Sorry for the huge delay in updating. I'm going to put a couple of chapters up in one go to hopefully make up for it a little :D Also this one is jsut really short...

All belongs to Richelle Mead. I hope you like these next few chapters and reveiw!

Dimitri left in due time to go to St. Vladimir's and search for Princess Vasilisa Dragomir who had for some reason gone missing along with her best friend Rose Hathaway.

"I'm calling at least once a month," he warned.

"I would say that too, but you know I won't," I replied.

Since graduating I'd called Inna and Stiva all of twice without being pestered to. It wasn't that I didn't want to keep in touch with my friends, just that I was rubbish at doing so. Facebook had made it a lot more easy to see what each other were doing in theory, but I never really looked at that all that much either.

"I'll make sure Inna and Stiva call you too."

"I will try to make the effort," I said.

"Here," he passed me a calendar. "I'm way ahead of you."

"You didn't…" I flicked through to November. In one of the squares he'd written 'ring people' in big Russian letters. "You did." I smiled. "Thanks."

"So what are you going to do?" he asked.

I ran a hand through my hair. "I don't know. I mean, I'll go back to guarding when I'm ready I just… I know I was there to guard the resort, that was my official position. But in my heart it was always Ivan." A tear fell free. It was the first time I'd said his name since it happened. I swiped it away. "Will you be alright?"

He forced a smile. "It's a school. How hard can it be?"

I managed a laugh. "How often did some of us break out in the middle of the day?"

He shrugged.

"And finding Vasilisa?" I asked.

"I've got some ideas," he said. "I'm sure I will manage. Don't worry about me."

I smiled. "I'm not. You can hold your own. Just… don't fall in love with any of the students."

He smiled too, properly this time, just a little. It was the first proper smile I'd seen in two weeks. "I won't I can assure you of that." He turned soft again. "Call me whenever you want to. Even if it's a bad time."

I nodded.

"I had better go. Will you be alright?"

"Eventually," I nodded and pulled him into a hug.

This was going to be the longest we'd been apart since we met. I'd pretty much lived with him since we met five years ago. This was going to take some getting used to as well. For now I was with Dad and I loved living with him.
