"Gilbert, you're late." Anna snapped, running a hand through her red streaked black waves. She crossed her arms over her chest and leaned forward, waiting for a kiss.
"Sorry, Joh. Won't happen again." Jeremy said softly and planted a kiss on Johanna's plump lips. He wasn't a fan of kissing her, mostly due to the significant amount of plastic surgery she had.
Anna was Jeremy's boss at a local diner in Springwood. He had to get away from the tragedy in Mystic Falls so he moved to a small town with only a population of Five-hundred.
He had applied for a job at a diner called Crave Inn and luckily, he got it.
The reason he got it was because he slept with his boss, Anna Ann.
Anna wasn't what you called a gentle lover… But she could be kind if she wanted too.
Jeremy was currently living alone in a cheap apartment. He took the bus to work every day at 8:00 and came home at 6:00. Of course he got breaks at his job but he just stayed and painted. It cost too much money for him to go back and forth on the bus.
After the events, Jeremy thought it was best for his state of mind to leave Mystic Falls and start over. He hadn't talked to Caroline, Vicki, Elena, Katherine and Stefan in over seven months. When they called, he always hit ignore. He even ignored Aunt Jenna's calls.
Before he left, Caroline had moved out of her parent's house and into an apartment with Vicki.
Since Liz and Bill had adopted little Rebekah, Klaus's sister, they were always been busy with her.
Katherine and Stefan had moved into a condo downtown while Elena remained at home with Aunt Jenna.
And worst of all, Klaus was trapped in Hell with Freddy Krueger.
Klaus had been a good friend to Jeremy in the short time they had spent together, battling Krueger. He and Caroline had been a perfect match and now Caroline didn't have him.
"Get out there, Gilbert. There is a pretty girl out there who is waiting to be waited by you." Anna practically pushed Jeremy out of her office, slapping him on the butt on his way out.
Jeremy didn't mind all of the affection and attention from Anna; she helped take his mind off of things. The least he could do was sleep with her.
Just as Jeremy walked into the diner, his eyes widened at the sight of the woman in the corner.
She was beautiful.
It wasn't very likely that someone this beautiful would set foot in the diner. It was usually business men who came here on their breaks or middle aged moms with their toddlers. Certainly no younger woman or teenagers, that's for sure.
So, Jeremy did what any nervous boy would do. He stood up straighter and walked up to the woman swiftly.
She was glancing down at the menu, her black spilling all over her shoulders and face.
"Hello, may I take your order?" Jeremy said nervously and took out his notebook.
The woman looked up from the menu and something flashed across her face. Something… Surprising. The woman looked surprised.
Why would she be surprised to see him?
"Yes you may," she said and stared into his eyes. Her cat-like green eyes baring holes into his muddy brown ones.
"So, what do you want to order?" Jeremy said and stood awkwardly.
She shut the menu and handed it to him. "I'll have one red velvet cupcake."
Jeremy nodded, relieved that he was no longer in her presence as he walked away.
As Jeremy hurried to the kitchen, he realized he never asked the woman if she wanted something to drink.
Shit.

Also, I have been struggling with a little writer's block and I can't promise that the next chapter won't be any longer than this one. I can promise that there will be more frequent updates though!
