Felicity POV

That night I started on guard with Derrick and Adam close by, I may not need it, but it was good to have a reminder of what I had to fight in here for, if only this jungle wasn't so dense Adam and I could wipe the floor with our 'opponents' or at least the ones that needed to die.

I sighed as I sat straight thinking. It felt unlikely that even if they knew where we were they wouldn't be that suicidal to try to attack us here. Besides, despite how terrified I was, I remember seeing the incident with Gloss and the inevitable response. 'They'll stay back if they know what's good for them.' I thought. 'And if not we'll kill them.'

Derrick made a small sound as he shifted. I looked down at him with a small smile. He doesn't have the foggiest clue where we are. That was good though since I didn't want him scared. Right now he's just a little beam of light and it's good that way. He shifted and scooted closer to Adam. I almost wanted to pick him up but I had to be ready.

Adam began to wake up slowly. Just then though, twelve bongs seemed to come from nowhere. "Your turn," I said smiling as he rose

"Right, do you know what those were?"

"It's 12," I said.

"They weren't cannon's though, so what do they mean?"

"I'm not sure."

Off on the other side of the arena a lightning storm started but with no sign of rain. "Hmmm..." I hummed watching it.

"It's right where the tip of the Cornucopia was pointing perfectly between two to those spurs that were in the water."

"Yeah, so?" I asked.

"Seems too exact to be a coincidence and it happened right after those bongs."

"Well...you make a good point." I said.

"Go to sleep, I'll keep an eye out for anything else."

"Right got it."

I went I lied down next to Derrick and pulled him close to me as I drifted off.

Adam's POV

I kept an eye out where the lightning was waiting for it to stop. After a while it did. The second it did though rain started between the next pair but it was dark and smelled like blood. It must be blood.

"Now that is new blood rain." I muttered. "Definitely not a coincidence but what can it mean? There has to be something." I sighed thinking hard.

Okay, so at least those two were going clockwise and there were… twelve. Twelve sections… no way. I couldn't help but laugh. "A clock. The arena's a clock. That's clever." I said continuing to laugh. I wondered if I should wake her up to tell her or wait. If that's right we should have six hours until it reaches us.

It was a tough call, but given everything that had happened today I decided she needed sleep. It wouldn't be too destructive to just let her know when she wakes up.

I stroked her cheek as Derrick began to stir so I reach down to pick him up.

He gave a small yawn and then started to wake blinking rapidly.

I rocked him hoping he wouldn't start crying. He stared up at me for a second. "Derrick, do you understand me." He nodded smiling "That's my boy," I smiled holding him close.

He laughed and hugged me as well as he could.

He looked over to Feliss. "She needs sleep," I told him. He looked at me seeming to question if I needed it too. "I slept earlier. Someone needs to keep a look out."

He seemed more confused by that.

"There might be a surprise," I said as the least frightening way to put it. He smiled at me. "We should be fine though."

He nodded, but hugged me again.

"I love you, Derrick." He gave a gurgle as response. "You're just adorable."

He smiled pulling my hair slightly.

Hours later Feliss woke at this point Derrick had fallen back to sleep a while ago. "Good morning, Feliss."

"Good morning Derrick trouble you?"

"No, he can understand us no though and I figured the arena out. I have to say, it's quite clever."

"He's like Roslyn!?" she asked happily.

"Exactly."

"That's wonderful."

"Again, I figured out the arena though."

"Right, what about that?"

I explained the clock arena to her.

"Oh, that is...genius."

"Yes it is, I have to admit."

"I hate saying it too, but damn. How long do we have until it reaches our sector?" she asked me.

"About two hours."

"Plenty of time then." She said then we heard a blood curdling scream that would be common place in the arena but it sounded EXACTLY like Lydia.

"No there's no way," I said.

Feliss kept shaking her head though clearly panicking. "She's back home. It must just be a trick."

"Let's get out of here."

Feliss nodded, "Let's." She picked up Derrick and we set off.

We obviously headed head clockwise moving with the clock. "So do we hunt now?"

"Animals or humans?"

"Humans."

"I think so. Find Cashmere and 2."

"I agree we could end this today if we wanted."

"We should. We need to get Derrick out of here."

"Okay let's get to the Cornucopia first." I said.

"We can at least walk there, see if anything happens."

"Hopefully this time they'll just let us win instead of going through that again."

"Oh, I think they will...if they are smart."

"They better."

"Yeah, I'd hate to hurt anyone I don't need to."

She nodded and I'm glad we were able to get such a list. "I want Cashmere." She said.

"You can have her but I want Enobaria. Then you can get Brutus since I already got Gloss."

"That sounds fair."

"Free for all on the others again?"

"Yeah, but put on a good show so to speak."

"That was the point of not repeating last year's right?"

"Yeah, it really is."

"Show them what we can do on slightly less uneven ground."

"Yeah, draw out at least...two fights?" I asked after some thought.

"Not that you'd ever forgot him but we still have Derrick to protect."

"I know we take turns with it."

"Okay, should be perfect."

"Yeah, who goes first?"

"Can I kill first?" she asked.

"Sure, I already got one kill anyway."

"Just my thought."

"Good, then let's go."

"That means back to the Cornucopia?"

"Yeah, the show's more impressive with weapons."

"Plus, that's where they usually are."

"Yeah, that too."

"Unless they're smart enough to realize that they'd just be sitting around waiting for us to come kill them. Which is unlikely."

"Who knows miracles happen."

"Then we'll still find them."

"I know that's obvious."

"I don't really want to go back there though."

"You hate this place huh?" I asked.

"Just that part really."

"I know but what can we do?"

"Nothing."

Derrick started to wake up. He stayed quite staring up at me. "You can show mommy what you can do." I said. Derrick smiled and nodded.

"Aw, who's my cleaver little boy?" Feliss asked, smiling. Derrick just giggled and pointed to himself. "That's right you are. Oh, it's great to see you." Derrick reached out to her. She smiled and hugged him rocking him back and forth. "I love you, Derrick." He still couldn't talk, but he nodded using his little arms to hug her best he could. She of course hugged him back holding him close.

"I love you both so much," I said.

"We love you, too, Adam." Derrick reached out to me. I took him back since Feliss is to kill first anyways. He smiled widely and hugged me as well. "I think you're his favorite." Feliss chuckled.

"How so?"

"He interacted with you first and look how happy his Daddy makes him." Derrick nodded hold onto me. "See?" she asked.

"I guess he does. He does still love you though."

"I hope so."

"He does."

He nodded. Feliss smiled a bit. "I love you, too, Derrick." He gurgled smiling. "Too cute."

Soon we emerged from the forest onto a beach. Sure enough, there were Cashmere, Brutus, and Enobaria. "After you," I said.

"Awe, you guys waited for us, how thoughtful," Feliss said coming up behind Cashmere. They all spun around and stepped back in shock. "What?" Feliss smiled innocently.

"Run!" Cashmere said.

Shockingly enough they actually did but Feliss just rolled her eyes and went after them, though not quite as fast as in full health, she still seized Cashmere in milliseconds. "I am insulted that you expected that to work." Cashmere tried to scratch and claw at her arm. Feliss just grabs her wrist with her other arm bending it back. "I can literally break this off if I wanted to."

"I… please don't kill me."

"I don't really have any other options but I might be able to make it quick."

"Would you?"

"Maybe if you can convince me."

"Wha...what can I do?"

Felicity smirked I had to admit it was quite enjoyable to see the Careers as sniveling prey for once instead of just being the predators. "You could fight Enobaria."

"Fight her?"

"That is what I said."

"I...well...okay."

Since Enobaria had run off, Feliss ran off that way and came back with the fanged Career slung over her shoulder. "It's simple you two fight each other with everything you have all weapons allowed and the winner gets a quick death." She said tossing Enobaria to the ground.

"You're insane," Enobaria muttered, getting up.

"Thanks, but flattery will get you nowhere."

"Now go on, fight."

She smirked and appeared beside Derrick and I. "That is a good idea, Feliss."

"It gives them a show."

Cashmere rushed forward grabbing and hurling it at Enobaria who dodged lounging toward Cashmere, her fangs bared. Cashmere ducked and punched her in the stomach.

Enobaria fell back a step and swung at her with her knife and caught Cashmere across the chest. Cashmere clutched the spot quickly losing blood but still tried to lunge after Enobaria. Who dodged and slashed at her back. The slash connected digging deep and Cashmere screamed falling to the ground. Enobaria threw the knife aside and waited for her to get up.

Cashmere fought to her feet despite bleeding heavily from both sides. Enobaria pounced and sank her teeth into her neck. A cannon went off soon later. "Good work." Feliss said. "You can still kill her," Feliss told me taking Derrick. "Just make it quick as promised."

"Of course."

He headed over tapping her shoulder. "Ready to die?"

She sighed sadly. She nodded but whispered as just barely a breath that no normal person would have heard, "I'm sorry, Kawino."

"Who's Kawino?"

She gasped that I had asked. "He...He's someone very special to me. He's like a son to me… and he really needs one. Especially after his sister died in last year's games."

"She was in those?" I asked.

"Yes," she said and I do remember a boy in her family's section during the tour. There seemed to be more than a few things off about him beyond just losing his sister.

"Damn it...what's wrong with him?" I asked.

"He has… extremely abusive parents… to say the least."

"I...stay here for a second." I said. She seemed confused as I headed back to Feliss.

"We might have a problem."

"I heard," Feliss sighed sadly. "If what she says is true, we can't take her away from him."

"I know that." I sighed. "But we'll have to, just like with Katniss and Rue last year," I said purposefully having a different meaning to those watching that don't already know about that.

"I know that."

"So, I guess I'll go do that?" I asked, and she nodded of course knowing what I really meant.

"Carefully," she added.

I nodded and headed back over to Enobaria. "Come here I need to tell you something." I said carefully. Though still clearly confused, Enobaria wisely made her way over. I leaned in and whispered. "You get to live, but it's going to hurt a little. We did this last year with Katniss and Rue. It just needs to be done carefully," I whispered.

"Okay?" She asked cautiously.

So I knocked her out the same way we did last year. The cannon sounded soon after. "So, let's go chase down Brutus."

"Right, I want out of here."

"I know you do. He's still your kill, too." I reminded taking Derrick.

"Got it be back soon." I nodded and she blurred off.

Felicity POV

I rushed into the forest dodging branches as went. I headed where they ran off and caught him in almost no time. There were so many ways to do this but how was best? First of course I had to decide if I wanted to make it quick or have fun. I decided on fun just in case. I grabbed his shoulder yanking him back. "Hello again."

"You!"

"I have a name you know." He didn't respond still trying to escape. "Resistance is futile. You can't run, you can't hide, you can't fight. You can just die." I said and ripped his hand off. He screamed fairly louder than I had expected. "God, could you scream any louder?" I moaned tossing the hand away and rubbing my temple.

"YOU RIPPED MY HAND OFF!"

"So? The last person I did that to wasn't so loud about it."

"I'm not them."

"Clearly not, you're clearly a bigger wimp which is shocking considering how big of a wimp that guy was."

"Shut up if this were a fair fight I would kill you."

"Because one of you against a normal non-career is completely fair."

"Not our fault they don't train."

"It's not my fault you don't have powers," I said and ripped off his other hand preparing for the screams this time. "Ugh! You're too annoying!" I said. "Maybe I SHOULD just kill you now and get some quiet."

He just kept screaming. As bad as it sounds, my extra sensitive ears were starting to throb so I ripped his head off of course instantly shutting him up and getting a cannon. "Oh thank goodness it's gone." I sighed.

I blurred back to Adam and Derrick. "Well I have a headache now." I sighed finding Adam lying on the sand and letting Derrick lay on him.

"I'd bet from how loud I heard it over here."

"Yeah, he was a screamer." I said as Derrick grabbed at Adams nose.

"You ripped off his hand?"

"Yes, I did, both of them actually. Then I got tired of all the screaming and ripped his head off."

"Ouch."

"I guess it was a bit much."

"Only slightly." He shrugged as Derrick finally managed to grab his nose. They both smiled a little at that. "Good job, Derrick, you got my nose." He nodded giggling. Adam picked him up getting to his feet. "We need to find the others."

"Right, let's do this I'm sure Derrick wants to meet his sisters anyway." Derrick looked at me curiously. "Your sisters, they're your Daddy and I's other kids."

He smiled seeming excited. "You'll love them." Adam said. He giggled smiling widely.

"And they'll love you." I added stretching and preparing to go and find the others. I kept all my senses out for any sign of other tributes. "Okay so, I'll do a lap then you?" I asked.

"That sounds good to me." He nodded and handed me Derrick.

"We'll be quick I want to go home." I said. He nodded and blurred off. He was gone for a few minutes and in that time I heard four cannons

"Took your time," I said when he got back. "That leave seven?"

"Yeah and I left Johanna and Finnick for you." He said

"What about Beetee and Wiress?"

"Also all yours."

"Got it," I nodded and blurred off.

The first person I found was Finnick looking relaxed as he stretched out in the sand. "You ready, Ladies Boy?"

"Time already huh?"

"Yeah, we have to get our son out of here."

"Oh so you had the kid? Congratulations," he said, sitting up.

"Thank you, so, are you ready?"

"Yeah, I suppose so it's been an honor."

"I believe you would have won again if it wasn't for us."

"Maybe but we'll never know."

"No we won't," I said, and put him in the death-like state. I could practically hear woman in the Capital scream. I couldn't help but laugh a little at the thought as cannon went off.

I headed off for Beetee and Wiress next. I found them a bit deep in one of the sections. "Hey you guys." I said gently.

"Oh, hello," Beetee said, cautiously.

"As much as I'll regret it, it's time to die."

"Really?" Beetee sighed.

"Yeah, our son has been born and we need to get him out of here."

"I see well I can't blame you."

"We'll make it quick though. I'm sorry you know I don't want to do this to you." I said playing this up for the cameras.

"It's what has to be done though."

"Yes it is...are you ready?" I sighed.

"As we can be." I nodded and put them into the death like state as well.

Then Cecilia and the real killing. It occurred t me Adam might have gotten her already though. I guess I'll have to see.

I looped around and I found her. "Hello Cecelia." She jumped in surprise. "It's time for you to die."

"I...oh okay."

"I'll make it as quick and painless as I can."

"Well, I would like that." I put her in a death like state being the last one to.

I sighed; it was time to find Johanna. Though she wants it, this will be a hard kill. I really didn't want to kill her. Would it be right to spare her though?

She wanted to die after all and she didn't have any loved ones hoping for her return like everyone else we saved. "Yet I still felt bad..." In the end I decided it was her choice really and she made it clear she wants to die.

I sighed setting off to find her. I found her a while off. "Johanna." I said carefully

"It time for me to die?"

"Yeah, if you're sure about this."

"I am sure."

"Okay, last words?"

Just it's been a very...interesting life."

"Seems like it. Are you ready then?"

"Yeah, just make it fast, I'd like to see my family again...thank you for doing this I can't tell you what it means to me." She said and I saw a tear slip from her eyes.

I looked down and snapped her neck killing her instantly. The cannon went off. "Goodbye, Johanna." Heaving a deep sigh I went to Adam the rest was his.

"You're it," I said taking Derrick. "Get us home."

"Of course." He said and gave us both a quick kiss before blurring off.

Derrick noticed seconds later that he was gone and started crying. "Oh it's okay baby daddy will be back soon." I said. "Just give him a few minutes," I promised rocking him.

He calmed a little but still looked sad. "It'll be okay, Derrick." He gurgled seeming still a bit unhappy.

Then Adam returned though just as the trumpets sounded. Derrick looked confused but happy at the trumpets and smiled at Adam as Caesar said: "Ladies and Gentlemen allow me to introduce you to the victors of the 75the hunger games and the first ever back to back hunger games victors representing District 12 Felicity and Adam Daniels!"

I immediately threw the arm that wasn't holding Derrick around Adam. Derrick leaned between us as the ladder descended and we grabbed on smiling down at him.

As soon as we did, we were all frozen.

We were raised up and then suddenly we could move again as the doctors came over to check all three of us over. "Together," Adam said before they even had the chance to try otherwise.

"Of course." The doctor said focusing on Derrick first to make sure he was healthy.

"Congratulations, he's perfectly healthy, though he may need feeding soon and of course clothes," she said, kindly as Derrick smiled at us.

"That's very impressive for you both actually," the doctor said looking between us.

"Well we try," Adam said.

"And we should only need our trackers out."

"Yes, of course, show me where they put them this year."

We both turned over our arms. "Don't bother with anything to make it hurt less. They don't work anyways."

"Okay," She sighed seeming genuinely sorry as she set to work.

"We can handle the pain."

"I'm sorry you have to," she said, working gently as she could. Though with everything we've been through, I barely even noticed. "There we are." She said.

"Thank you."

"No trouble, I'll go get the baby a onesie and a new diaper."

"His name's Derrick and thank you."

"That's a wonderful name," she said, heading out.

It wasn't long before she returned. "I could only find a black white one." She sighed.

"Don't be sorry, that's great."

"Okay, good, we'll be back in no time."

"We'll be here."

She nodded and left.

"You excited, Derrick?"

He nodded as I changed him.

I got him out of that leaf diaper and into a real one they brought then into the onesie. He seemed if anything happier. I smiled wrapping him back in the blanket and holding him close. Soon we began to slow down again. I knew that meant we were about to land.

Sure enough soon we were descending. Derrick giggled while we did. "Did you enjoy the ride?" Adam asked. Derrick nodded smiling widely. "Well then, let's go home."

Derrick giggled clapping. I smiled down at him as we set out. "You can meet you sisters and auntie." He looked confused. "You'll love them." He gurgled and reached to Adam. "Okay, here's daddy," I said, handing him over.

He giggled and hugged Adam "You really are a daddy's boy."

"Is that bad?" Adam asked.

"No, it's good."

"It is?" Adam asked even though I could tell he was loving how much Derrick liked him.

"Yeah, you deserve it."

"Do I?"

"Of course you do, Adam."

"He loves his mother too though."

"I know that and Lydia and Roslyn love you."

"Even though you're their favorite," he finished, smiling.

"And you're his favorite."

"I guess that makes sense."

"Exactly."

"Alright, should we speed there or do you think Derricks not ready yet?"

"We can blur, just carefully."

"Okay, I can be careful."

"I know you can or I would have said no."

"Okay, then let's go." We both blurred off.

It took us no time at all to arrive at our front door. "Ready Derrick?" Adam asked. He nodded looking ecstatic having clearly loved the trip. "Okay," he said, as I opened the door and called out.

"We're home!"

Our whole family came rushing Lydia and Destiny obviously being there first. Lydia was holding a giggling Roslyn as she arrived. "Momma dada!" Roslyn called reaching out.

I took her in my arms as Lydia hugged us both and then noticed Derrick looking down at her from Adams arms. "He's so cute. Can I hold my brother?"

"Of course you can," Adam said.

He handed Derrick over to her. Derrick looked unsure of Lydia at first. "Derrick, this is your big sister Lydia," I told him.

He turned his head to the side before smiling at her. He reached up towards her face now wearing his cute little baby grin. "Hi there cutie." She cooed hugging him. He giggled hugging her back as best as he could.

That was when Isabella and Yizziki came downstairs. They came over and hugged us as well. "Oh my gosh, another baby." Isabella said.

"Oh yeah, such a surprise!" I said jokingly.

"No it's not, but he's so cute."

"Yes, he really is."

Roslyn spoke up from my arms. "Ba...ba ba!" She said reaching for Derrick.

I moved her closure to Derrick so she could reach him. She poked his nose first and he giggled returning the favor. I smiled widely at that. "Now THAT is the cutest thing."

"Baba?" She asked looking at me.

"That's right." She smiled and tried to hug him. "Anyone know an easier way to do this?"

"We could set them both down."

We sat them down on the ground and Roslyn crawled over hugging him. "Baba." She said as he giggled hugging her back.

"She really loves her brother."

"Of course she does." Adam said.

"The obviousness doesn't make it any less sweet."

"I know that."

"Or adorable."

"That too, but they're our kids."

"Exactly, so of course they are."

Roslyn let go of Derrick and crawled back over to me. I bent down to her. "I really missed you, Roslyn."

"Mama," she said. I picked her back up hugging her.

"So did we miss anything?" Adam asked, picking up Derrick.

"Not really."

"Good, happy to know."

"Yeah, and it's great to have you two back."

"We missed all of you too."

"I'd imagine so but we're back now."

"What's the baby's name?"

"Derrick."

"Derrick, Roslyn, and Lydia."

"Exactly."

"Well, they are all amazing."

"Derrick's smart like Roslyn."

"Is he really?" Derrick nodded. "That's great."

"Yes it is. Of course they're smart though."

"It's a good thing."

"Yes it is."

"It makes them cuter somehow."

"The only thing that could."

"Yeah, that's true."

"But yes, it really does."

Derrick smiled and then reached for Isabella. Adam handed him to her. "This is your auntie Isabella." He smiled hugging her too.

"Aw, I love you, too, Derrick."

"He's a cuddler," Adam said.

"I can see that."

"He gets it from his mother," Adam said, smirking.

"Only you and our kids."

"You're still a cuddler, too," He said.

"Okay, fair enough."

"Not that it's bad."

"No, it's not as long as I don't just cuddle random people."

"Yeah then we have a problem...and a dead person."

"Yeah, that we would."

"No one cuddles my wife," Adam said.

"Of course not. Except you."

"That's a given." I smirked and hugged him. "I really love you, Feliss."

"I love you too Adam. How long do you think we have until we have to destroy Panem?" I asked him.

"I'm not sure at least a few weeks before they need us."

"Hopefully you're right."

"I think I am."

"A good number are already revolting. 3, 4, and 8 for certain."

"Yeah, can't see why they wouldn't."

"We need to get to 2."

"And get them to revolt?"

"What? No, we need to look into this Kawino boy and, if what she said is true, save him."

"Of course."

"Soon."

"Okay, how?"

"That's what we need to figure out."

"Well we could go see the President."

"Right, likely our best bet."

"I'm not thrilled either."

"As long as it works, I guess."

"Now then?"

"Yes, we need this done as soon as possible."

"Alright, but the kids stay here."

"Of course, just us."

"We'll be right back okay?" I asked the babies. Roslyn looked at me sad. "Don't worry we won't be gone near as long." I said gently stroking her cheek

She still looked sad but nodded hugging me. "Mama, Dada." She grumbled.

"I know but you have to stay here."

She huffed in response to that, "Baba?" She asked.

"Derrick's going to stay too." She seemed a bit happier at that, so I added, "Will you help watch him?" Roslyn nodded. "Will you take care of him too?" I asked. She nodded again and I trusted she would do what she could. "Okay, I trust you Roslyn." I said.

"Are you okay with that, Isabella?" I asked.

"Of course, Roslyn will be a great help," she said.

"Just go do what you need to."

"We'll be right back," Adam said, hugging each of the kids before we left.
