Chapter 24

**Disclaimer: do I have to say it again? It bums me out. :(**

It was the night before the wedding and Draco and Hermione hadn't seen each other all day. Hermione wanted to keep the tradition of them not seeing each other until she was walking down the aisle. The guys had dragged Draco out of the manor and to the streets of London. They took him to a bar to celebrate his last night of being single.

"Come on, Drake. Drink up! Its the last night of you being a single man!" Theo yelled.

"Whatever man! Alright then, bring it on!"

The guys cheered as the bartender poured more shots of Jack, Jim and Crown. Draco could get used to the Muggle whiskey.

"To Draco. May marriage treat you well and bring lots of hot sex!" A very drunk Blaise toasted.

"Hey! I don't want to think of him having sex with my sister!" Harry laughed.

The night went on with them all getting plastered. They managed to safely make it back to the manor and pass out where they fell.

At Jasmine and Harry's, the girls were laughing at stories from each of them about their men.

"So, Hermione, tell us one thing Draco does that no one would ever think he would." Ginny said as she poured them another glass of ginger ale.

"Well, he likes to work in the garden. He prunes the roses, and even yelled at me to watch his 'babies' when I almost stepped on his Hydrangias."

They all started laughing. "Blaise sleep walks. I caught him talking to the wall about not making him go to class. He even bakes. Not something I would have thought he would or even could do."

They continued talking until midnight then said their good nights. Hermione laid in bed, emotions running high. She was anxious, nervous and happy. She finally drifted off to sleep with a smile.

Draco woke the morning of his wedding feeling like he was thrown under a bus. He slowly sat up from the couch and saw his friends sprawled out on chairs and the floor. He looked up when he heared the fireplace roar to life.

"Hello, Draco. I was sent over to make sure you boys weren't hungover." Mr. Wealsey said as he stepped into the room.

"Hello, Arthur. I do believe we are." Draco chuckled.

Arthur smiled and chuckled. "May want to cover your ears."

Draco done as he was told as Arthur made a loud booming noise to wake the others.

"What the bloody hell? Really? Come on now." The other three yelled as the sprang to life.

"Sorry guys. I had to do something. Time to get you all sobered up and ready for the wedding."

They grumbled and sat up. Arthur handed each of them a vial of hangover potion and had breakfast be prepared.

"I'm never drinking again. Especially that Muggle stuff." Theo said as he rubbed his head.

"Yes you will. You always say that and you keep doing it." Blaise replied.

"Youre right." Theo laughed.

"I need food. Come on." Harry said as he walked to the dining room.

The four of them quickly piled their plates ad began eating. Draco smiled as he read the article of his wedding on the front page. He couldn't be any happier with marrying Hermione. After everyone ate, they separated to shower and dress. Draco couldn't help how Hermione was doing at that moment.

Hermione was woke up by someone jumping on her bed. "Wakie, wakie Aunt Mione! You get married today! Time to get pretty!"

Hermione opened her eyes to see Amelia. "Is it time already?" Amelia nodded. "Alright, let's go small stuff."

"The bride is awake!" Daphne yelled.

Hermione smiled as she sat down to eat. She smiled more as she seen the article on the first page of the paper of the wedding. After eating, she quickly showered and dressed in Draco's button down shirt and yoga pants.

"Ah, ze beautiful bride is here! 'Ow are you, love?" Claude asked as he kissed Hermione's cheek.

"I'm wonderful. So, where will you have me first?"

"I will set you 'air zen I will send you to Melani for ze nails." Claude motioned for her to sit in his section.

Jasmine transformed the living room into a beauty salon for them all to get ready. Amelia sat getting her nails done, curlers sitting in her hair. Ginny and Daphne hadn't returned showers yet. Jasmine was having her make up done.

"So, 'ave you decided on a piece for you 'air?" Claude asked as he sectioned off her hair.

"I have. It's in the box."

Claude opened it. "Oh, how beautiful! I 'ave just the style. You will look and feel like ze princess you are my dear.'

Claude took half an hour setting her hair in noodle curlers and let them set for an hour. Hermione was having her nails done. She chose a simple white tip french mani, the other girls having their tips match their dresses.

"Melani, can you add some purple designs?

"I can. Are you nervous?"

"Not so much. I will be once I get to the church."

"I was on my wedding day. What church are you marrying in?" Melani asked as she began on the designs.

"The one my parents wed in. It seemed right to have it there. Draco couldn't agree more."

"You are very lucky, Hermione. Cherish each moment."

"I will. After all, we both saved each other from death. What a better way to cherish each other?"

Melani finished Hermione's nails and she went back to Claude who just finished on Daphne. He took her hair out of the curlers and began to magic. She kept her eyes closed as he worked.

"All done. What do you zink?" Claude asked as he turned her around.

Hermione gasped. Claude had done her hair in a semi-side style, curls draping underneath a beautiful french braid. He put a bump in front where her veil would attach. He placed her flower and jewel barret on the side with the curls.

"It's perfect, Claude!" She squealed.

"Wonderful! Now, I must get to Jasmine. There is lunch prepared. 'Ave some before your make up is done."

Hermione walked to the kitchen where Daphne and Amelia were eating. They awed over her hair and how perfect it would look with her dress.

Hermione had a quick sandwich and had her make up done. Laura done a smokey eye with purple and green eye shadow and glitter, brown eye liner and full red lips. Hermione couldn't wait to get to the church.

"Okay ladies. Time to go!" Jasmine called out.

Claude and his assistants said goodbye and headed to the church. Hermione, Daphne, Ginny, Jasmine and Amelia climbed into the waiting limo and went to the church. Hermione's nerves began to settle as she seen the other limo already there. They walked into the back of the church to get dressed.

Hermione helped Amelia into her dress while Jasmine zipped Ginny, who zipped Daphne who, in turn, zipped Jasmine.

"Alright, time for the bride to dress." Ginny squealed, clapping he hands.

Hermione smiled. She unbuttoned her shirt and slipped of her pants. As she was getting ready to slip into her dress, Molly walked in.

"Oh, Hermione. I came to see if I could do the honor of zipping your dress? After all, you are another daughter to me." She had tears trying to escape.

"Of course. You are my mother." Hermione couldn't help but have tears escape wishing her parents could be here.

Molly helped with putting the dress on her and zipped her up. "You are beautiful. Your mother would be proud of the woman you have become. I love you." Molly whispered in Hermione's ear.

"I love you, too. Thank you. Amelia, would you like to help put my veil on?"

Amelia nodded. She went to get the veil and Daphne held her up. After the veil was in, she turned around.

"Perfect. Absoutely beautiful." Arthur said as he walked in.

"Thank you. Okay, last minute checks. Girls, fowers?"

They each nodded. "Your something old?" Daphne asked.

"My grandmothers necklace."

"Something new?" Jasmine asked.

"My bracelet."

"Something borrowed?" Ginny asked.

"My earrings from you."

"Something blue!" Amelia asked.

"My pretty head bow from you sweetness."

"What about something from your parents?" Molly asked.

"Their wedding rings. Tied into my flowers."

"I think you are ready." Molly smiled.

"Everyone is in place. It's time to begin." Arthur clapped his hands together.

The girls left to meet up with their men, Arthur stayed behind.

"Hermione, I am so happy you asked me to walk you. I know I can never take the place of your father, but I want you to know I love you like a daughter. Molly and I will always be there for you."

Hermione smiled. "Thank you. I wouldn't have anyone else do this. I know you wouldn't take his place, but you and Molly have always treated me with love. I love you both." She gave him a tight hug before they walked into the enrance hall.

She took a deep breath a the double doors opened.

Draco was waiting at the church until time to begin. His nerves were getting to him. He couldn't wait to see his Hermione.

"It's time to begin. I'm heading to retrieve the girls." Arthur said as he poked is head in the room.

Harry, Blaise and Theo walked out. Draco stayed behind. He could feel Arthur wanted to talk to him.

"Draco, I wanted to tell you how much Hermione means to Molly and I. She is like a daughter to us. We were devistated when we found out about her parents. Since then, we have strived to make her feel that love only a parent can give. I just want you to take care of her and love her. She has been through to much to be hurt again."

Draco nodded. "I promise Arthur, I will do all I can to make her happy. Thank you for being there for her."

"My pleasure. Now, get on out there. I'll be bringing her down to you shortly." With that, he left.

Draco walked out to head into the chapel. He walked by the guys and up the aisle. He smiled seeing the sprays of purple lillies and roses with brown and green ribbons. He walked up to stand beside Kingsley, who would be performing the ceremony. He was becoming anxious until he heard the music start.

A lovely piano song began playing. It was his favorite by Bach. He smiled as he watched their friends walk in. Daphne and Theo made it first, followed by Harry and Jasmine then Ginny and Blaise. As soon as they made it to the front, Amelia came in looking lovely. His heart skipped a beat as he looked to see Hermione walking in on Arthur's arm.

She wore a beautiful white dress. The sleeves were a intricate designed sheer lace that made a v shape at her ring finger, sat off of her shoulders, with a pearl jewled bodice, long flowing silk with jewels at the bottom. Her veil covered her face, but he could see the smile on her lips and she looked at him. It seemed to take forever for them to make it to the front. He stepped down to take her hand.

"Who gives this woman today?" Kingsley asked.

"Her parents, Molly and I do." Arthur spoke. He placed her hand in mine then lifting the veil slightly to place a kiss on her cheek.

I walked her up in front of Kingsley. I mouthed to her how beautiful she was and that I love her.

"We are gathered here today to join Hermione Jean Granger and Draco Abraxis Malfoy in marriage. Marrige should never be taken lightly. It is a forever binding of two souls that shall go on even into death. Do you both agree to this marriage?"

"We do." We said in unison.

"The couple have their own vows. Draco, would you care to go first?"

I nodded. "My dear Hermione. I stand here today in front of everyone only because of you. Who would have known it would of been you to take me in, heal me when I first went in due to my disease. I hated you in school. You outsmarted me in everything. If someone would have told me I would be marrying you, I would have cursed them. Now I see what a wonderful, intelligent and warm hearted person you are. Merlin must have looked down on me when he sent you my way. I could never picture my life without you now. You are my world, my heart, my soul. I promise to love you unconditionally until I take my last breath. I love you." I wiped the tears streaming down my face.

"Hermione?" Kingsley spoke.

"My love, Draco. When you came into my life that day at the hospital I thought someone was trying to torture me. I came to realize you were just someone who needed to be cared for and loved. I fell in love with you each day I cared for you when you were sick. My life has changed for the better. In turn, you saved me, and I couldn't of asked for a better man to be with me, love me and take care of me for eternity. I promise to love you with everything that I am until I in return take my last breath. I love you, now and for always."

There wasnt a dry eye in the church. I smiled as Kingsley went on.

"The rings please?"

Ginny and Blaise handed each of us our rings.

"Draco, place the ring on Hermione's left ring finger and repeat after me. I, Draco Abraxis Malfoy take you, Hermione Jean Granger, to be my wedded wife."

"I, Draco Abraxis Malfoy, take you, Hermione Jean Granger, to be my wedded wife."

"To love, honor, cherish, in sickness and in health, riches or poor, happy times and bad, all the days of my life, til death do us part."

"To love, honor, cherish, in sickness and health, riches or poor, happy times and bad, all the days of my life, until death do us part." I slid the ring on her finger.

"Hermione, place the ring on Draco's left ring finger and repeat after me."

I listened as Hermione repeated to me. I smiled so much it hurt. I was brought back as Kingsley finished.

"With the power invested in me, as the Minister of Magic, I now pronounce you, man and wife. You may now kiss your bride!"

I lifted her veil and pressed my lips to hers. She put her arms around me and pulled me to her.

"I love you, Hermione."

"I love you, Draco."

Draco and I said our vows. His making me cry, smearing my make up. Thankfully Claude was here to fix it. Kingsley announced us as man and wife and Draco lifted my veil. He pressed his lips to mine. I pulled him closer to me and deepened the kiss.

"I love you, Hermione."

"I love you, Draco."

He took my hand and we walked down the aisle together. Everyone clapping and cheering for us.

We walked out and into a room before going to the reception. As soon as the door was closed, I captured Draco is a passionte kiss.

"How does it feel to be a married man?" I askes when I come up for air.

"If it means I get to love you, I love it." He said kissing me again.

"Forever. You and me." I whispered.

We stayed alone for another ten minutes before heading to the reception hall. We stood at the doors, waiting to be introduced.

"Ladies and gentlemen." Harry said to the guests. "It is my pleasure to introduce to you, Mr. and Mrs. Draco Malfoy!"

The hall errupted in applause as we walked in. We made our way to the dance floor as our song began playing.

When the visions around you Bring tears to your eyes And all that surround you Are secrets and lies I'll be your strength I'll give you hope Keeping your faith when its gone The one you should call Was standing here all along

And I will take You in my arms And hold you right where you belong Till the day my life is through This I promise you This I promise you

I've loved you forever In lifetimes before And I promise you never Will you hurt anymore I give you my word I give you my heart This is a battle we've won And with this vow Forever has now begun

Just close your eyes Each loving day I know that this feeling won't go away Till the day my life is through This I promise you This I promise you

Over and over I fall When I hear you call Without you in my life baby I just wouldn't be living at all

And I will take You in my arms And hold you right where you belong Till the day my life is through This I promise you baby

Just close your eyes Each loving day I know this feeling won't go away Every word I say is true This I promise you Every wors I say is true This I promise you Oh, I promise you

Draco and I sang to each other during the entire song. When it was over we smiled. It was finally real. I was his forever, and he was mine.

We danced a few more times with different people. We were happy to have a break when it was time to eat. We sat at a table in front with our wedding party on each side of us. We all happily ate a three course meal special from Italy.

"Can I have your attention please?" Ginny askes standing, tapping her glass. 'Thank you. As the Matron of Honor, it is my duty to make a speech, so here it is. I've known Hermione for a very long time. She is my sister in every way but blood. When she told me of being Draco's Healer, all I could think about was if the disease didn't kill him, she was. They never got along. As time went by, I noticed how the two were together. I saw in her eyes that she was beginning to fall in love with him, and him falling for her. When we thought Hermione was going to shut out the world again, he brought her out. Draco, you have been the best thing to happen to our Hermione. Treat her with the love and respect she deserves. If you don't, I promise when this baby is born, I will come after you. To my best friend and sister, I love you and may you both have all the happiness and love life brings."

I hugged my best friend, with tears in my eyes. Next Blaise stood up to make his speech.

"Draco and I have been friends since birth. I know him better than anyone. When he become sick, I was sad for him. Then Hermione came in the picture. She done everything possible to push him, but in the end it was for the best. She cured him. Not only from the disease, but from being alone. She changed him. I couldn't ask for a better person to have by his side. They are so different, but know each other perfectly. I hope you both live long and happy." He raised his glass. "To Draco and Hermione."

"To Draco and Hermione." Everyone repeated.

The reception continued with us cutting the cake, the garter toss and bouquet toss. We talked and laughed with everyone before we headed to the manor to change for our honeymoon.

"Do you have it?" Daphne asked as I finished changing.

I tapped my make up bag. "Right here. Thank you again for helping me." I hugged her.

"Your welcome. You ready?"

I nodded. We walked downstairs and I met Draco at the door. "Here we go, Mrs. Malfoy."

"Lets go, Mr. Malfoy."

We walked out to everyone shooting colorful sparks out of their wands over our heads. We waved goodbye as the limo pulled away.
