Hey guys, it's me. I want to begin by saying... *looks at notecards and throws them away* oh, what the hell. This doesn't have to complicated. Here's the deal; I'm going on vacation in a few days. I think I already addressed this in my last update, but I'm gonna be gone for a week, which means no updates. Unless I can bring my laptop, expect nothing from now until after July 29.
I know you were expecting a new chapter and that's coming, I promise. I have gotten a good bit of the next chapter done, so this story WILL be updated after I get back.
It's amazing how much this story has grown since I first published it and I am proud of it. Granted, my writing and grammar may be spotty in some places, but whatever.
This story means a lot to me, but all good things must come to an end. I only have a few more chapters planned and then this story will be put to rest.
BUT I DO HAVE SOME GOOD NEWS! Since I love you all so much, I'm going to include an little blurb from what I have come up with. This will play a major role in the sequel, which will DEFINITELY happen.
Gabe sat in his chair, twirling a butterfly knife around. He grunted and flung it into the wall, burying it up to the hilt. He stood and lumbered over to his refrigerator, pulling out a beer.
"You really should lay off that, you know." A voice said. Gabe spun around to see a woman standing in his kitchen. She looked to be in her mid-twenties. A manila folder rested in her hands.
"Who the hell are you?" Gabe asked. The woman raised her chin.
"I am Sofi. I want to make a deal with you,"
"And why should I trust you?" Gabe asked, skeptical.
"I never asked you to trust me, I just want to help you."
"I don't want or need your help. Goodbye." Sofi pulled a paper out of the folder and handed it to Gabe. He looked over it.
It was a complete profile on Percy. His age, name, height, where he lived, what grade he was in, people he knew, and much more. Gabe looked back at Sofi and raised an eyebrow.
"How'd you get all this?"
"I have a... rather specific skill set."
"So why did you come to me?"
"Why don't you sit down. I have much to explain." The two sat at Gabe's table and Sofi began talking.
She was twenty-five years old and wanted revenge. Her mother had been Arachne, an up-and-coming designer in Olympus Transportation. The day before Arachne was going to pitch her ideas to the Big Three, someone broke into their apartment and deleted everything Arachne had done. She had been so distraught, she hung herself, leaving Sofi alone. The act was ruled a murder, with Sofi convicted. The real killer, or who ever had done it, was never found.
Since then, Sofi had acquired contacts and skills to figure out who had done it. Her searching led to Luke Castellan, a twenty year old male living in Gabe's hometown. As Sofi learned more about Luke, she eventually found that he had been killed in a car accident. His companion was Percy Jackson, the illegitimate son of Sally Jackson and none other than Poseidon Olympiad. Sofi made more connections before finally figuring out the whole web.
Athena Chase had hired Luke to break into Arachne's apartment, delete her work, and leave her so distraught that suicide would be the only answer.
Sofi had planned revenge on Athena and Luke, but Luke was dead.
"I know what you did to Sally. You killed her because Percy was gone," Sofi deduced. Gabe nodded. "Well, then, Gabe Ugliano, I have a proposition. I want you to kill Percy Jackson and Athena Chase." Gabe smiled thinly and nodded.
AND we're good. Like I said, this is a bit of the story that I came up with, but I can't find a good place to fit it into the story, so you got this. Congrats. Once again, thanks for reading this whole story. I'll be back in a week. YEET! *backflips away* -RFA
