I'm writing to you from my standard issue, uncomfortable army dorm bed in the dark depths of Yorkshire. Just arrived this morning, it's pretty much like Basic all over again. The place is crammed with girl medics so you guys would probably be wandering around with permanent stiffies if you were here with me!
Enough with the funny stuff, I'll get down to the real reason I'm writing to you. I've sent this to Kinders as it's easier to do it in one letter to you all rather than write one to each of you. 1-because I've not got enough paper, and 2-as I probably wouldn't stop crying.
I told you all a bit of a fib when we were in the club. Yes I'm definitely up here in Yorkshire (look at the post mark) training and luckily it is only 9 days. But and here's the big but, I'm then being deployed straight off to Sierra Leone, helping other medics sort this Ebola bastard. You were right Nude Nut, it's definitely kicking off in Africa for me!
I didn't tell you as I didn't want to spoil our weekend and I don't want you guys to be worrying about me. I'm properly paying attention to make sure there's no chance I can catch it! As soon as I've got the base details I promise I'll write to you again and tell you how it is-you know-topping up my sun tan, maybe make a detour to do a safari so I know you're all jealous really. ;) (Maybe apart from the bit when I might literally be in the shit)
I hope, you guys being like my extended family an all, are behind me. I won't lie I'm a bit scared but knowing you lot believe in me certainly helps. I'd also like you to do me a favour and keep in touch with Captain James. Seriously though, I know you'll think I'm fussing as I'm his girlfriend now but I do worry about him as he's been through enough this year and I think you lot would really help him. So if you do go out on the occasional piss up try and invite him, please for me.
