After they got back to the house, they packed and readied themselves for travel.

"I think that's everything," said Katara.

They headed out back to an airship. Zuko loaded the airship. After he was finished, Katara started to board it, but Zuko took her hand and pulled her back.

"We aren't going by airship?" Katara was confused.

"No, but I want people to think we are. Come on," said Zuko quietly as he led her to a stable nearby.

They went in the stall where Druk was.

"It's a dragon," said Katara. She remembered that Aang and Zuko learned firebending from the dragons, but it was the first time she'd seen one alive and up close.

"Katara, this is Druk. Druk, this is Katara," said Zuko. Druk smelled Katara and licked her. "He likes you."

"It reminds me of Appa," said Katara sadly.

"You miss him don't you?" Zuko asked.

"Yes," said Katara.

Zuko handed Katara clothes from the Earth Kingdom.

"What's this for?" Katara asked.

"A disguise," Zuko replied.

"Won't they know it's you on Druk?" Katara asked with quirked eyebrow.

"No, Druk flies alone sometimes. People will think we went on the airship and I had a friend who gets along with Druk take care of him," said Zuko.

"And does such a person exist?" Katara asked skeptically, as she got into an empty stall and changed her clothes.

"Haru gets along with Druk," said Zuko.

"What about the airship?" Katara asked after she got out of the stall.

Zuko got in the stall and changed his clothes.

"The people flying in it are loyal to me and most of them don't know the details of what's going on only that they are to head to the South Pole. They have all been trained and know what to do if there is an attack," said Zuko.

Zuko handed Katara a pointed hat. She put it on, and he put one on himself. Then Zuko helped her on Druk. Then he got on. Druk knew what to do and left the stable and took off at dusk.

Druk flew faster than Appa. They arrived near the Southern Air Temple at midnight.

Zuko built a fire to keep them warm.

"It's strange to be here without Aang," said Katara. "Are we going to make camp?"

"I thought we'd stop and rest for a while. How are you feeling?" Zuko asked.

"I'm fine. I can make until we reach home," said Katara.

"Okay. Let's go," said Zuko as made the fire dwindle. Katara streamed water over the remains of the fire to ensure it was out. They got on Druk and arrived at the Southern Water Tribe the next morning.

"Mom, Zuko? Is that you?" Kya asked, as Zuko helped Katara off of Druk.

"Yes. It's us," said Katara.

"Let's go inside," Zuko suggested.

Kya led them into an igloo.

"Uncle Sokka wasn't expecting you for at least another week," said Kya.

"There was a change of plans," said Zuko.

"Is something wrong?" Kya asked. Zuko looked at Katara.

"There were rumors that there was going to be an attack," said Katara.

"I'm going to talk to Sokka," said Zuko. He left the igloo and headed toward where he thought Sokka might be.

"So why are you guys back so soon? It's not just because of rumors is it?" Kya asked.

"No. I saw healer, and he suggested no more traveling after I'm twenty weeks along. Zuko agreed so we returned now. The healer also recommended bed rest," said Katara.

"Is something wrong with them?" Kya asked, as she looked at her mother's abdomen.

"Feel for yourself," said Katara as she placed her daughter's hand over her belly. Kya felt kicking.

"Wow," she said.

"They're very active," said Katara.

"Did you travel all night?" Kya asked.

"Yes," Katara replied.

"Why don't you go lay down for a while," said Kya. Katara took a short nap.
