Percy's POV

I was back on Olympus, white hot rage boiling in my veins . I had made them swear, they had given me their word .

And yet she was still there, still stuck on her little island, alone . And Leo was dead, they owe me so much more than what I had asked for . It had been such a simple task, so simple .

I stormed up the steps to the throne room, Annabeth, Thalia, Tyson and Grover behind me . All festering with rage, Thalia's hand went up, the doors were blown open . Swinging wildly on their shimmering hinges .

We stalked into the throne room, "HOW DARE YOU!" I yelled . All the gods where assembled, "HOW DARE YOU GO BACK ON YOUR WORD!"

"What do you mean my son" my father asked me, which only angered me more . I was not a child to be comforted . "You gave me your word that Calypso would be free" I said, what felt like a permanent scowl twisted my face .

"And I find out, that she is still there, Leo landed on her island " I paused glaring at the gods . "She is still there, she thinks that I abandoned her, left her alone forever"

Athena's face was impassive, Zeus looked angry, Poseidon looked sympathetic, the others just looked to Zeus for conformation .

"Why is she still there?" I asked . "Why haven't you released her?"

Zeus looked down at me with hard eye's, "It doesn't matter now does it" He asked

"What?"

"She's gone, after the giant war we went to free her, she was already gone"

what?

My eye's flew open, I turned to see Annabeth's beautiful grey eye's looking down into mine .

"Your shift" she said gently, her voice barely a whisper, still Thalia stirred, light sleeper .

Ever so slowly, and gently, I eased her head onto Annabeth's jacket . Her face was painfully pale and covered in a sheen of sweat, despite the fact that she was shivering . I edged down to look at her leg, it was awful .

The bite marks where an angry red, the skin around it was yellow, black veins of poison threaded through .

I looked up at Annabeth, "rest, then we have to move" she nodded her head . She laid down behind Thalia, where I had been moments ago . Now I moved to sit where she had, she put her head in my lap contentedly .

Curling herself around Thalia, "Sleep" I whispered .

Sadie's POV

We pulled into Starbucks . "What are we doing hear" I asked. "You" Jason said, turning around to look at me . "Are going to finish telling me about your dreams, I know they don't seem terribly important but they are"

I frowned, Poseidon had said that is was simply some goddess teaching us a lesson or something . "Come on" Jason pleaded, "just for a few minutes, and I'll buy drinks" that sold me . Free coffee, sure I'm British and I love tea .

But American coffee is just sooooooooo good . "I guess a few minutes couldn't hurt"

(don't mind me I'm just a LINEBRAKE)

I took a sip of my heavenly Frappe, nope, a few minutes wouldn't hurt at all . My mind wandered to the past few years, all our adventures and such .

"So" Jason said, forcing me back to the present . I sighed, "yes, yes" I said offhandedly .

"Then I was in New York, I saw pretty much what Carter did then ." I shivered, "Wounded everywhere, the dead lined up"

I paused," armies of skeletons and monsters, demigods hopelessly outnumbered, then Percy, Annabeth and Thalia ."

"They were with that Satyr, Grover, they looked half dead and ready to drop, Thalia was on crutches, but they stood tall and confident nonetheless ." I stopped, "They always do don't they" it wasn't really a question . "Yes" Jason answered, looking mildly amused, "yes they do"

I nodded, satisfied, "One of the goddesses, a proud woman, with dark hair and powerful, cunning grey eyes and a warriors body, called Annabeth forward . It must have been Athena, Annabeth's mother, she told Annabeth that she would redesign Olympus . Annabeth was so happy, she seemed to be glowing with pride.

Next some fat guy with black hair and dark eyes told Grover that he was a Lord of the Wild, whatever that is."

I stopped to take another sip of my Frappe, and saw that Carter looked interested, but Jason was hanging on my every word . Huh, I guess they've never told him this particular story, well, they do have quite a few of those.

"Anyway," I continued, "Zeus commemorated Thalia on her heroism and promised to help fill the ranks of her fallen hunters .Then Zeus called son Cyclops forward and made him a general of some army or something .

And then there was Percy, Poseidon called him forward, said that he was deserving of the highest of rewards or something like that.

Everyone agreed, every single one of the gods agreed that he was deserving, I don't know about you Greeks but my gods never do that."

I paused, thinking about all the times the gods had disagreed, and how much trouble it had caused .

"Then, Zeus offered him immortality, godhood and all the power that came with it" I paused again, this time to let the weight of what I said to sink in .Their jaws dropped, doubt flashed across their eye's, Jason recovered first, "You're pulling my leg" He said, trying hard to sound nonchalant about it .

"No" I said, shaking my head, "I'm not, that's what happened, that's what I saw,... ... then ... he said no."

I let that hang in the air, Carter was shocked beyond belief, Jason though, looked like he was close to understanding . "What exactly happened," he asked, "when Percy said no, I mean"

"Well" I drew the word out, "He looked at his father, then looked over at Annabeth, she had her head down, staring at the floor, her jaw set.

Then the dream flashed back to when Luke was dying, when Percy seemed to be drinking in the fact that she was still breathing ." I stopped, smiling, they are just so cute, "Then he said no, he asked for something else instead.

He used a lot of words, but the gist was, the gods couldn't ignore their children anymore . They had to claim their kids and acknowledge them, he made them swear .

The gods weren't very happy with that but it seemed like Annabeth's glowing face made up for that ." I stopped again to finish off my Frappe.

"Then I found myself on an island" I began, as I relived the dream in my head . "I was standing on a white sand beach, the most amazing water I've ever seen spread out before me .

It was beautiful, lush green grass, bright flowers, warm sun shine, trees swaying in the breeze." I sighed, "it was perfect, I could have stayed there forever.

But" I stopped, bring the image to the forefront of my mind, this was the nicer part of the dream, I wanted to stay on it as long as possible .

"Then a girl with, shining auburn hair and porcelain skin, wearing jeans and a white T-shirt came into the picture . She was staring up at the sky, I looked u p to see what she was looking at. there was a massive bronze dragon, its skin sparkling in the sun like a tidal wave of pennies.

There was someone on its back, I couldn't make out who though. " I thought for a moment .

"Then the scene changed again, I was on mountain top, surrounded by monsters, Annabeth was chained inside what looked like a giant marble picture frame in the middle of a circle of pillars .Like she was their trophy . The circle was about thirty feet wide, the sky was overcast, it was freezing and dark .

The monsters stayed out of the circle, but every single one of them seamed to itch with longing to leap forward and slit her throat, all standing on the balls of their feet .Annabeth's tan, beautiful face was ashen grey, her eye's looked dead ." I shivered.

"Her hair fell across her face, which was covered in bruises and cuts, but she still held it high .

That was until one of the monsters brought out a whip ." I had to stop for a moment, taking a deep breath I finished . "It was a snake like creature, it waved the hideous whip in her face before slithering back around . "

I shivered again.

"It laughed, laughed, as it brought to whip down over and over again. Annabeth bit down on her lip till it bled, trying hard not to cry out, and she didn't . Blood ran down her back like water,... then... then they brought out another whip.

This one was black and covered in salt and bits of glass, dripping with acid" I stopped, tears pricking my eye's

"The last I heard was Annabeth's agonized scream ."
