Taylor's POV
I had some coffee that I was delivering to Ric. I was wearing a long-sleeved blue dress. I knocked the door and Damon answered it.
"Morning, Wolfie." He greeted me. I rolled my eyes at him.
"How's Ric?" I questioned as I tried to enter, but he stopped me.
"He just got out of the shower but he's okay." Damon answered.
"Does that mean that last night went fine?" I inquired.
"Yes, so you can go now." Damon stated. "He is Alaric and no one else."
"So why does the apartment smell like sawdust?" I asked as I tried to look around.
"Don't you have to help your brother move?" He responded.
"Just take this stuff and give it to him." I remarked. He was right. I didn't have a lot of time because I did need to help Jeremy and Ashley move.
Anna's POV
Damon closed the door and Taylor left the complex. I was with Ric and Stefan as we were turning the Wickery Bridge sign into some stakes. We were going to kill some Originals. I let Stefan and Damon handling the witling.
"These need to have a sharper point." Stefan replied as he handed one to his brother. "We finally have enough stakes to kill an Original. We can't have them be too dull."
"So I'm gonna call the Sheriff to turn myself in." Ric announced.
"That's probably a bad idea." I remarked.
"I have a homicidal maniac inside my head." He pointed out. "Unlike some people in this room I would like to take responsibility for the people I've killed."
I was personally closing on my 5th year since I've permanently killed a human.
"If you wanted to turn yourself in, you wouldn't be saying it out loud." Damon declared as he read the paper. I imagine page one was the bridge fire.
"You cannot psychoanalyze me. I killed Caroline and Ashley's father and I nearly killed Meredith." He pointed out.
"You're not turning yourself in. You're too useful." Stefan ordered.
"His morals are very questionable when he has revenge on the brain." Damon quipped.
"Klaus needs to die and we have a chance to kill him, so you're not turning yourself in." Stefan added.
"Here's your ring, Ric." Damon said, handing him the jewelry. "Put it on."
"That ring is the reason that I've killed people." The teacher pointed out. It was a good reason not to wear it.
"It's also the reason you're alive. We're going vampire hunting, Ric. It helps if you're protected." Damon declared.
Ashley's POV
Later, we had to interrupt our moving because Stefan sent out a mass text to meet him in the woods. I went with Taylor and Caroline. I was wearing a navy dress with roses on it and coat with a black hose on this abnormally chilly early October day. Taylor just told us the identity of our dad's killer.
"Alaric Saltzman killed our father?" Caroline asked in shock and disbelief. Apparently he had this evil side.
"I know it's messed up but these herbs that Bonnie is giving him are healing him." Taylor explained.
"That doesn't make me feel better!" Caroline shouted.
"Care, he was sick and Bonnie is making him better." I pointed out. "It was not his fault."
At that point, Matt showed up. I guess Stefan had texted him too.
"Where's Bonnie?" Stefan asked as he stepped out with Damon and Anna. Why she was with them? "I texted her too."
"Bonnie's mom bailed on her so we're leaving her out of this." Caroline explained. He didn't look that happy.
"What are we doing here?" Matt inquired.
"We found some more white oak." Damon answered.
"So you have a weapon that can kill an Original?" I asked.
"Nope, we all do." Stefan replied as he dropped a bag full of white stakes. "Klaus has always been one step ahead of us, but now we have the advantage. We're all armed and they are all linked, meaning we only have to kill one of them."
"Scenario #1, you get to play Klaus." Damon stated as he grabbed Taylor.
"Rebekah is our target and we have to catch her off-guard." Stefan explained. "To that we need to keep Klaus separate and occupied."
"I'm coming." Anna remarked with a sigh. She shot Taylor some flirty looks. Those two have been spending too much time together.
"We can use the quarterback to distract Rebekah. You can keep her talking and act interested." Damon replied. "She's lonely and desperate."
"You didn't seem to mind." I quipped. I don't like how he thinks he and Caroline can have an open relationship.
"I come up from behind, grab Rebekah's arms, and then we stake.' Damon instructed.
"So we all have one stake, which we'll keep hidden and we'll save them for when the moment is right." Stefan explained.
"We will not pity them." Damon added staring at Taylor.
"Don't worry about me. I want to take this motherfucker down." She responded.
"We have 12 stakes, 12 shots at killing one Original." Stefan pointed out. "Now, let's try another scenario."
We went through a few more before I headed home to Jeremy and Jenna. It's not bad when you have your first house at 16.
Anna's POV
I decided to go to the boarding house with Damon. I really miss hanging out with Tyler. I hope we can kill Klaus soon so there is no more sire bond. Damon was trying to hide his stake in the firewood.
"Did you learn nothing from the moonstone in the soap dish?" Ric quipped.
"Where'd you put yours?" Damon inquired. Suddenly, we heard noises coming from downstairs. Damon and Ric went downstairs while I stayed up with a stake handy. I heard someone being thrown before hearing Rebekah and Damon grunting. She was gone with him before I could get downstairs.
Taylor's POV
I went to town square while Caroline was trying to contact Bonnie.
"Mr. Saltzman was like the most normal guy in town." Matt told me.
"No, that's you." I pointed out before I saw Josh. I guess Stefan hadn't texted him. I didn't have a stake to give him.
"What's going on?" He asked us.
"We've got these weapons to kill Originals, but we don't have one for you." I explained. "It's probably because Stefan doesn't like you."
"Are you sure that this is a good idea?" Josh responded.
"It probably isn't one." Matt declared.
"Is it weird that Bonnie isn't returning my calls?" Caroline questioned.
"Is it weird that Klaus's brother is in the middle of town square?" Matt replied as we turned to Finn with some trampy redhead.
"I thought Finn left town." I remarked. I decided to listen to what they were saying. Simply put, she was his girlfriend. I then decided to call Stefan. "Finn is in town square. He's with his girlfriend and he looks happy to be alive."
"Sage…" Stefan realized.
"How are we gonna do this?" I questioned. "We didn't prepare for him."
"Taylor, I want you to not do anything until I get there." Stefan instructed me.
"Then get Damon and get down here." I told him before I heard Ric grunting.
"Damon's kind of unavailable right now." I heard Anna say. "Rebekah took him."
That was a problem. I couldn't help but wonder how we were going to save him. Could we even be sure that he wasn't already dead? It would be very good if we were knew where Bonnie was right now.
Ashley's POV
We had just finished installing the TV. We had to wait for the cable guy, but we would could watch a movie on it while Jenna was sleeping.
"So what's this that I heard about killing Originals?" Jeremy asked. "Is it even a good idea for us to have a stake?"
"Well they won't expect it." I told him. "We could invite an Original in and shoot them with it."
"I don't really want to risk that right now." Jeremy admitted.
"Well maybe our lives can go back to normal when we don't have to deal with them anymore." I opined.
Anna's POV
Caroline came in while I was treating Ric's wound on the couch.
"I hear you had a run in with Buffy the vampire." She commented.
"I'm surprised that you're not tearing the town apart to look for him." Ric stated.
"That's not how it works. I don't know where he is, so unless he tells me, I can't do anything about it." She explained.
"What are you doing here" Ric questioned.
"I came to make sure that you were still you." Caroline stated.
"He's him." I replied.
"In any case, I brought some more herbs." She stated. "So how do you usually take them? Do you chew them?"
"It's disgusting no matter how you do it." Ric declared before he bite took a bite.
"Well, it's either that or kill people." Caroline remarked. So they were going to have this conversation.
"I'm sorry." He apologized. I don't know if he could say anything else.
"When I first turned, I killed someone." She explained. "I killed him and I liked it. It was refreshing. I have blood on my hands. I can't hold anything against you."
"Yeah, but the blood on my hands is your father's." He pointed out.
"Well, the guy I killed probably had a family, one that didn't know what happened to him." She replied. "I'm not any better than you, none of us are. So I am going to forgive you because there are no better options."
I met with Stefan outside of the Grill. Matt and Josh were currently inside.
"So is Ric still Ric?" I questioned.
"Yes, and Anna and Caroline are with him to make sure he stays that way." He answered. "We need to plan our next move."
"Rebekah has Damon. We need to rescue him." I remarked. "He would do the same for us."
"The plan is see an Original, kill an Original." Stefan argued.
"That was the plan before Damon was kidnapped." I pointed out.
"Look, if we kill Finn, they'll die and Damon will be free." Stefan told me. That was actually a good point.
"Fine, let's do this." I replied before we walked inside of the restaurant.
Inside, Sage was teasing Finn about how he had never had tequila. I'm not sure if that was exactly invented before we was put in the coffin. I also couldn't help but notice that Sage had brought backup. Stefan gave Matt some vervain to put in their drinks. I could have done that. We had a stake ready and I went out back to meet them. I don't know what happened outside, but I grabbed a bow and shot him before Matt stabbed him with the stake and we rushed back inside. I hoped that Stefan was able to get out okay.
Our next move was to go to the boarding house. Hopefully, Damon would be there soon. Anna was the only one I saw.
"How's Alaric?" I questioned.
"He's fine. Caroline took him home." She explained. "Did you kill Finn?"
"Yes, but he's the only one that we know is dead right now." I answered.
"We won't find out if it worked until we see Klaus's dead body." Stefan stated.
Suddenly the phone began to ring. It was Bonnie. I answered it.
"I'm surprised that you're talking to me." I stated.
"Klaus has Damon." She remarked.
"But Klaus should be dead. We killed Finn." I told her. "They all should be dead."
"He forced me to unlink them. He threatened Elena and my mom." She responded.
"Okay, where is Damon?" I inquired, glaring at Stefan.
"They're at Klaus's mansion." Bonnie told me. "I have to go. I have to go."
"We need to send someone to check up on her." I declared. "Maybe I should go and rescue Damon. Klaus won't kill me and he won't let anyone else do it either."
"You can't kill Klaus." Stefan argued.
"Well he will kill you." I pointed out. "He'll probably bite you before you get a chance to stake him."
"Klaus does not get to survive this." He argued. "I won't let him."
At that first, the door flew opened and Sage and that other vampire came in. She effortlessly threw Anna to the ground.
"I'm not here for you. I'm here for him." Sage stated. Suddenly she began to cough and her nose began to bleed. She and the other guy just well…died. How did they suddenly die? We looked over them in confusion.
"That was unexpected." I commented.
"So Sage and Troy died within an hour of Finn." Anna summarized. "Do we have any idea why?"
"Could it be that Sage died of a broken heart?" I guessed.
"That doesn't explain why Troy died." Anna replied as Stefan began to pace.
"It's the blood: her bloodline." He declared. "Finn turned Sage and Sage turned Troy. They're all part of the same vampire bloodline."
"So now you're saying that when an Original dies, that every vampire from their bloodline dies with them?" I responded. "Well this really decreases our chances of killing Klaus. Also I think I owe Bonnie a giant thank you basket because she just saved the lives of every vampire on the planet."
"Let me take care of this." Anna volunteered. "I'll go rescue Damon because I know that my bloodline belongs to Elijah. He turned my mother and she turned me. You need to figure out your bloodline."
Anna went to gather the stakes. She was going to take eight of them. I hoped that they were all from the same bloodline, even though we did not need to kill Elijah or Rebekah. Kol I was unsure about.
Anna's POV
"I can't believe they sent you." Damon replied. He was hanging with his arms in bear traps. The good thing about Klaus being obsessed with me was that it made him unlikely to kill me.
"Klaus, I'm here for Damon!" I called into the house.
"I can't believe they sent you." Rebekah said. Does everyone forget that I'm older than everyone else? "What do you want?"
"I'm here to make a deal." I stated as I threw the bag to the ground. It had 8 in it, missing Damon's, Ric's and the one I had in my stocking. "I have 8 white oak stakes from the sign to Wickery Bridge that you forget to burn."
"The sign?" Rebekah asked as Klaus scowled at her.
"One's already been used to kill Finn." I added.
"You killed my brother?" Rebekah asked in a mixture, surprise, shock, and anger.
"Technically Matt did." I answered. "I'll take Damon in exchange for these stakes."
"How do I know there aren't more?" Klaus asked before he walked over to Damon. "Let's be certain. Leave."
"Nik, he's my plaything, she's yours." Rebekah responded. That wouldn't be true if my life depended on it, which it probably wouldn't. He then compelled Damon to get out of the trap, even though it could rip his hands off.
Taylor's POV
"So the bodies are buried." I told Stefan as I reentered the house. "So we can't do this in a way that anyone is going to die. So let's go over what we have. Katherine turned you and Damon, and Damon turned Caroline and Bonnie's mom. Katherine was turned by Rose."
"So who turned Rose?" Stefan questioned as I wiped my hands. "We need to figure it out to see if we can kill Klaus. I don't care about the rest of them. I just want to kill him."
"Hold on, there is a problem with all this. We know that Tyler was turned by Klaus." I pointed out.
"Well Tyler's not exactly in a good place with his sire bond." Stefan replied. "I can't say that I would mind living in a world without hybrids."
Anna's POV
Damon was getting nowhere with trying to get out of the trap.
"Okay, you can stop." Klaus chuckled. "Well now we know that he can be compelled. Now minus the stake that killed my brother, how many white oaks stakes did you make?"
"11." Damon answered. Well that was unfortunate.
"Well here are you are trying to give me 8." Klaus replied. "So where are the other three?"
"I think that's one in her stocking." Rebekah declared. Okay, maybe that wasn't the best hiding place. I took it out and threw it to the floor.
"Now there are only two more." Klaus stated.
"This is ridiculous." Rebekah said as she let Damon go. "I brought him here and I get to release him. Bring us the stakes and I won't kill any of you. Please be quick with it because I don't have a lot of patience."
She grabbed the bag and walked off.
"Bring us the stakes." Klaus agreed. "The longer it takes, the more people will die."
Taylor's POV
I met up with Anna and Josh at the house. We needed to figure out this bloodline stuff, even if it didn't matter. It was still good to know.
"We need to get Elena back." I declared. "If Klaus sent someone after her, she's safer here. The three of us can leave tomorrow bring her back."
"No." Josh said. "I don't want to go with you. I think that you should go with Stefan. You still have feelings for him and you need to figure them out."
"We also need to figure out a way to see if we can find out who turned Rose." Anna stated. "Do you think that it might be possible that Jeremy could talk to her?"
"Maybe." I replied. "It's probably something else that we need to try. The last thing that we need to do is find out where Ric hid his stake."
At that moment, Ric called. That was convenient.
"So we have a bit of a problem. I don't know where the stake is." He declared. "I don't think I was the one who hid it."
Well, fuck.
So Taylor is going with Stefan to get Elena back. What will happen on their trip? There may be a different ending than the one you're used so please don't forget to review
