Chapter 25 – Making Us Proud

A whistle blew several times. But the students ignored it, as they cheered for the fight to continue. Fists were thrown, punches were flung. Grunts, groans and yells were heard among the cheering. Ludwig ducked as Alfred Jones threw one to his face and hit the American squarely in the stomach making him double over. Another blast of the whistle was sounded and suddenly the English teacher, Mrs. Edelstein and the headmaster, Mr. Adnan stormed through the throng of students just in the time to see Ludwig throw a hard smacking punch against Alfred's jaw.

"Ludwig Beilschmidt!" Sadiq Adnan yelled over the noise. "Go straight to my office immediately! Jones, go straight to the nurse's office now and come to my office when you're done."

"Yes, sir." Alfred whimpered, making Ludwig growl at him as he wiped his bloody lip. Thanks to his brother, Ludwig was pretty handy with his fists. Gilbert had taught him how to fight and fighting that damned American had been easy. Alfred was all over the place when it came to fight and kicked anyone who fought him while they were down. But Ludwig knew Alfred's techniques and had used them against him. Ludwig defended as well as threw out his dukes. Brains were better than brawn!

Ludwig looked up at the headmaster who glared at him and pointed a tanned finger towards the direction of his office. Ludwig snarled at him and stormed off. The students soon hurried off back to classes, disappointed by the sudden end of a fight. Ludwig wasn't bothered about them, or Alfred, or Mr. Adnan...he was bothered about the call his guardians would get and he knew they wouldn't be happy. Gilbert may have taught him how to fight but Gilbert had made him promise to both him and his five year boyfriend, Frederick that he wouldn't use fighting at school. And he knew they would lecture him just like Mr. Adnan would. He sat down on the creaky chair outside the office and crossed his arms sulkily.

Gilbert laughed and pulled Fritz down, crushing their lips together. The loud laughter was cut off and soon became muffled moans and hands began to wander in places and grasp anything worth grasping. Hips rolled together making the moment become heated and arousing. The lovers parted and breathed for air as their hips grinded together and the bulges in their pants growing. Gilbert lolled his head back at the feeling and growled in his throat. Boy, did Fritz know how to make him a whimpering mess! Fritz chuckled and kissed the exposed neck of the younger man. Gilbert gasped as he felt Fritz's teeth on his skin. Gilbert reached down in between them and suddenly began to undo the buttons and pulled down the zipper—

RING, RING!

RING, RING!

Gilbert growled as Fritz pulled back and stood up to answer the phone.

"Hello?" Frederick asked; as he reached down to adjust himself. Gilbert grinned at the sight. "I'm sorry, vhat's Ludwig done?"

Gilbert froze at the mention of his little brother and listened to the one-sided conversation, his grin fading.

"Please tell me you're joking...I see." Frederick sighed. "Yes, yes. Ve'll be zere right avay. Zank you. Goodbye, Mr. Adnan." Frederick hung up the phone and glared at Gilbert.

"Vhat?" Gilbert asked, affronted.

"I really do vish you hadn't taught Ludwig how to fight. He's gotten into a fight viz one of ze students. Apparently, he's done a pretty good number on him too."

"Ludwig beat up someone?"

Frederick nodded. "Und I blame you for teaching him it."

"Me?"

"Yes you, Gilbert! Who else taught him how to fight, because it certainly vasn't me?"

"Hey, hey, I only had his best interests at heart."

"Yes, und now he's in ze headmaster's office. He could get suspended, Gilbert."

"Vell, he did promise us to not use fighting in school."

Frederick sighed and pulled Gilbert to his feet. "I know he did. But let's just go und see vhat ze matter is."

"Fine zen but you owe me!"

Frederick smiled and kissed him on the cheek.

They soon arrived at the school and Elizabeta Edelstein was waiting for them outside the door. She glared at them and opened the door to the headmaster's office. She nodded towards the door.

"He's inside, waiting. Zank you for coming."

Gilbert glared at her and pulled Frederick inside. Inside the room, Ludwig was sitting in one of the chairs by the back wall. Sadiq was sitting at his desk, typing, before looking up and seeing Gilbert and Fritz.

"Ah, Gilbert, Frederick, come on in. Thank you, Elizabeta. That'll be all."

The English teacher nodded and left the room. The two sat down and Sadiq cleared his throat, clasped his hands together and looked at the two.

"As you may have gathered by the phone call, Ludwig is in a bit of a bother."

"Vhat kind of bother?" Gilbert growled. "Vhat's zis about my little bruder fighting?"

"Well, he has been fighting. Apparently, he gave Alfred Jones a black eye and a bloody lip."

Gilbert looked around at Ludwig. "Is zat true, Luddy?"

Ludwig looked up, a light blush appearing on his face. "Ja, it is."

"Und did you did vin?"

Frederick gaped at his boyfriend and gave him a questioning look. "Gil...vhat are you...?"

"Shhh! Give me a minute! Vell, did you?"

"Sort of; Mr Adnan kind of broke it apart before I could finish it?"

Gilbert looked around at the headmaster. "Don't tell me zat you interrupted ze fight?"

"Well, I had to, Gilbert. I can't allow this kind of thing in my school."

"Vhy not? You did it plenty of times, vhen ve vere in school!"

Sadiq went scarlet. "That was in the past; this is now. Ludwig broke the rules and I think he may have to suffer two weeks of detention for it."

"If I can interrupt here," Frederick said, leaning forward in his chair. "Just who vas he fighting against?"

"Alfred Jones."

"Und vhat vere zey fighting about, exactly? Und I don't vant to hear it from you, Sadiq, I vant to hear it from ze horse's mouth." Frederick turned to look at his boyfriend's brother. "So, vhat vere you two fighting about?"

Ludwig's pink tinge suddenly became a dark shade. "He—He vas picking on Feliciano."

"Is zat all?"

"Nein, he vas making fun of you two. He vas being really...um, vhat's ze vord?"

"Homophobic?" Gilbert asked, suddenly getting to his feet.

"Ja, he vas."

"Und zis coming ze boy who likes zat Kirkland brat."

"No, he doesn't fancy Arthur; he likes his sister, Alice."

Frederick looked back at the head teacher. "Are you kidding me? You're allowing zis kind of zing in your school; homophobia, of all things?"

"Fritz—"

"Hey!" Gilbert snarled. "I only call him zat!"

Sadiq sighed. "Frederick, Gilbert, I cannot know everything that goes on in this school. The teachers, here, help and report this to me, so we all deal with it. But sometimes matters like this are not often told to us because sometimes the kids don't know what to do. But we will deal with this matter."

"Ja? Vell, I suggest you suspend zat Jones instead of Ludwig, if you have any ideas, Sadiq, old buddy. I don't tolerate zis behaviour anyvhere."

"I know, Gilbert. You don't think I can see that. I can see why Ludwig was angry about this, but fighting—"

"I know!"

"Gilbert," Frederick warned. "Enough." He then looked at the Turk. "All right, you can give Ludwig, ze two veeks detention but Alfred should get more, agreed?"

Sadiq blinked at the older man. "Agreed." He said, finally.

Frederick looked over at Ludwig. "Agreed?"

Ludwig didn't say anything but nodded. Fritz then looked over at his lover. "Agreed, Gilbert?"

"But Fritz—!"

"Gilbert!" the man growled. They stared at one another waiting for one of them to break. Gilbert sighed. "Fine, agreed." The albino then sat down and sulked in the chair.

"Good," said Sadiq. "I'm glad that that is settled. Right, I'll let you go back home and I'll sort Ludwig and Alfred out."

Gilbert scoffed, making Fritz give him a nasty look.

"Thank you for coming, both of you. I'll be seeing Alfred's parents."

"Good." Gilbert said, getting to his feet. "Right, come on, Fritz. I need somezing to make me forget all of zis."

"One second, Gilbert." Frederick then walked over to Ludwig and knelt down in front of him. "Ludwig, look at me. Do you promise zat you vill never use fighting again? No matter ze situation."

"Ja, Fritz, sorry. Sorry, Gilbert."

"Vhat are you sorry for? I'm proud of vhat you did. Now, let's forget about zis whole zing, okay?"

"Okay zen."

"Good." Gilbert said. He then looked over to his lover and grinned. "Come on, Fritz. Remember you still owe me."

Frederick went red and dragged his boyfriend out of the office before anyone could say anything. Gilbert's laughter rang in his ears as they left. At the car, Frederick turned to him. "Could you not have been less civil?"

"Vhat do you mean?"

"'Und did you vin?' Good grief, Gilbert, ve're supposed to his guardians. You're his big brother, vhat kind of caring is zat!"

"Fritzy, I only taught him to defend himself. Vhat vould have rather he do, get beaten by Alfred?"

"No, Gilbert. But some people vill see zat as wrong. You're lucky Sadiq didn't have ze police round."

"Don't be daft, Fritz."

"Gilbert, please. As one of Ludwig's guardians, I ask you not teach anyzing like zat to your brother...unless it's important. All right?"

Gilbert sighed. "All right, fine. I von't teach him anything else."

"Danke, Gilbert."

Gilbert purred as Frederick kissed him on the lips. "Good. Come on, big boy, you owe me. Now let's go home."

A/N:

Please, tell me you found this a little cute, especially with Frederick and Gilbert being protective over Ludwig. Now, can't you see why I have a headcanon of the two being Germany's parents? Anyway, I got this prompt from the ImagineYourOTP tumblr page. I figured it would be pretty typical of Prussia to ask 'did he win?' when fighting in school is kind of a serious matter and Frederick being slightly shocked of his lover's bluntness. Also, I have nothing what so ever of gays – as you can tell from writing so many yaoi fanfics, haha! But what I can't understand is why kids in schools or outside of school making fun of kids who have same sex parents and make fun of them, to be honest I find it really pathetic!

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this chapter, reviews are love :)
