minor injuries but was still suffering with the loss of energon. Everything was going fine until he started screaming in pain and loss more energon from his spark chamber."
Starscream exhaled sadly, "You mean he lost a spark bond?"
Hook numbly nodded, "One of his parents I'm sad to say. I've checked over his chamber and he still has another, which isn't strong and I doubt it's from either of his parents, probably a relative. But there is a very faint one that got my attention. The bond has never been reached out by the other who connects to it, so I'm assuming this is either his sire or creator. My bet is the sire."
The seeker nodded in thought, "Very well."
"So what now, do we wait?" Even the medic wasn't sure what to do next.
"I've no fragging idea," He rubbed his helm with a low groan, "I just want them to be safe."
"So do I, we all do, but we need a plan and we've pretty much used up all our time to think of something."
"What do you suggest we do?
Hook looked down at the gathered sparkling's on the ground seeing all their curious large optics staring back at him but lucky were not able to hear their conversation. "I don't think we have many options."
"I know. Getting in contact with Optimus might help, but what then? What if we're too late and he's already figured it out. Also to add what he'll do when he finds out half of his army has been lying to him."
"I agree it's too much of a risk," Hook though wasn't going to just do nothing, "We all know Megatron and his obsession with both Darklight and Moondancer. If they are here, with the sparkling's, what do you think will happen?"
"I've no clue, he could do anything." He didn't want to put Darklight through that again, "Well, I'll contact Darklight and figure it out from there."
"You're going to bring her back?"
"I just," Starscream looked once more at his daughter and back at the medic, "I want my family together."
Hook nodded, fully understanding and looked around him briefly, "Right, I'm going to find Breakdown and see what's up with him, he's been acting strange. We'll keep the sparkling's in here for now, until whatever happens, and I'll keep the other one sedated. Rest is the best recovery for him right now."
"Very well, we'll do that." This was it. It was all happening.
Hook left the room and Starscream got himself some privacy to contact Darklight.
'Darklight?'
'S-starscream….'
He right away noticed something wasn't right, 'Babe, what's wrong?' Silence was given and he responded again, 'Darklight, talk to me. What's happened?'
'He knows, Starscream. Megatron knows.'
Starscream froze at those words. He knew, Megatron knew and he hasn't even contacted him yet. He had been very surprised he hadn't for such a while. Now he knew that their leader had it figured out.
'Darklight, where are you?' Again silence was answered, 'Please talk to me!'
'I have to go to him, I don't have a choice. He'll harm so many more if I don't.'
It felt like it was all falling apart now, 'I'm so sorry. I-I'll be there when you come don't worry, I won't allow him to harm you.'
'H-how's Falere?'
'She's good,' He looked over at his sweet little one who looked back at him with a small smile. She was just so beautiful and perfect. 'She's perfect in every way. The others are ok too, but the one that was brought in just lost a bond.'
'His name is Velocity. I sat at his mother's side before she offline.'
'Frag.' Starscream praised her for doing that, 'Did you know he had the decepticon code?'
'His mother told me before. Not something I was expecting but it all adds up now. Is he ok?'
'Hook sedated him so he can recover. He should be ok.'
'That's good.'
'Has Megatron figured out about the sparkling's?'
'Not that I know of,' No one knew at this moment what Megatron had discovered, 'but I won't be surprised if he's expecting Moondancer to there. I-I just don't want any more lives lost.'
'I know. Babe, you do what you think is best I won't tell you otherwise. Just know that I love you and I'll keep everyone safe.'
'I believe you. I love you too. Tell Falere I love her too, and give her a hug and kiss for me.'
Starscream snickered at her motherly nature, 'I'll do that. I'll see you soon'
The com-link was ended and the seeker turned around to see Falere standing right behind him.
"Falere, you ok?" He asked softly kneeling down to her level.
The sparkling inched forward, "Were you talking to mum?"
He gave a warm smile, "Yeah, I was. She's ok." His servos ran over the side of her helm gently, "She also told me to give you a hug and kiss."
He didn't know if she would feel uncomfortable or allow him to but was surprised when she inched closer and raised her arms up. Starscream gladly lifted her up under her arms and felt them wrap around his neck, locking the two together in a caring embrace. He placed a soft peck on the top of her helm and rubbed her back soothingly and giving the comfort she wanted, not caring one bit of the looks directed at them. All he wanted was to hold his daughter.
Micro smiled at them but it faded when he saw his father looking at them as well. Was he supposed to be with him right now too? He didn't even know if he wanted that or not, but didn't think of this much more and looked away in deep thought.
Aria looked at the scene and back at her father who was also staring at them. She felt safe when he held her close to him and wasn't sure if she should have remained with him. It was the fear the bubbled up in her, without reason, or unsure if it was right or not. Right now though she was with her brother and that was all she needed right now.
Back with Hook, he had walked outside of the medic bay to find where Breakdown had run off too. He didn't need to worry though since he was just outside the room leaning against the wall behind him with his servos rubbing over his helm. Both Scavenger and Long Haul were on either side of him, trying to get the mech to talk but he refused to.
"We tried getting him to talk but nothing." Long Haul explained.
Scavenger scratched his helm and shrugged at the medic, "We don't know what's up with him."
"It's ok. I'll take it from here." Hook thanked the two and they went back into the room leaving both medic and combaticon together.
"Breakdown, what's going on?" He demanded to find out what his deal was.
"I-I don't know," He looked like he was about to collapse with the way he was acting, "Is he ok? He's not in pain anymore, is he?"
"I've sedated him so he can rest and regain his strength. He got lucky but he'll pull through."
"What happened? Why was he in so much pain?"
Hook decided to just tell him and maybe he'll get answers from him, "He lost a bond from someone in his family. I can't tell who, but my guess is it was his creator. Only reason is because he still has a faint one has never been touched, so that's why I guess this faint one was his sire due to his red optics."
"What, red optics? Are you so sure?"
"Defiantly, he was wearing blue visor covers to hide who he truly was. That's all I know for now, we'll talk with him when he wakes but that still might take a while. So much has happened and he won't be himself."
"I know," Breakdown hung his helm almost tiredly, "I felt it all you know, how much pain he was in, and it hurt to feel it. Why is that? How is it possible? Did I somehow connect to him in a strange way, or is it just me being paranoid?"
Each question slapped Hook in the face and furrowed his optics, "Breakdown, are you saying you can feel his emotions?"
"I-I think so, but I don't know." He paced against the wall for a brief moment, "It's how I found him you know. I was like pulled to his location. It was like something was telling me to find him and when I did….I couldn't just leave him. I didn't know where else to take him and bringing him here I knew he would be safe but I didn't know others were going to be here too. But he needed help, and I thank you Hook for saving him."
Hook offered a smile saying you're welcome and got serious again, "Follow me."
Both entered the room again and went over to the berth where the sparkling was. Breakdown sighed heavily at the sight. It just hurt too much to see him like this.
Hook leaned over the sparkling and gently moved his servos over where his spark chamber was and where a tube was connected. The clear tube was there to help heal the broken bond quicker and hoped he would be at least half ok when he online again. His servos reached into the small gap and softly over the faint bond he tenderly rubbed the area. Velocity stirred a little but it wasn't pain or irritation. The sparkling let out a gentle purr at the new touch.
"Can you feel that?" Hook asked curiously.
Breakdown looked afraid but nodded, "Y-yeah, it's strange."
The medic helm a neutral expression faced him again, looking very serious but also something else that Breakdown didn't like. A look of disappointment almost, which confused him even more.
"I thought better of you Breakdown," Hook shook his helm, "I never thought of you to be so low to go and rape a femme."
Silence was given before the outburst came, "Rape!? Hook, I would never so that."
"Please be straight up and honest with me. Have you ever forced a femme?"
Breakdown again wanted to yell at the medic to think of something so horrible that he had done, but remained cool and stood tall, "I swear to Primus, I would never harm a femme."
Hook relaxed as he saw the honesty in his optics and sighed, "Good, sorry."
"W-what has that got to do with this?"
The medic held a stare with him before his optics roamed down to the recharging sparkling, "It's not that hard, Breakdown."
He gave a confused look and glanced down at the recharging sparkling. He didn't know what it was, why didn't Hook just tell him?
Hook saw he still didn't get it and sighed. He waited for him to look back at him before giving the answer, "He's your son."
Woah! Well, Breakdown is now a daddy. I think some were expecting that after my poll a while ago but hey surprise to those who didn't know. Next chapter will have much more, my brain just didn't want to think anymore and it's already after midnight here. I need my beauty sleep. Anyway, hope you all enjoyed and thanks very much for reading. Ideas are always welcome and don't forget to review.
