Chapter 24, Harry POV,
Christmas at the Weasley's is always the best! Christmas donned bright and early on Ron's bright orange walls. I had a most unusual wake up call- It was a pillow smacking into my face, by none other than Ronald Billius Weasley. After pulling feathers from my mouth, I sat up to a blurry world. Ah, the wonders of needing glasses… I pull my glasses onto my nose, and smack Ron upside the head.
He just grins at me. "Happy Christmas!"
I can't help but grin ever since coming into the wizarding worlds, Christmas has been my favorite holiday. Especially when it's with the Weasley's. "Happy Christmas, Ron."
Sometimes, I have to wonder exactly how old my best friend is. He literally dragged me out of bed, pulling me down flight after flight of stairs into Mrs. Weasley's domain, the Burrow's kitchen.
I was swallowed in a mammoth hug. "Happy Christmas, dear!"
"Happy Christmas, Mrs. Weasley!" I choke out, my breath stolen from my lungs.
Ron, being the friend that he is, laughed. "Mum, you're choking him!"
Mrs. Weasley eases up, and hugs Ron. Chorus's of "Happy Christmas!" ring out as Ron and I step fully into the kitchen. The entire Weasley clan is there. Bill and Fluer, Charlie, Forge, Gred, Percy W., Penelope (Percy W.'s fiancé), Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, and, of course, Ginny and Hermione. While Hermione and I aren't technically Weasley's, I like to think that one day we will, if you know what I mean.
Ginny coms up to me, already dressed in her Weasley Christmas sweater, red with the Gryffindor lion on it. Her arms wrap around my neck, and mine slip around her slim waist. Ginny leans in close and whispers, "Happy Christmas, Harry."
"Happy Christmas, Ginny." The gap between us closes,
At least, until we get wolf-whistles from the twins, and we slip apart. The twins come up to us.
"It is a very,"
"Happy Christmas,"
"Indeed! Especially for Ickle-Harry-kins!"
I start to slip my wand out of my back pocket at the same time that Ginny does, and soon Gred and Forge are looking down our wands. Gred turns to Forge. "It seems, dear Forge, that those to love-birds really are meant for each other!"
"I have to agree, dear Gred! And I do believe that we need a strategic retreat!"
The twins back away, an I press my lips to Ginny's, while silently casting my patronus charm. I assume that a stag leapt forward, but excuse me if I was a little pre-occupied. When we pulled away, Gred and Forge where up against the wall, my stag, in a Father Nicholas hat (?), had the two pinned.
The boys grinned at me. "Nice one, Harry-kins!" The entire room was filled with laughter.
Ginny smiled at me, "Nice one, Harry! But come on, I'm sure that everyone wants to open presents!"
Mrs. Weasley held up her hands. "Hold on! Someone needs to get Percy and Annabeth!"
"I'll go," I volunteer. I re-climb the stairs, and slip into the room Percy and Annabeth have been occupying. It seems that they've already been awake for some time. Annabeth was lying on top of Percy, their hands clasped over the themselves, and the pair was talking quietly. I knock on the doorframe, and their heads snap up, only to relax when they see me.
"Hey guys, Happy Christmas! Mrs. Weasley wants to serve breakfast before it goes cold."
Percy grins at me, and Annabeth smiles. "Alright, Harry, we'll be there in a minute."Percy says. As I leave, I hear Percy say, "Come on, now, Wise Girl! You heard the man! There's food, and it's Christmas!"
In the kitchen, we all sat at a huge table. Ginny was next me, on my left, Ron to my right, Hermione next to him. Across from me was Percy J., Annabeth next to him, across from Ginny, and Charlie and Bill next to Percy J., Fluer at Bill's side. They had to have magically expanded the room, other wise, there would be no way that we could all have fit in here. Mrs. Wealsey had the tables moaning under the amount of food she shoved onto them, ensuring that we could all have thirds, and it seemed that Percy J., was taking full advantage. In the past few weeks, with the night terror's increasing in magnitude, both Percy and Annabeth's appetites had all but disappeared. it seemed that Percy was making up for the lost food. Annabeth was a bit more reluctant to eat, but after Percy took to feeding her himself, she miraculously gained an appetite.
Once breakfast was over, and we where all stuffed to the brim, it was time for presents. The first thing that everyone did was open their Weasley sweaters, if they hadn't already. Mine was emerald-green, with a large pair of circular black glasses and a lightning bolt scar above them. Ginny thought it was hilarious. Fred and George had matching blue sweaters with the yellow WWW that is their logo. Ron's was maroon with Quidditch hoops, Hermione's was chocolate-brown with "Hogwarts, A History". The real show-stoppers were Percy J.'s and Annabeth's.
Percy's was light grey with a sea green trident, and Annabeth's was sea green with a grey owl. They both got up and hugged Mrs. Wealsey, thanking her profoundly for the sweaters, immediately slipping the over each others heads. With the older lot of everyone seated on the couches and chairs, we had the floor. Ginny was curled up to my side as I leaned against the couch. Hermione and Ron held hands, and Annabeth's head was resting in Percy's lap.
Once everyone had a sweater one, we passed out gifts. Ginny's gasp jolted me out of laughing over Hermione's gifts to Ron and I- copies of Hogwarts, A History. Ginny held my gift in her hands, an emerald necklace. (Picture on my profile, hopefully!)
She looks at me with wide eyes. "Harry, where did you get this? It must have cost you a fortune!"
I smile at her. "It was my mum's. On my last birthday, a got a letter from Gringott's, saying that the Potter vault was officially mine. They end me a list with the inventory, and I found out that this was my Dad's Christmas present to my Mum the first year they were married. I thought you might like it…"
Ginny threw her arms around my neck in a hug that can rival only her mum's. "Thank you, Harry! I love it!" She grins up at me. "Help me with the clasp?"
Ginny turns around, and I do up the clasp. The girls all gush over the necklace, and the boys thump me on the bad for being a 'sentimental prat".
Everyone continues to open their presents. From Ron, I got a Chudley Cannon's poster, from Ginny, a refill for my broom servicing kit.
The best reaction to a gift was Fred and Georges's gift from me. "Fred, George. While I didn't get you a present, strictly speaking, I do have some information you might be interested in…."
Fred and George grin, and simultaneously say, "We're listening!"
"How would you feel if I told you that I know the identities of Misters Mooney, Padfoot, Wormtail, and Prongs?"
Fred and george gape at me. "Oh Almighty Harry-kins! Do tell us your mod treasured secret!"
"Well, that's not my biggest secret, and no, you two will not find out what it is, but here goes. Remus was Mooney. Padfoot was Sirius. Wormtail was Peter Pettigrew. And Prongs…. Was my dad."
Their mouths gape like fish's. "Mr. Mooney was a werwolf! Of course! And Siri was a dog… Pettigrew was a rat, and what was Prongs, Harry-kins?"
I smile. "Dad was a stag. They became animagi so that when the full moon came, they could run with Remus. That's actually why my patrons is a stag. Mun's was a doe, and Dad's was a stag, too."
Fred and George smiled at me. "Thanks! That's a mystery that's been bugging us since First Year when we nicked the Map from Filtch."
After that, Percy decided to give Annabeth her gift from him. "Here," he said, pressing a light peck to her temple, and passing her a small, newspaper wrapped box. She carefully unwrapped it, to revel a velvet box. When she opened it, there was a charm bracelet. Silver and bronze links held an owl, a pegisi, a wand, a book, and a small, red, blown glass heart.
"Thank you, Percy." She bent her head back in order to press a kiss to his lips.
Overall, it was one of the best Christmas's I've ever had.
