A storm raged outside the dorm room, lightening forked the darkened sky with bright swatches of luminescent light before disappearing, leaving blackness in its wake. Rain washed against the windows, pelting the glass with slivery streams. The six miracles huddled together in the large room, the storm raging outside the only sound between them. Murasakibara's gaze drifted from the trees, bending under the onslaught of water, to his teammates, never resting on any single one for more than a moment.

Akashi was huddled underneath a bed's comforter, his heterochromatic eyes closed and his face scrunched as he attempted to sleep. He had yet to say a word since the incident in the locker room, all he did was huddle against Kuroko for support, who was trapped between Akashi's body and the wall. Kuroko's usually blank eyes were riveted upon Akashi's form, consternation forming a knot between his brows. He smoothed a hand over the unkempt red strands, fingers curling as Akashi trembled beneath him.

Midorima watched the display with equal parts dismay and worry, his own fingers tightly wound around Kise's waist. As awkward as it looked to Murasakibara, their position seemed not to affect Midorima, for he rested his chin against Kise's blond head and kept his mouth pursed into a thin line, eyes still roving over the other couple in the room. Kise, for once, remained still in Midorima's arms, his eyes hooded as he leaned back into Midorima's hold.

On the opposite side of the room, Aomine feigned nonchalance as he lay across a bed, his head resting upon a fist and a gravure magazine spread out in front of him. He couldn't quite pull of the sense of detachment, however, for his cobalt eyes pinched at the corners and he'd been staring at the same picture for well over a half hour, a feat impossible for one with the libido that Aomine claimed to possess.

Murasakibara sat in a chair, leaning against one of the desks in the room as he consumed liberal amounts of snacks and watched his teammates. He opened his mouth, as if to say something to break the silence stretching between him, but found no words. Unsure of what to say, Murasakibara grabbed another handful of chips, letting the salty taste wash over his tongue. The crunch of the chips ricocheted across the room, a resonating cacophony of sound amid the otherwise silent room.

Kise shifted in Midorima's lap, his discomfort obvious, but still, no one said anything. The silence stretched on, apparently endlessly.

"Gah, I can't take this shit anymore. This awkward silence is killing me." Tactlessly as ever, Aomine broke the tension in the air. He rose from the bed and cracked his knuckles, his back and neck following shortly thereafter.

Midorima winced at the sound, his hand reflexively moving to shift his glasses as he chided, "You know, that's not good for you. If you keep doing that, you'll have bad joints when you're older."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. If you care so much, why don't you just become a doctor?" Aomine shot back, scowling at the shooting guard.

"I could, if I so desired, which is more than I can say for a moron like you." Midorima sniffed pretentiously and Murasakibara almost giggled as his head cocked, challenging Aomine to say more.

"Tch, like I'd want to be some stuffy doctor anyway."

Kise chose then to giggle, his whole face lighting with forced mirth as he shuddered atop Midorima. His amber eyes considerably brightened, even if it was a façade of good humor, he sputtered out, "Ha, Midorimacchi... imagine hahaha. Imagine Ao…Aominecchi. As a doctor." Kise paused for a moment, seemingly thoughtful, before his eyes widened and he laughed again, louder than before. "No, a nurse! Hahahahahahaha. His pissy-ass face…nurse uniform." Kise gasped for breath, his stress compiling into a single, condensed fit of giggles. "Can't breathe. Kill me now."

"Gladly." Aomine growled, his fist colliding with his open palm and making a loud 'thwack' sound as he approached the model.

"Noooo! Not the face. Anything but the face. What'll my fans say if you ruin my livelihood?!" Kise stood up, ready to defend himself.

Aomine smiled menacingly, teeth starkly white against his dark skin. "They'll thank me, 'cause they don't have to see your ugly ass everywhere."

Kise gasped. "You take that back." Aomine snorted, shaking his head. Kise shrieked, fury rising as the taller male advanced. "You take that back or I'll burn all your gravure magazines."

"You wouldn't dare."

Kise darted forward, scraping underneath Aomine's outstretched arms. He plucked the forgotten magazine from the bed, dangling it between his fingers. Mockingly, he said, "Try me."

"Whoa, calm down, Kise. Let Mai-chan go. She has nothing to do with this." Aomine held his hands up in mock surrender, the gravity of his predicament finally dawning on him.

Midorima, finally tired of their incessant arguing, snapped, "Shut up! I'm sick of your bickering."

Murasakibara stilled as a muffled sob escaped from where Akashi and Kuroko still lay entwined. He turned towards them, expecting another outbreak from Akashi, but was unpleasantly surprised by Kuroko's teal eyes swimming with tears.

The others soon stopped their bickering, also surprised by the sound emanating from the usually emotionless man.

Kise and Aomine ran to him immediately, offering awkward words of comfort that only made the frail man tremble more. Midorima stared at him, much like Murasakibara did, unable to think of an adequate response. Instead, he reached forward hesitantly, only to clamp his hands over his face in the guise of fixing his glasses. Murasakibara watched, mouth agape, as Akashi was awakened by the fuss, his heterochromatic eyes blinking away sleep as they directed themselves to Kuroko's form.

As soon as they noticed the murderous aura surrounding Akashi, both Aomine and Kise backed away, hands up in surrender as Akashi fixed then both with a glare. They clutched at each other for a moment before they realized to whom they'd clung to, resulting in a sudden explosion of expletives and unnecessary motions of revulsion.

Murasakibara was only momentarily distracted by their antics, for it was much more interesting to watch the scene play out between Akashi and Kuroko, especially when Kuroko pulled away from the caress Akashi laid gently over the curve of his jaw.

"Tetsuya?" Akashi didn't respond with his usual cold anger. For the second time that night, his own frailty showed as he looked to the smaller man.

Kuroko looked around, his eyes uncertain. "I can't deal with this anymore."

"Uh, can't deal with what?" Kise asked. He, like everyone else in the room, didn't really know how to handle the situation. No one was used to watching their friends cry, at least not since high school. Everything was supposed to better now that they were back together…

Kuroko's entire form seemed to quiver, his voice as unsure as his shivering body. "I'm so confused. I can't just sit here and watch this."

"I'm the one that's confused, Tetsu. Stop speaking nonsense." Aomine barked, taken aback by the unexpected turn of events.

Midorima, surprisingly, was the one to bring Kuroko out of his panicked state, his taped hand alighting upon Kuroko's shoulder. "Relax, Kuroko. You're only stressing yourself out more. Take a deep breath and tell us what's bothering you."

He inhaled deeply, his body still shaking. Murasakibara kind of wanted to pick him up and put him back in bed so he wouldn't fall over, but he figured that wouldn't really help the situation any. Instead he waited on baited breath as Kuroko calmed himself.

"I feel so useless. No matter what we do, we can't ever get along. Every time things start to work out, everything spins out of control and we start to hate each other again."

"Tetsuya…"

"Be quiet, Akashi-kun," Kuroko snapped, "I'm tired of ignoring what's going on here. I thought that if I played off Kise-kun's feelings and ignored Aomine-kun's advances, everything would fall back into place, but instead all I saw was red whenever Midorima-kun looked at you, Akashi-kun. We've been comforting Murasakibara-kun because Midorima-kun won't look at him, but it didn't solve anything. Instead, everyone just misunderstood one another and began to hate each other more. This time, it won't be solved with basketball. I don't think this situation can be solved."

Silence lay heavy upon the group once more. Everyone refused to meet the multitude of questioning gazes darting about the room. Kise and Aomine were both staring at Kuroko, while Akashi looked over towards Midorima. Murasakibara felt Midorima's eyes on him, but he refused to acknowledge him, embarrassment hot on his cheeks as his gaze continued to bore into Kuroko's sternum.

"Kuro-chin is being unfair." Murasakibara hadn't meant to speak. It had just kind of happened. His giant hands clapped over his mouth, amethyst eyes wide as he looked over to the smaller man.

"Murasakibara-kun, this entire situation is unfair. I didn't ask to be in the middle of this conflict. At this point, I'm considering cutting my losses and leaving. I cannot deal with this any longer. And you may hate me for telling Midorima-kun your feelings, but it's not like I have any other choice. It's not like we can all just get together and form some merry little polygamous circle of requited love. People are going to get hurt and I'd rather if it wasn't me. I've suffered enough at the hand of you 'Miracles'." Kuroko laughed, oblivious to the spark of contemplation in Akashi's eyes. "Ha, I'm not even one of you. Remember, I'm just here because of the whims of Aomine-kun and Akashi-kun. Without their help, I would have quit basketball before all of this stupid, stupid conflict started. I shouldn't be here. I need to leave." Kuroko made his way for the door, his panic back full force. This time, it was Akashi who stopped him, hand darting out to snag Kuroko's wrist, jerking the boy into the redhead's arms. "Let me go, Akashi-k…"

Akashi smoothed a hand over Kuroko's hair, then brought it down to cover his mouth. Kuroko attempted to protest, but the look in Akashi's eyes stopped him. He was deep in thought, the same way he was before he planned a genius strategy against a tough opponent.

Murasakibara opened his mouth unwittingly again, spitting out, "Aka-chin, why are you looking at us like that?"

Indeed, Akashi's gaze was now resolutely looking about the room, resting on each and every person and assessing them thoroughly, the look of scrutiny still in his eyes.

Kise shuddered, flinching away from Akashi's gaze, "I dunno, but Akashicchi's kinda scaring me."

"Would it really be that hard?" Akashi's voice was soft, incredulous wonder somehow saturating his tone.

Midorima blinked, his glasses flashing as he asked, "Pardon me? What are you talking about?"

"I think we could do it. It's the best solution, right? It would fix everything, but…"

Aomine's fist smashed into a wall. Everyone turned to look at him as he panted heavily, eyes burning in anger. "I dunno what's going on here. What nonsense are you babbling about right now? I'm not smart enough to follow semantics and half-answers. I wanna straightforward answer. The Hell are you talking about?"

Akashi looked calmly about the room, a slight smirk on his face, even as he suggested the most incredulous of propositions. "We could try a polygamous relationship. It would solve all of our problems. We could all get along and then there would be no 'unrequited' love affairs, only a group to support us all."

Kise laughed. Everyone else was too shocked to react, Kise's braying loud amid the silence that stretched around them. "Akashicchi's so silly. There's no way that'd work. Besides, you hate me right now, remember. I want to take Kurokocchi away from you. There's no way you'd be able to get over…gah."

In a second, Akashi had released Kuroko and pulled the blond down to place a kiss on his unsuspecting lips. Kise sputtered in surprise, yanking away. He opened his mouth to protest, but Akashi shut him up by connecting their lips once more, his mouth firm as it moved against the model's. After a moment, Akashi pulled away, a smug smirk on his lips. "What were you saying, Ryōta?"

"You kissed me! Are you crazy? I'm dating Midori… You're serious, aren't you, Akashicchi?" The shorter man nodded. "But…"

"Wait, are you guys saying I get to fuck everyone here?" Aomine was excited, his eyes wild as a grin split his face. "I'll get to be in a legit orgy? Fuck yeah!"

Midorima huffed disdainfully at the ace, revulsion apparent in his eyes. "You were easy to convince. I'm ashamed."

Aomine scratched his head sheepishly. "If I can be with Tetsu, I'll do anything. Besides, its not like you guys are ugly. I'm sexually attracted to you, ya know."

Midorima shuddered. "Polygamy is disgusting. Love is meant to be shared between two people, not six."

"Waaah, Midorimacchi doesn't love me. Why'd you let me…" Kise pouted, crocodile tears spilling over as he regarded his boyfriend.

Midorima blushed. "That…I…that was different. I do l…like you. I…" He stuttered, cheeks red and eyes downcast.

Murasakibara decided to join the fray, enveloping Midorima in a giant hug. "Mido-chin is cute when he stutters. Almost as cute as when you wear a tiara. You should do that again…" His thoughts trailed off as he was lost in fantasy. Midorima quickly escaped his grasp, glaring irately at the only man that towered over him.

"So does that mean all of you are fine with this sort of arrangement?" Midorima inquired, aghast.

"I'm fine with it. Aka-chin and Kuro-chin have already slept with me a lot, so it's not weird to have more people."

Midorima cradled his head in his hands, "Yes, it is."

Kise pushed his head against Midorima's chest. "I accept it, because I love everyone. Midorimacchi should lighten up. I'm sure you'll enjoy it."

Akashi scoffed. "Of course I approve. I did suggest it."

"Midorima-kun, don't you agree that it solves our problems. This way we can all get along."

"No, no, no, no. There's no way I'd ever do something as dishonest as that. I want to devote me heart to the one I love. Y…you're all sick. I'm leaving." Midorima shook Kise's clingy grip off of him and dashed for the door. Murasakibara tried to stop him, but missed. Midorima wrenched the door open, shouting back to the five, "I'm sleeping in the other room. You can go have your disgusting orgy in here. Leave me out of it." And he slammed the door, leaving the others scratching their heads as guilt and doubt roiled in their guts.

A/N It's been a while, hasn't it. Well, I'm out of excuses, so…sorry. But, this story is finally moving along. Only a few more chapters and I've finished! Then I'm going to cry and re-edit, because Heaven knows this story needs a lot more fleshed out and a couple scenes smoothed out and…I'm getting off track. I'm just glad I can finally get this out. Sorry for the wait, I'll get the next part out faster, I swear.

Also, I've been playing around with Kuroko no Basket threesomes, so I'll have a couple posted in a little while, if you want to check those out. Yes, I'm soliciting myself. I like weird pairings, so I write weird pairings in the hope that others will read my strange pairings and be inspired to write them to. (cough Midorima, Kise, Takao cough), (cough Imayoshi, Hanamiya, Haizaki cough). So yeah, if you write one, message me, I'd love to read it.
