A/N: A little filler chapter. Some spice, mushy spice.
KateyBee42: Riley really is my dawg, I feel like so far he's maturing a lot and realizing he can't always be that immature kid he's always been. Thanks! Hopefully you're happy with this chapter.
Flyguy: Yessir! The flyest of them all.
Read and Review please.
*Huey's P.O.V*
It was a breezy day in Woodcrest. It wasn't fully windy or cold, but there was still wind that made the air cool and chill, causing my Afro to move. I enjoy days that aren't too hot or too cold because for one, i'm not sweating too hard in my clothes, and it causes my mind to go to work. I enjoy thinking because I can do it freely, and I sometimes think of a world where i'm by myself, and no one else is around me.
Most of that would be because everyone killed one another, or they all were kidnapped and sent away to some planet.
Unfortunately, that dream may never happen, so I have no choice to share this world with everyone. Some people say i'm cruel and a heartless person, but nothing's cruel about telling the truth. If you can't handle the truth, then you're allowing yourself to be weak, and that's not my problem.
Sometimes I tend to overthink about a situation and end up forgetting about the entire situation completely, because I never want to put too much stress on myself.
It takes patience to deal with the kind of person that I am, so the people I associate with have been used to it and learned to accept it. Riley and Granddad have no choice because their family. Jazmine, Caesar and Cindy have known me since I was young. I don't consider Cindy a friend, she's just a friend of all of my other friends and we happen to talk every now and then. Gwen, Heather and Chris have taken that challenge and learned to tolerate my character.
I'm surprised I even let all of them in my inner circle, but weird things happen from time to time.
"Huey!" I was snapped out of my thoughts when Jazmine yelled my name. "Did you even listen to a thing I said?"
"No? What did you say?"
We were currently on the Hill we used to hang out on. With all of these pointless shenanigans that Riley got her into this past month, with her almost losing her college privileges because of him, she came to my house today after school and suggested we relax on the Hill for the day. As always, Jazmine was blabbing away and I zoned out into one of my thinking.
"Ugh." She threw her hands up. "You never listen to me. What I was saying was Heather is coming over my house tomorrow. She wants to learn how to become a cheerleader, so I'm going to show her all of the steps."
"Great." I said sarcastically, not really caring as I sat back and leaned onto the tree.
"At least try to show that you care. You can come too if you want."
I scoffed. "And watch you turn Heather into one of those stuck-up cheerleaders, besides you? I'll pass."
Jazmine picked up a pebble and threw it at me, then folded her arms. "We're not all stuck-up, only those cheerleaders that came to Gwen's party. I would never corrupt anyone."
Jazmine sat next to me and leaned back on the tree. She yawned loudly and I raised my eyebrow and checked my watch.
"It's only 4 o'clock."
"So?" Jazmine shrugged. "I had a lot of things to do today and now the exhaustion came down on me."
"And what did you do today that made you so tired this early?"
"Well for one, I had to win back my teachers and the principles trust because of your brother."
"You let him brainwash you."
"I know I know, but all that work of me having to win their trust back including me doing lots of sweet-talk, volunteer work and paperwork."
As she finished, she yawned again and I decided that it was time for her to go home to take a nap. We both stood up and began walking to our separate homes, or so I thought. As I walked up to my door, I turned and noticed that Jazmine was still behind me.
"Uh, where are you going?"
"To heaven." Jazmine said sarcastically.
I rolled my eyes and pointed towards her house. "Your house is that way."
"My dad isn't home." Jazmine said, indicating that his car wasn't home.
"Then where's your key?"
"I forgot it in my locker. Why is it such a big deal to let me take a nap in your house. You would really leave me out on my doorsteps to sleep? Like i'm some homeless person?" Jazmine said while pouting. Whenever I disagree with any idea Jazmine throws my way, she would use the 'fake cry' tactic on me. First stage would be her pouting, which never worked.
"Pleeeeeaaaaaase?" Second stage would be her begging.
She then started sniffling. This would be pre-third stage, which would lead her to cry.
Jazmine then started crying loudly, which was her third stage. Jazmine should be an actress because she cries on spot whenever she wants to, and that takes skill. I sighed heavily and opened my door, leading her in. She instantly stopped crying and smiled at me.
Unbelievable.
When I walked in, the first thing she did was go upstairs. Riley was at school still doing his punishment chores, and I think Granddad is sleeping. I went up to his room to confirm so and I was right. I went to my room to see Jazmine already snugged up on my bed, underneath the covers. I raised my eyebrow at her and just sat down at the computer.
"Huey, when did you get a T.V in your room?" She asked, as she turned the T.V on to watch some reality show on low volume, knowing it would bother me.
"Since Riley managed to steal one with Ed."
Jazmine didn't even question since she knew how Riley was. I was typing up an essay on the computer, and I didn't hear Jazmine speaking for a few minutes. I just assumed she was watching T.V or she fell asleep. I didn't feel like turning back to find out.
"Huey."
Turns out she was awake. I turned my head halfway, not all the way so i'm fully facing her. When I didn't answer, she continued.
"Come cuddle with me."
By now, I turned my head completely facing her. I raised my eyebrow at such a baffling request from her.
"Um, why?"
"I can't fall asleep on my own."
I didn't believe her. "So how do you fall asleep at home?"
"I cuddle with my teddy bear."
"A teddy bear?"
"Yes, a teddy bear. You know what that is right?" I rolled my eyes at her response and turned back to my essay. "Come on, Huey. I need something to hold onto so I can fall asleep."
I grabbed a pillow from Riley's bed and put it next to Jazmine. She gave me the most dullest look I ever received. She grabbed the pillow and hit me with it.
"You know that's not what I meant." Jazmine pouted.
I shrugged. "A pillow is soft, just like that Teddy bear you cuddle with." I said, going back to the computer. "I still have my essay to do."
"Please Huey? It's just one time. You know i'm very tired."
"An essay won't type by itself."
"You know i'm just going to keep bothering you until you do it. So why not prevent the complaining by just laying with me?"
I sighed heavily. She was right. Whenever Jazmine wanted something, she would continue to bother me and annoy me until I reluctantly give up. I checked my watch for the time and it was still early.
"You can always finish your essay when we wake up."
"Who said I was tired?"
"You right, let me fix that. You can always finish when I wake up."
I rolled my eyes and saved my essay and went to my bed where Jazmine was in. I went to the right side of the bed, so i can be closer to the door. I turned off the light and Jazmine moved over so I can come in. With her afro-curly hair and my afro, it took up most of the pillow, but my bed was big enough so we had enough room to be in it.
Jazmine wrapped her arms around me and moved her face into my chest. I felt a little weird because I've never done this, but it felt a little relaxing at the same time. Jazmine's hair had a vanilla scent, and the room was a little chilly, but Jazmine herself felt warm.
I can feel Jazmine was sniffing me because her nose was moving alot and I heard mini sniffing noises. This told me that she apparently liked the way I smell, because she just dug her face deeper into me. I started to close my eyes because this was a little nice and I was becoming tired myself.
After a few minutes of silence, Jazmine moved her head back a little and spoke.
"Huey."
"Hm?" I answered, not opening my eyes.
"Is it weird that we're bestfriends and we're cuddling like this?"
That was a question that was in my head aswell, I just never decided to speak on it.
Without opening my eyes still, I replied. "I don't have an issue with it. Not like we're kissing or having sex."
"Would you do this with any other female?" She asked.
With my eyes still closed, I raised my eyebrows.
"No."
I assume that made Jazmine happy because she put her face back into my chest, not saying anything else. Within a couple of minutes, she fell asleep. She had soft snores that sounded like a cat purring. It was peaceful and wasn't like Riley's obnoxious snores. Silence, soft snores and warm cuddling.
I fell asleep within a minute after her.
A/N: How you guys like the fluff? I always envisioned them to cuddle for some reason as bestfriends. What will the end game be though?
Next chapter's going to be both Riley & Huey's P.O.V. Don't forget to Review !
