Hey, back with another chapter. This goes in to a bit of what Naruto was doing during his two year stay with the UMvC3 group, and what happens to him during his stay. Without further ado, let's get the show on the road.
Story Start.
Lucifer smirked as his eyes lingered over everyone in the room as they were tense.
"Quite the menagerie of little peons you have here Olga." The ruler of hell said as he glanced to her, Olga was confused as to how exactly Lucifer managed to escape his imprisonment.
"How exactly did you get out of your cage?" she asked as Yasha and Asura also wanted to know. Lucifer chuckled before pointing to a small mark etched onto his right pectoral. Ogla examined it and noticed it was a demonic sigil with angelic runes around it. She put the pieces together and spoke up.
"Let me guess, you made a deal with him?" Olga said as she smirked and folded her arms under her bust.
"On the contrary, my dear. I simply showed him was really going on behind the scenes and gave him a list of targets, the rest was his own doing, in return he carved this mark into me as a way of saying thanks." Lucifer replied as he folded his arms.
"Who are you?" Simon asked. Lucifer just chuckled and replied.
"I'm surprised you don't recognize me, Belmont. Your Brotherhood group of maggots go about claiming that I am the center and origin of all evil. I go by many names and titles; The Fallen One, The Great Deceiver, The Serpent, The Prince of Lies, The Morning Star, The Prince of Darkness, Enemy of Man to name a few, but you can call me Lucifer." The being said as he clapped his hands and the room lit up as scenes of Hell were shown as souls in torment begged for mercy, cried out for their god and more as their suffering went on. The scenes ended as Lucifer lazily caught a flask of holy water and glanced at the person who threw it.
"Foul being, your presence is not welcome here! Go back to the dark pit you crawled out of and never return!" Sigui said as she glared at Lucifer as he just chuckled before taking the top of the flask and drink the water as people heard the sound of flesh sizzling. Lucifer finished and crushed the empty container.
"Oh please, did you really think that a little special water could harm me. I could easily turn you to a bloody smear on the spot if I wanted to, but I have no reason to, I also don't feel like having my heart ripped out and crushed if I do kill you." Lucifer said as he wiped his hands and turned to Menma.
"You're curious about where your brother ended up after his business with Zeus ended?" the devil asked as Menma nodded.
"Yes, and I also want to know if my brother is the person who freed you from your domain." Menma asked as his hands rested on Yamato. Lucifer just gave a vicious grin as he took control of the room-vision technique.
"Well for starters, I originally planned to take over your brother, which would result in his demise when I finished my goals." Lucifer said as he showed an example scene of him turning into black ooze as he took over Naruto and eventually Naruto's form convulsed and shuddered as he exploded like a water balloon as Lucifer stood there. The scene faded as Lucifer raised his hand and caught a summoned sword as it was millimeters away from piercing his head.
"Impressive, you show the same care that your brother has for your well-being, however you lack the power he has by now. However I can feel your full powers starting to emerge, seems like he's training you." Lucifer said as he shattered the spectral blade.
"What do you mean?" Menma asked with narrowed eyes.
"It would be easier if I showed you, how about I show you what happened to your dear brother when he landed in my domain." Lucifer said as he took control of the room and a new scene played out as it showed Naruto falling into hell.
"Oh Shit!" Naruto cursed as he maneuvered his body as he avoided things like other people and chunks of brimstone. He landed on in a crouched position with a crater forming around him.
"Now where am I?" the Nephilim asked as he looked around. Everywhere he looked was brimstone and falling bodies on fire, in the distance he heard a voice calling out words like 'Violence' and 'Greed'. Naruto deduced his location after a few moment of silence.
"I guess I'm in Hell, seems to fit the stereotypical image that everyone thinks of it." Naruto said as he shrugged, he felt his left hand itch and noticed a light shining on his palm, he took off his glove and saw a sigil on his palm, he noticed the writing around it was a combination of Greek, Latin and Enochian. The light faded away as he examined the mark, before putting his glove back on.
"Odd, but I'll figure it out later, first things first, find my way around here." Naruto remarked as he started walking in a direction. The scene was paused as Yukari raised her hand.
"Yes, little one?" Olga asked.
"Why exactly is Dante in Hell? I thought only the damned could be sent there?" asked the witch, Lucifer just smirked and replied.
"Your awfully naïve for a prodigal genius, anyone can be condemned to my little pit of pain and suffering. Not even being a 'pure souls will keep you safe, when one dies, their soul is simply glanced at before tossed into Hell, however not all gods do this, but rather one who has been spreading his influence through his little book of 'divine righteousness'. Now, back to the video." Lucifer said as he snapped his fingers as the scene resumed playing. Naruto was simply walking as he looked around, taking in the sights. That's when he noticed two specters' floating a short distance from his position. He saw that they were motioning for him to come to them and made his way over.
"Hello, Nephilim, we have been expecting you." The first one, a scholar by appearance, spoke as the other, who looked like a seasoned warrior, nodded.
"Wait, you guys were expecting me? What for?" Naruto asked. The scholar nodded as the warrior spoke up.
"Yes, I'm finding it ironic that a person that shares my name is going through the same place I did long ago." Said the original Dante Alighieri.
"Wait, so you're THE Dante Alighieri, who wrote the Divine Comedy that me and my brother got our original names from?" Naruto asked incredulously as Dante nodded.
"We know of you and your brothers exploits in the place known as Limbo City. As for why you ended up here, we are both uncertain and will try to help you." The scholar, Vergil replied as Naruto shrugged his shoulders.
"Sure, if you want to. What part of Hell am I in currently?" Naruto asked.
"You are in the first circle, Limbo, where those who have not committed sin, but also have not accepted god reside. Forever unable to enter paradise, but safe from the further torments below." Vergil said as he motioned to the vast wasteland/darkness that blanketed the circle.
"Wait, how come people are forced to believe in the Judeo-Christian god or end up here. I mean, I know deities exist but I prefer not to align myself with their business, but why should humans be forced to stick with one god or suffer for all eternity?" Naruto asked as he looked to Vergil and Dante as they were actually stumped by that.
"If I was a god and humans worshipped me, I wouldn't force them to serve me, I'd let them roam about and make their own decisions." Naruto added as the two men began to re-think about their views on Christianity.
"While you two think about that, I'm going to try to find out where this angry voice is coming from." Naruto said as he walked down the path and stopped ad demons emerged from bursts of fire. Naruto just grabbed Rebellion as it appeared on his back and smirked.
"Look at this I even got my own welcome party, let's play boys." He taunted as he lunged in and the fight began. Everyone watched as Naruto was traveling through the first circle of Hell and destroying demons that fought him. As he occasionally talked to the ghost of Dante and Vergil, they explained how the circle worked and who was sentenced here, this just served to slowly irritate Naruto as he didn't agree with why people were being condemned for simply believing in different things. Eventually the Nephilim arrived at Minos' little spot.
*sniff-sniff* "I smell a murderer, a traitor, a slut, and more." Minos said as he leaned closer to the source of the scent. Naruto just brought out Revenant and shot a hole in Minos' tongue as it flickered near him.
"Gah! You presume you can alter your eternal torment!" Minos yelled as he reeled back as Naruto brought out brought out his sword and had it morph into Osiris. The young man dodged a fist as he countered by cutting off a finger, as all of his weapons gained a power boost when he arrived. Minos grunted in pain as he summoned a few demons to deal with the Nephilim as he reattached his finger. The demonic judge tried to smell Naruto out, but was searching as Naruto himself was hanging on the underside of the arena and silently made his way to Minos' backside and climbed up as Minos' perceived his movement as an itch.
"I should visit the whores below, relieve this annoying itch." Minos commented as Naruto brought out the Nemean Cestus and prepared to land a blow.
"Sorry if I'm getting you hot and bothered, I'm just like that." He said as Minos heard him and before he could react, Naruto started landing powerful hits that knocked the judge over and jumped forward and grabbed Minos' tongue as he pulled on it. Minos' tried to hit him but Naruto dodged them as he impaled the muscle on the spiked wheel and wrapped it around for good measure. As he slammed his foot on the pedal as Minos was dragged forward and the spikes impaled the bottom of his face as it was stuck.
"W-what are you?!" Minos managed to get out as he struggled to free himself.
"Judge, Jury and Executioner, your highness." Naruto said the last part with sarcasm as he slammed the pedal through the floor as the wheel went nuts and sliced Minos' face in half as his corpse slid off the arena. Naruto simply glanced to the souls who were peeking from their hiding spots.
"You guys are good, I'm heading below now." Naruto said as he waved at them as they waved back with hope forming on their faces as Naruto began making his way deeper into Hell as a mysterious figure was watching the Nephilim. The scene was paused as Claudette raised her hand.
"You have a question?" Olga asked as Claudette nodded.
"I'm curious as to why exactly Dante is the one doing this, the younger one and what exactly does this all have to do with him?" the redhead asked. Asura spoke up as he glanced to her.
"Dante actually carries a lot of personal guilt, the death of his parents, turning and harming his brother, killing hundreds if not thousands of innocents would get the basic feel of his guilt." Asura answered, as Yasha clarified.
"In Limbo City, back when Mundus was in power, his demons hid their presence through human disguises, tying their life force to the human vessels as well, when Dante kills a demon, the human vessel in the real world dies as well. Vergil knew of this and gave them quick deaths as the demons would occasionally stumble on him through his ventures into Limbo, and was one reason as to why he wanted to free them from Mundus' control. Dante enjoyed the thrill of battle and would often toy with his opponents before killing them." Yasha said as Claudette put the pieces together.
"So, he has personal guilt for killing innocent humans as well?" she asked as Yasha nodded. Lucifer just resumed the scene as Naruto landed in the second circle and noticed a crying withered person a few feet from him.
"What's this?" Naruto asked himself as he approached the person who noticed Naruto and freaked out as he backed away.
"No, please! I did no harm, why must I be punished for love! We both loved one another and only wished to be away from the watchful eyes of the church." The person, who was male by the sound of his voice, said as he tried to flee. Naruto held his hands up in surrender as he replied.
"I'm not going to hurt you, I just want to know what you're doing here." Naruto said, the man stopped what he was doing and looked to Naruto.
"You're not here to torture me?" he asked, Naruto shook his head as the man started to explain how he fell for a young woman who once worked for the church and eventually resigned to live with him, a few months later they were both executed under the pretense of being Satanists by the very same church she worked for. Naruto found himself frowning as the man finished his tale. Naruto felt something in his hand and took off his glove as the marking on it was glowing. Having a clue as to what it was Naruto spoke up.
"What if I could free you of this place?" the Nephilim asked as the man turned to him with a surprised glace.
"Really, you can do that?" the man's tone was laced with hope and desperation, Naruto just showed him the mark on his hand as the lost soul examined it.
"Strange, the language around the sigil is a combination of Latin, Greek, and Enochian. But there are no mentions of God." The man said as he looked to Naruto.
"Well, I know that gods do exist, but I tend to stay out of their personal affairs. Plus I think its bullshit for a god to dictate what others do and control them." Naruto added as he stood up and held out his hand to the man.
"You ready to go?" the man nodded as he took Naruto's hand and felt the marking release angelic energy as it slowly purified him and a light shined above him as it revealed the felds of Elysium.
"Thank you, young man. Thank you for freeing me." The man said as he started to glow and rise up to the light. Naruto just nodded and replied.
"Just helping out those that can't fight back." Naruto said as the man smiled and disappeared into the light as it faded away and Naruto slipped his glove back on before resuming his journey. Naruto pulled up the hood on his coat as he felt the hectic winds get stronger and noticed lost souls screaming as they were swept by. Eventually coming to a balcony over a bridge he looked out and noticed something large moving below in the darkness. Before he could question about it large tremors shook the second circle as a large phallic tower emerged from the depths as it eventually stopped and looked like a watchtower over the Circle of Lust.
Naruto just looked at it for a bit as his mouth twitched and he started giggling before bursting out into laughter as a large figure was climbing the tower and was about to speak when she saw her 'prey' laughing as he was rolling around on the floor, eventually calming down as he got up
"Holy shit on a dick sandwich, this is rich. Ron Jeremy would be salivating about this." He said as he wiped a fake tear as he finished chuckling as a large cough got his attention, he looked up to see a demonic looking Cleopatra sitting on the very top of the tower.
"If you're done laughing like a clown, I would like to make you me next meal." She said as she inspected her nails. Naruto just smirked and responded.
"Sorry, not planning to become the main dish for a freaky whore, besides you seem comfortable taking that large penis all by yourself." Naruto said as she was miffed at being rejected.
"Fine, then I'll just keep you locked up here as my new toy." She said as she raised a hand and dispersed a large amount of lightning before disappearing behind the tower. Naruto just sighed as he jumped off the balcony and landed on the bridge and made his way into the tower. He looked around as ne noted that every single thing had to do with sex and depictions of both sex organs.
"Dicks and pussies everywhere I look, it's like being on the set of a high budget porno." Naruto said as he chuckled. That's when he smelled brimstone and ash as he dodged an attack from behind and looked to see the attacker. It was a woman with long blades for finger nails and grey clammy skin, like a corpse. While somewhat attractive, she had a Glasgow grin and wide eyes. She started playing with herself in front of Naruto as she moaned like a promiscuous whore as Naruto raised an eyebrow.
"Well, not my first strange thing I came across, but it's nice for a change." That's when the demon ripped outwards as a large tendril with a spike on the tip as it snaked about and dripping blood as it emerged from her vagina.
"… and now happy time is over." Naruto said with a deadpan expression as the tendril lunged forward he dodged and grabbed the offending limb as he brought out the Nemesis Whip and sliced the tendril in half as the demon shrieked in pain but was silenced as the linked blades took her head. That's when more of them appeared and charged at the Nephilim, but Naruto made quick work of them as he tore them to pieces as he moved up the tower. He got on the elevator as it rose up the tower and began fighting again as more demons tried to kill him.
"You will be mine and no one else's!" Cleopatra called out as s fist smashed through the wall and slammed down on the elevator, halting it in place. Naruto regained his footing and looked to the Queen.
"I know I'm handsome and desirable, but you're not my type." He replied as Cleopatra growled and summoned demonic babies from her breasts. Naruto just shrugged his shoulders as he dispatched the hell spawn and delivered a right hook to the ruler of the second circle as she was knocked back and fell off the tower as the elevator continued its ascent. Eventually reaching the top of the tower, Naruto looked around and spotted the other side that led to the third circle, Gluttony, down below. Naruto also felt the tower shaking as Cleopatra climbed back up with a pissed look on her face. Naruto just smirked as she glared at him.
"What's wrong, can't stand the feeling of being rejected?" he asked as she belched out a purple haze and soon an armored figure came out.
"You will pay for striking me lady." Marc Anthony said as he swiped his sword. Naruto dodged the assault and brought out the Artemis Blade and brought it down as Marc blocked, his shield slowly heating up from the contact with the divine weapon.
"Hey, I wasn't looking for a relationship with her, especially since she's so controlling." Naruto head-butted the demon and brought the sword down again, Marc managed to block it, but was unprepared for the boot to the gut as he was knocked back. Cleopatra intervened by sending a bolt of lightning that Naruto deflected when he summoned the Golden Fleece and caused it to strike Anthony, tearing off his shield arm in the process.
"No, my love!" Cleopatra yelled as she shrunk down to human size and lunged at Naruto as he dodged her attacks and grabbed her ankle as he threw her into Marc as they both collapsed.
"Why do I always end up having to deal with stupid shit?" Naruto said as he examined his weapon. "Back then I dealt with Lilith and eventually had Mundus on my ass. Morrigan chose me over her adamant suitor, Demitri. Which in turn has the vampire constantly trying to kill me, but the guy's got nothing to back him up. So what your gimmick?" Naruto asked as he pointed the blade at them. Cleopatra knew he could kill her and tried to avoid that.
"You can pass, we just want to live." She said as she showed her hands in surrender. Naruto just smirked as he put the sword away and began walking to the edge of the roof as Cleopatra looked to Anthony and motioned to Naruto. The demon nodded and picked up his blade as he threw it at Naruto's back, what he didn't expect was for Naruto to turn around and catch it before throwing it back and appearing in front of Cleopatra as Marc was beheaded by his own weapon and Cleopatra suddenly coughed up blood as she looked down and saw the Blade of Artemis sticking into her torso.
"Don't worry, it will only hurt for a bit, then it'll start to feel good." Naruto said as he lifted her up and over as he slammed her to the floor with the sword still inside her and pulled forward as he split her in half from the stomach up. Naruto sealed the weapon away and began walking back to the edge as the tower started to fall apart. He jumped off as it crumbled and brought out Ophion in demon mode as he used it to wing between the statues and made his way over to the pit that lead to Gluttony. That's when he saw the specters of Dante and Virgil appear.
"You are making remarkable progress, young one." Dante said as he looked out as the last of th tower and bridges fell below the darkness as Naruto shrugged.
"I've dealt with demons for a long time now, these may look different, but they still can be killed." Naruto said as Virgil spoke up next.
"The next circle below is filled with the gluttonous masses and ever hungry mouths of those who enjoy the pleasures of food. Be careful as those with insatiable appetites will not hesitate to feast on your flesh." Virgil said as Naruto looked down the hole into the next circle.
"Alright, thanks for the tip and see you guys next time." Naruto said as the two nodded and faded away as Naruto jumped down and made his way down to the circle, freeing the lost souls that he found in the process. He landed on the plateau that had a large flabby face on it. Naruto sensed something was off and brought out Rebellion as it turned to Eryx. Suddenly the mouth of the large face burst open as a trio of worm like heads emerged and snapped at the Nephilim, Cerberus pulled forward as more emerged from the large mouth as it revealed to have a body similar to a komodo dragon with multiple tendrils that were littered with hungry mouths bit and swallowed anything they could eat.
"Well, let's see if this pooch has any other tricks it wants to show off." Naruto remarked as the left head attacked and Naruto jumped before smashing it down with the demonic gauntlets. The other heads attacked and Naruto acted before he became lunch, jumping over one, he brought out the Blades of Exile as he embedded one into the neck of one head and used it to swing over the other as he landed on the other side of the arena and stopped its tail from crushing him as his blades dug into its flesh. He punched it off and stored away his current weapon as he switched to the Gauntlet of Zeus and landed a charged up punch that obliterated the right hind leg. The demonic beast roared in pain as it tried to devour the Nephilim but he proved to be too fast for the giant creature. Naruto had destroyed the remaining legs with the large gauntlet as he switched back to the Blades of Exile. Taking a page out of Kratos' book, Naruto used the blades in tandem with his speed and agility to decapitate the two side heads. He put the weapons away and brought out Rebellion as it changed to Arbiter. The last head growled and lunged in as Naruto smirked and launched the axe-head off as it cut into the lower jaw and blew up leaving the great worm with a missing lower jaw. Naruto jumped up as he flipped and brought the reformed great axe down and cleaved the creatures head off as it struggled a bit before dying. Naruto put away his weapon and walked into the circle. The scene was paused as Kusano raised her hand.
"Is uncle fighting in that place to get free?" asked the young Sekirei. Olga answered as she smiled.
"Well you could say that he is trying to figure out why he is there. But there is also other reasons why Lucifer wanted him there."
"And why exactly would you want him?" Uzume asked as she looked to Lucifer as he smirked.
"Watch and find out why I've taken such an interest to your lover." He said as the scene resumed. Naruto eventually made his way to the mirror puzzle as he noticed a shadowy figure walking up.
"Isn't this fun, I have the great Dante the Nephilim in my little house of pain." Lucifer said as he walked around Naruto.
"I'm not staying for long really, this place is nice and all but I had places to be." Naruto replied as Lucifer stopped in front of him.
"Really, and what if I showed you something that would change your mind. You wouldn't want to leave once you find out." Lucifer said as he smirked.
"Right, like your tanned ass could catch my interests." Naruto remarked, Luficer grabbed Naruto's throat and lifted him up.
"Is that a dare?" Lucifer asked, Naruto simply punched the smoky figure in the face, which did nothing, but Lucifer dropped the Nephilim as Naruto rubbed his throat.
"I like you boy, you got the natural fighting spirit in you. You're going to need it later on." Lucifer said as he faded away and left behind an object that Naruto recognized.
"Wait a second, this is Kat's spray can, and how'd it get in this place?" Naruto muttered as he picked the item up and examined it before clipping the item to his belt loop. Naruto figured out the puzzle as he arrived in the room and saw the exit that lead to the circle of Greed. Naruto wasted no time as he left Gluttony and ventured into Greed as he continued his journey. He eventually landed on a golden platform over a river of molten gold and sensed something was off. He ducked and flipped back as a cloaked figure landed and their sword, a kantana, missed the spot where his head would have been.
Naruto brought out Ebony & Ivory as he fired upon the figure, but the figure blocked the bullets and rushed forward as they delivered a tiger palm to Naruto's chest that knocked him back. Naruto regained his footing before he could fall into the gold river and put his guns away as he went in with his hands. The sword was knocked out of the cloaked person's hand as the two traded blows, neither wearing the other down. Naruto dodged a palm strike and ripped off the hood on the cloak as he roundhouse kicked the person forward, who was revealed to be the last person Naruto expected in Hell, considering the stories that Simon and Victor told of him when he was still around and kicking.
Julius Belmont
Naruto was stunned at seeing this person since he believe the Belmont was in paradise with his wife. Julius took advantage of his lack of defense and quickly recalled his sword back as he swiped at Naruto as blood sprayed on the platform.
