Kind of short one. Sorry. :(

He didn't know why he didn't let go of her hand. Loki supposed it was probably a bad idea. Luna could have taken it in a sexual way and been freaked out. He was lucky she didn't react that way, instead thinking it as just another act of friendship.

It wasn't like they were holding hands. Hers was just lightly resting on his. For a while he lay there, thumb stroking the top of her hand.

Luna hadn't seemed to mind, and Loki was also glad for that. He once again had no idea why why did this, only that he had wanted to.

He felt Luna relax more and more, and after a while figured she was was asleep. He didn't look at her, instead closing his eyes and sighing.

Loki had answered her question honestly. He didn't really believe in love. He figured family was different; it was kind hard not to love some one who raised and loved you. He loved Frigga, and even though he detested and hated Odin, Loki supposed he had affection for him to some degree as well.

But love? Like, love love?

Of course not.

It's just a common fact. Marriages fail, couples becoming bored after time. Friendships fall apart when people fight or grow apart. Relationships fall apart when they meet new people and fall in "love" all over again, leaving their partner.

He supposed, a a human, Loki wanted to believe in love, but he had yet to see proof.

He paused in his thoughts for a moment, thinking of Frigga and Odin.

After all these years, although Odin was often away and hard with his feelings, when they looked into each others eyes there was a sparkle there that bewildered Loki.

Of all the people to debunk his view on love, Loki would never have thought it would be Frigga and Odin.

In truth, he felt his mother was too good for Odin.

Loki was drawn out of his musings when Ludacris started to play.

"What the...?" He turned his head, eye's zoning in on Luna's open purse. There was a light coming from it and he let go of her hand to lean over and shuffle through her purse.

Loki grabbed her phone, turning on his shoulder. He reached out, resting his hand on her hip and shaking. She groaned once, brows pulling together before she turned her face into the sheets.

Her phone stopped ringing, the call missed. About five seconds later it began to ring again.

Loki glanced down, seeing Tony's picture on her screen.

"Luna?" He nudged her again. "Luna." Loki said more gruffly. She turned her face slightly, opening an eye and staring at him.

Loki said nothing, holding her phone which still had the annoying lyrics of Ludacris' "Get back" playing.

Luna's eye zoned in on it and she groaned. She rolled over and snatched it from his hand in one swift move.

"Hello?" Luna closed her eyes and rubbed the area above her eyebrows with her thumb and forefinger. Loki stared at her silently, leaning up to sit cross legged on the bed. "I was sleeping." She paused again. "First off, I'm fine. Second, since when have you decided to become my babysitter little brother? What's with-" Luna paused again and Loki cocked his head to the side. "Doesn't matter still counts." Luna remarked, a smirk on her lips. "What's with the twenty questions? What's wrong?" More silence as Luna took her hand away from her head, staring at the ceiling. "I'll be home soon. Bye."

Luna took her phone away from her ear, clicking it and staring at the screen for half a second before throwing it on the other side of the bed.

"What was that about?" Loki asked casually.

"Dunno. Tony just started off by asking a million questions." Luna yawned, sitting up as well. "He just started asking me if I was okay, where I was, did I know where I was, was I hurt in any way. " She shook her head slightly, reaching up to fix her pony tail. "Then when I asked him what was the matter all he said was 'Okay, well I'll just see you at home. Don't be too long. '." Luna rolled her eyes, letting her arms fall limply in her lap.

"That was probably my fault." She raised a brow. "I sort of promised him I'd drive you straight home last night. Instead I took you here because I realized I had no way home if I dropped you off."

"You could had slept in one of our extra rooms." Luna remarked, shrugging.

"It doesn't matter anymore in the end."

"I suppose." She yawned again. "How long was I asleep?"

Loki shrugged. "Only about fifteen minutes."

Luna nodded softly a few times, pursing her lips. She reached up and rubbed her palm across her cheek. Loki once again noticed the ripped flesh on her knuckle and frowned.

"I suppose," Luna yawned again. "I should leave soon." She picked up the top of the sweats in her fingers. "I'll return these to you, okay?"

"You better. I happen to love that shirt."

Luna laughed to herself, looking down at David Bowie. "Figured you'd be more into things like Mozart or like Sinatra or some shit." She said with a smile.

Loki felt his lips tilt up on one side, his brow going up. "Or maybe rap like you?"

Luna pointed her finger at him in warning and grinned. "Hey now, that song it a classic."

"If you say so." Loki shook his head slowly, chuckling at her.

Luna scooted to the edge of the bed then, groaning. Loki moved back to accommodate her. She reached over and grabbed her boots, pulling them on and stuffing the bottom of his sweats into them. It looked a little odd, the ends poofing a little. She leaned over, snatching her purse and shuffling through it till she found her pair of aviators and all but shoved them on her face.

Loki watched as she stood, grabbing her purse and stuffing her pants and Remy's shirt inside. Luna turned toward him and rubbed her cheek.

"Whatdaya think? How do I look?"

Loki did not hesitate with his answer, a grin on his lips. "What do you think? You look like shit."

Luna laughed loudly, throwing her head back and her chest heaving with her laughter. Loki kept his eyes on her neck and not on her breasts. "Thanks asshole."

"Anytime."

"Walk me out to my car?"

Loki inclined his head slightly, sliding off the bed. The two teens walked to the door, Luna opening it. Loki watched as she winced ever so slightly at the light.

"You sure you can drive?" He asked, a little worried. He'd feel horrible and broken if something happened to her driving home.

"I'm fine. Really, I expected hang overs to be a lot worse actually." Luna remarked, grinning over her shoulder at him.

Loki said nothing, face blank as they walked down the stairs together.

He took the lead, taking her to the garage. Loki opened the door for her and watched as Luna slid into the front seat.

She sat there for a second, leaning her head down on the top of her door while Loki clicked the button on the wall to open the garage door.

As it opened, Loki walked over to the side of her car. He stuck his hands in his pockets casually, leaning back on the balls of his feet for a second. He kept his face relatively blank except the slight frown to his lips.

Luna spoke first, after the door was all the way up. "Thank you taking care of me last night. I'm sorry for that by the way."

"Don't worry about it."

"No, seriously." Luna smiled, reaching her arm out over the door. She reached out toward him, hand open. Loki felt his brows pull together, confused. After a second, he gave her his hand. Luna smiled, taking his hand and shaking it like they were business associates. "Thank you Loki." She let her hand drop, her fingers brushing down his palm and grazing his finger tips.

Loki slowly stuffed his hand back in his pocket, not knowing what to make of that.

Luna sat up then, leaning back in her seat and starting her car.

"I'll see you later, okay?"

Loki, face still relativity blank, cocked his head slightly to the left. "Sure. Just text me."

Luna smiled and Loki could barely see the out line of her eyes behind her glasses as she looked him up and down. He frowned more, curling his toes.

He probably looked a bigger mess then her. He too had barely woken up before her. He was wearing a loose, v- neck tee shirt and long shorts that stopped right below his knees. Loki didn't even put socks on. He didn't even want to know what his hair looked like after lying in bed wit her.

Come to think of it, this was probably the most messy she'd ever seen him before. He also rarely ever wore shorts, preferring slightly loose jeans.

Luna just smiled once more, putting her car in reverse. "Nice legs Romeo."

With that, she backed out of his garage. Loki watched her drive away, frowning slightly.

What a strange woman, but he supposed he liked even that about her. Sighing, his frown fading a bit, Loki turned and walked back into his house. He lazily clicked the garage button, hearing it begin to shut behind him.

Loki made his way to the stairs before a voice stopped him.

"Was that Luna leaving? I heard the garage."

Loki hesitated, looking towards the left hallway where Thor and Jane stood. Darcy stood some what behind them, eating Loki's baked unsalted potato chips he'd bought. Loki lazily looked at Darcy, frowning deeply before focusing on Thor and Jane.

"Yes." He said simply, moving to go up the stairs again.

"She spent the night?" Jane asked, bewildered.

"Obviously." Loki did not stop walking up as he talked.

They said nothing else on the subject, which Loki was glad for. Although Darcy did yell something to his back.

"These suck by the way." She yelled, her voice grumpy. Loki said nothing, feeling his fingers clench slightly.

Loki walked up to his room, falling face down on his bed. He lay there for less then a second before groaning and standing again. He drew his curtains, grabbing the remote for his TV from his desk. Loki lay back down on his bed, switching on his TV.

Loki usually didn't really watch a lot of TV, but right now it seemed appropriate. He stuffed his pillow under his chin, lying on his stomach and holding his arms in front of him.

After a couple minutes, Loki leaned up on his elbows and awkwardly pulled his shirt off. He tossed it over by his closet, not caring where it landed.

As Loki lay back down, there was a soft knock at his door.

He didn't say anything or look that way as his door opened and shut softly. Loki kept his eyes on his TV as he felt the bed shift under him.

"You know," Frigga started with, setting her hand on Loki's head and smoothing his hair down. "I'm surprised you didn't wake me and Odin up taking Luna here last night."

"She slept in the guest bedroom."

"Oh I know."

Loki glanced at her over his shoulder, narrowing his eyes slightly. Frigga smiled. "I saw you go in there this morning."

Loki frowned, looking not back at his TV but at his pillow. "Then why are you up here?"

"Simply because I wanted to ask why she was here in the first place. Also, Thor asked me to." Loki snorted and his mother pulled his hair gently. "He means well."

Loki fiddled with a thread on his pillow for a moment before deciding he'd just be truthful. "She got drunk. I couldn't just leave her like that so I took her here." Loki shrugged nonchalantly.

He heard his mother click her tongue once. She hesitated a second before speaking again. "You didn-"

"No. I didn't have anything myself." Loki cut her off. He looked over at her again, sitting up slowly. "I only went with her because she asked me to." He paused a second, feeling the need to defend Luna. "She was talked into it by some guy. Luna doesn't drink."

Frigga's brows shot up, her lips curling in a smile. "A boy huh?"

Loki frowned deeply. "Stop." He turned, lying back down and staring at the TV. Of course she'd ignored everything he'd just said and focus on that.

"Are you jealous?" She asked calmly and casually, like she was asking him how school was or commenting on the weather.

"No."

Frigga chuckled and Loki gripped the remote hard. "My son, she's a good girl." Frigga patted his head once, bending down and kissing the top of his head. Loki didn't react in anyway. "She'll see; you're a good boy too." Frigga stood slowly, patting his shoulder once before walking away. "Don't stare at that thing too long with the lights off. It's bad for your eyes."

Loki frowned, narrowing his eyes. He didn't look at his mother as she left the room.

He stared at the TV for a few more minutes, not really even paying attention to what he was watching.

Loki was frustrated, even though he wasn't exactly sure why. Was it Thor, who annoyed him? His mother for asking about Luna? His own feelings for Luna, and how it seemed everyone but Luna noticed.

Loki growled, throwing his face into his pillow.

Sometimes he really hated life.
